I haven't tried both yet, I'm using the silicone since I hear it creates a more "clack" sound but maybe down the line I'll try the foam as well. Pretty satisfied with it's sound right now

Hey guys. Just got my wooting module and tofu60 redux case. The redux came with what looks like 3 brass standoffs. I can't figure out what it goes to.

Yes/no. If you don’t use Wootility Beta (which is recommended for the Jade switches) your travel distance is limited to 0.15mm - 3.5mm (+/- 0.2mm). So the maximum actuation you can set and maintain full function is 3.5mm (+/- 0.2mm). If you use the Wootility Beta you can treat the actuation slider as you would normally (which means you can set the actuation point to 4mm and maintain full function). 👍

if you're finding certain tapes are too sticky, use a layer or two of painter's tape and then put the stickier tape on top of that so you can remove it easily in the future if you need to

Gummy O-Ring Mount & Screws Stuck

Hey guys,

I mounted my PCB with a PC plate In the Redux with Gummy O-Ring mounting and realized that 2 of the stabs are stuck. I cant seem to get it out of the case and the screws will not come out, I don’t want to bend the plate so I haven’t tried anything too crazy.

Please let me know any suggestions

You shouldn’t do a gummy/friction mount with the stock screw in stabs as it’ll be too tight.

If all screws are completely loosened you should try to lifting it out from the bottom (spacebar) side.

The switch plate has a screw to the PCB on the right of the spacebar I believe

Try pulling from there as it is the strongest point.

Looks like you’re using a phillips screwdriver. It’s not a phillips head screw. Use the driver that came with the tofu

Some had the issue that the Switch plate is too tight on the stabilizers causing exactly what you’re experiencing. I’d take off the switch plate and test if the stabs function properly without it. 👍

Oh the screw goijng into the stand off. Yeah easy. Just grab the standoff with some pliers if you dont have a nut driver

Ok going to try that, I fixed the stabs by the way for those that were helping me

the issue was there buffer foam overlapping on those 2 standoffs which caused the stabs to be uneven

gummy mount works on the module with stock spacebar stab. I wouldn’t recommend doing it if unless you think it sounds better because the oring will pop up over the plate and the keycap will hit it unless you spend a while messing with it.

I’m not sure but if you put the plate over the stabilizers and they can’t fit through it’s not compatible.

Most likely too small stabilizer holes on the plate.

Sounds like the plate was cut out of spec slightly. You could always take a razor knife to the cutouts if you really want a clacky FR4 sound

My dog jumped on my desk a month ago and ruined my wooting he60 (switches and plate got sticky) DROP + MiTo GMK Pulse Custom + DROP + MiTo GMK Laser Custom keycaps - layout by me, upgraded to aluminaze, lekker 45 switches (self lube) So, I can confirm the wooting is entirely waterproof, and although I had to change out some sticky switches - it passes the pop test (unlike my ltd edition ducky one two mini hyper x, rip.) I am extra happy with these upgrades and I won’t exaggerate or lie… feels smoooooooooth and clicks (not clacky)
