The recent delays from Wooting have been due to customer service staffing / catch-up and not product delays. Wooting innovation never paused or stopped and streamlining the manufacturing, supply chain and communications processes has only continued to improve. What used to take 6 months to turn around may now only take 4 months.

nah didn't notice that at all. But they do feel heavier than L60 AFTER the stem swap because of the increased friction

before stem swap they're definitely lighter though

honestly for pure gaming purposes I wouldn't do the stem swap again. The switches feel much lighter without this 'tight' feel

the housing. It's not to do with the lube

there's plenty of space for the lube, it's more that the stem itself you can feel it just fits tight even before you press down when shaking the key

Shipping is expensive but I know a lot of switch marketplaces selling 18 packs of switches for $14-$20… By the time you build a 60% you’re already at around $50-$60 at the lowest not including shipping. I got 70 raptor switches with shipping for $56 and that’s how I justified it - the switches themselves are actually very inexpensive for solid key switches

Keep in mind the $14-$20 dollar 18 pack of switches is usually higher end switches (not including the rare ones)

the way that I’ve done it is to take the keycaps off two switches on either side of the pcb and pull on it from the buttom so it lifts up but it definitely take a decent amount of force

If you’re using painters tape, yes you should be able to fully remove it without issues

I believe masking tape is very similar if not the same so I would assume it’s fine. Even if you do get some residue on it or something it won’t affect gameplay unless it blocks one of the switches somehow

Multiple mods you’ll start to see a difference but just relying on this tape mod, it will just very lightly change up the sound signature of the keyboard

It’s going to be tougher with plate foam, best to put the o ring on and let it sit around the PCB for a few minutes to compress the foam and then try inserting into your case

If you take plate foam out, it’s a lot easier but you may not like the sound. But something to try if you want.

Plate foam just affects the ease of inserting gummy o ring mount, that’s what I was explaining

I dont own a redux but the USB port can be adjusted and slid to the direction you need to support the wooting

Loosen it, line it up and get the PCB in there and all lined up then tighten up the screw

Well the holes in the PCB and the hole in the case haven’t moved. So it’s really just a matter of lining them up.

And the tap possibly restricting movement someway to prevent it lining up, potentially
