@inland raft from reading the forum, it does support controller inputs (can not confirm as I dont have the game), make sure you can get analog inputs from your analog profile: https://html5gamepad.com/

Its working and I've gotten a hotas to work with the game but not a controller. For some reason the game acts like its taking digital from my wooting but the gamepad tester is working fine on axis 0 and 1 for wasd.

I think they shut down the console version when they switched to DX11. They probably didnt expect and joystick use for walking after, so removed the animation to save space

There are much bigger bugs to squash in that game. This is the first time their investors have let them pay attention to it instead of DayZ or a battle Royale that failed on launch or a series of other trend chasing attempts in years. They finally learned their nieche is unserved game markets and it almost costed them the company.

it's a general DKS thing at the moment, it's not viable to use the same key under multiple DKS bindings such as shift under Q,W,E,R or shift under W,A,S,D

right now if you bind shift under Q's DKS, then your shift will become de-pressed after you press Q, even when you're physically still holding down shift

and the same scenario can occur when you have two keys making use of the same key through DKS

Hi I'm trying to make a wooting one profile to Fortnite, so i can build by one button ang go back to my gun right away. And it kind of works but at the same time it doesn't. The problem is that it does it but then my character keeps going forward, i don't even have **W **programmed. Btw this idea is inspired by Wooting them self's. I can send a screen of my DKS settings.

@wide pond Here is what i was trying. I think it might be something in the game. It switches fine and swaps back. think it might need a delay before the f activates. I can run it without the f key portion and press it and it works fine and swaps on release correctly.

I'm trying to make the move from xbox controller to wooting keyboard in Rocket League and so far I can see how it would a superior experience except for one obstacle that I can't seem to figure out and that's with the official profile how does one pitch their car up and down when jumping? If the the "A" and "D" keys are bound to Right and Left Stick and "W" and "S" are bound to Left and Right Trigger what are my options?!!?

I tried to solve the issue with using a mouse but that introduced the lag problem I've seen some people talk about. In reality, I'd rather just use all keyboard if possible. I'm on a Wooting One so I have no numpad.

I know you can't answer because you hopefully are in deep sleep but when you get a chance if you happen know where to find a solution for the mouse/wooting combo that causes the FPS to tank in Rocket League that'd be great. I'm doing my best to find the solution with the Discord search engine so maybe I'll find it before you get up.

I only really know of game DVR causing random lag spikes, maybe try turning that off and see if it continues (bottom of the guide tells you how to disable it)

I think the issue I'm having might be related to mouse or keyboard polling... If I just boost with the mouse I am doing 700+ FPS. If I just move forward with the keyboard I am doing 700+ FPS. As soon as I engage both devices my FPS tanks to 230 FPS.

I tried lowering the polling of the mouse to 500 from 1000. that didn't help. I wonder if it's Wooting related to the software or firmware, possibly? I see some discussion about this using the Discord search but can't find a definitive answer.

so I changed the mouse poilling rate all the way to 125 (windows default) and no lag as long as I limit frames to 250. For Rocket League I don't see this being a big deal since mouse is only used for boost and camera change in my instance but if this was a FPS I think it might be an issue...

Yeah, it should only apply to the digital profile, but I am trying to figure out what is exactly happening. Other than that mode, there is no other way of changing the polling rate

yes... If I just use xbox controller - I get a steady 700 - 900 FPS no matter what. If I use just wooting - I get 700 - 900 FPS no problem. If I just use the mouse with nothing else pressed - I get 700 - 900 FPS. If use the xbox controller and simultaneously press a mouse button I get 700 - 900 FPS. If I use the wooting and the mouse at the same time I instantly drop down to 200 - 250 FPS. All drivers are up to date and my event log is full of goodness. LatencyMon shows no DPC latency and I'm good for realtime audio. Crazy, right?

usually a huge slowdown like that means something is generating a lot of interrupts - so I'll try and start there and see if I can figure out which software or driver is doing that at the time of the slowdown... Maybe it's wootility beta - I haven't tried using the latest production but just the latest beta.. and I think I have beta firmware, too - not sure.

To the WOOTABASE Lords;

There are a lot of positive changes to make Analog way more viable in FPS gaming in the current #archived_wootility_beta_feedback
but they will change the behaviour of any current WOOTABASE profile (most will change for the better)

There's also a new setting overwrite the Digital Keys for keys that have Analog Bindings, so no more need to use DKS to disable keys

@flat prawn The general dead zones limit the handling where nothing happens. For their start (left side) nothing will be registered and for their end (right side) no change will be registered.

The Flaretech switches only have a range from 1.5 to 3.6 mm. So this defines the dead zones for the keys. Previously the curve has define how the keys are handled but now the curve will define how the output vector (the speed) is handled for better control. So before a shifted start has extended the key dead zone but now the key dead zone is untouched while a present dead zone stands for the vector length.

Imagine Lekker with a range of 0.1 to 3.9 mm. Then these values define the standard key dead zone.

#

It is possibile that Wooting will add something to change these values later on.

#

For now the graph / curve will only show the zones for the vector length (movement speed) while the key range stays on 1.5 to 3.6 mm.

so your UI is going to go all over the place when you open a inventory and try to walk at the same time

but even if it had a lock-input method, there are a lot of 'mechanics'(bugs) in their modified source engine that benefit digital keyboard mode that would be harder to achieve with analog mode

Anyone have a Tom Clancy's The Division profile to share ? I use the one from Mungrul shared on the wootbase, but while it work pretty well in-game, it doesn't allow me to use other keyboard inputs on this profile. (I need to go back out of analog mode to use any other inputs). Could just be a game limitation that i can't counter, but still asking.

the only thing you can change on the keyboard side is which button ID is sent over the wire to the operating system when pressing the physical keys. the mapping of buttons IDs to characters is done in the keyboard layout in the OS. as far as I'm aware the OS doesn't know the FN keys even exist

Yeah... somethings wrong with 928209b5-f99e-4704-9b81-16c1081d5fb6 indeed... digital works great in cs, this profile doesn't let you hold two of the wasd keys down and that translates to bottoming out a key does not move your character unless you lift it back up first. Does it need fixing or I just don't understand what's going on?

Can confirm issues with CS, seems like full press of X and Y directions doesn't add up the way digital does, don't think it's related to the profile though. You get maybe 80% of full movement speed holding down A+W or D+W. Looking at the tester it seems to register the input fine...

Is there a way to get "digital" input to happen at the bottom of the keystroke, like with DKS? Would that fix it?

ans: yes. That does fix it. I set WASD to be the movement keys in the UI and set DKS bindings so that WASD activates at the bottom of the travel. Didn't test extensively so not 100% sure if this has other issues. Obviously this makes typing a bit more difficult with those keys if you're not bottoming them out when using that profile

Don't have the profile code, but it comes down to controlling vehicle with arrow keys and adding 2 additional left and right movement keys using left joystick at a specific angle changing the analog curve value

@whole mortar what flight sim game you mapping to? I did try flight simulator 2020, but that was... A lot of work, it is possible to map. But anyway, perkey activation is a thing on the HE boards

Oh i was starting with some simple stuff like space engineers and tried a bit of conan exiles, support is not there yet in those tittles, but the keyboard is still fantastic and has potential software wise.

You can get 3 speed stepping in space engineer but i had to disable the keyboard keys to make it work, which is kind of bad for this game as there is no easy way to switch that without swapping profiles or alt tabbing yet and they have some implementation problems to fix on their own, namely the gamepad radial menu flashes on and off very fast when any analog input is detected.

I do have Arma3, elite dangerous, Dcs and flight sim 2020, but i will need to redo profiles later for these as i need to reinstall windows again.

I'm guessing you are on the classic Wooting keyboards? With the space engineers, are you able to unbind keys on the movement (or whatever keys you want analog) that might be a good way of getting around that. There is a setting on the HE boards wootility that can turn off gamepad mapped controls, you might have that on the flaretechs... But not entirely sure. But then again, on your explanation of how they implemented it, yeah it might just be an annoyance 😂

You can save the profiles you have for them all, just click share and save them to a notepad file or something, and you can import them once you have installed Windows again

wooting two he keyboard, i keep a backup of most games on a 14tb hdd, i have tried importing arma and msfs keybinds but there is just so many usb peripherals and hubs on my pc that it almost never works completely or at all since the devices tend to change id randomly between reinstalls. Just wish i had better internet as it is quite painful to get an average of 11-13mb/s on steam.

Thanks for this. Does this solve the camera auto-center issue in 3rd person? My only problem is that, when driving and trying to use my mouse to look, it is fighting the auto-center and jerking around. It’s incredibly annoying.

I don't think there's a way around that for vehicles with gamepad+mouse input
If I remember correctly you can slow down the camera's speed to make it more manageable
But if I ever had to shoot out of my car I'd either release the acceleration while aiming, or press the Mode key to go into regular keyboard mode

I don't know, wtwo sometimes acting weird (like Tachyon turn itself off by itself) and sometimes i need to reset it, and my profiles mostly got corrupted after it, so i save them separately on notepad and last time i forgot to do it
