I have honestly - never - heard of anyone managing to do this. Nor have I had this happen myself in spite of taking apart 60HE's more times than I can begin to think.

The Alumaze screws are the only screws I am aware of having some issues in a specific batch.

For the few interested: Clicky KS-20T and KS-20U switches. The click leaves are from the Melodics, you can use the KS-22’s click leaves as well but those switches don’t seem to be widely available anymore. The click leaves are not non-magnetic but I didn’t encounter any problem during use, only once during installation when the stem’s magnet pulled the click leaf out. The 20T’s clicks shocked me, they’re among the loudest I’ve ever heard and actually quite painful if you hold them right next to your ear. Its tactility doesn’t go unnoticed either, not heavy but certainly not light. 20U’s clicks and tactility is more subtile, very similar to the Melodics. I’m not a fan of clicky switches but like I said many times before; tactility is so powerful for HE in general and I think it’d be very possible to A: Make non-magnetic click leaves, and B: To make tactile only click tactile leaves. 🔈🔉🔊

The IC for the sensor isn't as cheap as you would imagine. In fact, it's why all of the boards that use the KS-37B switches use an IC that integrates the sensor and RGB together to cut down on a good portion of the cost. However, that combo IC isnt as reliable, has had a number of reported failures and even lead to sales being stopped of some boards. Efficient power management is hard to do with an integrated IC and single power.

I can confirm this, I've inspected all the magnetic stems and they are all the same length. Jades aren't actually long poles, they only travel 3.5mm due to the bottom housing being closed. Jade stems in other switches or other stems in jades don't change the travel distance, only the bottom housing being closed or open does.

Yeah, people refer to Jades as long poles simply because their total travel distance is shorter which is a characteristic of long pole switches.

Like when people think the keyboard is freaking out but really its because it's sensitive af and when they think they are hovering or pressing, they are actually shaking and the key keeps engaging and disengaging.

Ive seen similar issues with people applying tape mod to tightly, using an aftermarket plate without the standoffs installed, or burger mounting incorrectly which causes the board to twist slightly.

imo switch pads aren't worth using on the wooting, you are likely to cause more trouble and there isn't a lot you are fixing using one because the switches work differently.

Maybe I am just out of touch, but keyboards are not expensive. People are just either 12 and unemployed or used to bottom of the barrel chinese keyboards that they replace often or use broken for a while.

I guess it's just a matter of value, but a keyboard that you use daily with top notch performance and a 4 year warranty has the right to cost as much as it does.

My main headphone is a set I bought almsot a decade ago. My friends thought I was crazy because I could have bought the "cheaper" beets, which not only sounded awful, but they have replaced almost half a dozen times by now.
