oh damn
if it was solely from the bottom out then the springs shouldn't have helped you all that much
that was his last direct msg to me
wait till I get the giga long pole geon switch with 3mm travel
i literally clipped the last conversation for you.
aka your issue is due to hard bottom out which is more caused by the 3.4mm travel vs 4mm travel
open bottom/closed bottom does have a tiny effect, but it's not anywhere near the effect of long pole vs normal travel
why are people even going long pole
and ill test when I get the dark knights in a few days
the pain ur having isnt that commen
because most people like the shorter travel
yeah this pain thing isn't a common issue. Long poles are literally the majority of all new switches nowadays
i will wait until you put your 100g spring in them short travel switches
i like the shorter travel for the "tactility" which ofc can hurt if that is too much for u
lol these are MX tho
again - there's nothing wrong with you having a pain issue, but your experience is unique and the large majority of people have no pain or issues
won't fit
i mean sure and i dont have a vendetta against RAW HEs just those were the ones 9/10 people here recommended and they werent good. yeah the sound is good but obviously it being long pole and closed bottom was the wrong choice for me. I dont want someone else to go through the same thing as me
when Im gaming i literally have 300+ APM avg on gunz which yes a lot also comes from mouse and thats consistently for hours
the reason people arguing with you is because your issue is due to long pole and you saying raw he suck because of that doesn't mean sense when 90% of all switches are long pole
it's totally fine if you have this issue, but it's a very rare issue that doesn't apply to most people
its fine just misunderstanding over digital text
for example if I take a photo of the top 9 latest switches on kdbfans, 90% of them are shorter travel switches

so if you say geon raw he are bad because of long pole you are now saying that all of those switches are bad too
which doesn't make much sense
i want to say things that would get me banned
its not even weak
like xd
divinikey has discount code? looking at getting the geon raw
someone said that yesterday and got timed out👀
LMAO REAL
thats why i block instead, in case i say too much
idk i loved long poles from the start even before HE
u got the lekkers goth?
w.e getting called weak for avg 300+ apm for hours and being more physically fit then 95% of this entire discord community is rich.
lmao this is so true
yesterday I was playing my guitar and reading on discord about people's fingers hurting from keyboard
anyone know how many keys the 80he has cuz im trying to get the exact amout of geon raw switches
get a few more
tell @kind helm post a picture of himself lets see how strong he is
okay we've jumped the shark on this conversation
what layout btw?
i remember trying to learn how to play a guitar, that shi hurt like a BITCH
84 for ansi
it's better to get like a few extra just incase
yeah no. It's not okay and it makes you look like a weirdo when you start trying to essentially tell people you're cooler and fitter irl
i think 85 for iso
get 90 basically
hes literally calling me weak?
yeah it will for a while, but after a week or two your fingertips become harder and it not only becomess painless but also easier to play
dont you have that little piece of plastic thingy that you can use 0.0
pick?
i think that's what it's called
im not on a reddit post im talking and seeing what people say and reacting
get used to the pain
eww i hate picks
this is more about the left hand
I would try to type without bottoming out the keys so much it will prevent issues in the future your fingers can only take so much impact especially as you get older
yeah i wasn't taught with a pick back then as a kid lol
idk i just see that when i watch people do cover online
me no understand music, no no no sir
real question gothikx. How do you think it sounds when someone starts challenging people to show how cool and fit they look like irl to win an internet argument? It's really not a good look.
arguement aside, just take care of your hands
this really isnt common at all
but ya maybe it should be mentioned more
its not ima chill but getting called weak by someone that is surely not in good shape , probably looks weird and has little to no social skills other than "clacking" his keyboard like a KB Parrot is wild.
you're basically doing the equivalent of the schoolyard "yeah well my dad is richer than your dad" playground nonsense
so why bring up family wealth in the first place?
it's an analogy...
inbetween the jade pro and geon raw he, is the price difference of the jade pro worth it or am i better off going with geon raw he?
lmao it's funny reading only sno's replies
better off going raw he. They're same-same
alright ty
like let's say they perform the same so you just buy the cheaper one
respectfully may i ask how was he not timed out at least, legit was attacking people, lack of understanding is not a valid excuse imo
sound is a litte different
jade pro's have a longer spring tho
so snappier top out with 45g weight spring
so is ^
it is tame
very much so
yeah i get that
i was just thinking counting all the benefits of going jade pro, its still not worth it is what im getting from people
some one called him weak finger and got timed out, "weak finger" is really strong words 0.0
let me link you my poorly mixed music from 5 years ago to defuse the Gothikx situation
https://soundcloud.com/dmitrymusician
i mean if that was all he said then he shouldnt have gotten timed out
but its just some miscommunication anyways
you wild wild man
its the internet, it happens
@glacial wind welp ima go chill and do something else. thanks for the good info regardless atleast I can describe my problem better now.
rock music
true, IN THE END, IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER ER ER ER

mr arcsyko's music got me vibing
where should i order geon raw he from, im currently in sweden but im gonna stay in denmark for the next many months
may not be the best one but its pretty cheap shipping for us, if you don't mind the wait time, maybe also cheap for you hopefully
You dont need strength to be fast. In fact, pressing too hard while playing can actually slow you down and a waste of energyall around. Sauce: been playing rhythm game for years.
lol 50g are out of stock all the time
sonoma pricing 👀
its out of stock every where all the time

man im really debating over either the sonoma, antagonist or a neo ergo
I was watching up until just before that, his action until that point did not warrant any action imo
Damn, expensive
are these all 60%s?
nah lemme pull out pics
i am just surprised because someone did got timed out and relative to what he said, its not even close
thats actually what i was just gonna ask. i know its preference, but which one would suit the majority the most, 40, 50 or 60 gram force?
totally agree with you
@spice plover try not to directly insult people, it is becoming a trend and not a welcome one. Also to everyone else try not to antagonise
do you have a stock wooting rn? stock lekkers are 60g, you could figure out from there
what did i say today that directly insulted someone?
neo ergo, sonoma, antagonist, in order
yes i do
if you like em I'd say 60g is fine, but you could go lighter also
he means the whole challenging people to see who is fitter/more social irl
don't do that basically lol
there will be no time where ill be like "oh its too light i cant use this"
it was not direct but it was implied
cuz i kinda wanna go 40g
lol ok i wont
well it can be like this for some ppl ngl, but there is also a possibility to buy a spring pack and change the weight of your switch
i literally wouldnt of replied if it was on some random reddit post... just its on a live discord chat so
this kid is talking abt being what? fit or fat?
do you like ergo? never tried them before, always too expensive for me to try
ah okay
i think ill just go with the 40g and redo the springs if anything
preciate it
nah never had one
thats why i want one
but the antagonist is calling my name
ohh that TKL is curious
thats the one
a lot of options too
wiredin balls out on materials
i heard ergo ones are not so ergo, the split ones though are very ergo
it is well built internals, the neo ergo
cheap but built like its premium
so did the optimum case completely sell out all the EU batches?
i noticed na it's preorder now but eu it's totally gone lol
one source that i can remember is hipyo's recent video with a ()ist. me no good at spelling
we can say the same about the regular neo
the sonoma and antag is pricy tho
me dig the tkl one
Asia as well
it can go to 500+
asked cam about the indepth details of the keycaps but told me he will ask more about it to the team
no letters probably the manufacturing was easier and cheaper
with everything i want like caps and wires, probably 700 800 ngl
should help me conclude on why it's cheap as shit
that could be a good reason
its not doubleshot
being pbt as well
yeah i dont see why it needs to be doubleshot
now question is how thick is it?
pretty nice for 25 ya
or what pbt method did they use
it got one color
yeeee lol
i really hope they do a tenz 80he collab with the stonewashed finish. If nothing else the optimum case will confirm just how insane the sales are on good collabs
the color of depression
Yesss more colab
ooo i see owlab being expensive af
it's honestly free money doing a tenz collab. The guy loves wooting already and would be happy to collab and he would sell an absurd amount of cases
It’s not double shot cause they don’t have legends lol
i really dont like the strap placement
yeah exactly
cheaper that way
yippeee
what if we want two layers of grey

just like finalmouse lol
grey on grey
double depression
like he's literally telling people to get on his level of no legends fr
wished they made the chroma piece tho
yeah his finalmouse collab sold so many mice
different accent color weight 🙏
Yeah I’d possibly expect to see more in the future
I think it was what 40k mouse sold out by tenz in that small session
still bugs me the shipping to my country is more expensive than the keycaps itself
yeah people went all out to get it
yeah found it
given that the new case did so well, it would make sense for the team to do more
for the 80he of cos
i hope there is less of that fat a33 engraving at the bottom of the case though
what happened to this tho https://www.tenz.gg/products/tenz-secret-mouse
Design updates to be revealed soon on TenZ discord! Confirmed Features Shape: TenZ own Ambidextrous Shape (Work-In-Progress) Wireless: 2.4 Ghz Lightweight: <65 g Click latency: <0.65 ms Sensor: PixArt 3395 MCU: Nordic nRF52840 Polling rate: up to 4000 Hz (wireless) and 8000Hz (wired) Max acceleration: at least up
cos 3rd parties case wouldnt be much for that
tenz prefers 80he sizing too, so it would be the perfect collab
cosineeee
he's still tweaking it
not out yet
prototyping
ohh thought it was dead
i am surprised by how many people like tenz, pre omen switch i thought he was pretty meh.
the dream would be they take the 60he optimum case, size it up to 80he, make the edges less thickboy, stonewash finish it and throw in a tenz logo instead of the optimum one. Easy sell out
its kinda weird how people can preorder this while the manufacturer is unknown
not saying it's bad, just not sure how it works legally
maybe pop a brass weight at the bottom if they are not going with zinc
people like mechanical gods
oo i think the one thing i dont like about the optimum case is how thick the bezels are
but maybe we'll see
even when his play fell off before his final year his mechanics were still insane
just know that we all suck at val compared to him :D
yeah same
but optimum himself is buffed so it makes sense

pre omen i always thought of him as every other washed up cs players that got spanked by eu gods
i dont think i will mind it once i recieve mine and use it over time
wtf is happening in general
post omen though i respect the grind
but i very much prefer like thinner side bezels
someone in his comment said that i came here to watch because of those biceps
i laughed so hard
lmao
should I post my frog (mini)
cmon join the funnn
YES
no
:D
froggy
so i can yoink
i dont think i have yoink any of your stuff yet arc :(
esp your current builds
not that i think i do
lol
Honestly tho if wooting collabed with tenz they would make so much money
fr
i mean it would hurt
Even just teams like what lamzu did
oh right with fnatic?
if it was an actual great designer that would be nice
yeeee
yeah i've been saying it for ages, it's basically free money because tenz is always a wooting mega fanboy
or even alexotos
hmm you might have yoinked when I posted my first frog build, but since then I rebuilt multiple times for fun
Yeah lol
yeah those i haven't yoinked
Wooting can make like editions
so i think you may have to pass them over hehe...
like he wouldn't even have to shill it because tenz has been praising the wooting since day 1 and loves his 80he
We got the optimum editing now tenz edition
Lots of kana lol
any yt vid
ya long ago
i want his reaction or review
Yea
ight let me find pics hehe
He doesn't usually review stuff
i would rather see than over any esport colab but thats where the money at
Ngl would rather see esports collabs
id much rather cool ass designs
there was a clip but it was after champs so i'm not sure if anyone clipped it
sry me no real gamer no more
If it means bigger budget for knob and 60he pro, why not?
Although Valorant is a game that relies mostly on your skill and game sense, there are certain aspects of the game that can be improved if you know what you are doing. Today Tenz showcased how this one keyboard is capable of taking your game to the next level!

his thoughts
Can even leave for stupid shit like switch plushie
the first one is wooting w/ alu
2nd fr4 venom
3rd alu venom
🐸
yoink x3
clean black and white, classic, and russian!
nah i mean there's one for 80he specifically
he glazed the 80he and talked about how much he prefers 80he to 60he format lol
ah shi
ngl I only bought this jacket to fit with gmk taiga😂
espeically now that bro retired, he probably doesn't need to carry a zinc case around
it would be hella funny if a pro player goes on stage and struggle to pull their zinc 80he out of the bag
damn if I were a pro I'd still carry a metal board like guts carries his sword
I NEED THAT SOFT GASKET FEEL FOR MY PRO GAMER FINGERS
i did see wooting is hiring a new marketing specialist, so would be cool to see more collabs and media campaigns done well
fape mod!
i am still waiting for your papi to add that to the modding faq, i personally think that is MUST for tray mount case
honestly wooting needs a proper modding site too, but i think they're not interested in doing one
lol well it's not perfect for what im seeing
but it's def a good mod to do
with the way they made 80he, i don't think they care about modding that much, friction pad is a sign of hope though
discord is a bit scuffed as a database for all the modding needs
its definitely on the janky side but it saves tray mount case for sure imo
Wooting need more media campaign, it took optimum talking about SOCD and Wooting's response for me to know about wooting in the first place.
i did offer to build a mod site for wooting, but they didn't reply either so I guess they weren't interested there
respect for offering at least
they just didnt play rogue during tbc so they don't know you make good websites
yeah i basically told them i'd build them a classic roguecraft site but for wooting modding guides and sound tests etc lol
me no marketing person, me actually hate marketing people, but me think modding community would be the next big thing for wooting if they do a bit more. geon's pcb link kept crashing for days
would be insane for the community
imagine also making your own builds and sharing them on the website
What's your build configuration so far josh?
lowkey if people find the discord first they won't look at it, most likely still gonna be coming here and "what is the best switch for gaming" (nothing wrong with that btw)
I don't think i've asked that before
nah it would 100% be used i'd bet everything on it
fr4 plate, raw with lekker v1 45g spring, pbt keycaps, tofu with brass weight
everglide?
Not sure
i did the same for rogue guides in wow by just transferring the knowledge from discord to better format and easier to use via websites
discord just sucks as a database
ah that explains why i keep thinking yours sound deeper in a sense
brass weight + fape on tofu = love
he usualy tests multiple products during the stream, maybe its just the other part of the stream
These sound pretty good, similar to geon raw but lower pitch
no foam gang
curious
Tolerance somewhat similar to geon raw too
we have a modding_faq here that solves probably at least 70% of people's question and that is right above this channel

new full black switch from geon
people would definitely still come to discord and ask, but a lot of people would then use the website because it's just easier than linking discord pins and random conversations etc
I need to take this time to make some modding ideas or build configurations before i recieve my case from Counter/CAM
the problem isn't that the information isn't on discord. It's that the format of how you use discord as a guide database sucks
anybody got any stupid ideas they want to give me while im at it
thats the hope though
ohh so you're getting the optimum one?
Counter got it for me as a deal
naisuu
it's just channels and pins of lists etc which suck. It's how arcsyko knows me from before because I built a career doing that for WoW guides lol
👀 what deal?
He sent the money to CAM and got the order dow
If i passed my classes with all A's or sm like that
salvation got me into no foam and to be honest real hard for me to use foam now
🔥
I didn't really want to agree on it cus i felt super duper bad about it
but he didn't back down on his word after a few months
so mad respect for the man
and i sitll feel bad
real
i rather attempt to make a new switch if i want different sound
websites aren't replacements for discords, they're more in addition to. So for example if someone needed reference sound tests for x switch vs y switch there's a database with it all that doesn't require a bunch of youtube videos
for me it was mj saying my builds sound dead
so I tried no foam and they came alive
The only thing im looking forward to try is a ALU plate
I have a good feeling if i tried it i would like it so much more for how lively it sound
like i can hear the potential
i think nowadays only few people are willing read and research on their own before asking
Taking @calm pulsar 's builds for example
and to be fair, asking to be easier a lot of time
really got me having hope about it
this is so true
i think maybe you're misunderstanding what i'm saying
yeah I started to prefer denser plates ever since I got my first fr4
and alu is even nicer imo
reference websites aren't a replacement to the people asking and researching on discord
they will always do that regardless of how good the resources out there are
ya
yea sorry sir i didn't read carefully, chat kept moving
the next build for me
hold on sir let me read i dont wanna make you repeat yourself
whether it is any of the 3 i mentioned, it will be an alu plate
it's more that reference sites become a good database resource for the people on discord to then use and serves as a database also for non discord people
PC straight to CF here
lol
CF was a good choice imo
the board shined in my face
ture i think one of the japanese guy in this channel is making one
but need that sense of curve in the sound acoustic
but maybe its in japanese only
the problem also is saying 'go look at the faq' is a bit eh when the faq is like 50 posts in a long channel that requires scrolling to find the right thing
it's just a very messy solution to something that should be much easier if you have a website
👀 i was more thinking about new comer, but i think your website would be more towards people like us, especially if say like we leave the chat for a few months
I got into luminkey lx60 gb, will be doing an MX build with alu, would be my first custom MX board
it's just that discord itself is where you can post a ton of information but it's just not searchable or easily usable or friendly to average person
oh woa first custom mx board?!
I think for newcomers this will also be a good way to learn stuff
damn i thought you already had one lowkey
nah I kinda started the journey with wooting lol
before that I had a low pro keychron xd
anyhow I'm not planning to build the site these days since wooting wasn't interested anyway, but will be cool to see what the japanese guy does
me love searching up builds, that is how i found out mr. arcsyko and turkeyson and mj and a few others know what they are talkin bout
so will be doing my first proper MX build when lx60 arrives
well i had a shit journey before the wooting
honestly the biggest regrets i made while also teaching me good things
or where to start
i started with like buying gaming brand keyboards
settled with the hyperx origin 60 as my first
wooting converting gamers to custom keyboards
and kept buying gaming keyboards and returning them to try them out
and geon converting customs to gamers
which i learned a few basic things
an actual symbiotic relationship
but the biggest lesson it taught me was to not buy these stupid keyboards
me started modding with mx, and actually got wooting more for seeing how it feel and sound rather than thinking it would give me any real advantage
wouldn't say it's a bad journey, I started similarly as well
I always had a logitech membrane, then I worked in retail selling computer stuff, and it's where I got to try mechanical keyboards, most of which were just pure gaming ones
but i never went as deep as mj did. i was just looking up fun mods and trying them
this
geon is doing insane things for HE community
like tsangan layout HE pcb? damnn
yeah now my wooting is the only keybaord i have
well technically
i gave my gmmk compact to my friend to "borrow"
its been a few months since i gave it to him and i still didnt take it back
i really thought gateron would be the one, because they make banger mx switches. instead we got jade max
but i may need to once i take the chance to sell my 60he pcb
jades are literally the side of apple
im sitting on two wooting pcbs too, can't bring myself to selling them
but I might before the new years'
im needing that 60he+ pcb
from lekker v1 to jade is a huge jump too though :3 we shall not forget about gateron
(i love gateron oil king)
if only shipping from me to US wasnt 40 bucks lol
oh that's nice
and i settling to sell mines to criminal for about 120
(adding like pc plate and all that)
need to talk to my dad about it doe
if my purchase with venom60he goes well then i send you the link too
got confirmation from my mom
hm?
ohh
haha bet then
venom60he is the better 60 module :3
trust
but i am still waiting on them to arrange the flight to the item to us
USPS been waiting
tsk tsk tsk
you and mj are also banned for recommending that to me!
we are all criminals :3
looking forward to yall getting your venom he
Guys theoretically if I wanted to lube my stabs can I just syringe some in do I have to open them up and can I just use krytox or do I need superlube
Thockfather is banned as well for building one
betryal!
half of the goats of this channel would get banned then
it is viable in case you have some minor instabilities, I personally fixed some of my stabs this way
Great my knights are dry and I wanted to know if I can just syringe some in and call it a day
yeah you could
if you're talking about lubing your wires
yeah, but it applies more to the metal wire part though, not sure about adding lube to the housings
dry knight
im over here running BONE STOCK DRY TX AP PLATE MOUNTS
preposterous
How does it feel?
sometimes horrible
i ran out of lube
and plate mounts are just shitty in my case rn
Also, all the things I need for my 80he as arrived. Lube, stab, raws, and keycaps!
Mine 80he still not shipped though
is there any more info on this collab anywhere?
soon you'll become ShotPlacer64
Isn't that for mouse?
Mouse setup still subpar
like it's deadass so dry
you can just use krytox 205g0 since i think the teaha does that, but i personally would use something thicker for wire
lol yeah but still xd
huh am i deaf
how come the video is picking up the hollowness of the board while im over here listening to it just fine
Skypad about to arrive soon too but getting it is stupid expensive. 250 with shipping and tax
usually mics amplify certain things not perceived irl
your head is on top of your camera bb
oh shoot you got a skypad>
Yesh
250 dayum
4.0?
i really want one
i was thinking of getting a white for my bday
if i do get like amazon gift cards or what not
It'll be my last piece of the puzzle then I can actually becpme shothitter
honestly i just want a super consistent pad without having to clean it too much
like control i can figure it out myself
im pretty steady
well im a ultra low sense player anyways
not like it matters
become a shoplifter
jk jk
Noh, jail bad
aim train for a week > wooting, 8k pooling mouse ez unless you pro
Nah, I'll just play for fun. Monitor still 60hz
my phone has higher refresh rate than your monitor and its not even new
= 120 is a new world my friend
i think you can get one for like 200 nowadays
if its a game that needs reaction speed, osu probably relatively speaking is one, monitor upgrade over everything else
imo
im here desiring so much upgrades while knowing my whole setup is way too good enough for a 15 y/o
Ehh, I've been playing high level 7k mania for 2 years with it. IM STILL IMPROVING WITH IT BTW
the want for better stuff is just crazy
nah thats bs, you get older, you have a nice setup, what do you do with it all day, fckin WORK
1 layer jelly tape
lifted stabilizer stems added a little bit of krytox 205g0
unreal difference
u rite u rite
it may seem crazy but i think i prefer the before result
nah im just kidding
good work
im impressed by the result
and when you can play games you just play old games on your sick expensive gaming PC
sry me no understand but i think thats impressive, me can never do rhythm game, 0 rhythm on clicks
SHUT UP (respectfully)
that's me, but working from home is nice with all the nice peripherals
me playing oldschool runescape on my future 9800x3d and 4080
literally keyboards can only satisfy us the most no matter what we do
even the most boring of works
lol when I built my 7800x3d and 4080 I had a blast in the demanding games I played before, like tarkov
nah actually its good, cause you get crazy high fps, the high refresh rate is beautiful on old games
me with my 12700 and 4060ti
true
osrs is engine capped at 50fps
5600g is all you need (cope)
still insane setup
I had i5 8400 and 1060 before my build xd
oh damnnnnn
i am so happy that elder scroll community is so big they fix the s44t engine
honestly i think i can last with this pc specs with another 2-3 years of my life
or even longer
yeah some modding communities are insane
stalker one is awesome too
still playing minecraft mods
which should be worth cus i think as time pass whenever i wanna upgrade it may be huge
so it should be worth, so yeah i should be happy with what i have in my pc
i even joke with the micro center guy when i brought my pc, "i know i would just run valorant on this 6950xt"
By then maybe 12800x3d
even if i do get roasted for my 4060ti for some odd reason
And rtx 7060
yeah, also iirc you play val overwatch and stuff, and your build is perfectly fine for that
yurrr
yeee
which would still be AM5😂
700+
even other games
Lmao
hey does anyone know a good switch for the wooting thats has minimal stem wobble? if possible available in germany
ok broski 😭
chat we all know what to say
yeah but human eye can't see past 24 so...

Fps are getting insane
Geon Raw HE
Im just gonna go for 120
animations fr
@fluid ravine is the geon really that good? is it 4mm or 3.5mm travel?
3.4mm advertised
according to battle(non)sense, higher fps gives you more current response
it has one of the best tolerances on the market
well by far without any Frankensteining switches or anything like that, stock raws have the best tolerances
ill check availability thank u
yknow what else give your more fps
RGB

what force do u recommend?
no joke though i broke all my scores on aimlab after i uncapped my fps... i used to lock them below my refresh rate because i had a limiter for single player game
all the venom gamers getting 50 less fps across all games
it probably results in less input lag so yeah
yea, i was hella surprise because the jump were relatively big, but maybe i am just that talented
I can't recommend a gf for people that are asking, I rather have them figure out what they like from their personal experience. In order to do that, all you need to do is look back at your current switch's spring weight and consider if you like it or not. If you have switches with a spring weight of like 53g and you like it, then you could go for like 50g, but if you think it's too heavy then go lighter, if too light then go heavier.
fr
bruh i read that first part i was like wtf
So it's just technically based on what you need
im currently on the lekker v1 but i used to have the apex pro tkl, the old version and i liked these switches more, so i guess i could try 40 right?

nah im your best wingman fr
lmao😂
L60's?
like you could try it if you want, but if again it's best to go for what you need
so if you like the spring weight of your l60's then buy 60gf
but if you wanna go lighter then go lighter
yea, but the apex v1 is on 45 no? so i guess i could actually try 40
what switches does it use?
omnipoint or smth?
actually i think im going 50
yea the first omni
im kinda split between not wanting to press so hard and also bein scared of having to cramp my hand not to press on accident
Can someone take over for me
sry bennemen but i gotta go to sleep for tmr
got school xd
Gn everyone
I will just say that the lightest springs might have a weaker top out too
so you could go a bit harder
gn gn
all good thanks for the help
i think im going with 50…
hey i wanted to ask if its possible if i put the wooting switches in a old 80% keyboard and use the keyboard with wootility software is it possible?
no
needs a special pcb
so its better to buy a new case from wooting?
what is it you'd like to achieve? a different layout of the board?
seems you ordered an 80he
ye i got 90 switches cause i bought the 80he and wanted to build a second keyboard with these switches
you'd need a compatible hall effect pcb like wooting modules or from other brands
and a case that would fit them
cause standard mechanical keyboards can't accept hall effect switches
Anyone here have black knight switches or other switches with a multi-layered spring?
black knights have one stage springs though, is that what you're talking about?
you might've mixed them with black jades, cause they do have a 2stage spring
but it's too short to provide a real benefit imo
I have black jades
a long spring like 20 or 22mm is just as good for smoother feeling and snappier upstroke imo
I might have gotten false information then. But you can help me maybe then
Does it feel like the middleground between tactile and linear?
no, it doesnt provide any tactile bump
the aim is to have smoother downstroke and snappier upstroke, so there's no tactility
This is what I would have thought, but I get some conflicting info online from youtubers that might not even have actually tried them. Glad to talk to someone that actually has experience
I was just curios, because I like tactile, but I feel like getting tactile with HE switches is a bit weird in functionality, so was looking for possible alternatives
yeah if you're looking for tactility it's not it unfortunately
there are some rubber dome switches coming soon, which will have tactility similar to topre switches
but not sure when
@dapper tartan #🌟│wooting80he message
smth unique with an actual tactile bump, it seems
oh wait these are already on sale it seems
Hm, looks interesting. Not sure if i'd like 'em, but again, that's just because i think a lot of the functionality we have with hall effect becomes different to use when diverging to far from linear
no I found wrong ones
I might just order a couple of different springs and put them in the switches I currently have, just to see if it at least becomes better. Not that it's bad, but I know myself, if I wait to long to try and perfect this board, I'll never do it
yeah that is true that tactility might intervene with features like rapid trigger and stuff
but it's also fun to try out new stuff for HE boards
Agreed
aliexpress has dual stage and longer springs, might try out those
I have it since 2 days so I'm still finding out a lot. Really fun to think about what I can use different functions for
I really like the mod tap feature on wooting, it allows you to have immeadiate access to arrow keys
Yes, I'm curious about slow springs and about multi stage. And honestly might like something a bit more on the heavier side
I used 70g springs from aliexpress and liked heavier feeling, and it's not like it limits actuation speed cause it's 0.01 mm anyways
And good cases for my wooting 60he? Preferably purple or pink
Very true, didn't even think that the impact of heavier springs is less on these boards as well. Wow
tofu redux has a good selection of colors
461e case from kbdfans does come in purple too I think
I like to rest my hand a bit on the keys, which is not too possible with switches with 40-50g springs
And now that I think of it, the keycaps I'm eventually (hopefully next week) am gonna put on, are heavier too, so that won't help my case
true
however I do have jade pro springs right now in my switches, and I am able to rest my fingers, cause these springs are longer and basically push back with more force, while still having 45g bottom out force
yeah you might opt for heavier springs then
completely unrelated but whats the best mousepad out for lets say cs, val and siege
esp for spacebar
any suggestions would be nice
Hm, really? That's pretty low force too. See, that's what I need to find out, how spring lenght and desing matters
yeah I usually don't like very light springs, but these seem to have a snappy upstroke which I appreciate
Hear more and more good things about glass mousepads (used to have one about 20 years ago, but that one would be considered way to small nowadays). The wallhack sp-004 for example. Also heard something about the artisan raiden
But honestly, I think there's 1000 people in this server that can say more about it than I can 😅
nah ur definitely right
those are the same ones ive heard about, im glad to know im not getting wrong info from ppl
idk which artisan it was but one of them is supposed to be the "best" one out of the bunch
If you end up going for a glass pad, might be good to get a gaming sleeve with it, since skin can get a bit grippy on the glass when sweaty. (Honestly, a sleeve is nice on fabric pads too though, I love using 'em)
Anything else that won’t break the bank?
thing is the learning curve for glass pads and im not sure if im willing to do it yk
alumaze60 from wooting themselves too, but it's about the same price I believe
If you're not sure, they tend to be quite expensive so I can understand why you might have doubts then yeah
Depends where you are from. Tofu is way cheaper for me here
What learning curve though? I don't know about this
ur mouse movement is way more raw on a glass pad
therefore its way harder and something u have to get used to
and learn how to use to ur advantage
aka. if you want to use glass as well as a cloth pad you need to commit to a lot of hours of aim training to be on the same level as cloth
this exactly
$80 for tofu and brass weight. $140 for Alumaze from where im from
there's no friction crutch to make up for lack of control, so you basically have to be a top tier aimer to use glass as well as a cloth pad
nobrainer to get the tofu and brass weight then
If you want something cheaper find something on alibaba i supposed
Currently running with it fam
tuff
Just wanted the optimum case but too bad it sold out too fast
Ahh now I see, that makes sense. Good explanation
No, they're from PBTFans Grey Semen
Cement*
yeah those are on the geon site aswell
i knew i had seen them earlier today haha
this typo😭
Just tryna make yall laugh a bit after the drama today
Yep that one
based
nono ive had my 60he for almost 2 yrs atp
rn im got a stock 60he with tape mod, overlubed switches and random shit i seen on youtube
so i ordered geon raws and hope to not overlube this time
my recommendation is to only lube the springs
Still thinking on what mod to go for and waiting for the RAWs to cum
oh okay
i was going to get those
Max is newer than pros right?
but people said its the same as the geon raw he
so i should get those cuz theyre slightly cheaper
It's just the RGB is very bright
they were announced at the same time
maxes have some issues though
so it's risky to get them
also too pricy
their rgb is better but they feel and perform worse
Oof sucks
yeah
Kinda looked forward for that one as well
raw he rgb is also good cause the switch is white and has a light diffuser similar to jade maxes
I was planning to use south facing legends
in your personal opinion whats the better switch and also why
jade pro or geon raw he
they are quite similar in terms of tolerances, but raws are probably a bit tighter
but personally I like jade pro a bit more cause of their longer spring and a bit diff bottom out sound
but again I'd say choose then based on the sound you like more, cause they're both good switches
Interesting, which is more towards "thock"
try to compare from sound tests
south facing legends look so goofy
I mean i cant type using blank ones 🥹
Just in case I need a glance
yeah no i get u
i feel like north facing always looks better
I used to pull up a keyboard layout when I forget where some of the symbols at
just like what u got here
btw is there any real reason to get a metal case if you can sort out the hollowness without it?
Unless you are filling a case to the brim with cement or sand or something, the case material will always somewhat impact the sound, even if just a bit (I bet with sand it will still do so), so it is acoustic preference, even if a lot less when you have solutions
I think metal cases are ultimately cleaner sound
i couldnt tell u personally cuz ive never used a keyboard with a metal case
it is, when thick enough, a lot harder to cause resonance with a metal case than with a plastic
It is cheaper though, so if you don't care, maybe that's a good thing and just get non-metal
other than foam or weight, i can't think of anyway to solve hollowness issue. however foam changes the sound by filtering while weight shifts everything down without losing the original characteristic, ergo cleaner sound. (imo)
as an example, here's my wooting 60he in freebird60, which is a relatively thin aluminum case
redux is even thicker
Hey ppl, what do you think about switch films nowadays? And do you use them (plastic/foam?
but that its not like "better" than foam filled case, its preference
understood
I was just about to say, you need to find out what sound you want, or find out if you even care that much about the sound in the first place
I agree, it's way better to figure out what you like
instead of trying to build for buzzwords like "thock" or "cream" xd
okay so i do care but im not super into the entire buying a shit ton of different keycap sets and different cases and different switches n so on
i just care about one good set of everything
also if you are trying to flex to your friends, "thock" and "cream" build seems to be more enjoyable for people anyway, half the people who don't know enough come here ask "what is the thockiest thing i can do to my board"

LOL
personally its not about flexing to them but more to have a pleasant sound and feel for myself
i dont really ever talk about my keyboard with them since they all have like 30-60$ keyboards
same lol
I understand, it can be a moneypit if you don't watch out. I would recommend looking at a bunch of videos, if possible check if there is a keyboard meet-up anywhere near where you live. It's quite a strange and intimidatingly varied world; custom keyboards. So to know what you want/need, best thing is to just experience
its not even an issue but if they were just into modding them it would be amazing
ive been watching videos on keyboards for years
which is why this channel is very nice
also i dont know if i am just coping but i really think foam less build has more exciting nuance
i was gonna get tfues ducky one 2 mini for what was it like 300$
im so glad i didnt do that
exactly
foamless is good, but provided you have a good case-plate-switch combination
and there is no rattle and such
while i flex my 6 budget keyboards when my friends come to party at my place
Cool! Sorry, I misinterpreted you for not really knowing anything just yet. In that case, I'm sure you'll get there
no ur fine i am pretty new to it in terms of actually doing it myself but ive been watching videos about keyboards for many years atp
I agree. Especially in metal cases, the sound can become so dry it's almost fake
yee, i think foamless really just let everything amplify a bit and show it off
lol I've been modding my HE boards for such a long time but always really had one build at a time
but soon gonna have two, HE and MX
none of my case > 100. everythings like 200~ish as a whole build
Next week my keycaps arrive, it's the first time I spent some more time and money on those so I'm excited to experience those. They are MT3 profile, and the aestatics are really up my ally but I feel like the sound profile will be so too.🤞 🤞
yeah im not gonna lie my keyboard (overly lubed switches [some of them are so mushy it gets tiring to press down on them just 3-5 times] and tape mod [3 layers] with stock 60he plastic case, pbt keycaps) just feels so weird now and i wish i hadnt overlubed them cuz honestly i prefer them without the lube completely
gave them all away before i moved, my place was lookin like black friday in us
thought i did myself a favor but definitely not
though i ordered some geon raw he right next morning (today)
hmm are they really that bad in terms of lube? cause some of mine even if they had a lot of lube, it just set in in time
so maybe it's smth else, not sure
i think i personally did did a horrible job lubing
agree with mr. arcsyko here, unless you went crazy with it it will set in in time
well I can say both jade pro and raw he are good on stock lube, so it's only worth lubing the springs, so you're all good if you're gonna upgrade to those switches
i did the same with my first batch of milky yellow, 1 or 2 days later everything is fine
btw for lubing springs, should i do that bag lube thing or hand lube them
Even with closed switches? Like, when the lube is in the part where the magnet goes
I personally tried both, and bag lubing is way less effort for the same result, I found
so it's very nice
alr bet
Bag, so much quicker and I feel sometimes actually better
oh wow
which lube should i get for the bag lubing tho
cuz ive heard its not the same lube
it's more like oil
It isnt, its more of an oil
krytox 105
Haha
yeah xd
okay ty
And just start with a few drops in the bag, you need less than you think
Also, you can also add more drops, but removing them is a lot harder
it has to be drowning in lube i think for it to sound weird later on. idk maybe even my first batch was okay, but i was hella heavy with it, the first few were hella inconsistent
I just went with like 8 drops on a small plastic bag
maybe a bit more, but they were all covered in lube
If, when you take the springs out, they are tangled up, hold one in the one hand, and one in the other, and twist them in opposite directions. Theyll come right off of eachother
Hope that makes sense over text message 😬
note that for super lube you gotta use a mix, oil is oil and the thicker stuff is for wire. 205g0 not as easy to fck up since you dont need to mix anything
ive come to understand more about "how i do things may not be the best for anyone"
do be cheap af tho the super lube.
yeah but your own custom lube sounds nice, you can put it that way to flex

for this keyboard, i used a lube ratio that matches with my mood at the time of lubing
adding to that, should be much easier once you find the right angle to pull, i always try to be more gentle if i can, because i ain got no time to wait for another set of springs.
Good point, should have added to be careful. Even if you don't see it right away, just stretching the spring changes the way it behaves
what do u guys think abt monitors rn
I have been very luck that when I built my first keyboard a couple years ago, there was actually a pretty decently sized keyboard convention pretty close to home, where I could try a bunch of stuff, and they had a lubing workshop (different lubes were included which I still needed so it was worth x2)
looking at one rn
ill personally get the 480hz 1440p monitor within a few months (after nvidia 50 series is released)
Yeah, that sounds pretty cool. With the new amd cpu very possible too
hardware unbox me trust
I have a 2k 165hz with a 4080, need to upgrade
for monitor review
yeah I love these aussies
i bought the 7800X3D like 2-3 months ago and it pisses me off that the 9800X3D is out already
though it doesnt perform better in 90% of games it still does very well with non gaming tasks
LG should have their version of the 480hz oled 1440p monitor sometime early next year i'd guess
The games I play, and with how good I am, I don't care about those super high fps too hard, so monitor-wize I chose the ultrawide oled from dell
i think they just recently made a video about monitor recommendations for 1440p
well it was expected 😄
I will upgrade from my 7800x3d a bit later when the price is normalized
Yeah, and especially for the future, if you plan on playing that high hz monitor, would be nice to have the cpu from which we know it can go over 500
ye hw (monitors) unboxed and optimum are like the 2 tech youtubers ill always go to whenever i need actual good info
yup
even with my shitty gpu (waiting for 50 series) i get anything between 400-1000 fps in val
currently running a 1070 with a 7800X3D
thats wild combo
i know 😭
but if u just play comp games like val/cs2 it's fine
I remember running rtx 4080 with my old intel i5 8400 lmao
but this gpu is limiting me so hard
i had a i5 8400 before this one
only reason i upgraded is cuz my old stuff broke
like fully
Wait, 400-1000? Is this everything on low and with frame generation or?
after like 6-7 years on the same hardware it finally broke
me no updating my pc in a long time i think, hopperbus is right, i dont play nee games
mine is still alive, 1060 / i5 8400, gave this pc to my gf lol
nono this is everything low, bloom on and no frame gen
valorant ^
I never actually played valorant so dont know how well optimized it is
Wow
Have you played r6 siege?
What do you get out of r6?
siege gets me around 160-220 fps
That explains a lot
valorant has almost no physics either so its very easy on gpu
again, low settings except, LOD quality, texture quality and anisotropic filtering, those are all maxed out
val artstyle is not easy on my eyes though😭
and no anti aliasing either
Ah okay, I see. Then it makes sense in my head again. I have a 3090 so was wondering where you got the 400-1000 from (since i dont know the game). Sometimes I start to think I'm doing something wrong and I'm missing out on a lot of performance, but then it turns out I'm fine
i run 1280x1080
otherwise everything in that game pisses me off
lol fair
And you said Bloom turned on. Does bloom help get higher fps??
how come, other than ui everything is the same
nah i just love the bloom effect with the crazy skins in val
so much light going on
no its not
i run true stretch
not just fullscreened 1280x1080
👀 cheater detected
also this is my own method I found out so if u want to reupload it, please credit me

Wait, what screen res did you have now?
1920x1080
but i run 1280x1080 on val and 1440x1080 on siege, cs and pretty much everything else
reason for val being more stretched is because u benefit from lower fov (due to more zoomed in for easier long range fights)
Uhuh, Stretched is used in r6 as well
mhm
i used to run str on cs, but now i just play 1080p
when i do 1920x1080 4:3 in siege i cant aim for shit
it literally annoys my eyes
too high res for 4:3
so i always go 1440x1080 which is lower quality and blurs stuff slightly
cause my goat kk runs ui stretch only
Ahhh smart. I struggle with converting, since people sometimes recommend what I should run, but since my screen is 21:9, playing with a 16:10 is not the same for me as for a 16:9 screen I reckon
it depends on the scaling you've set on your monitor
if its set to fullscreen (fill out everything) then yeah it would be different
if its by aspect ratio then we would see the same thing and you would get black bars on both left and right side
Ahh, yeah i always play full screen. Actually try to avoid games that don't support 21:9, since I'm scared of burn in (oled display)
i would never step foot in the ultra wide scene since i know i will get super pissed when i run into the typical ultra wide issues
A lot of games that don't support it, have fixes though. www.pcgamingwiki.com is such a great site
though its not about what you play your games in, its about this thing here
I barely have any issues honestly
i play primarily competitive fps games so i could imagine myself running into every issue known to mankind
Well, in that case it just makes more sense to get a 16:9 screen in most cases
yup
What mouse/mousepad do you use, if that's the type of games you are into?
viper v3 pro and mousepad honestly some random huge XXXL mousepad
horrible pad but i shit on ppl with it so not really an issue, though i know i could play better with a proper pad
i might get a sp-004 or one of the popular artisans just to see what ive been missing out on
Peripherals do matter, but by far not as much as the skills of the player
thats always been my mindset aswell
ive never been a super geek about peripherals but the older i get the more and more i realize how much of a difference they can make
big on the 'can' tho
And it’s like with just about anything with diminishing results
i like to not over do stuff but still have the best performing peripherals to match my skill
ive never ever had a super high end mouse, keyboard or monitor (not even pc) up until this year
and its really now im realizing how much ive been missing out on
Yes. That’s why I’m not that crazy focused on peripherals either. I got a superlicht from a mate that spilled beer over it and thought it was broken, which I cleaned and it works perfectly, but otherwise I don’t think I would own that mouse
Then again, maybe you got better because of the equipment you’ve always used
Haha yeah, or Dutch in my case. I thought I corrected it but my phone got the upper hand I guess
the superlight is great aswell, but the viper v3 pro is basically the superlight but newer and more refined (also more 'ergo' shape)
i have friends who even prefer the superlight over the viper v3 pro
which again just shows how much preference matters with peripherals generally
I used to have a very shitty pc, and I would still play league (heavy framedrop down to 10-20 fps in team fights) and play r6 with the same issues, but that forced me to use my insight and predict where I was going to have to be/aim
yeah id say growing up on bad hardware isnt really a bad thing in the end
sure u werent having such a great time back then
Is it cheaper than the superlight?
its about 150$ i think
i got it for 160$ cuz i needed it quick but one of my buddies got it for 80$ (not even used, its brand new) which is insane
wait lemme edit cuz i got those numbers horribly wrong
Nope, but no other choice back then. Wouldn’t want to go back though, now I have a 3090 and 7800x3d. It still feels so weird to me to be able to play games on ultra everything and have it be straight up playable
only game i can truly say that about (for now) is valorant which in itself isnt that much of a great looking game
Ah that’s about the same price. Have you gotten the chance to test the superlight 2 dex?
nope
ill be honest ive always been against logitech cuz they make one great mouse and a thousand horrible ones
i feel like what they did with the dex is just take the deathadder shape and logitech-ify it
Yeah I have a weak spot for Logitech because I used to rock the mx518 for years, back in the day. But that was a time where gaming peripherals were much more scarce in the first place
i was a razer boy
I think that seems about right. Although, I wouldn’t really want that much fundamentally different about a mouse
razer ornata chroma and razer deathadder elite
funnily enough i was actually going to get the superlight but then razer released viper v3 pro
so i couldnt just go for the older, less optimal choice
I gave it a quick google, razer started as a company in the same year the mx518 came out
incredible how razer also just makes weird ass mice but then hits the jackpot once in a decade
I just really dislike sinapse, but maybe that’s just because of how the blackshark works with razers thx crap
i only really like 2 or 3 razer mice, the rest i feel are just incredibly odd and quite frankly for most people deemed useless
nah synapse is fucking horrible
noone should ever install that app
unfortunately i have to have it to customize my mouse
but i always
always keep it closed
and open it when i need something
i never allow that bs to run in the back
I set up 400 dpi on my mouse and deleted it lol
before I got a ninjutso
I use it sometimes for the equalizer. But I use dts for the spatial sound, not their terrible thx integration
i was gonna get the sora 4k but then alot of ppl suggested i should get the superlight which ended up in me getting the viper v3 pro cuz it was brand new and everyone had been glazing it
for eq i use fl and voicemeeter until i get my audio interface early next year
fl primarily cuz i also produce
but other than that i really dont suggest anyone to do stuff the way i do it
I have an interface, but need to take the time to understand it and voicemeeter
With fl, do you mean fruity loops?
voicemeeter is super easy
