Ive linked that a lot as well. It's why when TheThockfather goes live I'll be using highly accurate equipment for measuring sounds. I currently have 3 mics sitting on my desk and I'm about to order a 4th. Its delaying the channel but I want to make sure I can provide consistent sound results.

No, the desk reverb sound is def there in the second one. Youre not tripping, but you're not right about it being the desk mat.

The second one is recorded using a dynamic vocal mic with a wide cardioid pattern and that width means it picks up things other than the keyboard, like the desk. The first is a super cardioid condenser mic with a narrow pattern that only picks up the keyboard. Both are on a pad, both 6 inches away. No processing for either one.

regarding the switches that come installed in 60HE (received mine in December) the lube in the l60s is pretty inconsistent or just non existent at all, I just hand lube like 8 of them this morning, the sounds improves and that will slow down the fomo about getting the jades or whatever is new "best switch atm". I do not have any problem waiting for new switches now. But as my Alumaze will be delivered on January, I would like to ask you Alumaze+PC plate worths the purchase?

this is piddly, but you seem to be an exacting person - the diaphragms are positioned differently inside different mics, so putting them all 6" from the mic's chassis or mesh is actually different distances from the diaphragm

For sure, but there is no equalization or affects applied to either. So it wasnt recorded to say that one is exact and one isnt, it was to show you that 2 different streamers could make a sound test who have 2 different types of mics and get 2 different sounds.

The exact opposite, think about it. Switch to switch is pure and only the sound of the switch. Switch + stab to switch + stab is the sound of both combined. Many don’t know what stab rattle even is therefore not hearing a big change. 90% is an enormous overstatement. We get many new comers here, mostly new comers I’d say.

The PCB recalibrates each time you power on the keyboard. The switch wont make a difference regarding sensitivity
