Thanks bsenez. I am using the same FR4 plate and switch plate foam from Wooting. Difference is that I am using the stock Wooting case foam. I pealed off the top layer and just used the bottom layer (it was a little tight). In my opinion it sounds better than the Tofu redux case foam. Tried some painters tape today on the PCB and to honest I could tell any improvement in sound. For the me the FR4 plate was an improvement over the steel plate although not amazing. It also looks better with my GMK WoB keycaps.

The effect of the tape mod is fairly minor, I found that after putting on 4 layers the higher pitched pings from the switches were cut out. My modifier keys are super deep and every key sounds "poppy". Probably wouldn't go for this mod on my other boards but works great with the wooting.

i had this issue the other say

basically after tenz showed me you just have to put one side in first

and take a tweezer or something to push the oring with

and push the oring in between the plate and the pcb

and push the module down in the case

one side at a time

inch by inch until you get it in

its a little bit annoying but thats the only way i found that it worked

I would try pulling the stem up and then press it down to see if it goes back all the way up

I got my cerakeys today, one way I found you can still use the spacebar if you don't push the whole stem of the space bar into the keyboard. So just put the spacebar on and push it slightly so that it is attached. Then it should jump back normally

If it doesn't, take it apart and make sure the tape is fully flat, like everywhere. Use tweezers to press it down

You dont need to buy another set of the switch plate

unless you have the Wooting 60he V1 and need to swap it out for the pc plate
