Don't need very much kilmat, depends on the case and how much you want to fill out, some people just fill the space where the brass weights go, if you have a board that has one, but if you don't then you can just put a layer of it across the bottom of the case

Yeah they're loud, I like clack tho, but lubing the top housing does help, albeit some say it only helps for a bit then wears off after a few weeks and you maybe have to relube, I haven't typed on mine much since I hand lubed them so I can't comment but I believe it to be true tbh

@polar girder I think the biggest changes sound wise I've noticed for my wooting (besides which case you pick) has been the kbdfans fr4 plate and the switch pad it comes with. Just cleaned up the sound a lot and the fr4 plate I think is a really nice middle ground between the steel and pc plate

I named the top housings of Grain Gold’s switches so I can easily differentiate between them. V1 (Raptor’s) top housing doesn’t fit on KS-20 bottoms but V2 (Latenpow and after) do for example.

played a custom with some friends and I couldn't walk right contniously I kept stopping

it could've been cause of rapid trigger but I set it to .6 and higher mm and it was still happening

took the switch pad out and just used the silicone pad and it's fine now

honestly any of the switches pads should be fine, i just recommend that if you're gonna get 0.5mm thickness go for poron as it compresses easier

but if you want other types buy switch pads that are 0.25mm

and using the hall effect switches, the deeper the press the faster the cursor goes in that direction?
