Only analog switches can output an analog 0-100 signal. Traditional cherry style switches are stricly either ON or OFF.

The switches have a completely different design, and cannot communicate with the PCB beneath.

Our Lekker switches use magnetic sensors on the PCB under each key, these read the switch's magnet distance. No physical connection.

A traditional cherry style switch uses 3 or 5 copper pins to signal. Physically soldered or at least slot into the PCB.

Your friend is wrong, silver switches have an actuationpoint (the way you have to push a switch to activate it) of 1mm, lekker switches activate (depending on your configuration) after 0.1mm.

Beside that, classic switches have to be release to a certain point above the actuationpoint, lekker switches only have to be liftet a very small way to be able to be triggered again.

I have been typing on these north facing, cherry keycaps for about half a year. Doing customer support for Wooting for 7 hours or more a day. Suffice to say I would have noticed any tolerance issues on my end.

But I guess that just means your keycaps are every so slightly "out of spec" for what Gateron has accounted for. What set specifically do you have? Good information to have on our end.

finished lubing all the 2HE switches yesterday.. man that took like 8 hours across the two days... haha f me for getting the fullsize i guess

anyways it came out amazing! the overall sounded muted significantly (which im actually super cool with). 0 clack

I did do the bandaid mod for the stabs though and I'm not sure I'm a fan..

at first they had that mushy/bottom out sticky feeling but I saw someone mentioned online you should push the stabs down somewhat hard to wear in the bandaids. did that and it felt significantly better.. is this normal? bandaid mods needing some wear in?

before I did that I noticed occassionally my space bar would double/tripple press relatively often so there must be some sort of interference

fixed the issue. I like it better without. It did sound less clacky but the tradeoff for the smoothness wasn't worth it (I could've done a poor job but I thought it was done nice lol)

I understand there's alot of hollow space in the space bar, I've tried putting foam inside but then you can notice the space bar doesn't press all the way

Any recommendations on how to still keep the tactile feel of pressing the key but it not sound like it's 2x as loud as the rest of my keys?

It's also way worse on the right side of the spacebar.

I was battling the same thing on right shift but I gave up after 4 tries as it’s not that important of a key

I fixed every other stabilizer with just the lube. Couldn’t find any medical tape or whatever to properly stick for a holee mod so just lubed it and it worked perfectly.

Just check and make sure this area isn't bent, if it is it'll make uneven contact with the keycap. Very easy to damage and I made the mistake of not separating the PCB and plate before taking switches out.

well if you do it by putting the orings from both sides of pcb and plate beforehand you just unscrew it the next time and screw again without doing anything else but yeah... if you dont wanna do it now its best to do everything at once so you take it apart, do your mods and put it back again for good
