They arent KS-20T?
is tofu60 redux really worth it over stock case? its pretty pricy for me to get it to austraia
T
ok whew, had me worried for a min haha
Yes
or is T the double rail?
Ks-20U is dual rail (not yet publicly released)
Jades do not have dual rail design
I ordered some but theyre still in the mail
I wish
well, wish... who knows how they turn out haha
The Neo Studio one I believe is a dual rail version of the KS-20T but they also got a patent complaint from gateron
so the wooting compat ones with polarity in one direction are gateron and raptor, and then all the other ones are reverse polarity?
Patent war..
or are there any other makes that are compat?
patent thief accusing patent thief... go ask gateron if they ever heard of cherry...
Only Gateron’s and Geon as of now
ah okay so no change on that front haha
Ill be curious to see if Kailh, Heijn, Raseha or Zenaim also get notices for their HE switches
I think that is what the filing is about
they will use the steelseries ones are sales item to proof first on market
and then everyone else is fucked
IF they get it through
The OmniPoint ones?
Do you know if HE switch compatibility is a hardware as in HE sensor can’t sense other magnetic forces or a firmware thing?
idk which ones they refer to specifically but if you translate the ZF post:
Since its establishment, Huizhou Jiadalong Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (GATERON) has focused on the research and manufacturing of mechanical switches and customized switches. In 2019, in collaboration with SteelSeries, we launched the world's first magnetic switch keyboard, which was subsequently used in the Wooting magnetic switch keyboard a year later.
magnet polarity
the other ones are reverse
There are a number of factors
due to, i was told, cheaper sensors on other boards
I read it, Steelseries’ switch is KS-20 as well.
(wooting = good, drunkdeer = "cheaper" sensor = reverse polatiry)
thats at least what the pcb guys told me when i looked into it a few weeks ago
It seems stupid to me that not all HE keyboards use the same design.
Drunkdeer, Elecom, and another Im forgetting are all the same board
Would be better for all of us.
they do but they dont
oh and I forgot Outemu also has an HE switch
But a new is also expensive no?
thats interesting, because maybe gazzew and geon work on this together haha
The KS-37 didn’t exist only long after the KS-20.
those sensors are pretty old i think, like thats no new invention
The RedDragon M61 uses Outmenu HE switches
Kailh has 2 different HE switches. Kailh Box Sakura Pink and Ice Cream
Well even the KS-37B arent compatible with the KS-20 boards, so there are some changes for sure even internally to gateron
yeah the 37B are also reverse right?
Thats my understanding
yep, iirc thats the case yeah
all other switches and ks37, and then ks20 is opposite
What I don’t understand is if you’d take the magnet of the KS-37s would the HE sensor of the Wooting HE boards not be able to sense it?
opposite polarity
Not if the polarity is reverse
HE sensors can only sense either pole?
Im pretty new to modding and I want to mod my Wooting, my main goal is to make it silent since that's my preference, I'd like some help as to what to do to achieve this
Thats a tough one. You can make it quiter but not silent like a traditional silent board
As quiet as possible without affecting performance would be something I can live with to be honest
what are some good places to buy artisans?
theres certain accessories, but you can start by getting something to fill out the inside of the board
polyfill for example
for collecting or for decoration?
replacing the stock foam? or adding on?
oh theres already foam in it right
decoration mainly
well actually decoration fully LOL
If you want as silent as possible, grab some killmat for the internal foam
anywhere then really, lots of people like dwarf factory and their buddies
I prefer the 'silent' sound but the 'creamy' sound i've recently started to like 😂
How do I get silent?
ok thank u !
I now identify as Edwin Hall.
replacing the stock foam?
yes
is it a better alternative would you say?
If youre trying to make your keyboard quieter, yes
@stray tiger
is this the set you said eariler?
someone offer me frog mini in red
and notice keycap set
Oh yeah man, sorry I forgot to pull it out for you. One sec
what’s a good price for a salvation case? i might try and buy aftermarket
kinda warm white
Like buying one used?
yeah i was thinking around 200 or 225? or am i hoping too much
Nah I was gonna say $220
How do I make my keyboard silent?
lots of options
dense foam, fr4/pc plate (muted sound profiles), o rings under keycaps
assuming youre talking about wooting
Yessir
if regular keyboards, you can use silent sswitches
not sure theres a silent he switch
Honestly orings will get you most of the way there
Can you send me links for the products, because I have no idea what ur talking about
You won’t be able to remove the upstroke but yea
you can find all of them on amazon
for dense foam, look for 400kg/m^2
think neoprene may achieve that
can also use tall and thick keycaps, sound resonates more inside them
but like if youre using a wooting youre playing valo and have the keyboard muffled behind 94 layers of noise cancelling anyways
Nah bruh
Wtf is valo
lmfao
@shell geode
Kilmat as case foam is a really good option
i gtg sleep so i cant really help atm sry
if gewalt is online he can help you
he has a slient wooting
Gewalt hört sich Deutsch an
@tidal ginkgo Hey, so I've also tried to make mine silent as well. What I've done is getting some really small o-rings (something like 4mm OD 2mm ID with 1mm thickness) and put the o-ring on the switch stem pole, so it sits between the stem and the spring. It not only muted my switch, but also reduced the total travel of the switch itself, to about 3.8mm. Even though I have my actuation set at 0.1mm, the depresses return quicker. You can test out one switch if you have a small o-ring lying around somewhere. It's not completely silent, but it's quieter. I'll record a clip and send you later
Nice, I'll try that then
Where do I get o-rings though?
I got mine from Amazon
do be warned tho. oring on keycap can change the typing feel on your keyboard
so you might like it, you might not

PC keycap/plate/switch/case??
i have a question about case swapping stuff, if i were aquire something like a wooting two HE, how difficulty is swapping the PCB into the varmillo x ducky sakura full size case
would it be more difficult because the switches are recessed and on the wooting theyre exposed?
(i have the full size of the first but i couldnt find a picture of it online)
No other cases are compatible with the Two HE, and I think the only way to make it fit into another is to hack and grind
@tidal ginkgo Here you go! It's not fully quiet, but much quieter than stock. My mic is also sensitive so it's louder than it really is
that is very far from quiet
thankyou, was looking for a video lke this
👍
Why can I hear it lol
@tidal ginkgo Yeah like I said, I've tried but it's not as significant compared to actual designed silent switches
It would be awesome if one could succeed in making them quiet
Switches are the problem.
jades are endgame holy
i just got them in the mail and i havent got most of my stuff planed out for the wooting and it sounds SOO good on the stock wootin
no mic gonna be more sensitive than a studio mic
its so sensitive that it makes my keyboard sound whack
did you tape mod it?
if you did, try nano tape sandwiched by painter's tape
i wonder if kapton tape would be better
i feel like any foamy type of tape would work
kapton tape is non residue electrical tape
i actually have some actual studio acoustic foam at home ready to be modded into my keyboard, just waiting for when im not lazy
maybe when i receive my stabilizers i could try it and drop a few sound tests
rn im still trying to figure out what case and what plate i want to use for the wooting
yeah precisely why i sandwiched it between painter's tape, afraid that the nano rape's residue might get messy on the pcb
buts its hard now since the gatteron jades kinda make it sound good
thock or clack
rn stock with jades is the marble thock
so im having an even harder time figuring it out
tape mod 👍 oring friction mount 👍 polyfill 👍 jade switches 👍
pc plate 👌
oring burger mount is fine too but i personally find it hard to pull off so 👌
wanna spend big money?
case 👌
now i want to put the holy60 case to see
no need for tape mod with jades
holy 60? oh god
the sound profile is already good on stock alu plate and case
tape mod pretty much just makes it louder and adds the definition of pop into it
oh i thought it was alu
alu does clack
i wouldnt say louder but it gives it a deeper sound
atleast it did in the tofu
the poppy was an obvious add-on to me
in the alumaze it mitigated most metallic tones on the alphas
i have the takka60 ordered with a cf plate with orange 2.0s for the holy 60
basically a redux
im thinking of getting the metal wooting case and putting a custom pp plate
the holy 60 is not gonna sound good, i can promise you right now
thats why i bought it if it doesnt sound good then imma just use it on the shelf
there is no way a 200 gram piece of aluminum thats filled with holes will sound good
what if the jades fix that
i mean there would barely be any sound reflections
jades can not fix hollowness
i think there's a way but not a solution out there right now
maybe acoustic foam could fix it
custom plastic insert
the only way i could see that happen is you do a tape mod and you glue polyfill to the bottom of the case
it can prevent sound from bouncing off the table
in which rendering the polyfill useless ☠️
i have a nice deskpad under my keeb at all times so
doesn't matter, the material in the deskpad wouldn't be enough to dampen out the sound reflections i feel
as per compared to studio grade acoustic foam, i have some at home rn (rockwool), im gonna see how muted i can get the redux
it indeed is a cool looking frame i cant disagree
thats before the china taxes too
i bought it as the holy 60 on kbd fans
how much was it
the case by itself is 120
usd?
inclusive of shipping thats gonna be another 180 on my arse
280 bc i wanted the case pcb cf plate and orange 2.0 switches
should've gone with jades
are you that desperate @-@
well he isnt
i already have jades
i usually dont ride the hype train until someone drops the sound tests for me
usually cam 👀
this is also a limited run
i paid 324
i just want to test the orange 2.0s mostly
i can get jades faster from gatteron anyways @untold wigeon
you could've just waited a bit longer for them to show up
that will not ship before march
please drop sound test on the takka 60 pls
most my stuff i buy are gbs
what plate is that though
so i just stopped looking at dates
CF
it was either fr4 cf oralu
fr4 > cf
i highly doubt there will be a huge difference
with these switches
and with the tray mount too
true
especially with all of those holes
LMAO
there wont be a dif
its an open case anyways
typing feel though
sides are also open
fr4 more flexible
cf will be more stiff imo
i shouldve bought this in white
doesnt matter the plate is attached with standoffs to the pcb
gummy mount :3
u dont want a hall eff keeb with a flex plate
even the PC plate is as stiff as the steel in my experience on the wooting
oh bruh yeah
consistency with the stiff plates with hall eff
it it was a standard mechanical switch flex
u wont see it tho
they all get hidden by keycaps and disagreed
also i dont care for rgb on
so i wont see it still
CF looks better
also i dont understand
ill personally spit on your cf
why they bother with flex cuts
if its on a car i dont mind :3
how abt u spit directly on me
I KNOW U LOVE IT THATS WHY I DIDNT SAY THAT
feels good on standard mech keebs that are gasket mounted
i dislike flex cuts even there
it takes away from the sound
any notice inconsistency with the flex cuts?
because they make my finger hurt more
yes
im more of a top mount person
not as much on gummy mount
no but with better switches it might effect sound a bit
KBDfans also had a pom plate but they removed it because it was causing issues with the switches
I mean in actuation and overall performance as the cuts give flex where there shouldn’t be.
yeah
wonder how pp plate would be on a wooting
smkeyboards sells pom plate iirc
cf is stiff enough
what’s a pp plate?
theres still pom plates on aliexpress
🤨
polypropylene
also usually sound lost/bad sound from flex cut matter more in PCB
in wooting imo not noticeable
but pc > pom anyways so yeah
is that different from polycarb

Lots of keyboards in this video. But just wanted to showcase and do a little rev...
alu < cf < fr4 > pom > pc
do not name it a pp plate when paying on paypal
i will
wut
what is that scale for
pp also stands for cock
will get your paypal acc blocked
LMAO
also
LMAO
closer to pom
lol
u have a pp plate on the wootin?
but closer to pom on which side
flex
got a PP plate in my safa
so towards fr4
its more fexible than pom
alu < cf < fr4 > pom > pp > pc
and got a pom plate ready for my wooting
that's cope
I want a sound engineer or something to prove/disprove all this shit
unironically fav plates atm so far are good alu plates and goot plateless
and not just opinions of people
there is not much to disprove
but with actual facts behind it
alu is nice
in the end it comes down to preference
ask your mom
its just personal preference with sound
also plate material alone is not all
preference is based on facts, how one plate performs to another but humans are bad overall
plate material is followed by material density and it's stiffness x flexibility, im sure there's more factors that follow after the ones ive listed
and good switches also
aka cherry mx blacks
broken in mx blacks
Tribosys 3204 w/ polycarb films. (Retooled housings, vint stems)
OG Cherry PBT w/ CRP spacebar
idb is so fucking good
That’s my point, what a material does to sound profile is fact not preference. What sound profile you like most is preference.
yeah indeed
but if you want the very end of the spectrums its easier to reccomend one
just talking about plate material rn
i think imma use a pp plate on the wooting cant go wrong right?
yea but looking at it in a vacuum never tells the full story
could be too flexy
case comes together with case foam so yeah, in the end there are two parts to sound ina keyboard
thats mostly what im worried about
ik from someone at another company that they had issues with EVA foam for plate foam
ofc not but the only way to test what a material does in in a controlled environment
since it affected the sensor readout
keycaps-switches-plate-pcb foam-switchpads-pcb
case foam-case
i might need to use silicone over foam if i do tho
idk I will just dodge sound dampening entirely
just to reduce the flex mostly
ah yeah
then i can put that in a alumaze and hope it will sound good with no foam
ye custom cut oneoffs are expensive
while me, 47 sgd on orings
customs are always expensive
and pom/pp are the best platic ones
just have fun with your pom plates
just fyi
i want one but people keep warning against it, even those selling it
aka kbdfans
i messaged the support asked them why they discontinued the pom plate
they gave the tom dick harry answer so i just had to accept it
POM was too flexible for HE iirc. It would move so much that the sensors would go out of sync.
did anyone measure wootng pc platee thickness?
yeap correct, that was their response, fairly understandable though
will be 1.5mm
because even kbdfans canceld POM because too flexy
i mean beyond those grounds own experimentation will be on your own risk and costs so yeah
one question,if you order alu
shop will send in raw or ano black?
thats a shame
oh thats not bad a tofu redux kit is only 89usd
try 130 before china taxes
from kbd fans?
yah
they havent taxed me yet
right i forgot the order needs to be above 150 for taxes
but i do pay for the nicer dhl shipping option
im from usa i dont pay vat
they always shipped dhl to me (usa_
ah but i do pay 10.25% for state tax though @untold wigeon
you didnt buy the prebuilt?
nah i bought the kit
theres a prebuilt and a kit?
i uusually diy
i mean its just 5 screws

yeah
but i couldve been lazy and just slapped on my own keycaps

its only $10 more for them to do it for me @untold wigeon
hmm
It’s enjoyable to build it tho
id pay the $10 to be lazy
interesting
yeah but im always super busy and its less enjoyable bc no soldering
the module+also the bullshit and the long pole stabs gets around 450 for me
this is with keycaps too and would be quite a bit cheaper
yeah but i got gb keycaps i want to use
without keycaps
i already have pbtfans keycaps
this also has this
hmm interesting decision
i just make keycaps out of play doh
im using these keycaps
nice
sheesh and resin?
honestly i'd cancel my module for this if it didn't come out in march
do i look like richy rich?
yes
@craggy viper thanks for telling me abt this ready to use kit
its quite an interesting proposition
im sad i couldve been lazy
tho i already own a tofu 60 redux
but decided to not be
do i get the already well established and 100% product that ships in like a week or do i go for the product that is a limited run and ships out in 3 months

spend 300 to get 150 for free
both
one to wait for and 1 to use right away
i already have the og 60 he in the tofu but i wanted the stabs and the jades for the module
i ordered the module and the jades
now im thinking maybe i get this
instead
but it'd waste a case
whats dif about the module
ah
i'd love it if they just sold the pcb and plate by itself with switches
i dont want to waste another case
i already have the alumaze and tofu
i forget is the og plate mounted stabs @untold wigeon
tho last time i ordered for 300 bucks on kbdfans i ended up paying 500 thanks to vat customs and other fees
yeah
they are mostly ok
always pay for the more expensive shipping option
oh plate mounted stabs are fine to me bc TX stabs go brrr
all i know is its 8khz and hall effect
this is normal for EU isnt it?
only if u get taxed and inspected
i do not trust that this software will work properly
it might or might not who knows its too early to tell
but we don't know if it is 8khz scanning
表面数据 in this context just refers to rakka HE pcb's RT/actuation point accuracy, ie. advertised 0.1mm actuation point really is 0.1mm whereas wooting's might be 0.2mm
thats my question exactly
i asked native speaker to translate
the wooting module with pcb mounted stabs and jades will sound 1:1 to this rakka
this is translation
exactly what we are rectifying with the latest stable release
last settence was example
interesting
do we know that MCU it uses?
"reputation for chinese mean easier to resell lol
stability is the concerning one
sadly, my zfrontier cant comment on his post
thuse asking him is not possible
ill take the risk tbh
im interested
i mean i'd mainly want it over the module for the split right shift
as i heavily dislike the big right shift
i just use it for up arrow
nah its fine
https://rakka.dev/docs/products/60-diy-kit.html this is all we know
Create interesting products with ❤
iam all in
ye i think im good on this one
im not dealing with taobao
its what the holy60 comes with...
almost all the nice stuff come from china @untold wigeon
of course
i posted this like a week ago lol
im using the 64 layout
thats how im going to set it up bc i like the arrow keys
you can do that on the one from kbdfans too rightr?
thats the same pcb....
i asked no plan for h64
thats how i have mine setup
but that is customer support said
same pcb
just change how its config in software
and waiting so long for it
thast bc u want the holy60
i meant more like in taxes
the price on kbdfans is fine
obvs im gonna with the holy60, im not buying another tofu redux

pricey tho
.cn dif
ust use translate bar
right
nope
ye its quite pricey
i do not use chrome
they expect you to use an agent and taobao
nah im good
KBDfans is dealer for you
best dealer imo
just fyi, if they have it on aliexpress buy it via aliexpress
i use alibaba for buisness orders and aliexpress for non buisness orders
$235 usd for Shaft body:
60% alu 6063 CNC case in black/sliver/white
H60/H64 PCB
FR4 Plate
3 foams
keycap set
not bad
only right shift split
im not using stock plate tho
ah
i ordered the cf plate for the normal layout but when im not lazy ill have the custom plate for it
and i can get the plate design from rakka
i would be curious for a holy 60 sound test
would pair nicely with white ceramic caps
Split right shift is fine, don’t really look nice on 7u or any layout really. It’s nice to have on 7u that’s the only time I’d use it but you can argue using l-win for that
Anyway different layout options goated honestly
Now just need someone to give stepped caps too
btw takka60 is kbd fans exclusive rakka60 is a dif board
oh
im curious if the alu plate from the takka kit works on the 60he if all the standoffs are in the right position
it also blocks the spacebar rgb
now what is that
It’s just a frog plate
🐸
tad poleeee
what material are you going for
Ah I’ve got an alu plate
Probably wouldn’t go for anything else
Alu da goat material imo
i'd go for CF
yea i'll see if I have issues with POM
wooting plate
then would prob go alu
I made a Pom plate
Tad reads like "clitoris" in my language lmao
tho not sure where I can source a decent material alu plate
I had issues with switch tolerance
this doesnt show standoff locations
they fit fine in mine
The picture I sent shows standoffs
this is a better comparison
Ah nice
lmk before i make a pp plate
thats the official pc plate from wooting btw
Yea I think I didn’t ask for the right tolerance
ik what it is, i have 2 of them
But it was way too flexy honestly
Ah yea makes sense
(technically 14.001mm)
I got one cut locally, last time I do that
snijlab is pretty local to me
Got my alu plate on taobao and it’s perfect
china dif
which alu
u can get it cheaper and better
what shop? please give me link
Yea there’s just no reason for me to order from anywhere but China
current shop always reply like 2 days late for me
6063
i made a custom glass pad from alibaba for 30 usd each compared to buying from pulsar for 90 usd

and i used their distro btw
The guys really good @pale aspen
Helped a lot and I don’t speak any Chinese just used translate
what difference? i saw geon also use 5 series
it's softer
are u from SG?
i assume
basically any decent custom keyboard alu plate is 5-series
Yea it’s crazy huh
did he do CF plate?
geon?
Yea plates usually end up softer 6063 is for cases
i skipped soo many steps lol
i cut alu and cf usually
But idc much honestly
I think the closest thing geon made was the laminated frog plate
Idk if they’ll cut cf but you can ask
ah actually
glare 65 had CF plates
korea only
Ye
if you mean his wooting plate
anger material
Another
i need to pick uptx plate mounted stabs for my wootin
Yea good luck
i have extra wires so i dont need to worry about the space bar

i forget if i need long poles or normal for the wooting though
its $13 for me
thats normal in au
What is?
For the tx ap, I don’t get long pole right? If I’m getting gateron jades
Okay it doesn’t actually really matter ya
you get long pole
But I think you’ll want long pole for the jades
Shittt I alr ordered them without long pole
What’s the difference
eh it might be fine, not everyone has the long pole keycap issue
long pole just guarantees you won't
tf you doing here
ayo ima buy that tx ap non long pole for my wooting
@fierce void tf u doing here
You don’t need long poles, you just need to make sure the stabilizer stems are up in the keycap and not half way out. Ofc without longpoles u might have a tiny bit more wobble but shouldn’t be a problem.
i hate wobble
i tested it with a longpole switch i have and it can be quite annoying
I mean
whether or not you notice it normally is another thing
My jades come in soon. I cancled my raptors
i have ruined myself and did a side by side
It’s a really minor wobble I’d say

good boy
Does the rakka pcb have support for 64%
ye
The jades are closed
at the bottom
so they sound more like a classic non HE switch
and the tolerances are much better
wym why am i in here i have a stock wooting with jades on it
jades were also design for sound profile
gatteron sent me mine in this nice container
not sure how to get the traditional boxes tho
@untold wigeon
where did you buy it from?
Ok thats where I ordered mine from
thats nice
$20 shipping and got it today and i ordered it on friday
we dont include weekends and monday and its pretty fast
That container sure looks familiar.

share your sound test here @eternal furnace
wrong guy
I would post my sound test if it wasn't scuffed
It's super scuffed but the stock wooting with jades sound soo good
are the L45s or L60s better? probably subjective ik but im unsure what to get
is that with the steel plate also, I think I wanna try it with the Jadddes
Do u want to hear it
It's scuffed
Nah, it's cool thanks. I'll pull my keyboard apart tomorrow for the 69th time
Extra scuffed but here
I like it!
Jades are too goated
Yah mine arrived yesterday, very niceee
I didn't think it'll make the stock wooting sound like a whole new keeb
I'm not a fan of either tbh
which magnetic switch do u prefer?
Ez answer gatteron jades
I just posted a scuffed sound test with them
L45's will be less fatiguing for gaming but really depends how heavy handed you are, L60's might be fine too
Thankfully the jades are 30+-7gf
oo ok ill see if i can find some
Coming from L50 springs I was worried the Jades might be too light, but so far so good
thanks
Gatterons website
U get used to it I normally use 68g springs

I'm just a gatteron enjoyer my main keeb suisei 65 is on holy panda Xs
Nice there's a lot of good switches out there but I'm probably behind 6 months with the latest and greatest
I'm a tactile enjoyer

Kangys or pandas for me
I don’t get why no one has made tactile HE switches yet. They could just state the recommended actuation point and there you go.
Mostly because it would counteract any benefits from an adjustable actuation.
^
nixes after spring swap are pretty crazy from what i've seen
Eek
What's the purpose of hall effect if u got that
I keep hearing Cherry MX switches should be spring swapped, I haven't tried it yet, too much effort
I want my adjustable actuation or I'd be on a traditional mechanical switch
i see
Rapid trigger? DKS, all features that come with HE??
It could be very interesting.
But the tactile bump will ruin that feel
u should drop ur entire keyboard collection 😩
As I said, you’d set the actuation point to the bump of the switch.
I’d be cool to see and use.
It would be an overcomplicated switch
u wannna be used?
it’d be less complicated than a regular switch 😂
what
no thank u
I do not want a tactile HE at all
I do
I want clicky too
the most clicky that can be
I dont even like tactiles on customs
and I despise clicky
the only time Ive liked clicky is when its lubed with 205g0
then its interesting
I want switches so clicky the neighbors get woken up at 5am
Yerr feels like tactile defeats the purpose of using HE switches (within the gaming context)
I’m joking but I’d actually like tactile HE switches.
Im def a linear fan boy
theres only one tactile switch I lke
TKC Dragon Fruit Switches, in collaboration with C³Equalz, are tactile switches with a bump similar to Ergo Clear switches and are less pronounced than Kiwi Switches. TKC Dragon Fruit Switches Feature: 25 included in each pack Tactile Switches Designed by C³Equalz Top Housing: C³Equalz Proprietary Housing Design Bottom
god tier tactiles
Not for gaming of course but tactiles are linear before and after the bump so it could really be handy for DKS.
I just want the next gen Lekker switches to look like this car
I want that car as a keycap.
i hope the next gen lekker switch is more like the Jade
start a go fund me and one of those useless sign the petition
im too broke to afford internet to do that
Naah I don't wanna feel a bump just before I kill shrroowwd
Ooh I need to get some
@fierce void gatteron gave me free sample switches
this is one of the free samples i got and so far i like how they feel
What clear switch is this it's tactile
nice mousepad art
could be a zeal switch?
is it pinkish or actually clear
It's a clear box switch from gatteron
Custom superglide
Not box tho
It could be a unreleased switch based on zeal crystal tactile though @quick gulch spring weight is lighter
yea could be anything really
I wised they gave me more info on the samples
But free is free
is the brass weight for the redux60 recommended on a thocky build?
um from what i’ve read it’s not completely necessary, but i know a lot people have the brass weight in here so they’ll be able to answer
its not 100% needed but worth id say, doesnt affect the sound all that much from what ive heard, i have the weight but havent tried sound test without it
just makes the keyboard feel a lot more premium and depending on your region its not a huge extra cost
not sure if that video would be the best example since its a plastic case
doesn't matter
The entire point of the weight is this, it's not to make the keyboard heavier.
it is worth it, just get it
if you allowed me to turn back time, to choose if i wanna get it, ill get it every other time
i think the brass weight helps with making it less hollow
it does
some people mentioned that it allows for no foam, and in my opinion, if you used polyfill with it, it sounds amazing
and a brass weight to allow you to use your redux 60he to brick intruders, i could say it works almost as well as pubg's frying pan
i have polyfill planning to put it in soon
i got it from carousell, they sell for like 2 dollar nia
also if i am getting gateron jades i need the long pole tx ap stabs?
if you want better stabs just go for it
oh haha thats cheap i got mine from taobao i ordered the least but came in one whole bag haha
why do i need long pole stabs tho
for gateron jades
just see if ur satisfied w ur current stock stabs, or if you wanna go all the way for it ah
idk i just got it since it's one of the most well spoken stabs out in the market, couldn't harm to try it out
anyways i ordered mine from qwertyqop, and they havent arrived lol, i ordered on the 20th december and their courier is qxpress
i think shopee would have been faster ah ngl
and, just careful when shopping for tx ap stabs on shopee or lazada, some of the description they getting you
i saw some ap being sold as rev 3
and i couldnt tell the difference between rev 3 and rev 4 packaging so fml

LOL
and that will be the start of your madness
the mark on the u is driving me mad already
oh damn
and yeah i know the fr4 plate looks beautiful
i think they got u
they asked me to try to wipe it but it doesnt work
Hey I have a question about the 60HE+ Module/the lekker 45 switches. They are compatible with cherry profile keycaps in the north facing configuration right? I just ordered one so it's the newest version if that's relevant. The keycaps that i ordered are the cement grey pbts from kbdfans and i bought the tofu redux case. Very original i know hehe
Yes.
Nice, thanks for the quick answer 👍🏻
why

WHY :(

thank you!
i have never been more curious than ever to see one keycap be delivered all the way from the US to SEA
Anyone know if the Magnetic Jade gateron switches work with the HE60+ module?
Long pole
whats the difference
You don’t specifically need tx long pole stabs unless you have issues though
