sure it will be good
sure
oh its black snails cousin
heehee

I'm dont use any noise supression or anything like that
i run it raw
Oh shit it should be south facing then
with suppression enabled it obv doesnt transmit it in a very noticible way but the mic ends up sounding very muffled
no
North?
doesn't matter
Returning it
a few years ago every manufacture changed the top housing mold to where north facing is compatible with cherry profile
Oohhh
so if you buy older switches (dont got an example) then it wouldnt be compatible
but otherwise from the point where lekkers came out, they're compatible
so dont worry about north facing or south facing compatibility
reminds me of how every country once collaborated together to stop using this one chemical or whatever it was to stop damaging the ozone layer
and the question for north vs south on the wooting, i wouldnt ask that either
the answer is who gaf
the only difference when you switch to south facing is the rgb being dimmer
so at that point who cares, and if you care about rgb just use north facing
if you dont then wtv, might as well mix north and south for the funnys
Mustard gas?
Oh no I'm thinking of warfare
Wow that's crazy just looked it up
Are you in the states?
Oh ok cool. If this POM plate I ordered works out the way I want it to then I’ll send you my kbdfans CF one if you cover the shipping.
Oh fr? Alr I'll be down
Yes of course. I only have one build. Pom is hopefully going to be my endgame plate
I’ll keep you updated
thanks frijoles
From Tom?
the more i use the jades, the more i feel like they might be a tad bit too heavy for me
No problem
Yes
I’ll send you an extra set of the screw kit too. You’ll need that.
oka 👍
Put some m3 silicone adhesive tape under my spacebar. Sounds a little more on profile. Maybe GMK spacebars will sound better on this when I get Kitsune in.
This is cherry PBT Copper which is just a placeholder for the time being.
Salvation with stock Geon Raw HEs. No foams or silicone
Might need some plate poron foam to dampen some subtle pinging.
I don’t really want to muffle things though.
@dapper hazel sry for ping but just ordered a light grey felts 👍
I forgot to ask but what are the wrist bumpons
where you at bro
one's for you
xd
Nah what the flip
what are you up to?
Just ordered a keebmat now I'm helping my mom paying off her mach credit card lol
well unsuccessful
couldnt add credit card to the macy's account for some reason
nah but actually tho why you buy another one
genuinely curious
i sold one to someone for more money, got myself another one
Couldve build like a budget pc for that
simple flip
dm me
Module and alumaze arrived today. Went with the plasti-dip route with the brass accent. Sadly the gray is close but not exact for WS grayskies.
looks good
when are you shipping it to me
😉
ohh very mature, I love it
is the SM7B good ? thinking of buying the SM7DB
Yes. Get the regular
Although I do think that shit is too overkill
because i am tryna save some costs the sm7db has a built in preamp
i dont have to buy another u feel me
first mic ever so i gotta consider carefully
what interface are you using?
not sure think i will be getting the scarlett or go xlr ?
i dunno man
completely new set up
any advise for me sir ?
just get the regular SM7B
i have no budget but at the same time, the sm7db is newer and has a built in pre amp
and get another pre amp ?
what is bad about the sm7db do u have any idea ?
most ppl are just like you recommending me the sm7b
have you considered getting a more affordable mic in general like the at2020?
if you get that + an interface, i doubt you'll be unhappy with whatever you're trying to do. be it podcasting, voicechatting ,singing, recording music
its just the thought of
buying something ppl normally dont you feel me
it might be bad it might be good
but to take the risk ?
so to be safe, and buy something most of the world does ?
i guess thats normal i dont know
this is a better idea
Should I invest in the keycaps or a wrist wrest from wooting and a better control for my mic or a better headset or a second monitor
Got it
??? that highly depends on your priorities
Melgeek MADE68 x KAILH Green Bee Magnetic Switch
Idk i dont rlly need a 2nd monitor i have a mic control my headset is the steelseries arctis 7 wireless and the keycaps are the stock abs from wooting
if you don't need a 2nd screen, then don't think about getting one .. I came from 2 and gone back to 1 :F
Yea
if you value sound, don't use a gaming headset but instead get some good quality studio headphones and a separate mic, but that is a costly thing in total :p
I have a rode podmic
that's nice
I want good sound but not spend 400
about wrist rests .. I really got no idea when or why people need them, maybe if you've got injured wrists or something :p
and abs keycaps are fine as long as you like them ¯_(ツ)_/¯
They are slippery
yeah you can get good headphones for far less than 400 :p
I'd aim for a budget of around 150
Ok any suggestions?
ah well, then it could be an idea to switch to PBT .. doesn't have to be the wooting ones, though
I HAVE A ISO FRENCH layout i litterally cant find any
I enjoy using beyerdynamic dt990 pro, but they have an open back (=doesn't seal you off), they have the dt770 pro for closed back i think though .. just an idea, you can read up on reviews if that's something for you
But where do i plug that in?
Like I'm confused
you can plug it via regular 3.5 mm
I plug it into my audio interface with 6.35mm
But i also have yhis shi
And how is the cable?
And I've heard that the earcuffs get mushed and stuff
How much is your interface?
for wrist rests to level out the height against the mat
over 6 years or so, yes it happens
Oh
And im used to wireless so idk hiw i will like the cable
And i mainly game like competetivly so idk
cable is super fine, coiled, too
This is my setup rn so idk hownto cable wil go with my keyboard in the way
Same way he did. Under the table
How even?
Tape?
is that an elgato arm
Yup
2 sided tape yes
im not really liking my rode arm that much
What arm is that? looks nice
What do I do with the buttons?
upside down?
Nothing. You set it how you want it and leave it. You can still access the buttons if you need
You install it upside down
Just like Kai did
mine isn't upside down though
Oh well same applies
Yea
I recommend watching desk setup videos on youtube. You’ll get good tips there
Ok im thinking abt this but what do I do with the cable?
Ziptie some of it or let it hang
Leg of the desk is a good spot
wait
got these, love em
for under the desk it's ideal
Evil Dolch 😈 https://geon.works/products/gmk-evil-dolch-the-split

A very nice set for a very nice price 👌
not bad, i hope the tape of yours is strong enough for the job? better keep an eye on it for the next week :P
I don't think its.going anywhere
sounds powerful and looks good
but bro
you got height adjustable legs
why do you have to have a paper under one of them XD
the black thing on the bottom can be screwd in/out
as long as it's not under high tension it should be fine
depends on the cable quality, too. some are more happy to bend than others. but most of the time, the lifetime depends on 'how many' times it's being bent
Oh ok
And this interface is good for the 770 or.990
This is not finished but my cablemanagment is mid id say
@broken cape wich should I get for gaming?
And what is the fidderence between 990 770 and stuff
And i dont want a headset dent man
your interface will be fine
for the difference, maybe read up on this
If you landed on this page from another article, don't worry! It's all here :) I've just condensed everything into one. Greetings mate and Welcome aboard. Stuart Charles here, HomeStudioBasics.com helping YOU make sound decisions
i have the 990 because i still want to hear my surroundings a little :)
I don't with my parents and siblings
Get iems then
Ehhh never had a good pear without slipping out my ears
Ahhh that's fair! It can be hard finding the right tips
why do you have the sm7b ? just asking out of curiosity even tho u think the at2020 is a better idea
A friend paid for me to get it
kind of
and I've always wanted it too
I love how it looks
But doesn't change the fact that it's overkill and completely unnecessary
Wait was everything sold out when you linked it?
oh it's a preview of the GB nvm
swapped from raw he stock 40g springs to ali express dual stage 48g and broke 140 WPM
I run the ath 2020 usb x
Its one of the best mics
Im going slow im going at an 120
From 140 to a 120
If i remember right
yeah I press my keys kinda hard so 40g was never a good choice for me
lubing springs made such a huge difference. Liking my raws much better now
@broken cape wich should I get
I got a 60g raws LOL
For like 28 USD*
Shit was a steal
the pro, because the M is for drummers
I got 50g raws but also all 3 kinds of HE springs form geon
Ahh
And it good right?
Like good sound for gaming and music and surround sound
Noice canceling?
@broken cape and the 250ohm?
most def lol
which ones are you using
havent arrived yet 😄 on the way from korea
oh I see
currently I use 70g springs
nah they sound too good with lube on springs
been holding it off too long because it's so boring to do
because you got that interface, 250 ohm for sure
but definitely worth it
not active noise cancelling, but you're not gaming on an airplane are you :p
for virtual surround stuff, you probably need to tinker with some software, but it's possible. i use mine for gaming and music
Had them for like 5 years
❤️
Huh but idk wich to closed or open back
if you want to lock outside sound out go for closed back
Ok but idk how much sound an open lets trough
hmm
when you listen to music you don't really notice anything
but i'm sitting here with my headphones on, no sound playing rn and i hear a plane outside
Mine are open back and I still have to take off my headset when someone comes in the room and speaks to me
I mean. I don't need to, but I prefer it
Because it locks some sound out after all
yeah but that's something different
Hello does anyone know if these Stabalizers are clip ins
?
pleaz help
Ngl beyerdynamics are overrated, that treble peak on them is bad
yeah if you're blasting a game or music you're not gonna hear anything from the outside either way
But I have a little brother that comes and scream in my room when im in a comp game so
Yea
btw
Kk
i dont have a wooting keyboard but i could do with some help still, i have these keyboard switches which have 2 pins, and i cant find anywhere that sells switches which match my ones
ye
dont they have a rev3 for the same price?
idk
those are rev2
Open ended got more soundstage if you value that more
these are on sale for $10
so are the rev 3
What is the difference between Rev2 and rev3?
would anyone be willing to tell me any websites that could sell 2 pin switches?
So the 770 pro 250phm then
hm, this really settles over time
more options
But my interface is not that good like not strong so idk
more options for different keyboard sizes?
yes they are
👍
so should I get rev3's?
I am just buying it for the wooting 60he
colours and long pole or not
Like getting used to or burn in?
I mean I never see the colour of it so I dont mind
They worth it?
and I dont know what a long pole is
great
yeah
whats a long pole? @ionic breach
@elfin garnet you sure my interface holds it
its for 3.5mm
depends on what switch you have
Can't tell what you have from the picture
I have gateron jades?
should I get a long pole?
unless my ears have changed over the years, I'd say it's a burn-in. I used to run them with an EQ but I don't anymore
@ionic breach
low key 95% sure you need long poles
but i am now doubting myself
hmmm
how can I figure out what if I need a long pole or not?
Should be fine. You'll notice it real fast if you can't turn the volume up far enough
I have dye sub pbt keycaps and ABS keycaps
same price tho
why not get long pole
well get long poles then, they wont hurt lol
so long poles would 100% work?
With jades? Yes
6.25u
Not necessarily. Jades are known to work with normal stabs if you have decent keycaps. Longpoles are a better fit so if you don't plan to swap out your switches any time soon - go long pole
I had no issues with stabs with jades and xray
my setup
okok I go long pole
meaning I get these stabalizers
=
^^^^^ these ones yes?
are those different from TX AP?
no idea
cause TX AP screw-ins are too wide for wooting plates
Bro then i need to resend it and stuff
@ionic breach
these the guys I get?
and 6.25u
6.25 yes yes
Hm you could also buy a dedicated dac amp combo for just the headphones if your budget permits it
i dont really know what that means
just the length im guessing
anyways
buying it
length for space bar
for the space bar?
ye
idk lmao
Nah
stabs are one of the things i keep stock
1.6mm
you sure?
ya
np
you helped me a lot
It's 1.6mm that's the pcb thickness of the 60he
👍
Go for a lower ohm, it won't matter much
aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh
they are sold out
ill will be waiting..
does anyone know where I can get this anywhere else?
i doubt it ngl
Isn’t tx one of the ones not compatible with 60he?
1.6mm seems to be sold out everywhere
Or is he buying for 80he
rip
LITERALLY
I looked at 6 different websites
😔
ya btw what are you using it for?
im using it for 60he
Lol
is this true?
depends build to build
idk im just using any stabs that work on the 60he
I just wanna get it over and done with broo
taking forever to find everything
why not default?
im very new to this
Yeah tx is one of the stabs generally not recommended because it has the most reports of not fitting
im gummy mounting it
You might get lucky and be okay for tolerance but a lot of the reports of it not fitting are tx ones
and gummy mounting on the default stabs on 60he dont fit
hmm
$10 bet
I mean they should work in theory?
In theory it won’t
If you get lucky they might but by pure measurements it shouldn’t fit unless you get really lucky with the tolerances
I did it yesterday, it does fit
This guy says it doesnt fit
AP stabs?
tx ap stabs
Don't listen to him, graveshift small o-rings works with screw ins
I have
let me find the gummy mount i bought one sec
I bought 30A, 60
What’s the question here?
stabs for gummy 60he
^
He’s deciding to gamble or not on tx ap stabs
If it’s TX AP plate mounts, it’s fine
He’s linking the screw ins I think
You’re gambling if you go with PCB mount
clip ins
@broken cape ok so should i go dor a 80 ohm then?
Yeah pcb mount I mean sorry
I need clip ins for the gummy mount\
What do you have currently? Stock wooting screw ins?
Hm not sure about bakeneko o ring, idk what measures they are compared to graveshift
stock wooting
(keyboard not build yet
I just need to get clip in stabs for my gummy mount to fit)
BUT
some peopel are saying I dont even need clip ins
and I can just have screw in stocks
for my gummy mount
is this true?
Yeah but you need a smaller/thinner O-ring for screw ins
hmm
30A, 60
Those are mediums
so do i need clip ins?
If you’re using a medium sized o ring, yes
okok
based on what ur saying
should I get this:
Can also use plate mount with medium size
tx ap plate stabs?
what switch is lighter Geon raw He or L45
rev 3.
Geon Raw He 40g
idk what plate mount is
Welp guys I think ima gonna go down to 70s today and try it
geon raws have 3 weights
Can also get lekker spring packs tho and get lower
accept friend req i wanna ask you smth
Ok
How do you know if you overlubed anything just wondering ?
Basically tx make stabs that mount to the pcb and also make stabs that mount to the plate
Did you buy the wooting module or the prebuilt?
Module+
as long as there is no issues its fine
its just the sound you like
Linking it will help more than the picture
Why are you getting long pole?
arent TX pcb mount stabs too wide? or is it only TX AP?
jades
lots of people said to get long pole
I have jades
We can’t tell if it’s pcb or plate version from the photo
Oh, well you don’t need long pole for jades, just depends on your keycaps
i have XRAY keycaps
and I have these PBT dye sub hippo keycaps
but I wanna use both
just changing them out time to time
If your keycaps don't pop off of stabs when pressing down the extreme ends, you good with no long pole
Well if you don’t plan on using different switches that aren’t shorter travel in the future, you’ll need to swap stabs again , but you should be fine with regular stabs
well idk I dont have the keyboard built yet or anything
https://cafege.com.au/products/tx-stabilizers-ap you’re in the old version page btw
the old version has a discount
but its also sold out
I have similar build to yours, i can attest to it being fine
these dont work
too wide
u mean the stock stabs from the wooting 60he module are fine for my medium size gummy moutn and my keycaps?
get a small o ring probably is easier ngl
Yeah so you’ll need PCB clip in or plate mount
Bakeneko are considered medium even if they 60%?
Just get cherry clip ins, tx ap plate mount or durock v3 plate mounts
Yeah the thickness
okok i get cherry clip ins
could you kindly link me
pretty please
:DDDDDDD
All of this reminds me why I didn’t gummy mount lol
yeah dude this is so confusing for me
thank god ill be getting a gasket mount soon
and im a new builder
Includes: 2U x4,6.25U x1, 7U wire x1 Friendly reminder: The wire is from Gateron TRANSLATE with x English Arabic Hebrew Polish Bulgarian Hindi Portuguese Catalan Hmong Daw Romanian Chinese Simplified Hungarian Russian Chinese Traditional Indonesian Slovak Czech Italian Slovenian Danish Japanese Spanish Dutch Klingon Sw
It’s easy than this lol
u dont believe me?
painful
what case is this going in anyhow?
tofu 60 redux
aluminum black anodizedd
Oh, why the gummy mount? Just for fun I guess?
Specs Case: Anodized Aluminum, E-coating Aluminum or Acrylic Weight bar: Brass, surface sandblasted process Structure: Tray-mount Compatible with most 60% PCB, including DZ60 rev3.0/DZ60 RGB-ANSI/DZ60RGB V2/GH60/Wooting 60HE PCB, etc. As seen in our video in the photo gallery! Weight: Aluminum case approximately 0.8 kg
honestly idk people told me
I literally just followed guides
on how to get a good sound
people said o rings or gummy mount
I just succommed to the gummy mount
I like gummy oring mount over tray mount in my freebird60

I have Durock v3s coming today!!
Shipping from china, ouch
double shipping
so @harsh dove
Includes: 2U x4,6.25U x1, 7U wire x1 Friendly reminder: The wire is from Gateron TRANSLATE with x English Arabic Hebrew Polish Bulgarian Hindi Portuguese Catalan Hmong Daw Romanian Chinese Simplified Hungarian Russian Chinese Traditional Indonesian Slovak Czech Italian Slovenian Danish Japanese Spanish Dutch Klingon Sw
these will 100% work with my gummy mount medium size
blahh blah
Yeah
they will work cause they have no screws sticking out
Yeah and it doesn’t have to be kbdfans if the shipping is too high
idm i guess
if u could find another website
Well there’s other sites that sell them
I wonder, do small o rings work with stabs other than screw in ?
could you link me?
Just Google cherry clips ins
You’ll find a bunch of links
how long does aliexpress take to ship to US? cause kbdfans has an official store there and I received these same stabs from there yesterday
For me usually 2 weeks about
ah sorry lol
are these the same? @harsh dove
Yeah
6.25u
am i getting? 6.25u (4x2u and 1x6 .25u)
Yes
Everywhere I checked says they can hold 250
@harsh dove does this mean i can have a poron pad inbetween my PC plate and my PCBA?
just double checking
ever since socd got banned my life has been worse
like way worse
im talking %70-90
cheats + wooting keyboard?
cheating + cheating = not cheating
double negative
yes
i think u got this man
love u too bro
@harsh dove
it literally says poron pad lol
please sir your knowledge is vastly greater than mine
nonono
for the stabalizers
would it work with them
IDK
im very bad at keyboards
botth silicon and poron pads are made to work with any stabs
treat me like im 2 years old
thank you
What will aftermarket stabilizers do?
I dont think it really matters unless the stabilizers you already have rattle or something
up 2 u
That is correct. Or you get them for a particular reason like you do deapple (friction mount)
im only doing it because im gummy mounting with a medium size gummy mount and I need clip in stabs for it to work
Ive learned so much
past 3 weeks
so much keyboard jargon
That's what this channel is for so that's good
This is a whole other language to me at this point
For my pc plate do I have to remove all of my keycaps and switches?
To switch it
Yes because you need to separate the plate and the PCB
Get one. It's cheap

But now I gotta wait till that comes inn
shipping is what kills you
I should’ve just did it yesterday
Yes
👍
Can’t use silicone with gummy mount
ordered it
good, im using poron anyways
No I meant before I put my switches in lmao
I got the module and pc plate at the same time
Just waiting for my case lol
ah yeah that would be ideal
I took everything apart yesterday and today lol
It's not fun
The uphoria um2?
Yes
Kk
Search "Uphoria UM2 250 ohm" on google
Otherwise ill buy a better one
any gasket pad alternatives to the silicon that damps the deeper sounds less?
i can't tell if i'm hearing my jades' springs rattle
What interface do you have?
Sound BlasterX G6
You sure the headset will work with mine
In this video, we test the Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 to see if it can properly power a set of 250 ohm headphones for music listening, video editing, and vocal monitoring.
PRICING FOR EQUIPMENT FEATURED IN THIS VIDEO:
► Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 Audio Interface: https://currentprice.io/uphoria_umc22
► Logitech Blue Sona Microphone: https://curren...
Either way it should be fine. Most forum posts says that it's enough with the UM2. You don't want to blow your ears out anyway
And upgrade soon then?
I don't think you need to, but if you feel like they don't provide enough sound you could yeah
oh I do, ive seen the click leaf remnants on the bottom housing and on the stem of the lekkers
the entire premise of that video is wrong
it's not the impedance you need to look at to determine whether something can power them, but the sensitivity 🤦♂️
why does this video exist
Is it even that big of n upgrade over my steelseries arctis 7wireless
Sensitivity is measured in a zillion ways by the different manufacturers. Impedance is a good way to give you a general idea which ig the video is for. It's a >3 min video about a budget interface. It's not meant to be an in-depth audophile guide
I don't know. I don't own the arctic 7 wireless
I think it just makes the issue seem more simple than it is and leads people to believe that you need x amplifier for y amount of ohms
as good as misinformation I feel
just buy the headphones and if they aren't loud enough, get an amp
You could say that, but if you are in the budget range that's probably the only question you want answered anyway
most likely any amp drives any phones unless you go out of your way to find the most difficult to drive headphones (which don't really exist at these priceranges anyway)
Yeah, well. That's what I've tried getting at, but easier said than done lol
hell, the 300ohm sennies I had were fine off a phone...
it's a good mic, not really a question about that, but it isn't really worth spending that much on a mic unless you'll actually take full advantage of it. do you wanna have the mic pretty much right in your face? it's a low sensitivity dynamic mic, you're losing a lot of the advantages once you move it more than like.. 3 inches away from your face (having it pointed a bit below your mouth). also you should probably look at different parts of your setup first before spending that much on the mic. do you have any sort of room treatment? would highly recommend to add some
Yeah exactly. So what you said about just buying them and trying is what I'd do
which headphones we talking about
990 pros I just can't recommend, they are very particular
very different sound profiles lol, personally I'd go for the 770s but not because of sound quality, more because I just dislike open headphones
Huh?
too funky curve to recommend to someone who doesn't know what they want
Yea but my thing is what ohm version should I get
The 80 or the 250
I've moved to basically only using iems these days
whichever
How much do they cost?
the difference sound wise is pretty negligible
Bc i have this
get the dt770 80ohm and be done with it
iems = in ear monitors so like the thingies you put in your ear
Yea how much do they cost?
And are they better?
etymotic er2 whatevers
depends on which you get lol
I find them less annoying to wear, doesn't mess with your hair, you can use them outside without being a weirdo, no sound leaking out
er2se or something
damn going for that deep pen

Yea but much more cleaning right?
And fitment isues
Whzt abaut lifetime like how long do they last
forever if you take care of them I suppose
same as with anything else
the tips you might wanna replace from time to time, just like pads on over-ear headphones
less if you drop them on tiled floor in my experience
I have overears at home and wireless buds at work/outside
iems at the PC are bothersome on account of me taking them off and putting on all the time when I go to the fridge or something
Yea thats annoying
I used to (even have some pretty nice over ears with hd660 and t5p) but these days I just use my variations all day lol, I wear them like 13 hours a day.. probably healthy idk
with IEMs in comparison to overears you get typically more bass extension and just better isolation of outside sounds
with overears you get a wider soundstage instead of everything sounding like it's playing inside your braincase
pick what you like I guess
neither is a bad option
my earwax buildup does not enjoy the sound of wearing IEMs for like 13 hours ahah
been thinking of getting customs for a while now but it just kinda sucks that you can't test them before they're built and non-returnable for obvious reasons
yeah probably not worth it unless you know you love the tuning already and then also get the custom fit in addition
problem is that the custom fit significantly changes tuning due to deeper insertion so you can't really compare to the universal version 💀
either way, back to picking keyboard parts

yeah i feel the channel got derailed a little
given that there exists an actual tech channel
though they also talk about keyboard modding there
:P
Should I put the Durock v3s in my Cf plate or just wait for the POM plate to arrive?
I decided to build a kb for my gf and found quite a budget friendly barebones-set at about 50-60€ for a 75% ISO+ANSI layout without ugly displaced arrow keys :D https://en.sharkoon.com/product/39210
fr ?
oh
dayum wtf
buy a 30€ mic
nah only $20 but it's the thought
room treatment
?
oh
i just wanna future proof it lol
and get a good mic from the get go
Ive been using it
ath2020 is good ?
The Fifne mic is good
As well
It depends on your needs
Do you want a dynamic mic or a
Carbidoid
you probably dont need a "good" mic
Theyre 2 different things
how long
i plan to stream
and make videos
been saving for years
cardoid but what he means is condenser
cardoid is a pickup pattern, dynamic and condenser are the two main types of sound pickup tech
If his streaming he can run a Dynamic mic
The carbidoid ones are good espcially without any background noise and etc
yeah id go for a dynamic as well in any gaming/talking scenario that isnt in a dedicated studio
start doing it before you buy a 500€ mic
ye
the mic isnt whats gonna make or break your stream unless you use a fan as a mic
@neon tigerhttps://www.mi.edu/in-the-know/how-to-choose-your-first-microphone-dynamic-condenser-usb/
Follow this and you'll be good to go
It depends espcially with the config
If his planning to run XLR mics then its pretty good but if its like normal USB stuff he might not need a software
And its easier to use but it depends in the end
Thats majority of the time you see streamers run dynamic mic compared to carbidoid unless its some sort of podcast
Shure is where it’s at! 👍
Nice! Are they in yet?
na it was from a
literally
Nice!
it honestly doesnt matter that much, get any mic that isnt a headset mic and you'll be good for most things, if you ever have so many viewers that you wanna invest 500 bucks for something most people will not even hear the difference in go for it
Authorized
3rd party
Seller
@untold wigeonOrig i had to pay 50 SGD
which was like what 60 USD? or lower
That’s not terrible
I am not sure of the conversion
what if i have no mic at all LOL
thats why i wanna buy a good one right off the bat
It is LOL if you had to pay for shipping
whats the point of buying a bootleg one
a good one is 30€
I got mine for dirt cheap cuz i was there to collect it
28 usd is great, almost korean level price
you gotta realise that most people will listen on gaming headsets or on their phone with a frequency response and distortion on their end that doesnt even allow for them to hear any differences
Thats cuz i got it off of a discount and i didnt need to pay for shipping
dayum thank u brotha
oh ok
the shure mv7 good ?
if i typed it correctly
theyre all decent mics, podcastage on youtube makes very good reviews for your usecase
should check them out
will also give you more info on the terms and differences
Yes
damn ur going all out on your setup
But I would say you need a MINIMUM of an SM7B
Absolutely nothing else cuts it
NO other mic will sound as good as that
all jokes bro, it all depends on how well you can block out noise
MV7 is excellent since it's dynamic
That’s what I have. It’s great
Rode Podmic too
BUT
DONT GET THE XLR one
Unless youre fully into the streaming side and the Deck side
I literally only got the SM7B because I got it for cheap, $210
That’s what’s great about the Mv7. Has both.
Xlr and usb
yes my friend hahaa
wait so
USB so good
XLR and needing an interface is so lame lol
does the mv7 need a xlr
oh ok
pretty good choice, especially if you just need a mic now, and then want to upgrade to an XLR later
though what if he wants to do asmr streams? :D ye then the sm7b is the wrong mic, too, absolutely correct .. needs a big diaphragm condenser
meanwhile I'm using this for many many years already, and no that connector is no xlr :p though for me it was re-soldered to 3.5mm
can't really recommend it, though, the self-noise is just too much
yo i have sw2 lekker 60 switches, i started lubing, when i realized these lubed already lol
Yeah what type of streaming does he want to do and what's the budget? I currently own 4 mics and have access to about 400 mics and it varies quite a bit
o_o what do you do?
I have a cool dynamic mic from the 1970s but no gear to run it with, would be funny to use it as my voip mic
probably also requires re-soldering of the connector to get this running
oh my u using it ?
okay i might get that
it's just XLR, I tried it once by borrowing an interface from someone and it works just fine
oooh
I just don't have XLR gear nor do I want any ugly interfaces on my desk taking space
but it's an additional wallplug as well.... just clutter and ugly all around
one that's just usb powered :D
an interface can also really improve your listening enjoyment imo
Today I review the USB Version of the SM7b, kind of…the MV7. This is a USB microphone which also has an XLR output which can be run simultaneously. It has basic DSP processing as well. If you’re looking for a USB Dynamic mic and $250 is your budget, I think it can sound great, and has some backup functionality via the XLR output if you run it to...
I already have gear for my headphones
I don't want a third box on my desk just for a microphone D:
what do you have for your headphones? o_o
probably a dac and an amp
a schiit dac and amp
i have a d90 and a thx 789 + and audient id24 on my desk
it doesnt if the dac and amp are good
yeah but then what I do with my dac and amp
there is audible noise when using the hp out of my audient interface compared to my proper setup
yeah, but i mean if he also needs more desk space
sell? :o
net loss
fair
hm i got this issue even when i decouple my power and use a separate power supply ...only when my gpu is firing though..
what kinda noise issues are you getting
I can try to record it later maybe
sure, maybe we can figure out your issue
so at first when i load up the game you hear the coil whine .. i can hear this without my audio setup though xD ... after the coil whine has passed, the gpu static noise kicks in ... and after that i exit the game again and the noise level goes back to the regular intrinsic mic noise (which is not good either, but that's another thing :P)
also in case anyone is asking: factory lubed jades in tofu60 with the tofu-included foam :P
dayum
Only in usb mode
what do the magnetic jades sound like im curious
oh wait someone already threw a sound file just a while ago
lmao
Dashs same thing
take special attention to the treated vs untreated room thing because that will be the case with every mic and your room probably counts as untreated (can be better than untreated if its also your bedroom)
which interface are you using
Hmmmmmmmm…..
will it be seen in a built keyboard though 😄
No but I’ll know it’s there and it’ll be sweeeeeeet. lol. 😝
valid😎
the wooting pc plates do have wooting logo engravings
or etchings I guess
black alu plate from kbdfans arrived, but too lazy to get it from the parcel terminal rn
lol.
I can’t throw shade. My Durock stabs are here and I’m just waiting until I get the POM plate to do anything with them. lol
Does anyone sell just the silicone for in between the pcb and plate?
Oof you don't have it?
No. I have the og v1
Oh so I suppose you didn't buy the pc kit
the wooting plate would've had the silicon pad 😦
Nope
(▀̿Ĺ̯▀̿ ̿)ᴵ ˢᵉᵉ
Yeah but I don’t want that one. Just the silicone
What is that pad called anyway?
just silicone pad? its not sold separately
what kind of build you're going for? I think deeper or "creamier" build would benefit from the poron pad anyways
I probably wouldn’t keep it I just wanted to try it
as in like wall paddings ?
oh ok
I really need to get an ANSI board. 59$ for NORDE is diabolical
Yea or nay
I'm prob gonna get the base kit, the 60s kit and the novelties
60s for my wooting and base kit for future proofing
With everything I need/want to get it's gonna cost me 160
before tax and shipping
60%, 61 keys: $39.00
UK ISO, 8 keys: $14.00
NORDE Kit, 45 keys: $59.00
Novelties, 8 keys: $12.00 (maybe)
Economy of scale
oh and
Artisan (Aiglatson): $40.00
Simply put... Europeans aren't that plentiful
Simply put - switch to ANSI
Always
Long left shift is appealing ngl
Guys I dropped back down to 70G force this is the real sweet spot 🍬
I'm currently at 53ish grams
63 used to be the spot for me
Started my journey at 68g tactiles
When does the GB start?
