honestly i dont care who even uses those buttons
You can make Your own case with strap
no idea, debating on getting it over the aim 60, would be my first keyboard case swap but theyre saying it would be compatible
bold of you to assume im that competant
i just like the slope at the front like the oem 60he case compared to the aim60 one
aim 60
I do not see flex at all
couldnt find a single build in that case, not even other modules even on reddit
maybe im ass at searching but yk i dont wanna drop big bucks on a case and not like it
mmm, dat flex
Bruh
looks like owlab being owlab they won't disappoint in the design of this thing
but the strap
EWWW
soo much vendetta
Where are you from
Ye calder said they have their own mounting system from their own silicone pad oring
bro i am way too high to look at your avatar and that gif. makes my head spin

i am guessing some sort of spring thing
oh yea that friction mount thing
meh
It works simmiliar to oring tho
From z frontier
i was talking about the case
@tidal frigate so what do you think about the case i sent ?
yea, one of the guy from wooting team showed it during the spooky build stream
Thats wooting friction mount
That will be used in optimum tech collab
oh you meant there is a different mounting
yea the owlab one, the way that bounce reminds me of one of keybored's tofu build
with the spring
i am guessing something like that, or like some kind of leaf spring
@kind helm i tried get as much information from calder i could
is there like a different one from zfrontier
s44t i thought you meant you built one on twitch. i was like "you insider or something"
You do not need insider
Hey so I was curious if I get the Geon Raw HE switches would I be able to use my base screw mounted stabs?
Just ask calder right question at good moment
And if he dosent concentrate you get answer
Yes you would be fine
Thank you, I kept getting different answers and finally just came here lol
Switches and stabilizers are different components and they really shouldn't like counteract against each other in a way
I think the only thing you should be worried about when it comes to stabs with the wooting is the plate and pcb mount housing stab thickness
I understand that, I was under the assumption that the Geon's were long pole like the jades which wouldn't work for me do to me using drop keycaps ;-;
TX ap and stabies for example tends to have fitment issues due the them having a housing thickness of 6.75mm while the wooting's plate allows 6.5mm
Yes, if you don’t care the keycaps will slightly offset when you press it strongly
this is for the wooting60he btw
oh yeah and this
that's more of a keycap problem
i wanna pull the plug on this
If you do have that seesaw problem just get yourself a new set of long pole stabs or the cheaper route of geon spacers
This problem usually happens with cheaper keycaps that has bad tolerance between the keycap and stabilizer stems
My GMK and SP also happens, but not the space bar
The 2U stabs
I thought that it was because of the stem of the switch and the stabilizers not being leveled?
You're actually correct on this half
but other factors can come to play with this problem
Do understand this, normally switches have a total travel bottom out of 4mm. There are switches out there that have a shorter distance which are called "long pole switches". They're called long pole because the pole on the stem of the switch is made longer which gives it a clackier yet fuller sound while reducing the travel distance of the switch. In HE switches however, it's not exactly the same but kind of the same idea.
Normally when you're using a 4mm travel distance switch with your normal stabs, both bottom out at the same time no matter where you press it. But if you add a reduced travel distance switch with normal stabs, the switch will bottom out first while the stabs bottom out later or not even at all. And since the switch is right in the middle of the stabilizers, it can possibly make your keycap seesaw on top of the stabilizers and switch giving a unbalance sound and feel and over all weird experience.
Usually the best solution to this is to get Long pole stabilizers or Stem spacers. If you're using long pole stabilizers with reduced travel distance switch (or long pole switches), it allows both stabs and switch to bottom out at the same time as if they were normal stabs and switches with a 4mm travel distance.
i wrote this for somebody already
so it's just a copy and paste
time to add this into the copypasta

Again thank you for the Info!
Haven't been elaborating in paragraphs for a while now
np
Stabs hit the bottom to keep the stem fully plugin keycaps
But if the stem not long enough it will offset when you press it too hard
Only thing you can do is change long pole stabs or add stem spacer
@long totem but again depending on your keycap quality and what not, if they're good then they should work fine with normal stabs even with reduced travel switches
it'll sound uneven by chance esp with the spacebar but it still works
I was holding out that I wouldn't have to. Unfortunatly the jades have the stem problem so I will have the problem with the raw he I'll probably go with the spacers though!
i've been running raws with normal travel distance stabs with gmk and they still work fine
i do have a grudge with the fact they don't evenly bottom out but it still works
Yeah I unironically have OCD, that will not be happening
My GMK still got problem, when you try press left side or right side strongly
it shifts right?
like crazy?
one side unattach from the stem
while the other stays
Very slightly not crazy, acceptable for most
that's pretty unlucky then
how slightly tho?
you got a video, im wondering
cus usually it can be pretty "bad"
but wiggle can be different
Hard to film it, its more like a feeling
And I added the stem spacer to solve it
atleast you got it fixed
Or just don’t press too hard
Usually it’s fine
Any of you have a cool deskmat you can recommend me o
If I get a bonus I'm buying one
Artisan zero
Not a mouse pad I already have the zero
I want a deskmat
Black and red maybe Japanese style art would be cool thx
i have fr4 plate and only cotton, no other foam. still deep as fck
cotton is too strong
Try the alu plate w/o cotton
is there alu plate for wooting 60 plate mount?
i was gonna get cf plate this morning
divinikey doesn't have it anymore
anyone w the 80he and the cerakeys here?

@cedar gate
lowkey nothing fitting specifically to that
First one Is cool
This was what I had In mind
ewwwww
Embracing my inner teenager
Idk I think it's cool and matches my keycaps
ur gonna put an actual mousepad on top of that for ur mouse right?
With GMK red samurai will be perfect
Where can you buy this cotton you speak of without frying the whole PCB
Crosshair
anywhere
i thought u were gonna game on that
according to thockson its fine
also i am typing on it right now
also asked chatgpt(i know it maybe wrong
but yea low key scared ngl
Hahah 😂
I have a couple of pillows ready to be thrown out, but I do not dare to put that cotton into the case
@vague stag @kind helm been using polyfill in my board for a bajillion of years now
it's fine
and yes google is your best flipping friend
lol
But polyfil and cotton is not the same thing if I understand it correctly (used google, hence the question my dude) 😊
Correct
That would be 100% ewww my artisan zero rocks

Again, was asking about cotton and not polyfil
wait that's pretty sick
But nvm
funny as well
I was saying use it as in use the polyfill
I learned from the best
nice mousepad
Thockfather hit me with that once
he has cotton on hand i think
Thx
well flip you then! haha
Cotton isn’t conductive either btw
yooooo

im gonna have so much fun with this later
lol
gummy oring, cotton, fr4 plate, tofu redux no brass weight, raw he with lekker v1 45g spring. me think not bad
yeah not bad at all
too expensive tho
i have high expectations nowadays
i would like mine to be a bit higher pitched actually, but ngl this is pretty cool too. simple setup
after i lubed my gummy oring, this s44t will fall out if i flip it upside down
xD
I would say it's worth it I mean 45$ for XXL isn't bad
that's not a lot lol
maybe that's cuz ur in the us
or that
in europe for less than 80 euros ur not getting
that's giga cheap
lemme look for how much i can get it on amazon rn
i think $60 and up is where shit gets expensive
me over here wanting a glass pad lol
what am i looking at 💀 (artisan-jp.com)
o hell nah
Amazon artisans SUCK
no no i am just tryina see how much it is there
lmao
yup there we go
@fluid ravine think cf plate good? i am thinking about getting that instead of the brass weight
so many sellers wtf
to make your board sound brighter?
with cotton there pretty much no echo i don't need the brass weight anymroe :3
An XXL on shop is 45
i mean cf is a good choice if you're looking into making your board to sound brighter
brightest plate out of the bunch
im thinking of getting alu as my next plate
hmmm
whenever that's going to happen
without shipping
fr4 pretty neutral
i just worry in terms of "it is gonna be too high pitched" xD
like i am getting fucked over here
yeah i feel you there tbh
i still think the raws or the dashes are the best
NOOOOOOOO
it really does lol
wich ones
i think also due to raw being open bottom
wdym
not really
i agree
can't unsell and unpay my raws
like sure if you add tape mod or wtv it's a bit diff
unlucky
what if i put some really overpriced and ass ceramic keycaps on top of those?
thats what i wanted to hear
push me to burn my wallet
YES
ask frijoles
but by chance i might prefer alu
by chance
it has a more lively sound to it
who's that
also i right now have pc plate, fr4 plate is a tiny bit broken on one side(the shape is still normal not bent or anything so i am still using it
cotton/polyfill in my head also foam
:3
@untold wigeon
:3
is that some dumbass that bought the cerakeys?
LMAO
i need to find other people like me

am joking
pochizo made the best choice of getting cerakeys
apparently her luck is out of this world with her set
i like the way they make ur keyboard sound
my set is good too
IF NOT FOR
me still being disappointed
my spacebar shitty as hell
i gonna get cf plate if divinikey can cancel my order for the brass weight(not sure if i mentioned that part i haven't slept since i woke up on saturday night). then i have pc plate in hand for wooting. fr4 plate and alu plate coming for venom
lmao how
i thought i would be done with my build but NOPE
did u take all the precautions
i actually need more SHIT appartently
ayo
WHAT
it's always the case hehe
true
yeah...................................
I bought some lube
Think a major upgrade rn is to get a 60he+ pcb with pcb mounted stabs
that will save me most of the trouble
for sure
for the stabs and the keycaps where I'll do the spring swap
then 2 things i would want would be alu plate and ofc a new case like arc said
ah shit i need some lube as well
you in sg right @fluid ravine
?
Im in NA
ah still cheaper
probably takes longer to get though
the shipping is slower than wooting i think
I've been having my wooting for almost 2 years now
i am waiting on venom, if this goes well i would highly recommend to others too
again im just planning to sell my pcb to someone and buy a 60he+ from someone else
which i think i have planned out already
lol
i just need approval from my parents
because i got 2 plates and a set of foam and the pcb itself from taobao.
which is the most toughest part
how much the venom pcb
just the pcb itselfd?
yee
they are gonna approve the keyboard
120 is pcb + plates + foam + shipping
holy shit venom pcb is 49 dollars in korea, on discount
orrrr
just got skates for my mouse for the first time and there is actually a huge change
yea if you can get from kr that would be better i think
hear me out
also why would you want a venom pcb? im curious
i want screw in holes, i think thackson similar, pretty much just looking for an update
ayo 😳
gif sob
ssshttps://imgur.com/a/f2-84-w-venom-he-tkl-pcb-ag1XmQe
mmm
I managed to click the link lol
interesante
ur italian?
habit from a friend
8khz, gummy oring cutouts, ability to install in both gh60 and middle usb port cases
split backspace, 7u layout
these are main differences
but different pcb so different software? how good is that software
venom goated
also no rgb on venom
i just dont know much about the software
venom wins again here, making a TKL like normal thinking people instead of some random ass layout that companies has to accomdate with
not as cute as wootility, but I managed to do all the configurations I had on wooting
nice
performs similary in a way?
even a bit more parameters
interesting
i just see wooting as a customizable but very good software HE keyboard
like 0.05 steps in actuation setup, and a page where you can monitor actual travel of the switch
0.05 damn 😭 (nobody cares)
xD i mean its better to have that option
so you can choose to blow on it or nah
nah actually 0.10 is the lowest lul
oh
but the steps are 0.05
Yea and also you can monitor switch travel on wooting too
I mean Sander asked what are the features of venom lol, no need to get salty
I am not salty
We like Geon around here
do you have any sound test for your board, just curious :3
updating firmware is funny on venom though
Huh maybe I was mistaken
you gotta take out the pcb and press the bootloader button on it in order to update firmware
its 45$ for the large
like updating bios for motherboard
Oh on Amazon just the xl is 80
CAM which switches are those?
Raws
chad
plastic plate?
damn I gotta make some softer plates for venom too
alu is great but having some soft ones is great too
whats the case? did you poly fill this?
froggie 🐸
yee sound different from poly fill boards
thought you have something similar to thackson, like polyfill + a really bright plate
Yeah I either use polyfill or nothing
This is Jade Pros in the 461E Gasket Mount
Pom plate in this too
maxes in a stiffer plate sound similar to raws in a soft plate
it's like the switch itself is soft lol
you don't think polyfill mutes the sound in a way, thats kinda essentially what i am hoping to avoid, let the plate and switch does its thing without foam and other things muddy things up
including hollowness
yeah polyfill is nice that it doesnt affect the sound a lot like foams, just removes some hollowness
Yeah they do
Polyfill helps curb the high frequency sounds, helping the board sound deeper overall but not foamy like foam does
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkkAtWMDO6Y just found this video for a comparison between the two
Playing around with my GMK67! Do you know there's a trick in opening this board without scratching it with prying tools? See how on this video!
Zuoya GMK67 (65% Budget Gasket Mounted Keyboard with Knob)
Akko Cream Yellow V3 (Lubed)
Akko Carbon Retro PBT Doubleshot Cherry Profile Keycaps
Stock Stabilizers (Lubed, Tuned, and Holee Mod using Micro...
if i haven't lost my mind yet, poly seems to be higher pitch
compare to cotton that is
wait why would he use no case foam with cotton, but eva foam with polyfill?
there is a differen test later
in the video
ah
@harsh dove you got a link for the stuff you use?
hopefully its from amazon then i can try that soon
i think maybe i just do something similar with thackson's board instead of the brass, i tried the burger mount just a few moments ago, even more janky than friction mount

yeah its less poppy when he removes the EVA foam
I feel like the "poppyness" comes from multiple layers of diff shit 😄
no matter what you put in there, if you stuff your whole board with foams/sheets, it's going to reflect the sound back at you
NO LIKE POPPY
i feel like anything relatively okay linear can become poppy once a bunch of foams are in there
i just feel like if all the foams take out the characteristic you get from spending money on case and switch, why get the good ones, just grab the cheaper thing on aliexpress and call it a day
Yeah friction mount is better than burger
ey anyone knows a good aluminium case for the 60he
Alumaze60
thats the keybored one
totally unbiased🤣
alumaze and tofu redux are the most popular choices i personally prefer the simplistic and premium look of the tofu
so umm... i teared up the cotton after watching keybored's video
do you have a link?
Specs Case: Anodized Aluminum, E-coating Aluminum, Brass or Acrylic Weight bar: Brass, surface sandblasted process Structure: Tray-mount Compatible with most 60% PCB, including DZ60 rev3.0/DZ60 RGB-ANSI/DZ60RGB V2/GH60/Wooting 60HE PCB, etc. As seen in our video in the photo gallery! Weight: Aluminum case approximately
thx bro
Is it possible to pe foam mod a 60he+ using pe foam pads? I’ve heard that they cause actuation issues and double clicking but not sure
i rewatched the ** Aerospace Engineer Explains Mechanical Keyboards ** which i personally consider as the holy bible of keyboard modding. i just tear up the cotton and make sure air can somewhat go through
Is there a risk of esd with those?
now less hollowness while not being too low pitch
why would u buy from amazon
@cedar gate are these required?
beautiful
no but they improve sound
fr4 is great
oh okee thx very mutch bro
idk thats just dumb imo the markup is crazy
Also any good switch recs with 4mm travel?
oh and brass weight is basically essential because of how much of an improvement it makes so unless your budget is really tight i would get that
Technically yes, but wooting pcb has ESD and EMI protection
What?
just what I need
@calm pulsar do you sleep with a pillow?
ofc
lol I mean I wouldnt want to mess up my pillow
That’s way more than I used
i thought the point of polyfill was that it was less dense than traditional foams
oops wrong tag
was meant for the image
I don’t feel like taking it apart right now
but gyattt
yeah I understand I need very little, also my pillow seems to be the sealed kind, and I can see there are very small packs on AE
its packed in there
which image?
lol jk
I found a 25g pack
i am pretty much spreading out what i had originally based on the idea mentioned in keyboard's video. if you blow air against the "foam", the air can pass through then it works well with hollowness
I don't even need it rn to be honest lol
just nice to have modifiers
but im very satisfied with my current build
typical rich person, buying things just in case
more like don't have my own house yet xd
maybe i am too young still but i rather rent
dont wanna get caged by the bank and job
me a navie navie young man
yeah I mean it is looking more and more like affording your own house is impossible for an average person, be it US or Russia lol
do you feel that the tape mod changes the sound profile of the 60HE? I tried it (3 layers) and did not hear a great difference. However, i have not tried it with my geon raws though (using a Tofu60 redux)
brother can't comprehend a normal message💀
@fluid ravine i tried so hard to recreate what you did with the bounce
then i went to look at the video again
BRO DIDN'T PLUG IN HIS CABLE

lmao exposed
?
but his video with the plugged board still had bounce
cotton gasket lmao

smo bounce only
sus
your s44t big boi bounce
shit*
I'm 4 pags into search trying to find this typing vid
and ive only gone back a couple hours in messages
someone pls explain context
wait nah
okay
Huh 😭
i was gonna say your whole video on youtube was unplugged
the whole board bounces here too
what case is that?
the case as well I mean
thought i was getting gaslight
but the pcb assembly still bounces quite a bit
how tf did this shit bounce like that with polyfill
A GH60 ALU case from aliexpress
the thing is soft bro
Pretty much a tofu v1 clone
friction mount
me doing that too
maybe because of the gummy oring i am using
yeah I used to have a shitty one from aliexpress and it was firm af
but still nicer than tray mount lol
also probably because i didn't cut off the stand offs
nah
even after cutting the standoffs
it didnt even make that much of a difference
that is what i was thinking before since if you have bounce that means the whole thing is taller
or whatever the word is
correcto
i haven't slept for close to 48 hours now
my brain is brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
broken
me research, then code, then research, then keyboard research, then modding, then more keyboard research. i was gonna sleep like 4 hours ago then i was too busy with getting that sound i want
LOL
thats not good
the promised thock out there frying people's brains💀
just gonna leave it like this for now, its 2 pads of cotton spread out, original the much deeper one i didn't spread out the cotton at all i just lay like 10 pads at the bottom. fck the bounce. think its gonna be good with a cf plate to even things out
if you still have the link for where you brought the polyfill let me know please, i wanna recreate what you did :3
did cam send a link to the polyfill earlier?
not sure how the texture can affect the way your thing work, me with no understanding of material is still amazed by how polyfill can make keyboard bounce
aye
it's not really polyfill I think, the oring is likely doing the most work
like if the board doesnt bounce in the first place, how would polyfill make it bounce?
you can make it bounce with tray mount
i've done it before
no o'ringw
just
screws
this dude knows voodoo
i am convinced this dude knows voodoo magic
time for bed. see yall at midnight
chatgpt says polyfill is better than cotton at retaining its shape
sorry sir! i will disappear
gn gn 😄
bros taking hipyo's next video idea of filling his keyboard with cotton balls
has anyone added pe foam in to a 60he?
Keycaps finally came in
looks like mw heresy
Like same company?
just try them out, sometimes you can't tell what can be mixed and what not
but I know maxes can't really be mixed with raws, cause maxes are dual rail
if you had jades pros you could try doing some mixing with raws, but it would just make tolerances worse
I just thought it would give me a little more leniency on my main keys
I just wanted to make sure it would not be doing damage or something
it wont really do damage if you try fitting them together, but you will notice that the stem gets stuck at the bottom
so maxes with raws aren't really viable in terms of frankenswitching
I do have a frankenswitch that consists with jade bottom, raw stem and black knight top, I know this works together
no parts from raws will fit with maxes pretty much
ohh damn
My god switches are back in NJ
😂 I was just worried because they had different stem lengths
well this would depend on if you like raws or not, there won't be any issues apart from different feel and sound on them
Yeah I think they sound good different but not bad I just thought they are supposed to have less stem wobble
I just bought a keebmat
exciting
omg i luv k33bs for this
what 80he color you have
light
Well shit thanks just got another one 😂 I guess this one is felt this time which is nicer quality
I have a tkl one
wait for the discount day on wednesday
Shit just ordered oh well
Fomo got me
That looks like nice Japanese whiskey packaging
Haha yeah wax stamps and all, cant wait to put this on the new keeb.
What did you end up getting 👀
Zinc Raw 80HE, mine got delayed a bit since switching case color, but expected later this month
What artisans did you get to pair
I got an opal gemstone keycap and I can’t wait to put it on mine
Wow nice, from same artist? Haha will have to wait and see. I went a little nuts
Wow that's very nice! Curious which set youll be pairing that with.
GMK lazurite (gold space bar) + white zinc 80HE
Gonna be a while before it arrives but it’s going to be heavenly
Yeah I had to look up that set, gonna be awesome. Colorway is definitely nice!
Ye it’s from a 2021 group buy, practically ancient and impossible to find the novelties online
I’m going for left half white calcites + white novelties and right side blue lazurite and blue novelties
I also got the knight v2 clear stabs, it’s gonna be sick af
Yeah definitely know that pain haha, hunted the blot novelties for a few weeks before finally landing them. Cant wait to see your build now , please post pix when everything comes in!
I gotchu 🔥
What switches did you settle for
I've been using Aligner's monochrome recipe since July, been really happy with them. Im assuming you're on a frankenswitch too based on your handle?
(Geon Raw x Black Knights)
Very astute
Yeah, arc inspired me with his Jade knight build to create my own
I originally had the maxes then got raws as back up. Ended up liking raws more so I’m harvesting the jade max springs
I got Deng god switches for their bottom and top housing (same materials as Jade pros) + Jade max spring and RAW stem
So I’ll be creating my own Jade pros with RAW stem
nerd
Not wrong
nothing wrong with it
yeah well my bad if it was a bit rude 😭 its too late to have common sense

All good
Haha I took no offense, I am guilty as charged.
god damn im an idiot
Arc shut up you do frankenswitch
nerdy boy
no you shut up (this message was typed on a frankenswitch)
hope your stem wobble increases over time 😠
hope your venom gets seized by customs
lmao
That’s fucked 💀
these days they just work with those who sign the contract, so all good
I approve the petty
i dont know you enough to continue this 😭
give me help
I root for Kamala
so do i
and joe boden
Don’t worry we’ll know who won by the time my 80HE arrives
Perfectly normal
they will probably start a new election before that 💀
Yeah seems a bit wild the current pres of the us has dementia and her plus everyone else is just quiet lol
Who needs Election Day when you have ✨election month✨
who needs elections amirite 💀
wh yu want 980he?
70he*
80he*
Ha?

sleep tight 🙂
its an industrial standard tape that has to be cut and separated by hand... that's expensive. the film is 3 parts in one, that makes it 360 parts in one bag, that's actually saving you money ;)
oh well it's nice that it comes in such amount of pieces then
still a whole sheets seems kinda easier, but I also understand it has to be made for a certain layout
well if you had a 60% it would be easier
keeptape? its easy, you just apply it
it doesnt have to be covering the pcb, you just want to cover the switches
you want to prevent air going through the pcb
the complaint in the video is actually the first time ive ever seen anyone complain about the application :D
we're 2 years in now I think haha
its a good product, just have to read the manual I guess
but I'll add a note about those little chips
oh I was thinking about "thockfilms" rn 😄
personally I feel like I wouldn't have issues with what the guy had to go through in the video
also 100% wooting is an older one and wasn't really made with much customizability in mind
so cutting some holes for screws or clips is perfectly fine by me
yeah damn the guy in the video is being an asshole tbh
yeah he must have missed the manul, its super easy if you do it beforehand haha
thockfilms, what you mean with sheet would be easier?
oh you mean around the switches?
or the pcb?
yeah i guess
but then it would be a pain to align haha
thinking about it
yeah I generally meant applying a whole sheet is easier, but also has to be accounted for many diff layouts and variations of layouts, so single films also are viable
yeah youd need a plate sheet then and a pcb sheet and the switch films itself
its just all optional
theres also 16 washers in the bag to adjust for any height differences :)
oh and theres always discounts going on, so its not actually the price... like on wednesday is an hour 25% off and all day 20%
I got new l45 switches for my wooting and it sounds great but the spacebar sounds horrid; any keyboard mod suggestions?
I did the tape mod and bandaid mod
there's just a lot of rattle/loud clack when I press it
Get Geon Raws and TX 1.6 long pole stabs
I think you will find most people will recommend the Raws
close runner up is the jades but they had their time (absolutely do not get jade Maxs)
I have them in my 80he and 60he+ if that helps
I used the Raw 50g and its the most popular but its personal preference
for the rattle, you can try balancing and relubing the stabs
unfortunately i dont have any lube
for the clack/hollow sound you can try foam in the spacebar
i already tried it but it didn't turn out so well
mk
oof
do you have a link for the stabilizers?
ty
depends where you live
us
sounds good enough for me
@robust siren might be able to guide you for us store
you can try divinkeys
the l45v3 switches are a huge improvement from the l60v1 switches
imo
they sound way better
or pbtfans aliexpress store
wait for the raws
divinikey should stock both geon raws and tx ap stabilziers
and they also have the tofu+weight+plate
so you get free shipping and its all from 1 website
i got my sw knight stabilizers from mechanicalkeyboards buy im not sure when theyll restock
$18 dang
for the stabs
yeahh, thats why id suggest lube and balance instead
205g0 or dielectric grease can cost the same as stabs or not more
but balancing wires is free
and takes at most 20 minutes
USE STOCK STABILIZEERSDF
just lube and balance ur current wire
that is indeed what i said
its not like buying a new stab would solve anything for certain anyways lmao

is anything certain
yeah, and also it's not like the stock ones are an old design or anything, they are perfectly fine with correct tuning
so unless you really need long pole stabs, tuning stock ones is totally viable
especially considering new ones have to be lubed and tuned from the ground up
Only reason to swap from stock stabs is if you’re bored AF and just want to or have some sort of issue
my 80HE spacebar is so bad it sounds luke a maraca
and the 2u stabs are kinda ticky too but not as much as the spacebar
https://youtu.be/zt-WsH7Z9c8?feature=shared yea even in keybobred's video, the case has stand offs too, and he put a gummy oring down with some polyfill then the board starts bouncing
#Keybored #Keyboardshowdown2 I Turned a $40 Keyboard Into a BAKENEKO
Yup... You read that right. I turned a $40 budget Keyboard into a Bakeneko. Why? Because I was challenged to a Keyboard modding contest with a limited budget... luckily the "Keyboredneko" followed through for the WIN!
Collab with: @SwitchandClickOfficial @HipyoTech @AndyVN...
waiting for the polyfill to arrive, gonna be 11/8-13
guys dose anyone know how to modify the keyboard to move in valorant without having alot of recoil
idk what this edit named with but it makes you move little for right and left so your head moving but you are not moving alot so there is no much bad recoil
Do you mean rapid trigger or SODC/rappy snappy/snappy tappy?
anyone knows the thickness of the pcb? i tried one of my third party screw in stabalizer and it doesnt fit
I heard that cable mod cables can use tachyon mode and RGB at the same time, is it possible with any type of cable?
Tape mod still recommended for wooting?
like the wooting tutorial
I wouldnt trust it and just get a wooting cable
you get a 10% discount after buying a wooting anyway might aswell use that
I live in Japan, so if I buy a new one, it will be very expensive with customs duty and shipping costs, so I would like to buy an external one if possible.
I purchased my keyboard from an authorized Japanese distributor.
Are you Japanese?
I think you can use this cable.
https://wraith.jp/products/wraith-two-layers-coil-cable
I bought a cheap one from Amazon as an experiment, but I am still waiting to get my board
There are cables like this, but they are not quite the same😅
And they're sold out.

from videos I can tell the difference and I preferred it every time, but I guess its personal taste?
nope am new to this too, i plan to do it upon receiving my board but I have no experience with it either
i think wooting has a vid of it on their channel with the 80HE though? think they did 3 layers
yeah with creamy its just adding a lot of sound dampeners
3 layers tape and as much foam you can fit in the case
I see, I dont know about the foam part, I dont think I have seen a video where they combine the 2 yet. Curious how that will turn out, good luck 👍
Yep, will definitely post a sound test after
hopefully i get my order sooner, was moved to early december cause of the keycaps i ordered with it ;-;
asked them if i could just have the keycaps delivered later instead
I liked the polyfil one too, but yeah I havent seen too many vids where people combine stuff so I think for now its just tape mod for me unless I see something interesting
Ouch 😦
I have some experience in modding keyboards but yeah, afaik for creamy builds just a lot of sound dampeners
kinda make the board filled in
less resonance
Eden This whole thing started with me wanting a Tadpole mounted 60% that didn’t have a toddler’s writing on the back. From one thing to another, the design then developed into largely what you see now, challenging the idea that a keyboard should just be a rectangle. Specs: Layout: 60%, WK, plate supports 7U only Mounti
nvm way out of my world, 400 buckies
Can you try Cablemod?
i'll just say this right now, that will not take a 60he
reason?
it uses a daughterboard
ah
Daughterboard 60he when
you are looking for venom60he
its 7u
i also dont need 7u of a button
looks better
allows more flexible layouts
Is this definitely compatible with tachyon mode and RGB together?
I was referred to cable mod and asked if cable mod is supported here and was replied that it is not very reliable.
Oh really? I thought it was a good brand
Weird, but I have not tested it so I cant vouch for it
its good tho
I trust cable mod if you all say so.
Does cable mod charge customs duty or high shipping costs when buying?
I found it on Amazon but could not confirm if that is the version that supports lights.
Can you return it if it does not meet your expectations? There are videos of users using the cable with RGB keyboards, so it should be fine.
The only question will be tachyon mode and RGB together, but if you want to go for an alternative option from the Wooting cable, you dont really have much choice but to experiment with it. There is not really much said about it otherwise
this person said it should work atleast
I'll compare the prices on Amazon and the official site and buy the cheaper one.
By the way, do you know if there is any difference in performance between the pro series of cable mods and the rest?
👀
厚さと、Proの方がクローズドコームで見た目が少し良いという点だけが違いです。しかし、どちらも同じAWGなので、実際の違いは見た目だけです。予算が限られているなら、クラシックなエクステンションでも全く問題ありませんよ
So only looks
Seriously!Thank you for taking the trouble to translate!
There was not much information available in Japanese, so the search power of native speakers is great!
no problem, hope it works out for you 👍
What would happen if I combine a bottom housing of a lekker switch and the top housing of a jade switch???
With a jade stem of course
one way to find out
Looks dope
Hey guys, I'm new to modding keyboards so I'm asking about how to create the most "Thockiest" feeling for the 80HE. I'm currently sure on getting Gateron Raw HE and PBT Keycaps as starters, but I've heard things about lubing the switches, tape mod and such. What are all the possible mods I could do with the 80HE? I'll probably spend 200-300 if needed but I was thinking of doing: tempest tape mod, switching to Zeal Plate Stabilizers and lubing them, etc. If someone can do a quick rundown on how the modding on the keyboard works and a list on all the possible things I can do to improve the "thock" on the keyboard that would be appreciated Thanks.
For the 80he try a tape mod and using different materials to fill up the empty space on the inside.
doesn't the 80 come with a tape mod already done to it?
that tape looks cool af
A very popular thing people do is add polyfill
Kinda
Its not like a proper tape mod but its better than nothing
@tulip rapids @flat cobalt the gang is all here
"proper tape moe" when its just sticking tape to the back of the pcb. the tape they made definitely look cooler and cleaner, but i agree it probably not gonna sound the same way as "proper tape mod"
Why is it 400 ...
I dont mind buying a 400 case but what makes it different from alumaze?
well we have a couple of salvation and frog mini enjoyers here and both cost close to 300
Fine but what makes eden 400
better mounting, better design
So basically when I open it up: just change the switches, keycaps, and doing polyfil/tape mod? I've heard about stock Wooting foam being good but is there better options? Does adding o-ring mount/burger mount improve the keyboard sound and feeling?
80he has a gasket mount already
No need for o-ring/burger
Those are good for 60he not 80
Maybe get ceramic keycaps instead of pbt
If you want that sound profile
i got no clue what this "thocky" word u are saying is but
thicker denser keycaps could tend towards a deeper sound and thick pbt, usually dyesub ranging from 1.6 to 1.8mm can help accentuate such sound profile
more lube does take away from a switches sound, especially if done non-sparingly: more lube != more better and keep in mind that if u do like how a switch sounds what is the point of pulling away from it, even for the feel aspect raws are really smooth and even something as simple as bag-lubing springs or even leaving them stock can be far enough
if u want to be able to tell whether or not lubing is going to be "worth it" i implore taking two switches, one stock and the other lubed the way you'd plan to do the rest of the keys and compare them A/B in the same row or even switch location on the alphas to tell whether or not it would be worth doing for all the rest
tape mod is largely non-invasive mod that takes a really small amount of time and effort in doing, also being easily reversible, so its just a matter of trying out different layers and comparing it to without to see what you end up preferring
stabs meta is literally just finding one that works, so any pcb-mount is fine (even the stock ones that come with the 80he which are supposedly gateron that you can get sounding right by simply tuning them- which might require a lube such, grease, and light wire balancing)
again no clue what thock is but if u mean altering the board to theres less characteristics of how it sounds naturally then placing dampening inside the board (which already has a lot of foams and dampening otherwise) such as polyfill or any other types of foams can help tend towards being deeper as long as it isnt excessive to the point it further bounces back sound or accentuates the higher pitches
board cant be mounted either of those ways in the same way 60 is
honestly, me neither
Apart from looks my experience is that whatever you do or spend on case … it will never sound as we want it to sound. Eheh
hey i just ordered the 80he
you suggest doing any modding?
mods are largely preference outside of stab tuning imo
just grease?
lube and/or grease and balancing if need be
what you don't think there is someone out there who enjoys the rattling
crazy idea, but if a board is designed to sound good then it should sound good without modification
🤯
Thanks for the reply. I heard that the Gateron Raw HE is factory lubed and from my hearing it sounds better like that so I'll probably just keep it like that to not break anything LMFAO. Is there not much mods I can do to improve keyboard feeling since the Wooting 80HE is already decent enough? I'll just get some tape mod, switches, and ceramic keycaps if there is not much I can improve for the keyboard then.
#keybored Best Overall Keyboard? Modded Wooting 80HE
This Video is Sponsored by PCBWAY! PCB + CNC + 3D Print and More! https://www.pcbway.com/
The HE keyboard market is firing up even more with the introduction of the newest Wooting 80HE. With the bold claims that were made with the 80HE, can it finally be a be all, end all keyboard? Not j...
i mean the mounting is largely propietary in its implementation and already has a lot of measures to make it feel like people shouldnt need to modify it compared to the stiffness of the 60 (forcebreak, gasket implemtation, etc...)
maybe stop being so hung up about modding just to mod
and get the keyboard
type on it
and go from there lol
as for cerakeys go
uhhhhhhhh qc
so there always lies that disclaimer
but i (or really anyone) cant tell you what "mods" youll end up liking cuz it boils down to preferences
They start groupbuy on friday
and since u dont even have the board in hand its hard to theory craft what youll end up liking in the end
so with cerakeys
do note the qc is iffy, and the way theyre made isnt pristine
also ur gonna need heavier springs
especially so for heavier modifiers
outside of that if you really want them then go ahead
@stone flax a lot of that isn’t accurate
My problem with scraft is they only do SA format size keys
So all your custom Pokemon artisans won’t match height of your cherry keycaps
i will take that cost
big artisan
yum
Qc in v2 is far superior to v1 which had lots of issues. If you get a misaligned cap you return it.
You only need a heavier spring for the spacebar
Caps are absolutely pristine in finish
i mean yeah
If you like big artisan have to go full big artisan from jelly keys lol
but people continue to pay for $120 proof of concepts lmao
Get the gigantic toy 8x8 cm size ones
gluing together plastics stems onto ceramic exteriors because they tried to make the whole thing ceramic is insane
shipping out caps that need braces to be aligned just so they get them back in for returns
like these are things people should know getting cerakeys imo
on the off chance he does end up getting ones that need replacement immediately he should know now that was something he could be buying into
other than just "these are super thocky keycaps better than plastic for thockyyy"
The stems are epoxied in place. They are not going anywhere. When they were 100% ceramic they had stem fitment issues. Every other problem you cited is easily resolved by rma
so the $120 dollar keycaps have no faults because they can just rma?
damn lol
wish that applied to anything
If you got a scratched GMK cap would you rma it?
forget the time waiting for something, being sorely dissapointed that the quality wasnt up to par for the price paid, and handling weeks of rma
I have 5 sets from Cerakey all with zero issues
Or against what you dont
You don’t own them and are giving advice about them.
yessir?
not really, i dont have frog mini and i wish i get to try them
it doesnt take me owning outemu magnetics to say theyre bad either
One in a krillion
If we were solely talking about v1 I’d agree with you. 99% of the issues you cited are v1 qc issues
GMK ain't immune to QC issues either. Blot R4 needed a fix kit, which they released, are they bad as well?
botanical r2 and likewise saw bottom row alignment issues
i figured it out
how to get creamy thock
add plate foam, bottom case foam, tape mod, pe foam, foam pads, foam inside the keycaps, poron films on the switches, cotton balls and polyfill to line the bottom case
and finally
cotton keycaps
Installed black pc plate, lekker v2s with 35g springs, knight v2 stabs and pbs keycaps yesterday
can you help me figure out how to make tofu60's typing softer and remove the hollow without making the board sound deeper than Morgan Freeman
remove stand off some screws on the less needed stand off points, switch to a softer plate for tiny bit more softness ig, can do burger so areas around tray-mount points dont feel as harsh
im assuming u alr added foam
what caps are on there
pbt cherry profile
foam
