you can't really see from outside, but basically with closed bottom, the stem hits the bottom earlier, so the rail don't even bottom out

on closed bottom swithch the stem goes in the hole, and the rails do bottom out, so it's a diff feel

on the picture it looks like some standoffs are not removeable so essentially its just a fancy friction mount right? of course you have the silicone covers on the standardoffs to hopefully provide some amount of softness

I’m sure (hopefully) they designed it so the PCB doesn’t hit the standoffs and the silicone stand off protectors are more of an insurance than a necessity

so I just got my 80he zonc keyboard coming from the steelseries apex pro which I was on for like 5 years or something. I've been using it for 2-3 days now and since I've already spent this much on my keyboard I was wondering what small upgrades I could do to it and if the process would be any different than if I'd gotten the plastic version. I've got 0 experience modding keyboards so I'd probably like to stick to the easy and safe mods xD

I think the optimum is hybrid cuz Ali prefers tray mount stiff feel, based on his video

But I think they should have went no standoff case, include the friction fit pad instead of the silicone pad and just full send the friction fit kit

i'm with him. I like less bounce for 0.1 actuation gaming. That said I'm still friction fitting my 60he optimum case for funsies since it's not my main board

There are ledge bumps around the outside edge to keep it from going too low

Or just put some bumpons in the corners if you want to make sure it never sinks. Ive done that before

i am suffering for the constant update they make to val tho, cs kinda just stay the way it is

the recent patch nerfs cypher instead of neon is mind blowing to me. high pick rate = nerf when high pick rate on cypher is caused by bs neon plays

and now they adding a regenerative armor
