ive been using the wooting for a while my old keyboard i htink was 7 degrees and idk for me it just feels a lil bit more natural for how i wrest my arms and hand when at my pc

Anyone know if cerakey keycaps will play nice with the L45 switches? Would love both but worry about the weight of the keycaps making the lighter switches return sluggishly or improperly.

Cant recall the name but another user reportet the cerakeys ceramic keys as stem damaging. You can apply them only a few times before they wear down the stem of the switches to a point where no cap fits anymore

Aware of this. A little something on the outside of the stem, like plastic wrap or smth, has done the trick for some people I've seen talk about it, it's what I plan to use.

Also I've seen them talking about updating with plastic stems but idk if those are in production rn or not, can't easily check rn

i did the advanced lubing i think they call it in the video

its not hard at all, hardest thing for me was putting back the switch together but once you get the hang of it its reaally simply

its just very time consuming and getting each key sounding consistent was a bit tricky but i enjoyed the process

only thing id say to do extra is to lube the housing in the stabalisers which im pretty sure they dont do in the video, try it without and then depending on what you like you can lube the housing

Was thinking about getting a Tofu60 Redux Aluminum case, but then realized I might like acrylic sounds more. But at that point, how does it compare to the stock Wooting case?

the bottom out force, compared to wooting 50g and the white ks20 50g is identical

it will feel "snappier" for the orange though

as the wooting 50g and white ks20 are both supposed to start travel at 30 grams

this orange one starts its travel at 38 grams

20g vs 12g difference for the whole travel range is quite the massive difference and I can feel it as someone who is new to this hobby

unfortunately its hard to explain, the best way to get it is to feel it

This might seem like a weird question, but how different is the stock 60HE typing experience vs the stock Two HE?

because I used to have a Ducky Shine 6, and got the 60HE for osu (smaller is good so I have room for my tablet.)
I switched back and forth between the two because I still preferred having a full size keyboard for work, but the 60HE was just so much better than even a reasonably premium mechanical keyboard - which is why I ordered the Two HE.
What really surprised me however was that I still preferred the 60HE even over the Two HE.

and I mean, now that I have the Fjell for the 60%, there's just no contest.

Yes taking the switches out are hella hard but the easiest way to do it is just taking apart the pcb from the plate and switches
Then pulling out the switches from there
Honestly it's fine if you use force
And for the plate swap you gotta get yourself a custom one. Try to find a stiff material so that the sensors don't get messed up.

So with KiCAD I had to remove the outer square (so nothing on the PCB itself). Which is fine and was required for me, but stupid me decided to also get rid of the tiny screw holes for mounting the PCB and plate together Theoretically should still be fine with the foam and the switches. Just my first time making a custom plate period so hindsight lol

Oh man, yeah that might be a challenge. You might want to look into changing the foam out with something more stiff/dense as any flex you get when pressing a key will cause issues. Those stand-offs you removed are pretty important if you're using a plate thats as flexible as FR4

I'm a mad lad. I put 2 layers of car dampener in the keyboard and added electrical tape to prevent any sort of shorting. And it all actually fits perfectly
