Anyone avoid lubing this part on the stabs? From my experience it makes the switch feel sluggish/slow even when adding a light amount of lube

normally people will fill that part with some grease like dielectric grease with a syringe after installing stabs to tune them, some stabs need it more than others, some people do the "holee" mod I think it is where they put pieces of bandaids inside there to reduce the rattle and noise from the end of the wire

I usually coat my wire in dielectric grease pretty good then put a bit more in as needed, cherry clip ins I use I find need a good amount

I have also tried both dielectric grease/Krytox 205g0 but the grease makes it more sluggish than Krytox but I do want to remove the ticking noise I get on my current stabilizers

Yeah particularly the housing, the wire doesn't make a difference in feel. Only the sound changes by removing the ticking

80he won't have this issue due to it being pcb mount only, but for 60he+ you have to check for compatible stabs

it's dual use because wooting converted to screw ins in their stock 60he+ module while still shipping plate mount with the prebuilt

so it had to fit both types

btw not only wooting stabs works, some other brands work too - you can do a search here and i'm sure you can find out which stabs work, but that not all stabs will work

They are identical to Hejin/Grain Gold’s Sticky Rice (not Haimu’s Sticky Rice) switches. They are pretty dry though, considering the Black Knights and Yellow/Teals were oiled up, these have a tiny bit of lube on the rails and that’s it.

A cheap option if you want a closed bottom switch but the benefits from the Raw HE top + box stem.

The 80HE doesn't use the traditional gasket mount where you put adhesive on the plate or top and bottom case nor gasket socks. It uses a silicone pad that has protruding tabs that is used as a gasket mount.
