the bounciness depends on the softness of the oring, tbh mine isnt really that soft, but it still made the typing feel and sound a bit softer, especifally on the mods

if you live in US its easy to order fancy orings that are bouncier

basically there are oring mounted cases, made specifically for this stuff, but they require a specific pcb so that they function almost like gasket mounts

in case of wooting its more of a hanging in the case while being held by the oring that is pushed against the case walls

@spice plover if you're still having issues with the tofu/oring mount, I find it fits a lot better without any plate foam. I have a small thin switch pad between my PCB and plate but no plate foam, so the oring can kinda fit in better. With plate foam it's really tight and doesn't flex much, with silicone it doesn't fit at all for me.

yes definitely. I think this is the "softest" case for the wooting that I know of, def takes some tinkering to get the sound just right but either way the typing is super nice and has a nice soft bottom out.

anodizing is a different process. Usually you either anodize or cerakote as the two popular aftermarket coloring options

(although 80he you can't really anodize since it's a different material and the anodizers won't be setup to anodize zinc alloy)

Nah, that’s what calibration is for. Calibration occurs during start up, when all switches are supposed to be at their resting positions so the tolerance differences don’t matter much if at all.

This is the case for Woot’s boards of course. The SU75 will have manual calibration so it’s slightly different.

If anything when I had 45 and 60g springs I was accidentally actuating keys more. The 100g springs solved that for me.
