Just to clarify, the gummy o ring mount is the exact same principle with the friction fit pad from optimum correct? They warn people about grounding the module, and that bring the whole point of the pad by the port, but like sanders said, the alumaze or tofu don't have this, and people have used gummy o-ring mount and it works just fine..🤷‍♂️

the maxes even if they were the cheapest switch option at like 10¢ a switch for example would bot be worth your money. they use PC stems instead of POM stems and use a very weird proprietary dual rail system that only increases the surface contact increasing the static and kinetuc friction, while also making the up and downstroke inconsistent and even worse off axis. the PC stems also can damage certain keycaps and stick more to the keycaps than the switch plate! you would have to pay me to use them!

Hey guys, I got my Geon RAW's in the mail a couple days ago and wanted to ask, they feel sort of "sticky" when first pushing down on the stem to press the key, the rest of the motion is smooth though and no stick at the bottom they come right up

Do they also feel sticky on the initial push for you ? Does it help if I lube them up?
On a side note I havent tried them mounted in a pcb with a keycap on so that friction might be gone with the extra weight

Any suggestions for a switch puller since the lekker v2s are so tight? Ive heard some people say things like the gateron v2 puller doesnt work well on tight switches. Better off just getting a metal puller?

any switch puller should work

lekkerv2s are no different than any other switch

the one that comes with ur kb should do just fine

A number of people have complained that the tolerances are too tight and its making things particularly challenging to pull the switches. I was contemplating swapping switches anyway, but wanted to see what puller might make my life easier since im new to custom keyboards.
