Although all the current opposite polarity switches are either the same design or an inferior design so it doesn't really improve anything lol. Also, don't take that as meaning it will be guaranteed to work with every HE switch out there regardless of polarity, but it will provide a better chance to work.
Future proofing is never a bad thing.
Do you know where I can read more about that specifically? Searching shows more of the same.
can anyone tell me how to lube switches thatâs been factory lube already? cos the switches i got are the ws dash he switches but theyâre factory lubed already.
-can i just add krytox 205g0 ontop of the factory lubed?
Yes, You can just apply some 205g0 ontop of the factory lube.
Yes, I recently lubed 171 Jade Switches. Works fine
can anyone refernce me a good lube set like to put my swiches in while im lubing and i got the sey grom wooting is the lube good? and do i need any other things?? Thanks
I have one key producing double presses (not every time) when rapid trigger is set to default (0.4). When I set rapid trigger to something higher (e.g. 0.7) it does not happen.
Does anyone know if that is related to Jades? I have only seen this for one key though.

You guys might need to explain it to me like I'm a 5 year old but I kinda recently got interested in new switches and been looking at the new gateron ones, u think it's worth waiting for the new N versions over the normal jades, because I read above the E version wouldn't work with wooting?
I'm currently running the default lekker60 ones and starting my modding journey! ^^
Also what about the fox one? o.0
neither of them work with wooting. Wait for the wooting compatible version if you want to try the new jade v2
awesome thanks <3
Both are revered polarity switches. The âfoxâ switch has been tested and didnât work great. The KS-20Us work perfectly fine and are the supported version of the fox. If you want a closed bottom dual rail switch definitely wait for the N version as thatâll be made specifically for Wootâs boards.
I'm guessing the release of N versions is still unknown?
I donât think thereâs an official release date yet but I wouldnât expect a long wait.
Do we expect the dual rail ones to be "better" then the current Jades?
Thatâs the goal of dual rails, to reduce stem wobble even more. If this will be the case in practice, weâll have to wait and see.
Just noticed.
Itâs not the first time Gateronâs naming confuses Gateron themselves.
is there any quality dupe maybe on aliexpress of Glorious Black Ash keycaps cause i like those but donât want to spend too much
And the key caps arrived, i love the look
Fax
Yeah they should have just said for North facing LED and not North Pole faces LED. Back to English translation errors or engrish
guys , is there anyway to mod the 60he to support daughter board ?
Easily? Nope.
Could desolder the USB-C and hand wire with tiny wires but thatâs a pain and a half to do
not only that. Sure, the 60HE uses only USB 2 at the end and a USB-C on the other side, but controlling the daughter board and the main PCB over 1 cable? Have fun with this shit
i'm not saying it's impossible, but definitely a pain in the ass
actually interesting. There are 4 soldering points close to the Port labeled V, D+, D- and G
so in fact it is possible to solder a daughter board to it
kinda
it definitely requires a data relais tho
so short answer, not worth the trouble?
More so an extension, instead of a USB directly on the PCB, a cable with a female USBC on the end. Could work I think.
definitely should
Depends how much they want the USBC in a different position.
For most, definitely not worth the trouble
another interesting thing i found are the CN2 soldering points which are also connected to the USB-C Port
You can 100% use those solder points.
so soldering an UwU to it as a daughter board isn't off the table i guess
I hope the guy tries it. Would be cool to see
i dont think thatll work
youd mess up the usb data
you could only solder another usb port to it
USB C has 20 freaking pins, as if it doesn't have enough V and data pins
not how usb works
For the 60HE as @molten breach told me when I started a similar project a few weeks back (that's still a secret shh) "In that case only VCC, GND, D+ & D- should matter and would needed to be provided to a daughterboard. But on the daughterboard itself you need to take care of the CC-pins, otherwise a C to C cable would not work."
thats prob in relation to soldering on a usb-c connector daughterboard
Which I am
since the cc pins need a specific resistor to pull them down so the usb-c host knows to provide 5v 1a and basically fall into normal usb2 behaviour for the pins
i might have something for that particular problem, gimme a minute
Noxary X60 R a nice case?
nvm, that stupid C to C adapter is just a USB 2 extension
you can even track the traces and see it's just a USB 2 standard
the only way to get an uwu daughterboard to the 60he would be desoldering the usb-c port, soldering onto vcc, d+, d-, gnd and attaching a usb hub first
Never had that one but do have a Noxary T60 that I love.
well, VCC is the only issue then since D+, D- and G are easy to reach
basically you end up running 2 wires to the 60he after the mod just to have a 60he, powered hub and uwu in some custom case
Found a Black WKL for $400 but i think itâs just standard tray mount so might skip
what if i mod 1 more port to the 60HE instead? That way i can use anything as a daughter board

Really only interested in this tadpole or gasket mount I think
For ultimate quiet build
im not sure what you mean... thats already possible without modding it
I think he is saying he doesn't want to desolder the USB-C, which is fine if the case will support a PCB that still has it
You would need a case with a big ass back bezel. Maybe like a piggy60
in that case yes
uhhh big disclaimer
DO NOT BUY FROM MYKEYBOARD
they official filed bancrupcy 2 days ago
rip

would not have recommended you buy anything from them due to their obviously bad finances and inability to pay their bills but now they are officially dead dead
she, if you're talking about me, Sir
My apologies!
As already pointed out this is not how USB works. You can't just attach multiple devices to the same port without a hub in-between. While USB is a shared bus each device needs to get it's own connection for D+ & D-. Besides potential signaling issues it may works for the data transfer but there is also the detection of a USB device.
If a device is attached it either pulls up D+ (for Full-Speed) or D- (for Low-Speed). It's always either one of these two because Hi-Speed starts as Full-Speed. So if two devices would be connected you would get a collision because both would be initialized at the same time and so try to reply at the same time. The signaling would also likely messed up because two devices would pull-up different (then the host don't know what speed it should use) or the same signal line (likely disturbing the behavior of the signaling because it's harder to pull it down).
What work is if you add a switcher so only one device at the time is connected.

$69.99
cf
Is gmk that cheap???
Pbt is way more expensive
No, itâs on sale
Normally $110-150 for Base GMK Sets
And $35-55 for extras usually
The hell that much for a spacebar lol
It isn't even pbt
lol yeah GMK is known for high quality ABS
They have a new PBT line
Called MTNU
And tbh GMK Spacebars sound better than everything else
đ
anyone know a good spot to get a custom cable that im able to use for wooting60he
Off topic ik but this semester is officially over next year is last for my masters
Just use the wooting coiled cable
i wanted it mainly for aesthetics, does it affect performance?
if i get a good quality one.
Whatâs the budget?
Whatever you say Mr. 15
Yeah I was lying I'm actually just a 15 y/o in Kentucky or smth
Does anyone actually live in Kentucky I'm convinced it isn't a real place
Colonel sanders where u at
If you get a bad one it will definitely affect performance which is why I wouldn't recommend anything other than the wooting cable
Canât wait for metal keyboards to sell alu keycaps again
Gonna have to jump on it ASAP
Is that even an upgrade tho
Wooting already comes with a cloth cable which imo is better
Why doesn't he just get a good coil and use his money instead of waste it
8-Core IEM cables > everything else
Yeah thatâs my problem with cables
Anything other than stock Wooting cable is just aesthetic
Unless you want QD
but thatâs pretty meh to me
A few websites have MTNU sets, just search em up
It doesnât have ugly yellow on it so yes
i got the stealth, since the patterns is pretty.. well... stealthy
and i will get the white when that comes
Only small issue is have with wooting cables is the paint coating, which Iâve already brought up
Comes off easily like CableMods cables
wait whats the issue? does it chip or something?
Just scratches and chips off easily in my experience
oh hmm,
i dont have any issue with mine, but i dont really touch it a lot
i kinda leave it where it is
Yeah I was using mine for work so it was getting used and move around a lot
aah fair enough
Now I just bring one of my wiredin cables to work
i assume you cant just leave it there?
I could but I donât feel like leaving a $180 cable at work
well, yeah. thats why
These mfs lose shit too frequently
Wiredin?
Yeah
Do they make pc power cables?
Nah
Ah they sound familiar
And just to be fair I think the wooting cables are great otherwise especially for the price
And yes there are new colors releasing soon
yeah, if you look at wiredin, even the pre designed cables are around âŹ90
Yeah
so wooting price doesnt seem too bad, but offcourse a lot less colours and stuff, but makes sense
Yeah , I think the wooting cable kit is great, nobody needs to buy a high end custom cable like that if they donât want too
Yeah like I said, purely aesthetic. Or cuz quick disconnects
Yep
for wooting, i think their current collection makes sense
I also think itâs nice that the wooting cable kit comes with both options for coiled or straight
All in One
yeah, that too
Yo did anyone preorder the 461E that has a frog mini?
i wouldve personally liked if they were slightly longer, but i think lenght is plenty enough for most. and i get it for tachyon mode
Lol the wooting stealth doesn't have yellow either but I feel that yellow is kinda bleh
Ok sweet.
Iâm gonna tell this frog mini guy I gotta wait until 461E drops to find out
I thought that too when I first hooked mine up but then yeah Tachy Mode
Although if I go whole hog with aluminum keycaps frog mini kind of makes more sense
Go full premium
it is kinda funny watching esports, seeing all those yellow cables, then you just know its a wooting
But idk
Wow wired in stuff is really custom
Yeah itâs all handmade
Honestly not terrible pricing for hand made stuff
This is the first one I got from him, Custom Nightcrawler
looks really nice
Why
Night Owl is one of our most unique cables. It sports a black on black look with low-profile IEM braided 8-core copper wire with an e-coated FEMO 0B. This makes the cable extremely flexible as it can be used, of course, on your desk or easily taken with you on the go due to its low profile design! While our standard 8-
Nightcrawler V2 is our second take on black 8-core cabling. Due to our high bar for quality, we were not happy with the thickness of traditional IEM cabling. Therefore, we had thick 8-core cabling specially made in matte black. It is difficult to see in pictures but is very noticeable when compared to IEM cabling or w
Custom cables were the one thing so far in my 5 years I havenât done really
Had my friends make me some but $80 for a cable too much for my blood
Just prefer the textured look compared to a smooth cable
Yeah kinda wild lol
Yeah wooting should be a full on brand like razer or Logitech making mouses and pads and stuff
@polar girder
This Dutch engineering is too good
That would be awesome for a white setup
Mine is black tho so I'll stick with the wooting stealth coil
Yeah
And I also wouldnât mind seeing Wootings product line expand more one day
But I think things like that are pretty far down the road
The question is would it be better than meta
Rn ig the meta is super light and viper v3 pro would it be better
I'm searching for Belgian azerty keycaps in good quality...
Ewww Azerty.. Im belgian and i dont even use that xD
what can i get for <$70
Wooting cable kit
You can get one plated in gold for 70 man
Get the wooting coiled it's 40ish
alright
i just donât really like the colors that are out right now lol
like the pattern
Yeah I was in a meeting at the office but I did order the dessert base. The novelties werent on sale so I didnt grab those though.
Ill be able to compare botanical to olive soon now though
Is this aight to use to lube the stab wires?
'am gonna use 205g0 for the housing

how is it going santa?
Very nice! I didnât end up grabbing it
did i say smth stupid?
no lubing stabs is good. brain did not work
Pretty good, looking forward to getting home and checking out that Cherry Copper
I already have a set of the knight stabs in standard pole, but wanted a set of long pole for fun too
So... is that aight to use?
oui
aight, 'got it ty
One message removed from a suspended account.
I just ordered a 2 HE and had kind of a dumb question. If i for some reason decided to spend 200 more dollars in metal keycaps, would they mess with the magnets at all?
PC between those 2
One message removed from a suspended account.
Are you talking aluminum? If so you're fine.
Thock and HE isn't really a thing, but PC or POM are the best options for reducing some frequency resonance you might get from a metal plate
One message removed from a suspended account.
Especially if you're using a different case
One message removed from a suspended account.
Moreso thinking about copper or steel ones, though copper probably wouldnt be an issue
Also be aware of the weight if you aren't doing aluminum. Might need different springs if they are too heavy
yea
I do not
I wouldnât mind some âspace gradeâ titanium keycaps on an Event Horizon
lol that would be so expensive
Aluminum is not cheap
But titanium even less
Would be sweet cuz you can make titanium so thin
No good for thock then tho I guess
Alright fair enough. Thanks. Eyeing up those Metal Keyboards Alu set.
anybody know a place to get solid keycaps ?
something like similar to these https://www.alpheriorkeys.com/products/dark-koi-keycap-set-alpherior-keys?variant=47141352046888

im just brand new to getting keycaps so have no idea if these are considered like good... or if theres other companies with better caps that are more suited for a wooting
As long as they fit your layout, any keycap should be fine
preference
Zinc is made of a zinc alloy and is heavier and plastic is well plastic and lighter
as for which is thockier iâm personally not sure
canât remember if a zinc alloy sound test has been released yet
would yall say that the 60he comes good as it is or should i mod it alot?
Comes good as is
Modding is preference
90% of users probably donât even mod their wooting
Plastic will always be thockier than metal cases , however , chasing thock for HE is kinda futile
There isnât really thock for HE yet
I figured just wasnât 100% sure
Yeah fair enough
yeah im still debating on waiting or to pull the trigger on the HE full or the 60 or to order the 80 since it comes with better clicks and all around the new 8000hz
If you donât mind the layout , 80HE is solid , but if you want a board sooner , then the 60HE+ is great too
Can still be a god gamer with 1000hz 60HE
8000hz wonât make you better
Yeah jades are great
ok just wondering how its going to be i like buying the newest of things that just came out so just curious if there is any difference
how good is the abs on gmk caps
cuz ik that cheap abs like shines over time
does gmk have the same issue
What is polling rate, and how does it exactly look like on a keyboard? And what polling rate do we feature in our own Wooting 80HE? Calder discusses it in this video.

Finished my Wooting Mods. Already modded franken switches, tofu redux with brass bar, pc plate with silicone wedge, and i liked these designed cherry keycaps
??
GMK has some of the best if not, thee best ABS Keycaps
Yes they will still shine, that's just a part of ABS in general
nice
im gona match my keycaps with the gray alumaze
yeah
So glad I grabbed em when I did lol
Such a good looking set, one of my favs!
Yeah they sold out kinda fast
i heard that there are new jade dual rails coming out sometime soon
are they going to be compatible with the wooting
so in what scenario is zinc alloy better
also
how much heavier
im sorta stuckkk
So there's an E version and an N version of those new switches, the E version will release first and is a South Polarity Magnet, the N version will release shortly after and is a North Polarity magnet, which could potentially work with the Wooting but it is not guaranteed
can u help me CAM plsss
Well there isn't really a "better" whether you go with Zinc or PCR Case, now if you're chasing a certain sound profile, then the case material matters
and it's about twice as heavy as a fully built Alumaze
Hahah that's too nitty gritty to determine tbh, but foam will help with thock
im also thinking about this keyboard ro be longterm. so im keeping it for a long time
ok
wait
Zinc will just feel more premium in a sense
doesn't 80he come with foam and tape mod?
and have a more metallic sound profile
Yes it does come with those things
does it clack or cling or smth
and/or sound hollow
there is not 80he type of case
just depends
Yeah there's plenty of case options for 60HE, not so much for 80HE and there's no standard TKL layout
ye
but we could potentially see a couple 3rd party cases
and cuz i want it longterm
for the 80HE
and plastic might break
i guess
I doubt your PCR Case for the 80HE would break tbh
You can scratch metal or plastic
why tho
Why Zinc or Why both?
why u prefer zinc
Zinc cause heavier and more premium, both cause its nice to have options
im too poor :C
Poor is a mindset my friend
i guess
uh
US Amazon long pole stabilizers screw in for jades (please help, ordered regular đ
Regular stabs will still work on Jades
Regulars work fine
Whattaya guys think about these: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CRHN8ZXK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
really? bet
fax but if you dont believe us and just want long pole stabs, here you go - https://www.amazon.com/GATERON-Stabilizer-Mechanical-Keyboard-Satellite/dp/B0C132YC6Q/ref=sr_1_1
make sure you get the black/silver ones
are 80 he stabilizers hot swappable?
opinion?
no
I actually have these but would there be more rattle with the none screw mounted
nooooo
opinion?
are they good though?
yes
not usually but they do make them in screw-in form too but not sure if they are in-stock on amazon
k
OPINION???
only your opinion matters
I think there's some nice sets you can get for around that same price tho or similar
Unless you specifically want topography side print
if you know where they are for the US iâd love a link, just want to get it right 100% no chances
Edit your link to delete everything after the ?
ok
And topography is that wavy design
Hi there. I just placed my order for a full sized wooting HE (Cant wait) and am looking for a nice set of key caps. I just want to know if anyone can confirm that any mx compatible caps fit on the lekker switches. It seemed like they do but I figure safer to ask before i drop 100$.
hopefully my parents agree
Hahah sweet
Master at work here
lol
yes
cuz its hotswappable right?
Bless and thanks friendo
What is?
Also, tell me these aernt gorgeous https://spaceholdings.net/products/gmk-cyl-mv-t3rminal#accessory-items
Very nice set
the wooting 2 he
also
im getting the wooting 80he for my bday
since alloy is like
100 more expensive
imma just use it as my christmas gift as well maybe
Wooting Two HE is not hotswappable in terms of cases
he wasy asking keycaps
also is this a good script. its pretty long so ill delete after or make a thread
cant thread
actually wait
editing
good???
idk
imma just try i guess
@harsh dove any difference between the 60he different HE full besides the size?
and also is Gateron Magnetic Jade Switches good or should i go with the l45
Theyâre about the same in terms of performance ( Two HE / 60He )
Jades and L45s are both good switches, just preference really
cam
Isn't KS20U legit just a better L45
I would change that to jades or ks20u
I mean yeah some donât like the stem wobble on Lekker v1s but for some it doesnât bother them
Ks20u wasnât in the question tho
They just asked between jades and l45âs
I love the l45
Not for the sound but for the feel
đ¤
does anyone know what stabs are good for the he+? or do I just lube the ones that come with it and call it a day
ngl imo the stock ones are fine
alright THAnks
I just added a tiny amount of lube to one of them
Not sure if Lekker Edition and Two HE are the same in that regard, but if they are: Get Gateron Jades and heavily grease the Stabilizers. It makes such a difference.
what tape is best for doing a tape mod?
i use duct tape
i used basic painters tape
thanks guys
đłđŤŁ
Brother is using that tape mod for life
Rip the LEDs
Gonna use hot glue for tape mod
please dont use duct tape
using masking tape dw
If I do lube the jades/dashes and stabs
Should I remove the prelube
Or just lube on top
do dat
Do anyone have a case for my keyboard I can get in Amazon that not too expensive in black or sky blue
You shouldn't have to lube the jades tho imo its just a waste of time you can't hear the difference
Iâll just lube a handful of switches and see if there is
^^
Youâre actually banned from this channel if you donât hand lube
i hand lube my sausage, not my board
Lifetime ban
đŚ
I have lubed precisely one switch in my life. That was plenty to know that there's no way I'm spending my time lubing switches đ
I lubed an entire 60he and after considering me and @languid kestrel their opinion I made the scientific decision to never do it again
Omg these are beautiful
You bought all that equipment to lube one frikin switch wooting must be paying you good
I meaannn it's less than 40 euros for a lube set and tool kit including shipping lol
Is it actually worth it tho you should spend that time and energy to lube stabs
Yeah LESS THAN 40 EUROS
Bruh that's like 8 protein shakes
I measure in beers not protein shakes, and if it's less than my tab after one evening out then I think I'll be alright đ
You sound like a lightweight then lol
okay big man
Meh, lightweight sounds a thing people say when comparing each other to some imagined standard, I just do my thing đ
But for real if you bought the lube and tools and just lube one switch
50$ in the trash
No, it's in a drawer
If I bought the lube and tools idc if it makes zero diff I would waste an afternoon just to make me feel like it was worth it
And it's probably gonna stay there
Fair chance, yea
Well did you make that one lubed switch your w key
Well alr ig let this be a lesson don't lube your keys guys
Waste of time, money and protein
-_-
I never considered customizing a keyboard and here I am lubing 171 switches (Lekker Edition and 60HE) on two evenings. Tbh it was repetitive but also relaxing and 2 evenings for the reward you get is great.
But as someone else said... Consider greasing the stabs, that changed a LOT on my Lekker

You call it being lightweight i call it being economical
Getting drunk is so much cheaper
Grease your stabs for sure but unless your kb is old no need to lubr
If you get drunk from 40⏠in đť... You might be a lightweight
It was the Lekker Edition, so not necessary old. But there was not much grease on it. And I also very slightly lubed the housing. No more rattle. At all.
I mean depends what beer and how cheap it is
But also what i said still stands: economical
Okay thats correct. If you drink Starkbier đ
Or live somewhere where beer is still cheap (and I don't mean beer from discouters, thats disgusting)
You could also say: If you spend two evenings at home, lubing. Then you have saved two evenings of whatever you spend going out. Which will easily surpass anything you spend on lube.
At least that is what I always told myself when gaming.
I enjoy lubing
Anything older than a few years doesn't have the new lube so yours was prolly worth it
Its a relaxing way to spend 4 hours on a weekend
I need to clean some of my flaretechs and then lube them
It is. Even though, I would probably not do it for fun all the time. But I don't plan on changing my keyboard regularly
Wait I just realized your like a big deal with wooting so I wanted to ask smth
Why isn't L45 stock in the kb instead of L60
It would be so much better
Short answer because I'm running out the door:
L60s are closer to what the typical person prefers on a keyboard.
We validated this again ahead of deciding which switch to use for the 80HE as default, and it remained true
Yeah , average users use around 60g switches
Better is subjective
Most popular weight ranges are around 50-70g
Tbh in general my preference is the lighter the better (not under 45 tho)
So tbh 47-50 is peak
For me at least
Yeah I would 100% do a spring swap if it wouldn't cost 50$
Whoâs gonna buy an L45 switch pack if they come in stock? đ
If I get new switches I might try the spring pack. But Iâm big chilling for now.
Yeah thats fair to say for you, but Iâm referring to the masses popular opinion
Youâre one person
What was the force required for Steelseriesâ switches?
Yeah ik
Same as L45 right?
BTW making my protein shake has never felt so strange like smth I can't put my finger on
THANKS MARK
So would jades be like the sweet spot since itâs in between the two switch forces?
are inside the 60he module package more screws for the pcb? or just those installed inside
Never mind it seems the jades are more similar to lekkar 45âs
Maybe the dual rail ones may be different
Got my jades from aliexpress and they sound and feel so good
That is 100% preference but yeah jades are easier to press than L60 but have a bit more weight than L45 for me it's great and the sound is top notch
I got mine from kdbfans for an 11$ discount and they really are great
Hey, can you just lubricate the switches on the 60He+ or do I have to pay attention to something? Until now I've only ever used normal mechanical switches
Hoping the dual rail is just as good!!
Pretty much the same just donât get lube on the magnet lol
Why should lube on the magnet change anything
Jades don't actually have dual rail but tbh it really doesn't make that big a diff there is little to no wobble and it is just as stable as most dual rail switches (like ks20u)
If you want THOCK tho jades won't cut it they are clacky switches so for thock KS20U all the way
Hello everyone, I read that the 60He is supposed to be loud. I'm not very familiar with keyboards. What options are there to make the 60He quieter?
Fill it with foam
Clowns out today? I wasn't aware of it
I put a foam sandwich in my Lekker Edition and it didnt change anything further though
Ok, I can see that beginners are reluctant to be helped here. A pity. No wooting for me then đŚ
My friend⌠we help people every single day of the week
You asked how to reduce sound, I said add foam
And now youâre calling people names
btw there is a thing called youtube
There is also Kilmat as an option instead of foam
that guy seemed to be a troll
Or polyfill
Yeah idk, Iâm not tryna be a dick but thereâs not some super magical way to reduce sound in a keyboard, thereâs a few options
Itâs basically , foam, silicone, polyfill, kilmat, and the poured silicone option
And whatever else you may experiment with
And since foam comes with the board, thatâs the option I gave as it prevents you from having to spend more money on something else
dude, there was 0 bad attitude in your answer, so nvm)
Iâm on a similar journey.
Oh they left server lol
Peace out lil bro

Iâm kinda sad too
I actually like helping people lol
The best thing you can do to change the sound is change from tray mount IMO
True that too
But again I was just giving the first quickest option before spending more
Even tho burger mount and gummy mount are fairly cheap options
Some people canât be helped bro its not on you.
Mine were 50 eur vs wooting's 70 eur pack. Didn't even have to pay customs which was nice
Shout out to Fenix for providing the link
I really like the clack, just got to adjust to the springs since i used L45s earlier
@harsh dove did you measure the width of swagkingâs stabs by any chance?
I have not, but I can
Only if itâs no hassle đ
You just want the width of the housing?
Yeah
pro tip:
if some of your keys behave strangely - check the switch if it has any hair inside
how does one get an ISO enter key to fit a 60HE? Sorry if this has been asking a million times, any advice is appreciated
An ISO enter key fits only on an ISO board.
You canât fit it on an ANSI board.
If thatâs what you mean
Thank you!
That is exactly what I was asking :) Iâm new to the hobby and wanted to customize the keeb
Itâs a little bit confusing tbh
Iâm a big fan of the fat enter key, how would one go about switching the layout of the 60HE, if possible
like is there an ANSI big enter key
again Iâm completely clueless to all of this
Hate to disappoint but there isnât. The ISO enter requires a different PCB and switch plate layout.
You could buy an ISO 60HE if you really want.
I donât think thatâs sold in NA though, if youâre from there.
I see I see
learning is occurring, and yes Iâm in NA
I donât think Wooting stocks ISO in NA
I think Mans mentioned that before but not 100% sure
try wootings site. Add an iso version and ansi after and see if its the same price
I had a ducky for a while with some super cheap keycaps. Fell in love with the 60HE and refuse to look back. But now I want to customize it more
love the ISO layout
This one is more accurate. If ISO is available in NA, only order it if you really would prefer ISO.
Keycaps are also different
So would probably need to order a keycap set with that đ
Yeah I see that they offer the keys on their website as well
Itâs just the whole layout/board that I was curious about
But now I know
I think
Do you have a sound test example for this?
Thank you, theyâre slim af
Do you like them overall?
Good to know
Using standard pole on Jades rn but I also just got a Long Pole set last night
Pretty new too all of this but are the orings included with the module similar to burger mounting? If not is there a rec on which one is better?
The module does come with standoff rings, but it's not exactly the same as burger mount
Not loose?
Thanks! Would you say one or the other is better or just preference?
Stabs should really list their width
Just prefence really, I think the ones that come with do a decent job of removing any potential ping
I would say gummy/friction mount is better but that's also preference
Guy from AEBoardsâ Disc said that Durocks are almost 7mm so those wouldnât fit through standard Cherry holes either.
Didnât know that
but a lot of users do seem to enjoy the friction mount method
Tyty will have to look into that
Iâd call it 6.75
Check out our #đŞâmodding_faq for answers to a lot of potential questions
ewww
Few places you can get cheap o rings from
electric calipers
Can attest to this
Same
Yeah, so Durocks technically donât fit through Cherryâs (6.65) either.
My sort of endgame setup
still looking for some better keycaps in ether black or white, so let me know if anyone on here as some good recommendations for what i should get in the future
discord fucked up the quality so here the twitter link for the 4k images https://x.com/JudeCS2/status/1790793779865125152
Looks amazing!! I didnât know wallhack made cloth pads. Is it similar to artisans pads?
yes
matches it pretty well and imo i kinda like it more, cheaper and more avaible to everyone
they ship amazon and on there website for around 40-50 gbp
Damn basically a cheaper artisan zero? I definitely gotta check it out.
yes
Got around to putting my jades back on. God I've missed them.
I've given ks20us lekkers and raptors a fair shake but jades are just way too good.
how do the jades compare to the ks20us?
^ Iâd also like to know what you think about gateron combining the jades with the dual rail design
54 usd but I paid tax and stuff still a good deal
Unfortunately no but I'm sure you can find some online or ask someone else, sry lol
are hand lubed lekker 45 comparable to the jade switches
Not even close
i was thinkning of this when i noticed the dr orange are open bottomed
V1 lekker has a wobble issue which jade fixed
Yeah any lekker has a weird magnet sound while jades sound more like a normal switch
TL:DR Jade is better lekker
ive currently got the jades in my wasd/spacebar while i wait on my pc plate to deliver if you want a side by side for sound and wobble
actually my board has the lekker60
if you could send me ill be more than happy
As you can see in the end of the video the tighter tolerances actually have the jades being actuated instead of wobbling around first
I dig the black accent piece for the alumaze. Did you make this yourself or order it from somewhere?
dang, those jades really do have such a nice sound.
wrapped it myself in satin black
really happy with it
anyone here ordered from Goblin techkeys before?
i sent them an email about something i havent got anything back for a little bit, just wondering if anyone has sent them an email before so i know how long it usually takes to get one back
Help! I can't separate the PCB from the plate; it seems like it's stuck. I'm using Gateron Jade switches and I want to re-lube them. I already unscrewed the 8 screws, not including the stabilizer.
Do I need to remove the switches before changing the plate?
I saw the Wooting video on how to change the plate, and they removed it easily. Mine is stuck.
of course u have to remove ur switches first
remove switches> remove stabs > remove pcb screws > everything comes apart nicely
asumming ure using screw in stab since u said stab's screw
I watched the video, and it seemed very easy to separate the PCB from the plate with the switches still in. I think I might have missed something.
Swapping out your switch plate can seem a bit challenging, especially if you're new to the world of keyboards. Don't worry; just follow this tutorial, and you'll be good to go in no time!
Lekker Switches Swap tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KtpE1mv23s
PC Switch Plate kit: https://wooting.io/product/60he-pc-switch-plate
Switch tool k...
the switches have two plastic poles that goes into the pcb to hold it in, u can pull it apart but requires a little force but dont use too much force
u need to remove ur stab first if it's screw into pcb
Ok i will try again
Is it related? The stabilizer screw seems like it's not connected to the plate.
this screw connects the pcb and stab
there should be 10 screws
Oh, sorry, I sent the wrong video. From what I saw in the video at minute 1:26, it seems only need to unscrew the 8 screws, not including the stabilizer screw. But I already removed them, and it's still stuck.
Just got your 60HE+ Module, or wondering how the installation is performed? Following along this tutorial on how to install your 60HE+ Module into the Alumaze60!

đ Wooting 60HE+ Module https://wooting.io/wooting-...
oh right the stab doesnt touch the plate, just use some force might be because of the switches holding it in
thats why i like to remove the switches first
Yeah the switches are making it hard
Not an issue with my board but I also have lekkers
Jades might have a slightly tighter tolerance with the pcb stem thingy
And non + version
yeah i always forget that screw in stab doesnt touch plate because of the trauma i had with plate mount stabs đ
Do I need to remove the switches even if the PCB is stuck? I'm worried I might break the PCB. Do you have any suggestions?
60he non + stabs are plate mount or clip in?
Idk mine just pops off like nothing
Never dealt with that issue before
plate mount
i always removes switches first before i unscrew
Even with a little extra force, it's still stuck, like it's got an invisible screw or something.
if ure just relubing switches why even take apart the pcb
Oh, you removed the switches even though the PCB is still on? Will it affect anything? Should I do it slowly?
wooting is hotswap so u basically just remove it like how u remove keycaps
u dont even need to unscrew anything to take the switches out
what is a good keycap/switch remover to get?
Wuque or gateron
but even the cheapest one u can find will work fine
@heavy topaz this is the video that u should have watched

i prefer quick swapping because its way easier
lol, the problem is I don't have the case until next month. I'm using the foam case that came with the module. Maybe I need to wait for the case to safely pull the switch out.
this is the thing holding it together
making it hard to pull apart
but u should be able to just pull it apart
Maybe the jade switch pin is too tight. I think if it's a lekker switch, it'll pull out more easily.
I'm too scared to use more force; it's stuck like hell.
then the quick swap method might be for u
u can just try pulling the switch out individually
with the switch puller
Yeah, anyway, thank you very much for the help. Maybe I need to wait for the case for safety pull.
u can just pull it out right now the case dont really matter
I don't have a case and need to use force to push the PCB to pull the switch. I think it's not good. đĽ˛
i do that because i use gummy mount so i dont have my pcb screwed into my case
Uh what is the gummy mount? I'm new to custom keyboards and don't know about that.
its like a rubber band inbetween the pcb and plate that holds the module in the case with friction
guys, what are the best quality keycaps (company name) for around 50-60 bucks?
Try tutkeys!!
checking ty
seems like those are pretty hard to get
and they are around 80-100 usd
anyone here ordered from Goblin techkeys before?
i sent them an email about something i havent got anything back for a little bit, just wondering if anyone has sent them an email before so i know how long it usually takes to get one back
I feel like searching for decent XDA keycaps with any ISO layouts is playing this game on legendary difficulty ;_;
thx a lot mate i think more people than i will appreciate this vid you did maybe ill wait for the dual rail jade switches that are compatible with wooting but how which parts of the switch should i lube or should i lube every part (ive already watched the wooting tutorial but i would like a second opinion)
i just bought pc plate and want to use screw-in stab. what stab will for sure fit?
Gateronâs, Cherryâs and SW Knights too
Try pbtfans it will push your budget a bit tho it's like 60-80
Just unscrew the 8 screws holding the PCB to the plate and remove the keycaps that are on the stabilizers specifically. Then pull apart the plate and the PCB from eachother
You do not need a case to âsafelyâ pull switches out, most people remove the PCB from the case when changing switches
What mounts can u do with the 60he+
What are the benefits
And are they even worth doing?
Depends on which case youâre using, but there standard tray mount, burger mount, friction mount, gasket mount w/ custom plate, and leaf spring mount w/ Salvation case
Iâm gonna use the alumaze60
Then youâll have the option for standard tray mount, burger mount, or friction mount
Out of those 3, Iâd say the friction mount is my favorite
I saw that the case comes with stickers to put on the standoffs and screws
Helps with sound consistency and changes the sound of the board overall a bit
Do they have the same effect or no
Yeah theyâre little foam/silicone adhesives for the standoffs
Almost similar to burger mount
Burger mount helps remove the dead sound spots where the PCB is screwed in
Helps with sound consistency
Alr, so should I just use the stickers
Yeah
Alr thanks
Speaking of mounts, which ones are possible with redux?
Yeah you can also check out our #đŞâmodding_faq for more info
Same as alumaze
Standard tray, burger, or friction
Neat
Hey!
I am getting the Wooting 80HE sometime this year, and looking for some nice keycaps to go with it
Im getting the Zinc Allow frame (from the pre order) , any suggestions feel free to reply to this message and ill take a look!
What color zinc case?
Raw?
I already removed the keycaps from all stabilizers, but it's still stuck. I don't think it's related for now.
I already unscrewed 8 screws and following the latest Wooting tutorial video on YouTube. The last thing I noticed is that the pins of the Jade switch are too tight, which prevents me from pulling the plate off.
They shouldn't be too tight to pull the plate off
Could you show me the bottom of your PCB?
Can you check if I missed something? Do I need to unscrew the stabilizers too?
Looks like you have all 8 unscrewed, stabs are fine as is.
Where are you trying to pull from?
I'm trying to separate the plate from the PCB from The far left edge in the middle.
Try doing it like this, if you haven't
It may require some force but not a crazy amount
But I did it like that and it's still stuck. lol.
I will send the video give me a minute.
That's kinda odd, and okay
Ok i will try.
Hey are the White ANSI with Kana pbt keycaps seethrough/backlit? I currently have the doubleshot ones and the rgb shines through the letter itself but i wonder if they do that on these too.
Let me know
It's out now, but it's still stuck at the corner. What the heck, the PC plate is very hard to pull off.
Thx you so much finally out
Glad I could help

I heard that the icons on the pcb are from the founders
why was urs so much harder
Yeah
Icons for what
I just never leave keyboard - modding lol
I think I like linked my Wooting profile to discord so it knows I own one and I have the Wooting member role I think
Or something like that
No I mean an icon on the pcb
Those are only for super badass people
Very wealthy
A quick heads up
Hyperx pudding Keycaps sound like ass
I wanted more rgb than the wooting ones so I got them but nahhh the hyperx make the keyboard sound and feel awful
They look mid at best. A lot better in pictures than in person
We could have told you this!
You have discovered a few of the reasons most of us generally dislike the "gamer" keycaps.
@stray tiger i just wanted more rgb
:/
thought the difference wouldnt be as much
omfg im back on the wooting keycaps and they feel and sound so much better
Where can I find a case for the Two HE ?
There are no available after market cases for the Two HE
You can't.
Bruh I really like the look of the 80HE with the raw case but I want a full size keyboard
#1216240474663419995 If only
Really need south facing LED to let them shine. Sad.
Not something that I will buy but look good đ.
has anyone tried these for 60he+ module? https://kbdfans.com/products/compatible-accessories-for-wooting-60he?variant=41579926618251

The Gateron Jade actually improve the keyboard sound over the L45s hand lubed?
Sound is just preference but in terms of feel/stem wobble yeah absolutely.
this is the best answer
Jades are a long pole sounding switch which leans to the clacker side due to their travel distance being cut off to 3.5mm from the closed bottom housing. Lekkers (and V2), KS20, KS20u, and Raptors however are on the lower or neutral pitch end (or which some of yall call "thock"), so they would sound the same except the KS20u having a cleaner top out sound from the dual rail system.
There's that for sound comparison^
But otherwise follow this^
wdym by clean top out sound?
and how is the stem wobble on the jades/dashes compared to the ks20us
They are quite the same
Pretty tight
Top out is when the stem hits the top housing
alr thanks
Bottom out is when the stem hits the bottom housing
Yeah no problem, just to elaborate, since the KS20U and Jades/Dashes have an improved stem tolerance (stem wobble), they tend to have a little to no rattle when the stem makes contact with the top housing. Most users like me usually would have problems with the mold design of the lekkers as the stem would fit too loose causing it to have a chattery sound. But now after time flies, new HE switches are coming out and being improve when talking about these molds. So when you're considering a better feel (and possibly sound when affected) KS20U, Jades/Dashes (KS20T), and Lekker V2 currently have the improved stem tolerance mold.
Are the sticky rices still not recommended or are they good now? Debating between ws dashes and the sticky rices rn
@tall rain Check in #đŞâmodding_faq
dashes all day
Consider the ks20 dual rails
thx ill check em all out
Sticky rices are a no go unfortunately
Yo the more I think about it, Iâm liking the idea of plate mount stabs on a gasket mount
That's how I run
when should we approximately expect the jade dual rail for wooting?
What spring weight are in the gate Ron jades
30-50g
30 is the actuation force, 55 is bottom out iirc
Yes but their sound profile isnât âTHOCKâ, itâs CLACK.
Man I felt like I was crazy talking about stem wobble in here a few days ago
Cool to see more people excited about improved stem tolerance switches that were sensitive to it or didnt like wobbly switches
bump
between the jades and ks20u which one has a cleaner sound.
anyone know where i can buy these kind of key caps?
No point in waiting if I were you its just gonna be 80$ jades that are a hair more stable jades are stable enough lol
Does anyone know of an aluminum case from a third party that supports stripe?
Hi doaes anyone have a link to buy PBT keycaps in ISO FR format ?
Everyone always says stock wooting sounds terrible but me coming from a membrane that was free with my pc it sounded pretty good lol
Especially after tape mod
Can I use any switch on the wooting
Only magnetic switches, check #đŞâmodding_faq for the list.
Thatâs what I was doing on the frog until I got my SK Knights
My stock wooting plate mounts sounded good so I ran with em lol
I have the carbon fiber one, works great
You need the countersunk standoff kit
They have silicone injection treated stems and housings
Theyâre hype somewhere tho cause they sell out fast every time I see them lol
Theyâre basically âHoleeâ modded already
Look interesting, i might try this for the 80he
Always had some stab rattle myself
Hi guys, anybody tried (and succeeded) in modding a wooting keyboard to fit the french-swiss layout (especifically a mac one)?
For mac?
yes
Damn that's difficult
the screenshot i made is exactly what I have on my laptop
I'm not sure if it's mac compatible
the keyboard? why wouldn't it?
But if it is just get a set of pbtfans keycaps and put it on your kb on that layout
Honestly idrk I never tried it on mac but if it is great
Everglide cooking up a true 8KHz board. đŤ˘
But anyways then use wootility to bind it
BTW that enter key won't work
Sry get used to rectangle enter key
Those keycaps look like a weird mix of iso-de and iso-fr
You might be better off buying blanks and just touch typing
My problem is that I am completely new to the whole topic of high quality customised keyboard, and feel really lost in the amount of details and parameters >.<. There seem to be quite a few different switch types and keycaps available, probably with various levels of compatibility/affinity I presume. Even on wooting's own website there already seem to be 3 different types of keycaps. I have no idea what difference it makes
But honestly if I were you I would just try to get used to ansi muscle memory is easy to override and it's much more widespread
that's switzerland middle ground for you đ
ISO is the one you want if you need the bug upside down L shaped enter key
After that itâs just what legends you buy
yeah, as opposed to ANSI, I think I got that at least haha
But for some places it might just be easier to buy a blank keycap set and not worry about legends
Since what the key does is set by the OS, not the keycao
If you want to know about keycaps I would generally recommend pbt over abs and the most high quality is pbtfans rest is preference but cherry profile is the easiest on your fingers
Keycap*
I'm surprised no one has come up with a system of blank keycaps with very small OLED screens on it for full legend customisation
Cherry vs OEM? I'm not sure what is the difference. The slight concave curvature is it not?
No because those would need power
Thatâd cost an arm and a leg and introduce the issue that theyâd need to communicate with the board/PC and need power.
I mean there's leds beneath keycaps, and a led bar. that require both power already, don't they?
The keycap is just plastic
And separated from the board by one or more layers of material
I believe if you read the description of Wootâs keycap listing it explains what the difference is.
Doubleshot PBT, Dye-sub PBT and Etched ABS I believe
Screw-ins eh? Dang. Nice
Yeah theyâre screw in
If you have to pick between the two I would go cherry
Hi, I lost one of the Take Control strap screws, Is there a link to a good replacement screw set?
You can email social@wooting.io and our team can help you out
yes I found the detail about different manufacturing technics, but fail to understand why one would want one or another
Height
OEM is essentially just taller cherry
ABS is cheap to make small quantities of keycaps, perfect for oddball languages.
PBT is more durable but has a high upfront cost for manufacturing molds.
Dye sub allows fancy prints on all 5 sides of the keycap
Knights stab works with jades right?
Yup
