I just thought of a mod idea for the gaterons and to those who want to uhh YKNOW muffle some of the noise from keyboard rattle for ur stabs

You can buy silicone standoffs from KBDfans and slap that shit in on your stab stem and then make sure its not fully covering it with a pair of tweezers

Then use your keycaps

to mount it

IT MIGHT increase in height and muffle a bit on the sounds ig but you can give it a try

its like friction mounting your keeb but with a keycap and stab instead but idk

I could be very wrong but I think some of what we’re seeing is companies just jumping on the hype , considering most of the HE boards are the same PCB besides Wootings basically lol, so I think it’s the same with switches, we’re not really seeing anything new yet, just companies jumping on the hype, making recolors and what not.

I think the more serious players probably have something in the works that will be more innovative or just better in general compared to what we’re seeing now.

Hey yall begginer here. Lubed the lekker based on the wooting lubing vid. And for some reason, the switch sound is too dampened to my liking when i tested it in the wooting kb with no mods. I think i overlubed but the typing feel is fine though. The switch doesnt feel mushy or anything. The typing feel is still normal. Just that the sound is too too dampened. Any idea which part of the switch(that ppl normally lube) that dampens the sound so that i can fix it?

scrap the switch pads. Grab an O-Ring to friction mount instead of burger and grab a tofu if you like the case.

Friction mount is with a big O-Ring around the “Module” that holds the “Module” in the case by friction rather than screws. Both at the same time would indeed not make sense.

Honestly I wouldn't go for lavenders the concept of HE is kinda new in the world of mechanical keyboards so its best to go with what's tried and tested like jades ks20u and raptors (although raptors can have problems with the magnet)
