wooting gotta start improving their own switches
nah, not really, the targeted audience for their keyboards aren't nerding over switches
It'd make their product better tho c:
they're saving the best for the TKL version
self-lubing switches
titanium housing

mansen kinda leak that there will be a new wooting switch in the future but who knows when
Bet that will release in 2257
but im one of those audience
as if you play games, you pull your keyboard apart 10 times a day. you don't have time for games

I think once more and more competitors and what not come out they might ahve to improve
ermmm does 1k hours on valo and still shit counts
wha about skool]
no doubt there's always room for improvement, but I'm guessing it's not really high priority; not when every second youtube comment is: I'd cop if it was 75% or TKL
FR
HAHA
thats all i see
Yo I just need aluminum HE switches. NBD
you know what i need
thats one chonky gpu
but handsome
don't you get sick of playing the one game so much?
no :)
im sick of roblox though
thats why i havent touched that shi except that one time
Iām sure itās on the radar but takes time to change a switch at scale
i was gonna try cs2
Niiiice. I miss the ease of building in a larger case, SFF is such a pain in the knob
but at the moment not yet
Like for example just geon wanting to change his raptor switch top to clear option takes from now until march next year - and thatās at smaller quantities than wooting would need
I just wanna wipe out my Steam Wishlist, there's like 500+ games I'd like to play
Lights on

ew hell no
lol
I don't play that
no, but you probably should
$10 for single switch
Only reason would be because I'm interested in UE5
sff is ez
but white
Iām with it lol
exactly lol
Whatever it takes
sixge k2s or k3s
I can't wait for some gimp to hide in the grass to ruin my game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7tp4eg0ax8
Performance test of the most realistic realtime forest we have created so far for Unreal Engine 5.3. Running @4k with Epic settings on RTX4090.
- 100% procedural generated 4 sqkm map
- Photogrammetry scanned assets
- Ultra highres Nanite foliage
- Lumen dynamic lighting
- Virtual Shadow Maps
- Full dynamic wind
- Player foliage interaction
- Hu...
looks noiiice
I'll check this out hold on
what is your freind resolution and fresh rate you play on?
i found SFF first before MechKeeb
MechKeeb is more absurd than SFF lol
I believe my friend was going for 1440p @ 120 fps
because with single fan gpu you could get rtx 4060/ rtx a4000
I think he has a 6700xt
thats me!
someone gotta teach my about pc shi
i feel like im really behind
I've finally come this far
one of us, one of us
i actually can't do the stem swap though since I have to pull out my raptors to swap to other board in a month
i think opening and reswapping 61 switches twice is too much even for me
I have no ragrets
plesse tell use what is the best combo
probbably Raptor Housing + L45/60 stem
Just thinking⦠but if I end up buying gateron double railā¦. Raptor housing, l45 spring, gaterons double rail stem

I'm willing to do anything to fix the rattling shaft, but it's still a pain š
Also very curious
Switch tape the raptors?
I might do it just for wasd, although honestly the rattle feel/sound is already gone on stock raptor so i'd be just doing it for the minor wobble improvement
yeah raptor + lekker stem is best for wobble from what I have seen
better than ks-20 + lekker stem
hopefully gateron double rail is really good too
Iām down for whatever
Sound test
whenever the heck that comes out
2024 Q2 we will have near perfect HE switch
i don't think gateron double rail would fit into any of the other housings
yeah that one would have be used on its own most likely
i sent a msg to geon seeing if he has plans to improve the stem further since he was asking for feedback anyway
Why stock raptor almost sound the same as stock l45 lol
All about the stem swap
Fk
All are the same silicone oil lubricants.
nah it's not close, if anything it's phone sound not able to pick it up as easily
oh wait listening to it it's really obvious which one is the lekker lol
that rattle in 2nd switch is quite loud
second this
i think Stock raptor is enough for most people
normal people
remember when we thought Steel plate was the problem?
we got PC plate
and now we know the switch is the problem
yeah stock is honestly fine if goal is just to remove chatter sound/feel. Then you can do the stem swap if you really want even further stiffness with the stem
true
stem will always wobble as part of tolerance but the least the better
jsut make sure your keycap stem is not loose
sometimes it might due to keycap
holy shi NOW THATS WHAT IM TALKING AABOUT
ok ngl
lowkey the stock raptors still kinda hurts my ears
lekkers more shitty though
raptors
š
Ikr
I want to collect every HE switch like infinity stones
Same
it seem you like low pitch
no not that
can always lube Raptor

dumb way to put it = calck = high pitch
thock = low pitch
my build is low pitch clack sonnet
depends on goals too honestly. Like my goal with my 60he is never to try make it sound exactly like my customs because I know it'll never get there
its the chatter for me when it comes to HE switches like these
you can do a million tape and switch mods and it'll still not be close to say even a foamy zoom75 with morandis, but as long as mine is not feeling/sounding gamery plastic I'm happy
I hope the new layout wooting will make is gasket mounted š
with gasket mount you gonna need stiff plate or stand off anyway
maybe a stiff gasket mount if they do gasket
yeah it's tricky with he boards because you need some level of stiffness if you want to be doing stuff like 0.15 rt
i assume it is top mount with buttplug?
any type of bounce would be nice
like their tadpole which is top mount with tadpole instead of screw
yeah looks to be something like that. No idea when his n680 will release though since it's not even on his schedule yet
sad
i might actually have to buy Normal TKL to use first
while waiting for module
and sell module after N680 release
i think iirc they will sell Venom HE TKL pcb first
my plan was tigerlite 80 cheapie case until n680 comes out
then i just swap it over to n680 next year

yep geon said it's almost done will release late december/early jan
at worst i have to buy used Tiger80 black
tiger is gasket isnt it?
it was too long, i cant even remember now
yeah tiger is gasket
I actually am curious what wooting is cooking for their layout though. Like a TKL/75 but with an lcd screen on it would probably be very hype
like a zoom98 style but without the numpad would make an interesting tkl/75
i should get a board from qwertykeys or meletrix one day
they're honestly great 'entry' level enthusiast boards
very foamy sound but still good
Fyi it looks like geon plans to improve stem even more in the stock raptors
his response was quite direct lol
ah he already mentioned it when he was asking other day about feedback on the switches
same month with Module+
is getting a diff case necessary
No just preference
wondering if the raptors are southfacing by default?
i guess i mean if the rgb shine through is at the top or bottom when aligned with the logo
just wondering how bad the rgb interference really is
Wooting used to have 2 versions of a PCB, one had something named ARM and the old one was named something else. Does anyone know what that name may be?
Wooting also mentions this, a new MCU (Micro Control Unit) will be released around January 2024. Does this mean the wooting module will have this as well? Any way to confirm?
Link located here: https://wooting.io/post/we-have-a-proposal-for-you
That is not what we said at all. š
We've made a promise not to implement any changes that wouldn't be possible on the AVR models until January at the earliest, in order to give existing customers some assurance their keyboards wouldn't feel obsolete overnight.
And we've still been updating our older Flaretech models to have as much feature parity as possible, in spite of their older architecture. We haven't managed 100% across there, but we've pushed the chipset as hard as we could.
Thanks for confirming. To help further clarify, in this case would the module use the latest ānewā MCU that would support these future features which sounds to be released sometime in January 2024?
The Module is the exact same as the current 60HE, except for a slight shift of components on the PCB to allow for screw in stab support.
Hopefully Iām understanding correctly, but all the current Wooting 60HEās now use this updated ARM model?
Gotcha, and sometime in the future, additional features will be added such as the following in the screenshot:
if we can think of stuff that AVR cant do but ARM can yes. its no promise that there will be new features/functions
I see, that makes sense!
I was wanting to confirm to make sure the module I just purchased recently would be capable of these new features down the line and sounds like it is š
we dont make any AVR boards anymore
theres only 1 batch of AVR 60HEs which is the very first batch we ever delivered
Hi guys ive got a question. what are the alternative for molycote grease for the stabilizer? Thanks in advance
dielectric grease, krytox 205g0
don't use 205g0 for your stab outside of the housing, you want something thicker
Such as? I'm new to these kinds of thing
the recommended ones above besides 205g0 work fine. Same with xht-bdz is popular as another option
basically it's just thicker lubes that get used on the stab wires usually
So any dielectric grease is ok?
before u lube
bdz is very thick. Dont use on stabs with tight tolerances. 205 very thin. Do not use for loose tolerances. For dielectric, please dont use on stem or housing, will make it mushy. Dip the wire into dielectric, past the 90 bend. or wrap it in tape before you do for less tick
Oke, thanks for the heads up
Sick
Good Morning all
S'uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup
FUCK YOU
FUCK YOU TOO
Using my imagination that doesn't sound good
There are better keycaps you can use to match with the grey alumaze
You know keycaps from wooting are not the only ones that can fit it right?
You can also consider matrix keycaps located here https://matrixkeyboards.com/collections/keycaps
Great color options, I own 2 sets. These are OEM profile just something to keep in mind. Same profile as the wooting key cap sets
are you aware of any cherry profile ones?
all the ones I have seen are always oem
since buying with the module have discount i rather buy the whole combo
I mean i would just buy the module with the alumaze and then get a third party keycap set that I like
yeah agreed
the stock caps are ok
nothing special
You can try checking āDropā for Cherry profile/DCX (since theyāre practically identical profile) or higher end GMK sets and just keep an eye out for something that stands out
Anyone know where to find some nice purple DSA keycaps? I am coming from mintlodica DSA Magic Girls, Which are perfect. But dark magic girl is all sold out. So I'm seeking an alternative. I bought a set of normal purple keycaps and they are too tall and feel weird.
https://drop.com/buy/artifact-bloom-series-keycap-set-dark-dolch I like these for example. Iāve used them in the past. Also KBDfans sells some nice Cherry profile sets to consider as well
I LOVE YOU
ā¤ļø
Gay
š¤«
you can delete everything after .html those are media trackers
thanks
is there any other way to buy a carbon fiber plate from kbdfans? their shipping is expensive ngl
Check Ali
Isnt he looking for a plate that fits wooting
KBD fans sell cf for wooting
does it really take 14 days to deliver through their ali store? amazon prime spoiled me with their fast shipping lol
Yes
If veho doesnt update my tracking tmr
then wtf
I meant for rubber but looks like none exist š¦
man i might just take the L and order from ali
hopefully doesnāt take until december 20th lol
Oh, youāre attempting to find a Cherry profile rubber key cap set?
Very likely will. Ali express takes usually more than a month from previous purchases Iāve made
Yeah but I donāt think any exist
Itās all OEM
And no full sets that I can find
Only 41 key max
Yeah I donāt think Iāve seen Cherry profile rubberized caps before
Yeah nor full sets
Thanks. I have one on order.
what type of sound profile do you guys think the raptor he switches with a pc plate give me?
iām hoping to get a somewhat clacky sound profile
How did yall put in the gummy o ring?
Mine usb port is slightly to the right so i canāt plug in my usb
Nvm I brute forced it and it worked
u should put in the top side first so the port is correctly aligned
then slide in the rest of the sides
o I see
I just did all of them in
Like just tucked all the o ring in
And pushed it down
woah the gummy o ring actually made a big difference in sound
my spacebar sounds and feels really bnad
if i lube the switch and stabilizers, will it sound less hollow? or do i have to get new foam too
because the foam doesnt really reach the bottom of the board, im using the original foam from the wooting on the redux case
use tape and put some of it in
i just did mine rn lol
and it sounds a lot better
put some of what in
here lemme pull up the video i used
did u tapemod the pcb too?
yea i did
did u notice a difference with that?
but the tape for spacebar works if you only want the spacebar to sound less hollow
and more thocky
ehh not really tbh
yeah thats what i want
but everyone else said it was great
yeah ppl say tapemodding the pcb does nothing really
can u send the video for the spacebar pls?
its a youtube short
just put a thin layer of tape inside
dont put too much
or else the spacebar feels kinda stiff
can i use any tape
i meant the paper tape is what i used
im not use if other even works
i think it has to be the painter's tape
since its paper material
and thats what mades it thocky
watch our tape mod video
it doesnt have the spacebar one
i think
ik it has the pcb one
ooh wrong mod
totally unrelated to the current convo going on rn, but has anyone else found lube on the PCB after removing a switch? Not sure if it's because I overlubed or if weather change caused it the lube to start leaking through..?
o yea
i found lube on pcb too lol
i just wiped it off
also if your not using the wooting foam then you can try and use that
does tapemodding the pcb actually make a proper difference for wooting?
but when i tried it, it wasnt working too well lol
tbh i have tape there cause im using polyfill lol
yeah im using original foam
ah i see
wait wdym?
the tape?
nooo, the foam
im a little bit confused
i was saying, the foampad from the original case
it doesnt reach the bottom of the case
where the spacebar is
oh your suppose to push it down
meaning its like theres nothjing there, i pushed it all the way down so its kindaaa there
yeah i did, did yours end up reaching the very bottom
for the spacebar
yea
i was shaping it every way possible lol
for the spacebar?
you dont need to cover the whole entire thing
its a very thin layer
like just to cover the bottom a bit
so it dampens the sound
do you have a picture?
do u think it was pushed out of place
no because id have to unscrew it again, shoujld i just do that and make sure
im a little bit confused still
cause there should be way more than enough foam
unless your foam got screwed up or something
u sure?
doesnt thinner mean worse
how come noone uses the tofu foam and they use the original
cause its really thin
for the case
but if you want it for your spacebar
its almost perfect
case
cause if you put it in you case then every key would be different
spacebar only makes spacebar different
yeah but should i use the tofu foam for the case, or the regular
what i did when i use foam was tofu + wooting foam
so you remember the top layer of the wooting foam?
yes
i just took that and placed it on the tofu foam
since the tofu foam can cover the whole base of the case
and then the wooting foam helps it dampens
alr bet ill do that thanks
btw, do u think lubing switches and stabilizers, and pcb would help
to help make it thockier?
like because theyre already lubed, so i dont get it
yeah because ngl mine doesnst sound very good
oh yeaaa about that
the prelube sucks lol
oh wtf
they dont cover the housing and top
bettt im getting it in a couple of days
only a bit on the stem
so i had to lube my housing and everything
which helped a lot
its my first time, is it easy to like mess up bad
nah its pretty easy
if you built a pc before then its easier to not screw up lol
but it takes a lot more time
yeah i heard, thats fine tbh my spacebar sounds sooo bad man
yea get the tape mod on it
i actually think theres something wrong beacuse it doesnt sound like everyone elses
it literally sounds like its loose
it can also be the keycaps ngl
really?
yea
my spcaebar keycap
some keycaps arent meant for thocky
has 2 holes in the middle
wait what
three holes in the middle?
like 3 holes in general
i think its for keyboard alignment orsomething, makes literally 0 sense
what keycap do you have?
i have kdbfans purploch
gmk keycaps?
tbh that should be fine for thock
yea
ill take a picture of my spacebar
i put a very thin layer of tape in there
and it helped with making it thocky
ohh
but i molded it in so it doesnt feel stiff
im boutta use the tofu foam rq, gonna disassemble
ok
you can also use the tofu foam in the spacebar
but you gotta be pretty good at cutting
wdym in the spacebar
tbh ill just use the tape tmrw for that
okok
cause im gonna tapemod too, the pcb
yea tape is easier to use too
your using the tofu 60 right?
for case
Yeah redux
o
yea a major difference in sound was actually using polyfill
instead of foam
cause its an aluminum case
Polyfill?
Thatās actually hilarious keyboard modding is literally so unorthodox
yea lol
I seen ppl use Kleenex
Yeah people have put pennines and play doh in their keyboard š¤£
Itās really hard to put the original foam in place
Can I just move it to the top?
Iām tryna align it so its pushed to the bottom but I donāt think it matters
wait wdym?
yea
Iām tryna make it so the hole touches the top of the square
the foam should be on the top
Oh really?
No no Ik
for wooting
is that the top half of the wooting?
Should the foam be pushed to the top or bottom
that seems like the bottom
cause its not suppose to be that big
yea you know how theres a another piece?
for wooting
its a lot smaller
Really why?
with the tofu
cause otherwise theres too much foam
and it might overheat
and it doesnt go down properly either
Nah u donāt get it, itās impossible to use the other half
Ur supposed to peel it off and just use the bottom half
The bigger one
For the redux case
Ur case is different than mine I believe
WTT
Every video I see, ppl use the other half
The one I have in there
They donāt use both foams, they just use the original foam from wooting but peel off the top, then ditch the top
o
i see
the videos i saw said use the top
and combine with the tofu foam
and people here said that too
but ig its preference
yea i dont think you can use 2 layers of that
so just use the wooting one for now
like tofu + wooting foam?
No just tofu
nah tofu foam by itself isnt as good
yea its not possible
its too thick
you can only do it with the top half of the foam from wooting
not the bottom
i tried it before too
Damn so I messed up bad?
i mean its all preference tbh
I swear everyone just uses the original foam
i keep all my stuff
yea ig its preference
also this is what the polyfill one sounds like if you want to know
Sounds insane
burger mount or o ring in the stock wooting case?
Burger
Not sure if you can oring mount in stock case
yes you can
first/second person that did it :)
is it fair to say the steel plate that comes with the wooting 60he is comparable to an aluminum plate?
or are they different in sound profile
they're pretty close
in term of frequency and other nerdy shit
steel plate produce a higher frequency sound or whatever
or the highest
then i think its brass
then alu
pc is lowest
POM is second to lowest
no problem
Worth doing? Ima try it until my alumaze gets here
personal and some few others experiences
yes!
its really worth doing
some change back due to some other circumstances like having ceramic keycaps
but other than that
in general use its worth it
Cool Iām gonna give it a shot
alrighty
Ceramic seems good for thock
I might try those too eventually
oring?
wait what did they change
oh no
thats not what i meant
a user had a preference of having burger mount with their cera keys
rather than gummy oring
oh
maybe too bouncy
no
friction mount doesnt allow bounce
it just evens out the sound profile throughout the board
will try it out once my raptors come in
The only way to achieve that bounce is like dremeling holes into your pcb for the oring to sit on the case post
currently using cerakeys aswell
damn
or you can take advantage of the foam (like polyfill) to make the board bounce
like my sound test vids for example
like in order to do this^ is to have the foam sittig or filled above the standoffs and posts
which allows the pcb to sit on the foam and everytime you type or press down on the board it should give a little bounce
instead of the pcb sitting on either the post or standoffs
Peep the spacebar
ahh i get it now thanks
Shh Im too lazy to do holee mod
Im testing with kilmat xd
lmao
Deep clickz r what im going for
hmmm
do you guys lube the top housing on the switch?
also, when lubing the spring, do u lube both ends? and if u only lube one end, is that the end that makes contact with the bottom housing
You can bag lube all your springs together
i dont have oil
There is a video from wooting they show you how to lube the switches
Lube the bottom and top of the spring will do
okay thanks
Dont have to lube the whole thing
Always wondered how you can lubricate your lekker switches or grease your stabilizer wire. In this video, we will deep dive on different methods of lubing and some general tips and tricks. Using the Wooting 60HE.
Krytox GPL 205G0 and Molykote EM-50L lubricant:

:...
Quick question, what lubing do the raptor 60he by geon require?
I was thinking bottom housing, stem, and spring
I think just the same as the wooting one
perfect if u want a smooth feel
@fluid ravine I want to buy a detachable cable for my wooting, would you recommend to buy a third party or buy one from the wooting website?
is the brass weight bar for the redux case worth it?
i alr bought the case without it, just wanna know if it actually makes a big difference
Do you like the looks of the cables we make?
Do you want to use Tachyon mode and maximum LED brightness together?
If yes to either (or both), then you should probably consider our cable.
What does the cable have to do something with Tachyon mode?
Not all third party cables can carry a stable voltage required for Tachyon mode with a high LED brightness enabled.
If you are experiencing your keyboard pressing random keys and opening programs, then you came to the right video. The issue is usually caused by an instable amount of voltage entering the board. Follow along to see what you can do about it.

I just like the looks on detachable cable
Then you have your answer I suppose.
Then you... still have your answer š
Yes - That's the point. We don't offer what you want. So you'll have to look elsewhere.

Are there people with iso fr custom keyboard here ?
Iām planning to go back to azerty with the 60he module but I canāt find good looking keycaps even in gb (and French gmk set are extremely rare)
pretty basic but might look even better paired with WoB Essentials
or admit that you really want beige because it reminds you of your uncle, who wears the same pants everyday
I didnāt know about this one! Thank you š
Hey. I ordered the module, does it come with a case foam?
No. Why would it? It doesn't come with a case.
Your case comes with case foam if anything.
idkš¤·āāļø thats why i am asking
That means that i will have to use the foam that comes with the tofu redux?
Yes.
on the website it says "EPDM foam for aluminium cases" included. isn't that a case foam?
i mean beneath that is a comparison between the module and the prebuild, there the foam is listed
99% sure that's a typing mistake.
ok š
This doesn't mention the silicone. Pretty sure someone made a mistake at some point, and no one noticed when we lived the site.
i guess i'll wait to see xD
will wooting sell the foam that comes with the 60 he in the future?
Which foam? And for what purpose?
the epdm foam
The foam that your case comes with would be a better fit.
but wooting foam sound better tho

i am using the wooting foam on the tofu redux
it sounds better than the redux roam
Was planning to use the new module on the redux with the wooting foam
And my old module on my spare psd 60 case but i dont got no foam for it
Iām sure you can find the same foam type online
Just need to know exactly the type of foam wooting uses and you can buy the same foam from a keyboard shop
well after lubing + switch tape mod + burger + pc plate sounds pretty good
but might sell it this week to a friend and order module
not sure if I wanna re-mod tho
what o rings did you use?
like the cheap ones people put onto keycaps?
for the burger mount ofc
I ordered 50A silicone orings
5mm OD, 1mm ID, 2mm Width
1mmx5mmx2mm here
these are the thickest ones that seem to fit well with the wooting
50A durometer is pretty soft too
appreciate it, just what i was looking for!
I got these screws, to
too
theyre a bit longer
will need it for the buger mount
idk if anything 4 deg exists
redux is 7
freebird 60 is 5 degrees
These second screws are for what part of the keeb?
You dont need both
the second screws is what I used to replace wooting screws
since you need slightly longer screws to burger mount properly
The first ones work as well?
they are the same size so probably
yeah I think either is good
I got both but ended up using 2nd
GH60 alu case might be pretty flat
how come?
posieidon 60 I think is just under 5 deg
yeah those are pretty flat
and cheap on ali exp
but idk what the angle is
hard ot find info
5 I think
with the feet ofc
how about this?
I actually really enjoy the stock case for gaming
low front rise and angle
no wrist wrest needed
yeah agreed the stock case is really nice
The plastic is really nice quality
like very very nice
yeah
Cases come apart with just a few screws
Its easier to swap cases than assemble an Ikea bookshelf
What's the consensus on filming lekkers?
I currently own the tofu60 redux, and I'm considering getting the Wooting 60HE module. Does it support Akko CS Jelly Purple Switches?
better tollerances?
if so why would you swap to the wooting stem
shipping is $25?!?!?!?
they're coming to Divinikey sometime soon
Because the housing itself is tighter
And it seems the wooting stem is a tad tighter as well so when you combine the two the switch becomes really tight
did they confirm this somewhere?
hype if so
Divinikey themselves confirmed they ordered it
yes less wobble!

damn I knew the raptor + lekker stem sounded better than stock lekkers but I didnt know it sounded THAT much better
yeah less rattle makes for much better sound
though tape modding the switches that @fluid ravine showed sounds the best imo since the raptors are a little more clacky/higher pitched
but its all preference
and that mod is so tedious lol took me like 4-5 hours
and thats exactly why I wont be doing that lmao
yeah that's fair lol
and I need to relube a couple
but will be doing that next weekend most likely
tbh I've heard the stock lekkers sound really good for a gaming board compared to other off the shelf boards, but I can understand that modding and newer switches almost always sound closer to custom
idk the lekkers sound pretty bad imo
but other gaming boards being worse wouldnt surprise me
but compared to my customs the wooting was ass before mods
now its amazing
haha he ended up using it as b-roll for the commentary
yeah thats exactly what I mean, the board sounds good compared to other gaming boards but awful to people coming from custom boards,
but yeah its pretty funny
yeah
if anything I would lube switches
takes some time
but so worth
I am hype
Might be in the minority but I like the louder popping sounds
it's all personal preference, nothing wrong with that
bought some lube, foam and switch pads but prob wont even use them
might just burger mount
yeah im gonna do that eventually with a buddy (just for a little context I got the module so I dont have board yet) when them come down to my state to visit family that im also friends with. he has all the stuff too and has done it on 2 boards already.
I also hear the new batches of switches are better
and some dont feel the need to lube them
so may not even have to
I am planning to sell my wooting this week
and getting the module
but will suck to not have it while I wait for new one lol
Kind of a win win
friend wants one for a christmas gift for his newphew
so I can sell him it so he has it in time for christmas
and newphew will get a new pre-modded wooting
oh sweet
and I get an excuse to upgrade
since I do want the pcb stabs
but had no reason to have 2 wootings
1 for each hand
split ergo wooting
alrdy watched it the mixed one are so good
some more info
aw yeah
def looking forward to this
this one and the dual rail ks-20s will be very interetsing
is there alrdy some test or something out? only see people speak about it
Clack is popular still
Thock is popular for most people at first since itās the easiest to create with foam and deep switches
Then when they start experimenting more you get more people trying clackier stuff
i think the reason is the most people just like the deep sounds more but if you alrdy have 1 deep why need a sec one so you try someting else after your first deep one bc would be lame to have all sounding the same
i dont think its bc its ez
well to get good clack it's kind of rarer in a keyboard is the thing
whereas you can turn almost anything thocky by shoving foam into it, which was popularized by the first jelly
doing the reverse won't necessarily give you a good clack though
y i also think so but i dont think thats the reason why people go for thock first most of the time
well yeah i think thock sounds nice too, it's the first 'custom keyboard' sound people get exposed to
then eventually a lot of people get a bit bored of it because it becomes common among the customs
y true
got my o ring mount and my bow nicepbt set from cannonkeys. went ahead and tapemodded it too. not sure how i feel about the tape mod
i really need to clean my wrist rest lol
ah that's me. No it's not the flex, i just liked the sound on the burger mount since it was a bit more muted/lower pitch. When I went gummy, it was a bit hard for me to take out (alumaze case) and the sound was a bit louder than I liked.
So yea, it's all personal preference
The sound is more consistent on the gummy oring tho, burger you get some parts where' it's higher and some parts where it's lower.
Also, I don't really feel the flex when I use both mounts probably because the oring is too tight on mine, and I don't press really hard to feel the flex either
I would suggest you try both and see what u like š
does anyone have a full sound test of raptors with lekker stems

yeah i saw that
i meant more like a typing test with all the switches swapped
its kinda hard to tell what it would sound like from just a couple switches
ah
Veho is a joke....
hi guys does cherry style keycaps fit well with wooting 60 he?
or you have to use OEM
yes
any keycaps that have mx stems work
thats nice!
do you know any europe based vendors
i dont want to pay 40+ dollar shipping and taxes
sorry idk I live in the us
hah... my order for the red ones just shipped too.
how much is the shipping for the raptors?
24 bucks ish to east coast i think
I've heard someone said theirs was 50 bucks
61 switches would cost about 24 as well
jesus, thanks for the info
so ur basically paying the same price for shipping and the switches
maybe even more for shipping
gotcha, so its like $10 more than the lekkers
i wait for the clear ones but i feel a little bit bad inside
Lekker's are 0.57 a switch, but no shipping
yeah i had that question, wouldnt the red mess with the rgb?
yes
the rgb is significantly less bright i believe
rly would like to try the stem switching and when the lekker springs come out even with other springs will be so fun
Nix posted this, so you might be able to find the videos he posted here
i dont understand, why not just make it clear
white is more like pink than
probably aesthetics, and didn't think it through
and yes this will be done too
now ks20 gateron switches are a waste of money!
tru
i understand if the color was from the materials needed for the acoustics, but if not for that all switches should be just clear
why
I don't think it's acoustics
Rgb isnāt as popular with enthusiast boards and the raptor were originally made for geons upcoming he board
probably just thought a red black switch looked cool
and rgb isnt as widely used
Yea, some ppl want red builds
Barely makes a difference in sound while raptor he is a huge difference
raptor he is the big deal alrdy gave up that some good he switches come out
i guess ill try out the clear ones when they come out with them, $20 for the lekkers are good enough for me over the $55 raptors
If you want cheaper shipping just wait for local vendors
Guys any1 knew any good europe based keycap vendors?
there's also clear ones coming in march seems like
mykeyboard?
(Make sure you filter "in stock" at the bottom)
so might be worth waiting for those for rgb enjoyers
since current raptors kinda kill rgb
yes
Eloquent keys for eu and divinikey for us I think are the 2 confirmed vendors that will get them
but will probably go thru the same process. Release, wait for some US vendor or else shipping is mega expensive.
It honestly shouldnāt be long since they already got the raptor mx switches pretty quickly after they were released in kr
shipping isn't unaffordable but it's not really worth when they are the same price as the switches xD
Yeah itās always like that for a lot of the Asia vendors that only ship via dhl/ups
They just have a set minimum ship cost and even small light items cost a boatload. Like if you order the nice kaban keyboard case from monokei the shipping cost more than the case as well lol
I wonder if divinikeys will sell it a bit more expensive to cover the cost then
Although bulk shipping will lower their average cost
Nah they donāt pay the same cost as public
Ic
Prices should be compatible to their mx on sale now
finally finished, and lubed š
Hi, does cherry profile or oem fit on the 60he?
We sell and use both. Yes.
got my MLV foam aw yeah
quick question, will GMK keycaps work the 45L switches?
yes
i guess this answers my question thanks
yea thanks, just didn't read above lol xdd
Anyone ever tried wooden keycaps?
those are probably thocky as hell
Iām curious tbh
Feel like theyād look nice with a leather keyboard mat and the Ultraforest Fjell
Yeah Iāll be kind of bummed if the raptors make the light more dim
Already tough to see my side prints
I'd expect them to given the housing colour.
They 100% will
Riiiight
Not it
Could be ok. Or could be massively detrimental
hi pops
You better be studying for that drivers test!
Iād say it will be okay but definitely noticeable
Pretty sure thereās a video somewhere that shows it
mother FU-
Fudger?
This is the closest I can find to a color scheme I want (gengar colors) that are DSA. Kind of new to all of this. Would these fit a wooting?

Has anyone gotten the o ring mount to work with the pc plate in the redux?
The new pc plate has extra plastic on the standoffs near the tab and backspace so the o ring sticks out
it should fit in any case compatible
just squish it in
push it in
