I'am used to gmk
I like gmk but I hate the shine
And can't afford to swap all the time
Font is not sharp enough
PBTfans pretty notorious for bad legends, most people recommend using icon mods for the keycap sets
Black PC plate when? :D
embrace the shine!!!!!
@echo thistle so look. Like i said look trough entire alexotos list propably you will find set with profile colour and layout u want.
You have sets from 30⬠up to 200ā¬+
damn the cool set I found costs 100 bucks
Which one
resonance R2
Gmk?
pbtfans
I'm trying to just find keycaps that would kinda fit my current setup and then later on decide which one I wanna get
I put it in but haven't taken another picture yet
anyone know where i can get artisans and GMK keycaps in canada for cheaper?
oo
Cheap and GMK bit of an oxymoron
Sometimes sales on omnitype but depending on shipping might end up more expensive š
yeah thats what i was trying to get at, the keycaps aren't cheap themselves but some vendors have insane shipping costs to canada
but that list is great
I try to get as much of my stuff off ashkeebs and deskhero etc as a Canadian, they have most things just have to wait longer for sales etc or to get stuff that is brand new
but they do a great job I think
Omg this is so beautiful but it's sold out T_T
I ordered this a few days ago
the iso enter just makes it so much better
I saw that set the other day it's kinda dope lol
what is that product tho
milk?
I would like a link to it
I can't seem to find them again
TUTKEYS Yakeylt is a beautiful new pink and red set designed by SoSoSoya inspired by Yakeylt, the popular Japanese milk. The classic color scheme and packaging that have remained unchanged for decades make people recognize it right away.Specifications:Ā Material:Ā PBT Profile:Ā Cherry Production Method:Ā Dye-sublimation M
Thank you
Such a interesting design for dye sub
Hey guys, sorry for asking a question here but I am going to be ordering a Wooting relatively soon and I'm trying to figure out the best option. I am debating buying the full board and just swapping the switches/case, but I could also just order the module. Any suggestions on the route I should take?
If youāre going to change everything anyway there is no point in getting the full keyboard.
That's what I was thinking, tbh. I just have never actually built a board and have only done slight modding so I'm intimidated lol.
In reality itās only a few screws. Switches get clipped in. Itās really easy
plus the module comes with pre-installed screw-ins stabs which are considered better than plate mounts (which are on pre-built keeb)
and also you get PC plate which sounds generally better than steel
Do you know if the module comes with foam?
two types of it
Foam and silicone
Okay, I'm currently using a Womier SK65 and I love the sound so I'm kinda wanting it to be more thocky than clicky so I had no idea lmao
Bro it seems intimidating as first but everything is actually pretty easy if you follow youtube video guides and wooting posts most of the guides youll need to do everything so get the module and have fun with it
@calm pulsar or is silicone just with the pc plate
Yeah, I am telling myself if I am able to build my pc over and over again without any errors I can handle a keyboard lmao
it comes with both, but the silicone is preinstalled
Would it be recommended to tape mod the module for a deeper sound?
Tape mod will reflect sound and make it louder
Oh, I had no idea lmao
yeah I didnt really like tape mod on my wooting
You learn these things along the way
I have my eye on the tofu redux case, so I'm just wanting to avoid pingy sounds.
Same I removed mine
Me neither
when it comes to magnetic switches, would the jades be solid?
Haven't tried it with my dashes though
I have heard dashes are amazing also
Yes, although requires quite a bit to make thocky
the jades are really good i have the ws dashes
really
good
dashes are jades, the same switch
Metal will always have an element of pingyness
Same thing as jades recolored
^^
tape mod has always felt a bit weird to me, just don't love the idea of sticking something to the back of my pcb
that I might have/want to remove
Same, I always worry about heat distribution but I know that probably isn't an issue lol.
Put my dashes in yesterday, also got another heirloom on apex right before that.
Yesterday was a W
i didnt like it initially either but the painters tape i got is super weak
true I wonder how much it changes tho
BRO how good do they sound
Oh these are sick
Amazing
fair, I think the precut sheets are also probably safe
Yeah I am super curious because I may go that route
Ws dashes in a tofu redux, with black PC plate
Stock wooting stabs
if you're getting dashes, it makes even more sense to go for the module, so that you don't overpay for lekkers you're not going to use
^^^ exactly what i have but unfortunately i didnt realise they had black pc palte so went with white
Can you send a link for the dashes?
Would love something like swagkeys nights to be available as plate mount
#Carbon Fiber plate gang.
This is mine with an fr4 plate and jades same switch
I really like fr4 for the wooting
I got mine of mech.land because I'm Canadian
i got mine off milktooth
ohhh damn my fr4 plate arrives in a couple of days, liking the sound signature
im from australia
deskhero has the jades if you're in Canada @left knot
Same.
Mech.land has cheaper but better shipping in my experience
it's great man, I used the thin switch pad it comes with under the switches then the poron foam from the wooting, then the fr4 plate
interesting
Desk hero used a really shitty courier
apparently the sticky rice switches are thokier if you want deep you might wanna look into them
I was looking at this site, but I dunno what the ANSI plates mean LMAO
i just prefer how the dashes sound
you could get a plate from AE as an alternative
I got me a black POM plate which is a soft plastic like PC, so it is similar
I always get stuck with ics from deskhero in BC
the magnets aren't recommended rn I think
And it always takes weeks longer than it says
Not compatible
Mech.land is cheaper and faster for me
I had them once but they were actually the fastest I've had yet LMAO
they got me my shit from winnipeg to edmonton overnight
oh thanks for telling me this because i didnt know this one š
Dawg they had my mouse in Richmond for 5 weeks, I was only 3h away
No problem
LOL I hate that
They said it would deliver in 1 week, shit sat in a warehouse in Richmond for 5 weeks
I paid canada post for xpress post not express or w/e for a shipment from ashkeebs recently and it look longer
canada post kinda struggling rn
yeah I will be trying CF and FR4, but FR4 I got from "keyboard fun store" and not from kbdfans lol, cause they had a full black one
Very hit or miss
Had them for my dashes, and they actually moved the package over the weekend
Which shocked me
oh okay, probably similar enough end of the day
@left knot if youāre in US Milktooth ships from Cali.
You're a legend, thank you.
I have NEVER seen Canada post move a package over the weekend
yeah they've delivered to me on a sunday a few times in busy seasons lol so I respect that
Especially for 7$ shipping
btw, that is tray mounted right?
Canada post came to my door on a sunday at christmas a few years back
I was like WHAT
Any idea if I can get the Tofu Redux from another vendor besides KBDfans?
Okay that's actually a W
this is oring friction mounted, 70A
No problem
yeah I was shocked
You know who has been the absolute best for shipping for me
Intelcom
Those guys are goats
yeah they're great
ive never had delivery on a weekend in australia
Delivery on weekend, always fast asf, never damaged packages
my DHL deliveries here always come super late in the day and it drives me nuts
otherwise solid
and I played baseball with my UPS driver so I usually get stuff early in the day from them
which is nice
Where Iive now only has 1 mail truck a day and it's later in the afternoon
fair
Like 3-4pm
did you put anything on the case standoffs? I'm just wondering if it pushes all the way to the bottom or just hands mid-air to avoid contact with the metal of the standoffs
Small town things
I get Canada post at like noon, fedex usually comes at like 9AM, UPS will come first thing too, but DHL always shows up at like 8:40PM
LMAO
@quiet bay you around?
I have a thin piece of case foam from stupid fish, it does have cutouts for the standoffs tho so I covered them in medical tape
just a thin piece of tape to stop contact metal to metal
gotcha gotcha, excited to oring mount mine, never tried it
yeah it's great, can be a bit tough to get out so be warry of how hard you press it down in lol
I've noticed it works better with no plate foam but it doesn't sound the best that way with HE switches
I need to buy some o rings. I love the sound Pochizo gets
are you in Canada?
With the Cerakeys
hmm I wonder if I can cut the plate foam to allow better tolerance with the oring, I have a bunch of different plate foams so might try this
trim it off at the edges
https://rndkbd.com/collections/accessories/products/60-o-ring-gasket-cord if anyone in Canada needs an oring for friction mount this is probably the best option, I didn't get this one but I wish I did lol
here
it's not really the plate, it's more the location of the standoffs for the wooting pcb
If I purchase dashes, do I need to look for a certain key cap type or are PBT compatible?
it presses the oring out a bit near the backspace and the spacebar, if you have no foam it just kinda compresses easier
Get those springs yet?
all the same
Awesome, thank y'all for the advice and help š
I dont think I have
@cold bloom thatās for gasket mounting right?
Bummer. Hopefully tomorrow
yee I wanna see how snappy they are
so the plate standoffs push it out? or maybe the backspace stabs do?
you generally don't have to worry about keycaps fitting unless you go way out of the way for some kinda retro switch or something @left knot like Topre switches or something, which aren't common
Break your finger off snappy. lol.
mostly the standoffs
with plate mount the stabs are mostly out of the way
it can just be a bit tight in the original tofu I have anyway with plate foam/standoffs
I see, I have a fb60 so i'll see whether its very tight or not, but I feel like it is tighter in this smaller case
Oh mama. Expensive but gorgeous.
https://mekanisk.com/products/fjell-keyboard-case-only?variant=43780381376686
Fjell is our acclaimedĀ heavyweight 60% mechanical keyboard design, introduced in 2017. With a distinct design language and exceptional sound properties, Fjell is one of our most popular designs. Made from a combination of aircraft-grade aluminium and brass, this keyboard has a weight of 2kg, providing a solid and stabl
The unfinished one in particular
Front lip too big for me
Pretty much
there's a build video on the page, and the gmk set in it is so good
I still want to build in a holy60 but encase it in lexan and see if I can make it sound respectable while looking cool.
@tawdry tree so uhhh, im retesting the Kailh Mistrals, remember we said they didnāt work? Do you remember what firmware you were using when testing?
When did Cam get Mod status?
yo Cam is a mod now
Few hours ago
Thank you
Trying to get use to big bro with the green tag AND the name change
Just embracing the Rappy snappy
Green best color
how df!!
good shit Cam
But uh Iām retesting the Kailh Mistral (Fully POM switch) and uh they work now?
They didnāt work before
Oh my godā¦. Itsā¦.. its beautifulā¦.
And now Iām thinking itās a firmware thing
That font is so good
yeah, not my build, but gmk taiga is awesome
I actually found a seller for gmk taiga locally, but I'm kinda doubting cyrillic alphas
what are those?
Some switches I tested about a month ago and said they didnāt work but now they do
Interesting
And Iām thinking it had to do with the firmware I was using
Cause that just doesnāt make sense
Those the Kailhs?
yeah probably similar
these stems look tight
how do these sound?
Also grats Mr moderator
Ty
Omg someone just listed them!
WHY DONT I HAVE MONEY!!!!
those looks nice lowkey
let's hope they stay there for some time š
Yeah Iām gonna have to retest these
More coffee keycaps make the world to round
Testing currently
Gz on the mod upgrade
Tyty
I know itās not for everyone but I love them.
Idk how to describe it, itās like soft clacky lekkers ?? Ima need to fill the whole board to see
Fr
i need some helpā¦
With?
ohh I forgot they are open bottom
Yeah they are
while trying to do the tap mod on my 60he+ and one screw wont come out
all the other ones came out perfectly fine
this one just isnt turning man
im a closed bottom andy so... I assume no existing closed bottoms work with these? since they are from a whole different manufacturer
Pull up on the plate while unscrewing
alr
Hmm, have you remove this screw before?
You can try the rubber band method and sort of place part of the rubber band over the screw head and then jam a screwdriver into the rubber band/screw head and see if it loosens
Likely hard to Frankenswitch but Iāll see what I can do
first time disassembling the keyboard
Gotcha
ill try that tho
Yeah keep us posted
Try to avoid stripping the screw
Otherwise gonna have a whole nother problem
Sounds like itās already stripped
i started panicking when that happenedā¦
Yeah it still looks okay, try using a bigger Philips head
Found these on AliExpress, thoughts?
Latest firmware at that time so I think the version before the current beta. Iāll recheck them in a bit.
Okay, so apparently they work fine on 2.7.2
I believe I was using 2.8.0 when I tested them
And claimed they didnāt work
Awesomeee, happy to assist
Yeah impossible to Frankenstein these
Everything on these is completely different
Even the springs size
Theyāre skinnier like an Mx almost
Thatād be extremely odd, so they work on an older version but compatibility is reduced on a newer version? š„“
good to know, thanks!
Yeah Iām gonna have to test to confirm
They very similar to MX
Yeah
stem fits through most mx top housings
just bottom housing not rly compatible with mx
Candy switches
Damn u got mod
1st is on 2.7.2 (pre reverse polarity support), second on 2.9.0-beta-.0.
They are the same, they do not have the magnetic strength needed to reach 4.0mm. The rectangular blocks you see in 2.7.2 is not overloading, itās compensation.
@harsh dove
So you could say they are more supported on 2.7.2 but thatās not really the case.
This is on 2.9.0-beta.0 too when pressing quite hard.
@fluid ravine after some tweaking pretty happy with this rn
Frog mini finally arrived š
I learned to play valorant on a steelseries apex mini before I got my wooting, I just played in the range with my mx build after a long time using RT
it's crazy how used to it I got lol
I am practicing my counter strafing a lot more recently but damn RT can save ur ass in that game I find
On 2.7.2, the ācompensation stageā is reached earlier. I presume it was noticed that Jades actually reach further than that so the ācompensation stageā was lowered. Not a fantastic explanation but I hope you get the point.
Loving the wooting so far already beat my typing best wpm.
Gaming is a bit tough.. I rest on the keys a bit. Gotta get used to not having tactile switches. Night and day difference when it comes to that
Youāll get used to it for sure
I was having some weird issues with the new firmware I was telling cam
my switches all actuate differently on the new firmware and if I set them to 4.0 with jades they don't work
Jades are 3.5 max no?
yeah it was stuttering random keys
and not actuating the rest all the same
and it completely dissapeared when I reverted the firmware
Itās quite funny, the ācompensation stageā I said thatās supposed to be reached by Jades isnāt reached here. This should def be a bug report to Syte if you havenāt already. The purple is the exact behavior Sticky Rices showed, I presumed that that was firmware because the magnet itself doesnāt fluctuate like that, looks like I was right.
Thanks for sharing by the way, quite useful info.
I shared this with someone in a support thread who said they'd pass it along
it was acting really weird and I thought it was the case or the switch pad etc but when I took the switch pad out it was there just less noticeable
and when I revert the firmware any key would work to 4.0, nothing spamming unintentionally and everything worked fine
When was this?
which is weird cause I thought if it wasn't screwed in on one side or the switch pad was compressed weird it wouldn't be completely normal on the old firmware
just the last few days
Wait a minute
I was playing valorant after updating from 2.7.2 and I all of a sudden couldn't walk right properly I kept stopping
so I tested it out further

#1262764867098771527 message sort of connecting dots here but it doesnāt seem to be exactly the same. I did ask a couple times if she could test with Analog Monitor but no success.
Very odd things going on with firmware though, thatās for sure.
I don't get it
2.7.2
You need to press slowly, to properly view the entire range.
Is this something I need to worry about? I only updated it
Didnāt do the beta thing, not that I know of
No need to worry.
Ok thank goodness
Anyone here know if there are any case mods like this one for the Deathadder v3 Pro?
Hope mouse stuff is ok here too
Im jk
šš
this channel is whatever modding at this point
Yeah I get this compensation towards the end of the press
Ok
Right around 2.8-9mm
Thatās how you view what is switch and what is compensation
You want to mod bc of the look or the weight?
Yeah, thatās where the compensation starts
a bit further on 2.9.0
Bit of both but more because of the look
a bit deeper* rather.
Ah I was gonna say if it was for weight, go finalmouse. Even though I think those look cool as well
I honestly dont wanna spend another like 200⬠on a mouse since i have one that works completely fine and just spend like 400⬠on a keyboard already
But man this one is so nice
Theyāre great switches, tolerances are fantastic and sound isnāt rattly and theyāre unlubed.
Deathadder v3 pro not really a modded platform, people usually use the internals of a v2 pro or g305
It's a shame they're not optimal
Yeah ik found a shit ton for them maybe i actually have a decent reason to buy a 3d printer
Hopefully soon they will be, when firmware catches up.
Thanks but was more looking for something that looks like the one i showed as i donāt really mind a bit more weight
Yeah thats my current mouse dont wanna buy a new one
What you shared is a RVMSE clone using VGN F1 Pro internals
Yeah ik
So yeah basically this then
Guess we buying a 3d printer than
Totally makes sense, Iāve bought many FM mice so I totally get it
Gonna be a lot of work to 3d print a custom shell, unless you can find someone who's done all the hard work of designing the 3d model for the shell you want
what is compensation in this sense
like what is happening with the switch/magnet
Thats fine i have a shit ton if free time and nothing to do usually so atleast im not completely wasting my time than
And wanted one anyways
If you slowly press the switch to full actuation, at around 2.9mm it snaps to 4.0mm (Kailh Mistrals)
Yeah would be a cool project, let me know how it goes if you go for it
oh wow
interesting
Iām sure you could buy an stl file of two different mods and probably piece something together
Would be cool to learn 3d printing/designing for sure
Just need like the base that would attach to a dav3 pro PCB and then the shell that looked like the RVMSE
Or design it from scratch
yeah have been thinking about it for a while but didnt want to buy one to just print useless trash now i actually have a reason
Thatās whatās up
that's dope
Yo v2 knight stabs dropping at some point soon by the way
I'd love to learn how to print even some hangers for a peg board or some small things
Iāll cop them then
Yeah it would come in handy for sure. My wife would probably like it if I could craft up some handy stuff for around the house lol
i can print stuff for my sim rig than too never even thought about that lol
wanted to spend like 50 on a case mod and now im buying a 3d printer
not myself but I really want to
Yh have a reverb g2
What if i just-
heh
thackson bro did you see my finalized build
which one?
I didn't video it but I recorded it
Thackson, bro, did you finalize your build?
IM WORKING ON IT

thackson is always tweaking like I am
Nice bro
never stops
I can finally retire the zip tied selfie stick than lol
oh my days gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
KEKW
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
yeah I like it a lot @fluid ravine
Yeah I canāt wait for two stage springs and black knights to show up bro
Chat im going wild
Should be fun to experiment

I sent you my tofu with the fr4 plate too thackson a while back
I think chat was movin tho
with the wooting
it's got a 70A oring currently
ah i see
lmfao
omg no wonder it sounds so good
lol jk
LMAO
I was building it all day so I thought Thackson knew
it doesn't work for you bigsly?
I thought I fixed it
Its good i heard it
Black screen no volume
yeah it is a blackscreen lol
hmm let me check
Oh nvm
But it sounds like a ticking switch
yeah there's no video
Yeah I get volume
ok
Just was low
the first one had video but that one I didn't wanna set it up
yeah I like it
Soujds like flipping a light switch
nice clackkk
nah fr tho
o damn getting another salvation??
maybe eventually lol I just bought a bauer lite and more hmx switches
the bauer lite is such a good deal
I like the salvation because of the bezels
So works well for that
Yeah itās a good looking case too
everytime I make a change to it I'm like oh wow
But yeah it sounds good
I just wanted to try this for so long
they have a 65% where the springs screw into the weight not the case
so I think that sounds even better
one thing I miss on an mx 60% is mod tap tho lmao
I have layers setup that work well but it's not the same
very consistent across the board tho
Yeah
the raptors sound really good I just find you can faintly still tell they're open bottom
otherwise they're really good
to me
Right yeah might be a nice balance
agreed
I think it's cool to see more HE switches too
I figured once we saw raptor HE's we wouldn't see more geons for a while
Iām excited for the 35g two stage spring too
I have black jades that are almost here
excited to try those
I'll probably try some kinda jade/black jade/raw HE frankenswitch sometime just to see
if they fit it might slap
I might also try jade bottom raw HE spring/top
are you going to soak yours in rust remover and polish it with scotch-brite and WD40, then celebrate by doing the haka because you're a mad lad?
man i hate waiting for stuff to ship
Is that what you did?
ha! not my board but I'm kinda tempted to try it, the anno on mine is rat shit
Am I blind where were the lekker 1.5 switches announced in the discord
How/when can I order them
nah, straight to the V2's, probably not long after the 80HE release
Ty :)
this looks dope
how's the stock lube from first impressions
same lol
Can you also check the analog on it @glacial wind
Lube seems fine. Iām still going to bag lube the spring though
fair, I might do the same
don't talk dirty to me bigsly
lol
Theyāre always cooking up something lol
real
i respect that geon is always cooking up new things
he actually went from making raptors to raw he so fast
Yeah instead of just a massive hole lol
agreed I was shocked
Course its sold out
does the original wooting plate foam work?
like not the module silicone so bigsly might not have it
but maybe for Cams frog
Yeah I have both
Silicone pad and Wooting foam
Using foam rn
Iāve had a reg 60He and a module
oh okay the poron foam that came with the original 60HE non module had spacebar coverage
the one that came with my pc plate doesn't
ohhhh ok
Oh really. Fk maybe I sold that with my 60HE in a redux then
Thatās a RIP
NEVER KNEW

yeah I think I have it in my tofu/wooting rn or I'd show you
fair lol
But good to know
yeah it's a bit diff than the module/pc plate one
it covers the right mods a bit more too
I donāt think I ever took my steel plate off my 60HE
LOL
I just got the module
yeah it was under there
Yeah dang lol
Fk
it's just a thin connection along the front of the spacebar
for sure
I just find it doesn't change the spacebar a ton
the right side mods a bit more
wth heck I dont even remember having it
maybe it's because I probably replaced it with switch pads a long time ago
Yo Poch you think this switch film would work?
SpecificationsPCB - Switch FilmMaterial: Poron XRD, Slow ReboundThickness: 0.3mm PCB -Ā CaseĀ Foam for Solderable & HotswappableMaterial: PoronĀ LE-20, SoftThickness: 2.0mm PCB - Plate FoamMaterial: PoronĀ LE-20, SoftThickness: 3,5mmā» If there is any interference, such as the Layout,Ā PCBĀ type, or kind of reset switch t
good question lmao
i got a tofu60 case, lubed and filmed jade switches, new keycaps, and coiled cable. What else could i add to it, if theres any?
I have a similar one in my wooting rn from kbdfans that came with the fr4 plate
it works fine for me, but I was having some issues on the new firmware
idk what was causing that but it seems some others were too without it
whatās this
when I left the switchpad in like that bigsly and reverted the firmware it worked fine so idk
I think it would work, if it's blocking a screw hole you can always just cut it anyway
oh wait you're talking about this foam right
Material:Ā EVAFunction:Ā Used to buffer the force between switches and PCB, and theĀ typing sound would be modified Both 3pins and 5pins switches can be used, RGB LED also has a hole, which would not affect the light Versions:Ā Ā 1. DZ60-ANSIĀ version for DZ60RGB-ANSI PCBĀ Ā 2. DZ60-WKLĀ version forĀ DZ60-WKL PCB Thickness:
Not plate foam
there's also this
yeah earlier I was
ooo I do have it
Material:Ā EVAFunction:Ā Used to buffer the force between switches and PCB, and theĀ typing sound would be modified Both 3pins and 5pins switches can be used, RGB LED also has a hole, which would not affect the light Versions:Ā Ā 1. this is what I'm using rn in my wooting
yeah it should work
Oh cool
shouldnt really mess with the switches that much
Nice might try it
And you also have plate foam on top?
Nice
just one thing
the light might be blocked
just make sure it's screwed in well if you use the standoffs
Ok sounds like a worthy experiment
my LEDs work fine
Yeah it would be
but idk about the geon one
Mines Off
yeah
So idc tho
fair
if you use the 2.8 or whatever firmware it is that just came out
test your wooting in the module with the switch pad for me
Which stabs you have? @cold bloom
Gotcha
Just curious about the cutouts for those switch film pads and stab compatibility
oh fair I'm not sure tbh
now that I think about it I really haven't seen the face of my pcb in a long time
oh wait so rgb will work?
Itās pretty
mainly cause the individual switch pads are stuck onto each key lol
one sec let me check
If yours works the geon would should work
Both south facing led slots
Looks like
ah shit nvm
the one that came with mine is this
I can't find the same one for sale alone on kbdfans
sup what yall talking abt
How did you get that
switch pads
what is this snap thing that's going on rn š
I found this
SpecificationsPCB - Switch FilmMaterial: Poron XRD, Slow ReboundThickness: 0.3mm PCB -Ā CaseĀ Foam for Solderable & HotswappableMaterial: PoronĀ LE-20, SoftThickness: 2.0mm PCB - Plate FoamMaterial: PoronĀ LE-20, SoftThickness: 3,5mmā» If there is any interference, such as the Layout,Ā PCBĀ type, or kind of reset switch t
And it generated conversation lol
I've seen alot of snaps in people's names today...
The plate foam different design and the switch film
Rappy Snappy
Trendy name change
makes sense
now I need to figure out a name that involves rappy snappy š
hehe
these are almost as cheap @polar girder
lmao
you could get a plate that you don't need
Oh when you bought the fr4 plate?
I mean I donāt really care about RGB. Mines off. But the different designs are interesting
Lolz

Iāll probably just buy Geonās when the plate foam comes back in stock
could be worse
I find living in Canada lately shipping is kinda the same from everywhere
not the best not the worst
that's why š
they probably have a flat rate up until a pretty decent weight
so all that small stuff gets slammed with shipping charges
lol maybe Iāll wait if they come out with another switch
raw he getting ready to ship
oo you gotta post a pic when it arrives
ofc
Gotta send the set to cam first lol
first priority
oh yeah you gotta ship it to cam?
Oh snap you have Rawās coming?
after you receive it
Yeah i will
Ill pay for the shipping as an appreciation
yeah CAM paid, my shipping was cheaper than his so i did him a favor
Negotiation was.. hard
(with my dad)
Sounds like that worked out
lol
I could imagine being suspicious lol
All i could do was just spam please in my head while talking to him
"free" is all you need to know
my english just dipped
LMAO

bargain
Pops or CAM got that
Yeah thatāll be a good one
Raw for me would be better than raptor aesthetic
šÆ

@glacial wind how long did it take for you to get them?
holeh
was it that long?
damn
The Wooting 35g arrive on Monday but Iām more excited for the two-stage spring I think
two-stage spring = snappier feeling?
More consistent I think
It would be so nice to have nyumi's emojis rn
bro has all the nitro emoji expressions fk
Like an even throughout push
ooh
The design of the two-stage spring makes it longer than a normal āone-stageā spring. This means that the spring is compressed more than a one-stage spring during the unactivated state, and it reaches its bottom out weight more quickly. This makes the downpress feel more firm and consistent, as there is a smaller range of forces between the beginning of the keypress until bottom out or even actuation. In addition, the upstroke after lifting your finger is noticeably faster, meaning that there is the ability to rapidly repeat keystrokes in a shorter amount of time. Two-stage springs are also less likely to have spring ping because being more compressed even in the unactivated state means that there is less room for the spring to move/rotate around.
you shall read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what in the paragraph
Rather than a bit more of a threshold at the top
I ordered mine off AE
what if I had 100g two stage springs....

gnn
I need to fix my sleep schedule
before school starts šØ
Well at least we dont use "Good sleep"
true
one thing I notice that's diff about my mx switches compared to the lekkers/HE switches is the springs seem to be much longer in mx switches
they're also a bit more narrow cause there's no magnet in the stem but I wonder how that would work in an HE switch with a longer spring
Fwog šø
Spill protein shake on it
everytime I see a frog I want one so bad
the side profile is so clean @uneven cradle
Are you building it now or are you waiting on parts?
well you see i was building it before I realised I don't have the right hex bit to unscrew it
honestly I might grab one of the newer frog cases if I can friction mount the one that says it's tray mount
if I can mount it like the tofu it might still slap

you might be able to get it out carefully with a phillips or another bit like a robertson
don't force it tho
i don't think I have anything that even remotely fits, just gonna have to take a trip to bunnings tomorrow
i ain't got nothin at this place just my basic ifixit kit
yeah I guess just get a driver for it tomorrow
do you know what size you need?
I think the frog just has those 4 screws on the bottom
but idk
Need a Hex 2 and there's 6 screws
ty Cam
I'mn assuming you have the smaller iFixIt kit, cause mine has one
@uneven cradle
Mine doesn't come with any hex bits unfortunately
It's alright I'll pick up a set tomorrow there's actually a sale at a local tech store I'll just go grab it after work tomorrow
does one of the phillips not fit kinda?
or the pentalobe or something
just enough to get it out?
or the tripoint since hex is 6 sided
yeah good call
just wanted to see if you tried
def don't force anything with small screws lol
Yeah I've stripped enough screws in my life to know I definitely don't want to do it in this
LMAO
same
I stripped 1 screw in my salvation for the leaf springs
thankfully it's screwed in so tight it's not going anywhere lmao
if it comes loose over time I have another I'll replace it with
Opened up all the raw he switches. The outer stem lube is really good and consistent. No lube inside though so definitely bag lube on the springs is nice
Whatās wrong with your spacebar?
So close yet so far
just make sure you close the case properly
aka
lay it in like that
and then put the top on the board
What kind of plate are you using?
His running a modded plate for the frog mini
You are also going with standoff less build?
From the pic, heās not.
Its gasket mount
Just no foam or plate underneath it
Well yes. Iām using the frog mini as well. I meant what kind of material
Wth. What kind of plate did you get?
My lil šø
Shld b alu
Oh I see. Thank you
Clean
I hit the jackpot. Geon sent me 91 Raw HE switches instead of 90
time to buy a lottery ticket

maybe he respects my religious activities and this is my reward
i prefer the term spiritual pathfinders
Hypehyboards PP plate
Is it worth it lubing Gateron Magnetic Jades? Or should I keep 'em stock?
I purchased an aftermarket springs for it since I find the stock ones too light
If u feel like its too light change it out ig
up to you - depends how picky you are with lube spread. Like I just lubed my set of Raw HE switches very lightly to spread the lube more evenly than a machine can do, but realistically it's a very minor improvement over good machine lube
Any one know a good website for key caps for the wooting two HE? Like gradients or anime style keycaps. I live in the US but I'm okay with international shipping and etc.
If I order new lekkers are they the v1.5 or still v1?
What is your budget
Hey all. I want to gummy friction mount the 60HE in a Klippe case. Should I use the PC plate or the stock steel plate? Also would you recommend adding foam in the case or should I leave it empty?
Everything is prefrence
Any price under 150 for key caps. Not including shipping.
Iāll pay anything for shipping as long as itās worth the price
Plate is preference. Both work. Foam slightly affects fit but also mostly preference for sound
