whats that
yeh i might get some as well
This plate is ready to ship?
what is switch films
Itās not even worth it to buy the Redux without the brass plate
They should have just included it and raised the price to $80
its an extremely thin piece of plasticy thing that aids the clackyness of the switches
yeh im gonna burger mount when i get the tofu
where do i get the o rings
and what screws do i use
Amazon, stock screws. 4mm 1mm 1.5mm
no it says on the page they get made to order
Fastest shipping ones
can u link them if you dont mind
Yes sir
I have prime
some films that you put inside of your switch to reduce wobble and make the sound better i guess
huh thats wierd... maybe see if another seller carrys them. i think i got mine off aliexpress
@mental hemlock can u link some screws too
Stock screws
you can use stock screwws
i just search stock screws?
The stock screws that come with the Wooting or whatever case you get
i will have a look around ty
you can use whatever screws your currently have or that will come with the case you order?
or is your keyboard completeltly taken apoart
no im using it now lol
im using the stock keyboard rn
yeh so you can use the screws that you have in now
or when you upgraede the keyboard you can use the screws that come with the case
ok
The Wooting 60HE is a stiff keyboard, that we can agree. So, is there something you can do to change this? Sander tries out the burger mount mod for the Wooting 60HE to see if that makes a drastic change in feel, but also in sound.

im just not looking forward to lubing the switches
ehh if you put on a show or some music its actually quite relaxing
first few switches for me were difficult just geting the hang of opening them and putting them back together but after that it becomes quite relaxing albeit its very tedious
did u buy the wooting kit
yeh i did
ill get that i guess
but you could probably find a cheper set else where but i just brought it when i brought my keyboard
just accept it will take time and dont rush and you wont brake anything
if i break any switches i can just order more right?
and the keyboard comes with 2
yeh
it was my first time and i didnt brake anyway
actually no i broke one but idk how
think i used a lil too much force taking it out
I ordered the cement gray keycaps
yeh keycaps are personal preference i got a pastel set cause ie like pastel colours
yeh i was pissed
i was hesitant on a gmk set for 150 dollar s
but it sold out before i could get to buy
im fine with my 32 dollar ones lol
as long as its double shot pbt your good
this is the set i have
Chill
If you guys check the https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1103459740186595399 it answers your questions about custom plates, films, screw length and more!
Also feel free to DM me directly or @ me and I can answer most questions
chill
those cannon keycaps are thick bois
might replace my puddings down the line with the NicePBT Cat set though
are there any good brass plates for 60he? wanna use it with tofu redux tho
You would have to have one custom cut
unlucky, ty anyway, gonna do it soon
Chill
In regard to O-Rings I would definitely go with a slightly larger size, as those ones will sink through the screw holes of the PCB if overtightened. The dimensions below gives you a much better feel during the installation:
4.5mm OD / 1.5mm ID / 1.5mm Width
Three different o ring recommendations lol
It would only add to the metallic resonance but you could offset it with dense foam beneath the PCB. Adding heft to any keyboard always feel nice though, imo
Lol. I'm willing to try the third. The 60He is definitely a challenging keyboard to make it sound and feel good. It's good platform to learn modding without breaking the bank though
is there a website where i can knock all the stops off for wooting (except lubbing) like case, keycaps, & cables etc.
also is there a usb c to usb c coiled cable available anywhere?
Kbdfans has a lot but really depends where you are, shipping is generally a deal breaker if it's too costly
And the Redux won't be ready till September so probably excludes Kbd if you need something now
nah im just looking for future mod stuff
Iām doing a non Wooting build so Iāll see what works
What for?
@south knoll Iāve always been in the Wooting discord lol
oh yeah I'm sure
but wait why does it say you aren't in the SFF one
I more mean like, I just joined here and found you also here
Because they banned me
for the wooting
I'm sure this is off top, sorry lol
I do have a cursed modding question though, anyone sawed off the numpad on a Wooting 2 HE to make it TKL successfully? :D
Even though I was stopped
srsly? for recording while stopped in the drivers seat you got banned
Itās a ātransgressionā
how tf do you have a invisible pfp
cuz man is a criminal
Iām not mad about it, they need to feel better about themselves
The power
I think of it as a good thing lol, inspiring me to learn a lot
unfair ban or not, this is the most poetic way of saying banned I've ever seen
Yeah Iām having to switch between accounts and shit so I can read up
The only question I have is how am I going to have any questions answered? Iāll have to wait or something
Itās kind of my fault, I always have to open my mouth and say some stupid shit
Which leads to me getting warnings and an eventual ban
I really liked the discord too
The ban was because I was recording a video and driving
1st video, warning. Second video, ban
Trying to make a joke about not having AC in a ārace carā
Miami
@south knoll
You get used to it with the windows down
And it gives you an excuse to keep moving lol
Stop and go traffic? Be prepared to die
Being polite doesnāt work at all
So thatās why Iām a menace instead
What car do you have?
Haha itās ok
91 - 98 miatas are the best :D
For me they take a lot of work to look good
@oem_minus on instagram has the best looking NA Iāve ever seen
PRHT
car-modding!
is one small container of lube enough to lube all 60 switches?
So long as you don't use it for 'other' personal purposes, yes.
what if i want to use it for personal purposes
jk haha
gateron orange switches. yay or nay?
imo they risk blowing up the keyboard so I opted not to but some people think it is a worth while risk given the significant performance uplift they provide
thank you for that info. i think imma return mine then
lol no
i have no idea about them
i think no one does though is the thing
awaiting some feedback from others who get them
ooooo
im too broke to be a guinea pig atm. i only bought them, because they looked cool
I wonder what they sound like
Similar to lekker same top, but slightly different bottom and stem molding which makes them sound worse. Same material comp and the older not available anymore l50 springs basically.
Thatās atleast what BigBrainAfk told me
skin irritant
30 second time bomb
Right...I guess you are the first person to review and report back
in the wooting lube guide he says its a skin irritant
i was not the one to find out
You checked first atleast
Possible
HAHAHA
feel and sound was what i read in internal discussions about the change
u guys talking about this switch?? https://www.gateron.com/products/gateron-ks-20-magnetic-white-switch-set?VariantsId=10690
Tip ! This switch is only compatible with keyboard fit lekker switch-Wooting. ⢠Stem: Pom ⢠Action travel: Freely setting ⢠Total travel: 4.1±0.2mm ⢠Pre-lubed: Yes ⢠Typing Style: Linear ⢠Spring: 20mm ⢠LED Supportļ¼SMD ⢠Lifetime: 100 million
as far as i was concerned ks20 is just the lekker with different color and spring
i was under that assumption aswell. Turns out bottom housing and stem molds are slightly different. Supposedly this changes sound and feel of the bottom out at bit (worse from what BigBrainAFK told me)
well yesnt
different stem and bottom housing geometry as well
Any1 know where I can get a Polycarb/POM plate that fits with the Wooting 60HE? š
https://smkeyboards.com/products/wooting-60he-custom-plate
As close as you can get. There aren't any fully "off the shelf" alternatives.
Our custom plates for the Wooting 60HE is perfect to improve the sound of theĀ original keyboard. Easily switch out the plate toĀ improve typing experience and sound of your Wooting 60HE. Need ISO Layout doe š¦
Can always ask if they have ISO.
trying to find if the keyboard is prelubed or not?
The switches and stabs are factory lubed. Not to be confused with hand lubing each and every part.
so i dont need to go and lube each switch. what other parts would actually need lubing?
You never NEED to lube anything. You do it because you WANT to.
And lubing the switches by hand might be worth it for you. Or it might not.
what is the difference from factory lubed and hand lubed? cause factory lubed makes it sound like i dont need to lube
Much less of it applied.
In fewer areas.
Always wondered how you can lubricate your lekker switches or grease your stabilizer wire. In this video, we will deep dive on different methods of lubing and some general tips and tricks. Using the Wooting 60HE.

i bought 2 tofu60s lol
cant go wrong with the red samurai caps. Also a great price on amazon damn... if i was in the US id oder some right this moment lol
ewhite and black
@thick mural what keyvaps are you going with? My Tofu arrives today
Feel like Iāve been waiting forever for it
Thanks, I assume the TKL kit will fit the 60% since the full kit is out of stock and don't need to pay $50 more for caps I wont use
Off white?
not exactly
pretty close to offwhite though
its the only uk iso xda on the internet
if i hadnt bough 2 expensive cases yet i would order a tofu redux right this moment... still thinking about getting a cstock unit and taking the ano off/beadblasting it
couldnt find any for life of me
Ah I see
Iād do it
yeye, the 60% is standard. it will fit
they took the listing down again... was posted yesterday
Itās like they want to get hated
First of all, that $25 shipping is bullshit
You have to spend $450 to get free shipping
no it makes sense... they havent fully finished production how can we Preoder a c strock item lol
thats why i only buy from the aliexpress store
Theyāre shady as fuck
I wouldnāt bat an eye if they went bankrupt
But too many of these guys will keep them in business
After they specifically mentioned Wooting
nah they sell good keycaps and carry so much random stuff you might need
@static tendon
Like what
Whatās the point if shipping costs more than what youāre getting lol
Might as well get everything from Amazon
Hassle free returns
the standoff kit everyone uses to fit custom plates to the wooting
aliexpress store 4$ shipping and you can buy a bnuch of modding stuff and whatnot
Exactly
Theyāre both Chinese anyways
Might as well get the one thatās cheaper
yea, im talking about the KBDfans aliexpress store
oh shit
Just got the freebird60 case, has anyone else had issues fitting the USB-C port into the keyboard with the case? Can't quite get mine to connect properly
Does anybody know of a budget white compatible case for 60he?
Submit or request a review of a case by adding a comment or posting on discord
something on there?
what would be budget for you? -> tofu redux maybe
Tofu is so beautiful in person
It does look really nice, excited about mine
Curious to see the weight compared to my GMMK Pro
thats pretty nice, thanks
fort hose who burger modded their wooting what orings did you guys use
does someone have this kind of foam on the spacebar? how does it change the sound
If you look at wooting video on it they have the ones they use in the description
But there might be better ones idk
Ok Ty
If not any silicone 0 ring with the same dimensions should do the job
This is what I did. I'm pretty happy with the result, although my office situation isn't conducive to [sound] measurements. So this is all subjective. I had fun doing the mod, and it is cheap, <$10 for the rings and <$20 for screwdrivers if you don't have those already.
What's the sentiment here on when to mod? Should I get the 60HE stock first and play with it before going and doing a bunch of mods to it?
I did play with it in the stock case a while and than modded it a bit. More for optical reasons since the sound is pretty ok for a casual user. But still, sound improved noticable.
Not a Wooting
Yow, how long do that shop ship?
The https://discordapp.com/channels/167181566978555904/1103459740186595399 has some dimensions also
100% get it first. Plan to lube but after that take it slowly
Its not a big change at all, very slight. I typically just use some putty like blue tack instead and its way cheaper and works better
the idea of putting putty in my keycap is just awkward
even if it works better...
Thats the beauty of keyboard modding! You get to waste your money in the way that feels best to you
Oooo is this just the white version of the wooting?
Metal case
white aluminum case
like shipping time? Shipping to germany is 12 days or less (usually took around 1 week)
Perfect, love to see it š
Would anyone happen to know if the wooting barebones kit expected to release sometime in august? The version with the new plate^
No wayyy, thereās another tofu60 remake??
Darn now I have to decide between the wooting case and the tofu remake š¤
yo, is there any interference with geekark bow keycaps(they're cherry profile) on 60he?
going to be used with PSD60 case tho
PSD60, Tofu Redux(redux is available only in September)
no the new gateron molds used in the lekker switches won interfear
yh i also think so
anyway thanks for the answer broski
This in-stock drop of Mason60 keyboard cases is inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken porcelain is repaired using lacquer and gold powder.Ā Rather than trying to hide the cracks, they become a beautiful feature that tells a story.Ā Ā Note that we didn't actually smash the keyboard case as we didn't want
If anyone's looking for really cool cases
The blue one was just sold actually, but Ian from Brazen Studio told me that they will probably make a GB if there's interest
https://kbdfans.com/products/tofu60-redux-kit seems like thereās plates in this kit

That plate wont work with a 60HE. Its for the PCB that comes with the Tofu
So they are not like wooting and redux that takes months?
Oh good to know thanks
they changed the inside now the redux will fit the 60HE
Talking about the plate not the case

Yes
Why did they have to make so many nice colours, I'm struggling to decide
Go full black.
been debating that myself - what brand are those keycaps?
this is my goal
waiting to get my aluminum case, but we're going in the right direction
Cherry blank blacks from Amazon
You might have better luck than me because these have been doing this
Iām on Cloud 9 with this thing bro
Itās so heavy and awesome
I've been thinking about that stealthy colourway after seeing Optimum Tech, but currently I have a dark purple case so maybe go for something lighter.
oh jesus, is that pulling your switches apart?
Some of them
noo... black on purple - great colourway
Iād love to see it
@mental hemlock what case is it? tofu v1/psd60?
Tofu V1
From @wraith ice
I'll take a few photos soonish š
Canāt trust these sound tests, keyboard is much quieter than you think
Nice, I got the PSD60 and put some wheel weights in there... wanted it to be nice and heavy https://canary.discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1126640687195099168
I think Iāll do a custom cut brass weight, would that change the acoustics at all you think?
I dont think so tbh, but I could be wrong...
if any of u are thinking of filming ur switches & have a 3D printer I made a switch film for the lekker switches if you wanted to try it -
https://www.printables.com/model/521569-wooting-60he-lekker-switch-films-mechanical-keyboa
for me it made a big difference on keycap wobble & i'd say removed some of the higher pitched noise
Long story short, this case was my first ever custom bought in 2015 from a small Geekhack GB. And absolutely hated the 60% layout so it sat for years in the cupboard. And then along came the Wooting and I brought back to life. Excuse the dust lol
Dude that thing looks amazing
holy hell that looks nice
just the keycaps
meh
but pretty noice
Cheers, I have Charcoal from Novelkeys to try on but probably won't make much difference; although I do prefer the feel of PBT
w
is that a WoW escape key?
i need 5 more mods that i wanna do to my 60he but damn its going to be forever until i get a chance to do them
It's called Radioactive Waste Prayge by Alpha Keycaps
Are you waiting for the Redux?
i want it but i dont think im plannign on getting it soon
Case Swap
Switch Pads
Films
Stabilizers
Custom Plate
are the 5 things im thinking of rn
Oh ok, aside from the case I think the only changes I've made were: Burger O-rings; Lighter springs(lubed as well as switch stems). I'm tempted to try a custom POM plate but we'll see
And re-lubed the stabs also
@fluid ravine
damn, just finished up lubing all the switching and holy crap its made it so much better sounding
oh damn
good damn or bad damn?
good damn
it sounds like a wooting lol
the chatter is gone no?
even better
its not a wooting lol
it has oil kings
again many thanks to my brother Plipps
its a "hand me down" from him lol
ah
LMFAO
I think I acquired his keyboard building skills
all it has is a burger mount and some case foam
i have to start mine from sctrach
and a PC plate
what do you need to do?
I just like having all the keys lol, I was missing V and ? before
the angle is higher than I thought though, kinda scared to go with OEM profile blanks now
dont even ;-;
@mental hemlock got a wrist rest?
haha no
we get carpal tunnel like real men
U should try it, then I think you won't have a problem š
I've got a wooden one atm
but was thinking of getting one of these (resin)
that looks sick
what lol
Well...
my gf is gona try make it
š
She's good with resin
the one above is on etsy
the keycap is pretty cool too
dont make me jealous
Hey I bent one of my switch springs while bag lubing them, is there any way to fix it?
and if i use it, it makes the switch sound clicky and scratchy as it hits the housing
For reference, the top is the regular one while the bottom one is bent and seems to be enlarged at the same time
how does this even happen
i know badseedtech said to shake the bag like it owes you rent
how many years has this mfer missed payments
i did šššš
for a minute and a half
just use another switch
yeah about that, i used the extra switch springs already
cause three in total got clumped up only
I got myself the black one. Very excited, will def toss some pics into #1070668460905988106 once it's here.
Whatās a good case that in stock/production and not insanely expensive
Iāve looked at the Tofu60 redux ($60) but wonāt ship till September
Freebird60 ($78) the shipping and batch thing isnāt updated so idk when to expect it
Klippe T ($139) though shipping is an extra $40
the psd60 is in stock and shipping
iāve heard thatās a good one
iām looking between the psd60 and the klippe t
which should i get
Just know with the klippe T youāll be waiting up to a month till shipping. But quality is top notch along with packaging
I just like how sharp the Tofus corners are
hm, is double-shot PBT keycaps's profile OEM or Cherry?
double-shot is the way they are made. They have 2 molds and inject 2 different plastics in the cap
OEM and Cherry are both profiles
double shot vs dye sub
left you can see 2 colors of plastic on the inside
where on the right only 1
dye sub letters can wear off where double shot both plastics will wear together
the wooting ones are OEM
why is it that the wooting uses the univeral mounting system but not some sort of univeral plate design?
because they need the plate to be very rigid for the analog sensing
i see. that makes sense i guess? so when modding this keyboard flex would actually be a bad thing then?
whens details on the wooting alum
Oooh shit, can't wait to see it
Do you know if it's possible to get Cherry profile rubber keycaps? I only need two R4s, but I'd buy a set.
But V, tattoos wear off
Who's the editor of the compatible cases list btw?

You? Or?
I add to it. But I did not originally make it.
Ah
Well, I was wondering if you could add the Brazen Studio 60% cases then... all the 60% designs are based on the same mold so there should be no compatibility issues at all
I'll need links and photos. I don't add anything "blind" š
Mine for reference
And there's a link
Any mods needed or notes about fitment?
It just fit, nothing of note. They come with screw holes for standoffs which you will have to screw in yourself, but the standoffs (and extras) are in the box
that pipe wrench just chillin
Haha yeah I've been working on a lot of stuff in my gaming room
I think it's starting to come together nicely though. But I still have a lot to do
Moving in a month... after about a year. So I gotta re-do all of my office yet again š
That's an oof, but also a moment of opportunity
For sure - Definitely an opportunity to get rid of some of the stuff I thought I wanted, but maybe haven't actually touched in years.
Like my collection of WoW collector edition boxes. Or my 3 retro macs, or my 4 XBox OG's š
For me, my house is basically all simple, sleek nordic design, I wanted something less modern for my gaming room so it would become a better room to just chill in
So instead of the usual gamery aesthetic I went vintage
Picked up some lovely furniture for it
Aside from my motorised desk, everything is IKEA shelves. Simple, cheap and super handy š
That's the thing, everyone want the sleek modern stuff (IKEA) so they give away this crazy beautiful and detailed old furniture
It's free real estate
I used to do a lot of hardware reviewing, so my shelves were full of motherboard boxes and such. But that's a bygone era at this point š
100%
So many good deals if you visit second hand charity stores.
Even just any 2nd hand market, like Facebook marketplace
Picked up this cabinet for free
Put a cool lamp in there (which wasn't free unfortunately)
š
Gotta drill a hole in the back for the cable but it's so cool honestly
Roughly my office as of two moves ago. Hasn't changed drastically except more keyboard stuff, less PC hardware.
Here's a pic before I put it in the right place, you can see the other cabinet I picked up for 70 USD, and the sewing machine table I picked up for free
I love the items you have on the shelves
That actually kinda goes hard
The lack of wood accents tho
(can you tell I've been converted to the wood faction)
I love the old hardwood look. Just very hard to find multiple matching shelf units that aren't expensive here.
Decorators keep hunting for stuff like that for house showings.
Rest of the office as of last cleanup š
Ah you want wall mounted shelf units?
I have cats. It's safer
That's pretty modern... might only find wooden floating shelves if you look for like 70s shelving units
The floating ones were mostly for the keyboards. The little slit cutout that's intended for photo frames works wonders for keyboard displaying as it turns out š
Yeah that might be hard to find. Where are you located again?
The Danest of marks.
Ah, same here lol
PINK! >:C
I'm afraid not. Most keyboards don't have shared cases you can swap between.
The 60HE is a bit of a unicorn in that respect as the keyboard community adopted a design pretty universally.
yeah but i can never use 60% i cant without my fullsized
We DO offer the design files for the 2HE case however, if you know someone who works with that stuff, and could adopt it for metal or wood. Not a small feat though. Or cheap š
probably 1k$+
i heard u are going to release a metal case for the two he somewhere this year?
has anyone done the band aid mod and was it worth it or does it not make a huge amount of difference
It helps a ton if you happen to know someone who's at engineering college, with knowledge of and access to CNC machines and such š¤£
and if so is it possible to just buy the case alone?
No that's for the 60 I'm afraid. As our competitor to other alu cases.
Hey guys where to find the compatibility case list for Wooting 60HE ?
alright thanks
thx @sand oasis
np
Either way, I found all my furniture on marketplace and DBA. There's a ton of stuff there, you might find something you like. Just a tip -if you see something you like on marketplace save it immediately! The search function is so garbage there, and if you don't save something you find cool, you'll probably never see it again, even if it hasn't yet been sold.
The Copenhagen area is where most of the free stuff is
Good thing I'm moving there then
If you want extremely cheap, sleek modern, say, kitchens, or something like that, the rich areas around Copenhagen are the place to look. We got an amazing kitchen with integrated fridge and dishwasher, oven, stove, for so little money
Rich people just buy a house for 20mil kr. and proceed to buy new custom kitchens etc.
They don't care about money so they just sell amazing stuff for so little

@bronze grove bro monıtor arm š¦
I do have one now!
nice
https://www.arctic.de/en/X1-3D/AEMNT00062A
This one to be exact.
Got my self some g205 from Amazon, but opened the container, and itās a bit separated.
Do I need to worry about that at all?
Or just mix it up?
My old G204 that I used last time mixing with some 1514, have no separation after years on the shelf.
mix it up
separation depends on both materials so the carrying liquid and the PTFE particles
aslso 205gX and 204gX
g205 and g204 would be logitech model numbers
Ok TY
if it doesnt remix u should be worried
but usually a good mix with scraping the bottom and corners etc makes it completely fine and as it was in the factory
so real question: lube station or just one by one lubing
Not exactly a keyboard mod per se, but I'm in the process of making a wrist rest. Takes a lot of time because I wanna do it all manually.
hope that woods nice and dry
Oh it's the driest wood I've ever worked with
The log I've used for this has been stored in the workshop for over a year
The plan is to coat it with some Danish oil once I get the dimensions I want
lubing switches might help... but there isnt really a way to avoide the metallic sound when the plate material used is literally metall. (maybe some palte films like these)
The little bit of extra reassurance that these do, in fact, fit the 60HE perfectly is nice to have š was only like 99% sure otherwise
yet another thing i will have to add to my keyboard
Yeah I took the chance as well lol, might've been the first 60HE owner to go for a Brazen case haha
The website says 5-8 day shipping
Though itās $40, and I canāt seem to choose a diff shipping option
What do you think about the Tofu Redux
What mods did you use with the Mason60? This is gonna be really my first foray into custom keyboard land, and while I'm not going in fully blindāI've watched an ungodly amount of keyboard youtubeāthis particular case is new to me as of a few days ago when I saw that first insta post about the kintsugi run.
Honestly not much yet haha, I really like the sound
well that's encouraging~
I put some PE packaging foam underneath the included cork dampening. I've considered going kilmat to see what's up, but I'm still debating on that
It's a hard material, so it reflects a bit more higher pitched sound back than the original wooting 60 HE case, but the sound somehow has a better quality to it at least imo
planning to get some Cerakey V2s some time when they're out and I recover from having already spent like $400 on the 60HE and Mason60, and L45 switches for everything except maybe the spacebear (since the cerakey one is so heavy), but aside from that I've not got anything else planned out just yet.
Are you looking at the EU site or Com? If itās the global store or .com itās up to a month because itās made to order now. EU site I have no idea about. Now the Tofu Redux is the best bang for your buck probably the best deal youāll find for an aluminum case as of now.
And yes the $40 dollar shipping is pretty steep but in this keyboard business and being in the US thatās almost normal. I pay any where from 20-50 for shipping on average for keycaps or cases thatās being shipped express from china or Europe
ceramic keys? Sounds expensive
So far I've been fine with the L60, but I had cherry MX Browns before which is also around that
I was thinking of going L45 for a bit, but I think the 60's felt too heavy because of my lack of wrist rest atm
Once I've finished crafting this wrist rest I'll see if that was indeed the case lol
Does that mean 3-5 days on top of the month wait?
where can i buy these things?
Yepppp if I recall correctly the v1s were like $150 or something, pretty pricy. But worth to me; I like those sorts of novelties, cherry profile + deep thock sounds like a match made in heaven to me, and I loooove the texture of ceramic
should be yes as that is only the delivery itself
Also, I saw this on google when I was looking up dimensions for my wooden wrist rest, maybe you'll like it @teal quiver https://shopee.ph/Wooden-Keyboard-Wrist-Rest-Made-from-Mahogany-Wood-Various-Sizes-For-Different-Sizes-of-Keyboard-i.109738157.11275588994
You might be able to find something similar (that isn't sold out)
It could take that. But from experience and talking with individuals from the discord you should receive it within a month. The most Iāve seen was a month and a half. Including shipping times.
So if itās going to take a month+ should I consider just preordering the Tofu Redux as itās way cheaper and will be shipped out in September
Depends. Anyone considering the Klippe T or Fjell is going for better quality now if you want the better deal Tofu all day
yes
but thats just a disclaimer, you'll get it within 2 weeks
The Klippe T looks like itās a very tall case but very nice and the Fjell is too expensive for me
Also do you know anything about the freebird60
Cause the shipping is outdated for their batchās
And Iām thinking about getting a white case with these key caps, though I might choose something else, not sure.
klippe t is 8 degrees tofu is 7 wooting is 5/6 iirc
i opted for the fofu redux cause i couldnt justify the price on the klippe
Yeah makes sense
So u preorders the tofu redux?
yeh now i wait till september unfort
but the klippe was almost double the price
i got it white with the brass weight
but get a colour that matches your keycaps
What does the brass weight do
just adds weight
Is that worth $25
are there problems with the wooting with the trigger point if you put plate film on it?
oh i see what you meant
theres black as well if you want
i thought you were asking what colour i got
I did
I think Iāll go with white, cause I want something refreshing. Though u think I should not get the ones I sent and instead a white set
What would u go with, Iām curious
i like white with pastel colour accents
So kinda like this?
Oh ok
this is the set i have wihtout the japanese letters
that looks like the worse version of my keycaps
Cool
they are not the best but the first picture i found
I might have to order a wooting and the white tofu redux case today
i should have got the gmk hazakura when i had the chance š¦ they are so nicceee
wooting is defo worth if you play lots of fps
im not sure you can find some on amazon
but make sure its pbt dye sub
or double shot pbt
Yeah
I do
backlight does make a slightly worse sound as well so i wouldnt get backlight
movemnt on csgo got a lot easieer when i got my wooting
Backlight as In pudding?
like the shine through
I play Cod, Val, Fort
where the letters light up with the rgb
yeh i have mine off on the wooting
I might have to sell my other keyboard to afford this but idk
Because if I keep it I can try the topographic keycaps
Aliexpress for example, wooting also sells a switch lubing kit
What would be ur thoughts on an all white ceramic keycaps
Do you guys think your first custom is like a gateway drug to other customs?
Yes
What color?
Black finish, my GMMK Pro is in silver so I thought iād switch it up
I canāt recall. Iāve had them collecting dust for quite some time now, considering I was still debating between keyboards
I've already got a list going of other things I wanna play with on other customs... So, yeah, at least sometimes.
Theyāre a clone of the 100T x Higround keycaps
Ok
Damn nice
Iāve got literally everything on hand just waiting for the 60he to come. Then the fun begins.
I light just do another blank keycap build but in gray
Collect all the blank keycap colors
Itās really fun bro I just got my first custom yesterday
Kind of hard though lol
Iāve got 2 customs already haha, 60he is gonna be my first āgamingā board after almost 7 years.
100 space lmao
Matches my batch š¤·š¤§
Regardless fake or not, it will still be a dope cap set
yea they still look great
I'd love to try a 75% and a 95% at some point, thinking maybe a really coding-optimized build at some point in one of those sizes that's got a cozy feel for typing above all else, I'd like to have at least one clicky alongside what I think will be an army of linears for me, soooooo many pretty keycap sets out there I'm gonna have to do triage deciding which ones are sane to get...
look into teacaps, trust
Thatās what my GMMK is for, nice little coding build, and then the 60HE for all miscellaneous usage
I donāt like ceramic keycaps but you can try the@ out
Yeah, 60HE long-term I wanna make my gamerā¢ļø/generalist board. Not exactly sure yet what I'll do for a coding board, but I've got a few things to look into once the time comes 'round.
HHKB blank black edition?
does the wooting 60he come with foam already? so when I swap cases shouldnt worry about buying new foam ?
Yes and no
yeah there's foam already
Our foam may not be the best match for some other cases.
Is the lube and switch tool set good value or should I look to get it someplace else
Can you take the picture in a straighter angle
From the front of the keyboard
Can't tell if it's a warp space bar or the module being screw more the the right
yeah
We all have it for sure
Try screwing the left side a little more
But if it's at max then loosen the right side
Personally I only use the top left and right and the bottom screw
might need a space under the side screws
Is the lube and tool set worth it, or is it easier to buy everything separate. Sorry for asking the same question, mine didnāt get answered the first time
has anybody made their own strap for the 60he and have suggestions on where to get them made?
i saw the measurements! i have friends i wanted to design it but didn't know if anybody had any places they trusted on actually making em
its a solid set with everything you need in it. If its delivered in a reasonable time frame, get it.
Just get it
Everything
Is there
W
lmao š
Anyone have a wood case that works well? Never done any modding and read some things about certain cases needing to be sanded - want to avoid that if possible
https://www.keychron.com/collections/all-keycaps/products/cherry-profile-double-shot-pbt-full-set-keycaps-black-on-white-bow
these ones are double shot pbt and will last longer
Double-shot Cherry profile keycaps. The keycap is made of PBT material with a double-shot production method, making it oil-resistant, durable, and long-lasting. The legends on the keycap will maintain their original state much longer than many of their peers.
they are like double the price tho
whats the best case for the wooting? (on a budget)
while I'm not really equipped to answer that question, it might help to give a number for that budget š
Poseidon, Tofu Redux, or Freebird60 from what I have found
https://drop.com/buy/drop-skylight-series-keycap-set/photos#photos anybody know if these will fit the 60HE, I know they fit the 2
Yeah
Does anyone who's done a custom plate from SMKeyboards have extras of these? https://kbdfans.com/collections/keyboard-part/products/kbdfans-m2-3-countersunk-flat-head-screw-kit
Includeļ¼ M2-3 Flat headĀ x13pcs M2x3 Countersunk head x13pcs M2-3.5Ā Copper nickel plating Screw posts x13pcs Because it is packed by machine, if one is missing, it is normal, usually there are 13 in each package. Works with the following keyboards D60 D65 Boop65Ā (hot-swap version) KBD67 lite R1 Melody65(hot-swap version
The shipping is so expensiveš
Ong š
big fan TenZ
was just gonna ask if anyone did the smkeyboard plate swap
if you can wait aliexpress has it, and divinikey(us vendor) has it too although out of stock rn
get it from ali/taobao
tigeliteshop has it too for $19 shipping where i am, not great either but better than kbdfans i assume
Welp I hope they have absolutely no problems when i install them into my wooting once I lube them I have pcb switch pads btw and got them to work in my current wooting build with no sacrifice to the full integrity of the 4mm travel distance actuation
I used switch pads they go under the switch and pcb and made it work keeping full 4mm actuation at 0.1 and 4mm
they should work but im unsure why youd spend almost 70bucks on 35 switches
After seeing that massive stone case, I've been thinking about resin cases
Too bad that seems like most of them are single colour, not much interesting layering
Itās 2x 35
sorry still like 1usd per switch
But still thatās pretty expensive for switches
pretty sure we come out to like 50cents or something
70switches for 35bucks
and a lighter spring lol
lololol
hes got the money for it i dont
maybe theyre better and we dont know yet
i mean this isnt even a money for it problem. this is basically getting ripped off for switches
pay twice as much per switch and get slightly heavier switches
lets see
I mean if you want to spend you money just to realistically change the color of the switches I guessā¦
well i persaonally havent felt what gaterons switches feel like since they did change the mold for bottom housing and stem. and when we noticed this internally calder just mentioned it felt slightly worse and scratchier than our original molds
I donāt think this will make a difference then if you lube them properly but idk havenāt tried them either
well form what i tried especially at wootup lube doesnt fix everything
i wish it did
Might not be so wobbly. Their email support might reply in less than 1 month too.
Might be worth
Iāll go buy some
Ye idk trying them is the only way to find out I guess
so you want no wobble over scratchiness... good to know i shall share this internally
Lube tends to fix
Canāt fix the wobble so easy
But if a problem like that does come around, I prefer reasonable reply times over whatever woofing got going on
pretty sure we got that back under control now that basically half our company is customer support people only
I think wooting is more concerned about the stock performance then modded as Iād say 99% of people donāt mod their keebs.
(Which makes sens)
Not that Iām against the idea of minimizing wobbleā¦
were concerned about both actually
Think a big selling point for wooting60 is modding
Never heard of their other board
Considering the ultra enthusiast kinda market that Wooting has utterly dominated, I'd say a good lot more than 1% of Wooting buyers are modders
For modders? Sure. For the remaining 99% of 60HE owners? Not really.
Ur email reply times are embarrassing. Speed it up
Entirely unrelated but okay
Yeah Iām charging back ššššššš
wtf just happened
?? is it broken or something?
who knew a customer who waited 2 months to get the board wouldnt wanna wait 3 more weeks for a reply on email
would be kinda crazy if you did a full chargeback if it was a working product
You're more than welcome to throw me your order number, and I can take a look. But if you do make a chargeback, that is a nuclear option on your behalf, and it will definitely not help resolve any issues you may have.
thatās nice to know
i might do the same then
oh wait, this isn't yours?
did you note any difference from it though?
iām also gonna get the pom plate from smkeyboards
didnt think they would lag on me for this long now im getting frustrated
ah
honestly, with my experience with hobbyist grade products and small companies and whatnot, its more likely than not the courier that's screwing with you in the end, but suppose you'll find out
ordered a sleeve to make the shipping faster
I should be getting my Pom plate today aswell. Mine was significantly cheaper tho
You look?
My colleague @glossy pagoda looked into it. Since you bypassed our return procedures, it is not easy to track down the return. He's following up on it.

where did you get it?
I know this is a little bit out of left field, but I'm curious:
What does Wooting do with returns?
I seriously doubt there are many (because it's such an amazing product š ), but I also know it can be really difficult to reintegrate a return back into normal stock, especially if it's been opened.
30 day (on delivery) no questions asked returns. You pay shipping back (we have a system you access with our help)
We have a 30-day No Hassle return policy for our products that are purchased directly via our storefronts. This article explains the details of this policy.
We dont reintegrate returns BUT we do check if they are still sellable and nice and if they are they get put into B-Stock for garage sales which we usually have once a year or so
That's pretty cool, I didn't know they existed. Probably not available in Australia though š
so anyone can participate
last years garage sale we found a few more lekker keyboards from our limited 1000 keyboard production and sold those in the sale as well
I know some dude that cuts me plates like ps Pom or pc pretty cheap
Are there any plans do do one this year again/ when are these usually
was looking into milling an aluminium case for the wooting two. any idea where I can find stl files or similar?
yes sec
Perhaps during Black Friday but no promises - takes a lot of prework to get set up and we've got other things to focus on
much appreciated, will take a look
you still need to modify the file as the screw in posts are designed for self tapping plastic screws
Understandable, how were prices on these sales usually handled? Do they get determined by the condition and stuff and is there like a baseline for the prices (e.g. base price 20% of)
One price per product, all products are at the very least "good" or better condition, vast majority are either "excellent" or "pristine"
for me personally it was that white stem on white pom blanks, any color on a stem (lekker) was pretty ugly
good to know
Unless you're using completely blank, see through keycaps - how would you ever know š
also the spring but thats a more minor reason and i doubt anyone that isn't me would care much
so a 50cN spring is more preferable to a 45 or 60 to you?
Finally modded my wooting! Wooohooo
I love it and cant wait to game with it
what keycaps are those?
Upcoming wooting one is 4 degrees for one of the feet options, lower than that I think perhaps only a lower profile one from aliexpress might be lower
nah wooting one as in their own alu case for the 60he is releasing
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/984799440072220692/1097821144284921936/image.png - believe the final version is black though
Not until they are fully finalized and ready for order generally.
I think it's like.... 4-5 degrees without case feet.
it would since default is 6 degrees
Similar to tofu
glue it to the desk
TAI-HAO
You can't have your cake and eat it too š
The stock case is designed to be as low as possible, but it requires some amount of vertical space in order to have structural integrity as well as the necessary mechanisms to fasten the components together including the silicone feet
The Alumaze60 is designed with the same principles, but my assumption would be that it would be higher than the stock plastic case on the basis of manufacturing technique
Indeed a decent budget keycaps
Yes.
I am even louder then my metal case..it really doesn't say much
tba +/- tba

Is it supposed to compete with the likes of psd60 price wise?
any second now im sure of it my tofu redux will be deilvered
Lol
Tofu redux is even cheaper
Yes Iām aware of that and I donāt think wooting can compete with that pricing. Thatās why I asked if it will compete with the likes of psd60/tofu60 (old one) as it was the relevant case when we first heard about the wooting case
i have some sus on why the redux is so cheap with a brass plate
its not even remotely close to the price of a fjell

Fjell and itās weight are harder to manufacture because of the slanted sides and weight designe Iād say. and I donāt think mekanisk sells the same amount of cases kbdfans does
85$ for case with weight is reasonable, I wouldnāt have high expectations for the ano or ecoat tho
Please let me know the material of the plate and foam that will be more thock.
Non metallic plates like pc, Pom and cf
@normal schooner i thought it will be over 100 bucks then i saw the price i was like they are joking
ty i'll try pc and pom
Guess weāll have to wait and see where tho
i see someone else is complaining about customer service
Hello keyboard gods Iām trying to find an aluminum case(in black) like the tofu60, you guys know any??
Hmm, thought i read somewhere that the Wooting stabs come preclipped.
Is it changed, or is my memory just bad?
Tofu Redux, Poseidon, or Freebird60
The Tofu Redox is in production and available for preorder but doesnāt start shipping till September
And All the information about shipment batches for the Freebird60 are not up to date last time I checked
Could you give feedback wether the stickers dampen the sound or change it in any direction? Thank you
Well, Iām doing quite a few mods at the same time, so will be a bit hard to know what exactly does what.
Also, Iām not using the steelplate, got a FR4 plate, so sound profile will be hard to translate over to steel also. But I did a sound test before starting, with iPhone camera. Wonāt be the best comparison, but better than nothing
no i heard that aswell in a lot of reviews... guess it just wasnt true or has changed since then...
They apparently changed lubing after May, I believe. But lubing still made a huuuuuge difference. But seems they arenāt clipped anymore. At least mine arenāt
i dont think mine were clipped either... a early batch so i cant really remember anymore
I don't believe they are pre-clipped. But swapping to the Durocks didn't really change anything for me.
Wonder what issue people are having that makes them want to clip off the stab legs.
Modding videos encouraging the practice? I vaguely remember seeing those a lot when I was modding me 60HE almost a year ago at this point.
Going in blind, trying to figure out what mods were appropriate for a 60HE.
here i hoped youd know
I mean there have been a few youtube videos from years ago where someone said clipping the legs off their stabs fixed some rattle issue they had and then other people started thinking this was something they needed to do too. None of this is wooting related but its just like people who saw a video saying they needed to turn around their keycaps because of interference and that isnt the case for 99% of keycaps out there.
Clipping the stabiliser legs can help reduce the sound of the stabiliser hitting the PCB. Its just become common practise to do it even if it only helps a tiny bit
That's my point. A lot of things that have become "common practice" shouldn't be. In the last 2 months alone in this channel 3 people have posted that they clipped their stab legs and now they sound horrible and are rattling. Two of them weren't trying to solve a problem, they just did it thinking it was something they should do.
I've been in the hobby forever and while there has been tremendous positive change in the last few years there is also a lot of negative stuff. Modding for modding sake is fine IF you understand the risks.
I usually find the opposite to be true (I know that's what you're saying too)
:)
this is my experience aswell. altho clipping stabilizer legs has been one of the mods that i do very often. I mostly work with genuin cherry clip in stabs + c3 wires and they dont sound good without clipping. I personnly also have not had the case where a stab sounded worse after clipping then before.
I don't follow a lot of streamers but Alexotos has been refreshing. He also preaches less is more and don't buy into the expensive modding hype.
The stabs were never clipped to my knowledge.
could have sworn i heard it somewhere tho... Maybe a mandela effect
im a tarkov player, maximum copium already reached
im a starcitizen player... do i need to say more
hahah
Likely false memory. I never heard that a single board came preclipped.
I have one unit of each type and none is.
clipping the stab legs were initially for cherry stabs that has like a plastic "suspension" system built in
from the pic above, it doesn't look like they have this? just some legs that sit flat
if so... clipping would be pointless
I'm using FL CMMKs so not sure
cherry on left
Saw some peeps say why spend that much money I mainly wanted to try a different switch rather than the wooting lighter switch they released recently I wanted to have a faster switch that was roughly a little more heavy than what wooting was putting out as their light switch the white color is my favorite and I was curious if having a solid bottom housing would make the switch more thocky
My favorite ones are "Hey guys got my Wooting 60HE and I changed the case, put 5 layers of tape mod on it, poured silicone in the case, did the burger mount, bought new stabs, clipped my stabs, did holee mod on them, added films to my switches, installed switch pads, replaced the PCB foam, changed the springs, changed the keycaps, lubed my switches and stabs, turned all my switches to south facing, reinstalled everything and now Im have an odd ghosting issue with my key presses and it sounds like crap. Any idea why?"
You are correct.
Only ran into one issue when putting switch pads and fixed it but yes I pretty much did all those mods except changing stabs and switch film and hole mod and silicone
Ahh now youre ready for a custom plate and switching to gummy o-ring mounting
Did you use metal screws or upgrade to nylon screws to reduce vibration?
The job is never done!
fill the keyboard with sulfurhexafluoride to deepen the sound
Donāt go on a tirade!š„
Iām doing quite a lot of mods at the same time.
If it doesnāt end up working well, then Iāll remove some.
For me, itās no rush what so ever really. Like Iām not stressing it.
Itās just fun to try some of the newer mods that was not a thing really when I did my last keyboard like 5 years ago.
Back then, hotswap switches werenāt really a thing, so had to solder and stuff, and most of the focus fell on that.
I just really didnāt like the typing feeling on the Wooting, when I went from a lubed and sounddamped MX red keyboard.
So weāll se how it ends up in the end.
But I do believe that a lot of the mods are snake oil really.
Itās like with audiophile stuff! Some things are just not really gonna do anything.
But a lot of mods also cost like nothing really. So buying a few pads and stuff, if you gonna lube it anyway, is not gonna crush your bank account
Yeah I encourage all the modding! Hell Ive done them all and wrote the FAQ, but I also encourage doing them 1 by 1 to see not only how it affects the sound/feel but if you like it or not. Also things like clipping stems becomes a physical mod that screws with your warranty so I tend to discourage hobbyists from doing those mods unless they absoutely are trying to solve a problem.
I clipped mines š„²
How much wood would a Wooting wear if a Wooting would wear wood?

Sorry no engles

Is there any reason to get the brass plate for the Tofu Redux?
I know it adds weight but is that all
Why does weight matter so much
Uh
Does it just make it feel better quality
That's one
But Iām not going to be picking up the keyboard that much
And shipping is $25 so maybe no plate
Good choice
Almost forgot how to spell choice
And grammar is falling off the cliff as I typed that sentence
shoishse
Yeh
Yeah*
F
This is the only place I talk in this server how great š
Probably the only server I talked in the most
Yeah, plus u can buy the small square weights to put in it
Itās not like the case is translucent
Like instead of the brass weight, (yeah)
Canāt wait to drop soo much money and not get anything to show for it for months
Cause the Tofu Redux case is going to be a long wait
Beautiful
š
These should be the same switches anyway. Only the spring should be different.
The rest should be only the custom color.
WE'RE ALL GOING TO BE BROKE YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Buy a tofu v1 b stock and spray it purple, $25
Oh they all sold out now
š
C on the keyboard end, yes. Comes with a C to A cable, but you could swap it for a C to C.
Burgers and tofu?
Whoās gonna cut off the strap with an angle grinder?
That would leave you with a very weird angle.
Interested in a metal case and overall just making the keyboard more quiet. I'm coming from Zilent 2.0 switches so I'm not used to much noise. Any thoughts on Freebird vs Tofu Redux case and what else would be important to reduce noise (especially any pinging) I'm assuming it's mostly to do with lubing properly?
No one can provide feedback on redux yet as its not available for a few months. As for reducing noise, lubing is a big help and you can play around with different dampening materials as well
Sweet that's sort of what I expected, I'll grab the freebird case for now and a syringe of lube, I don't have the tool to take apart switches either so probably need to pick that up
Just case swapped my Wooting š¤š¼ just waiting on the new Lekker switches to come in so I can swap those out!
Is the Wooting hotswappable?
With other Lekker switches? Yes.
The Freebird60 website doesnāt even have any updated dates from what I know
If u order it could u perhaps tell me how long itāll take to ship if thatās available
Is it me, or do lighter springs generate a more clacky/higher pitch, and heavier springs are deeper/thockier?
Anyone know of a 60% PCB with a 1U right shift?
Also I finally understand why people say sound tests are a lie
My keyboard (not a Wooting) sounds much quieter than in video
nice, what cable coils are those?

thanks! all the ones I use are from Glorious

My first day touch typing
thanks appreciate it
Yeah, It was odd text, and I was sitting really strangely, so it got a bit awkward š
Still a zolid sounding keyboard you did great
Use .5 zoom if you can next time as well
Sound doesnāt really make it justice on the videos tbh. iPhone mic aināt the best. Really big difference in feel and sound irl.
But itās clear that a steel case with some sound dampening would make it a lot better
Oil Kings, Tofu 60
