the idea of smoother typing i think comes from the fact that since HE switch do not need a pin to trigger the actuation of the keypress, there is less scratchy feel in the key press.

altho I would say well made linear switches generally have next to no "scratchy" sensation

also purely in terms of sound and feeling, mechanical switch most likely still beats HE at the moment, but HE switches and modding have improved significantly this last year in my personal opinion.

Hey all. Two questions:

1. I got WS Dashes switches now and they are 3.5mm travel instead of 4mm. In the Wootility software, should I be setting the slider to 3.5mm or 4.0mm for max travel distance?

2. Is it just me or does the Wooting spacebar sound like ass no matter which switch you change to? I changed from stock switches to WS Dashes and also changed keycaps, but the spacebar, only the spacebar, sounds so harsh and clacky still.

All switches are handlubed and the stabilizers as well.

I guess buyin TX AP long pole stabs would be a potential fix to get rid of the clackiness in the spacebar

I'm planning to replace the L45 in my 80HE with the GEON Raw HE (40g or 50g). Which of these (40g or 50g) would be closer in terms of actuation force to the L45?

I've also purchased foam padding for the spacebar to get rid of the hollow sound, but I'd still like to replace the stabilizers. I know they have a shorter travel distance, likely around 3.3mm compared to the 4.0mm in the L45. With that in mind, should I choose any specific stabilizers? I'm primarily considering the TYPEPLUS x YIKB, but TX AP and TX AP Long Pole are also available.

This is very interesting because; iirc, a KS-20U top housing is compatible with a KS-20T (Jade) bottom housing but not with a KS-20 stem (it doesn’t fit through the KS-20U top housing). Does this mean the Jade Pro’s stem is different from a KS-20(T)’s stem? Or is the Jade Max’ stem different from a KS-20U’s stem? 🤔

bit of dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge, clean it in a bathtub or a shower

leave it to dry for a day or two

i am also a bit interested in seeing those chinese clone of artisan pad. supposedly cheaper but similar performance. i think fanatic's dash or whatever its called is supposed to be really similar to one of artisan's pad as well

they're all fairly similar, but they're all quite good. I use the saturn pro myself and it's been great

LTT did like a movement accuracy test with it and apparently it did pretty well(but LTT being LTT use like relatively generic stuff like logitech or razer)
