I work at an gigantic tech company, they made their own version of Google Sheets due to "security concern", and it's complete HORSESHIT!

I will often work in Excel and then transfer my work over to the program.

But I realized that it's just so unfriendly to work with

I decided to look up why Excel's row limit is only 1 million, and it's column limit 16 thousand. It's an intentional trade off in optimization, as it allows you to fit everything within 32 bits. That saving means that 32 bit systems are more easily able to call on the information without needing to make multiple calls, and provides easier caching of the information. This makes Excel faster, and even LibreOffice has similar limits.

You can chalk down problems arising from these as people using the wrong tool for the job. Excel isn't meant for storing mass amounts of data, it's meant for doing wide spanning calculations, dating, and sorting for clients. MS likely thought that anyone with know how in these subjects would pick a proper database system, rather then forcing the Excel camel to take a few thousand hay bails.

I have a swiftpoint z and luckily it works fine using windows vm to set profiles, and then swapping it back to Linux. The only downside is you have to program button to swap profiles, as there is no way to auto swap in linix

you run 3200 flat 22 and then keep increasing your dram and fclk until you are unstable
then you calculate the timings required to match xmp latency on your kit and punch those in for the highest stable fclk/dram
then you tighten rrds rrdl and faw
anything beyond that is a waste of time

I don't recommend using windows to auto grab drivers. For dedicated cards you want the tools that come with the drivers, software for tuning the fan speeds and such.

yes, for video cards you want to adjust your fan speeds. When the card gets hot for activity, you don't want it to get too hot. and there's also noise-control. If it's too loud you can use the software to lower the card's performance to reduce heat or if it's not too negatively : reduce the fan speed to lower it noise.

an i5 would help yeah. just depends on which one as theres different models and specs. you don't wanna get a low end i5 that would have the same performance as your current i3

although primarily your GPU is the heavy hitter in performance. how much RAM do you have?

But I would def replace the i3

and keep in mind the limitations of the 1660. It certainly can't do 144hz except for really optimized games.

like, on par with a 590 or 1070, somewhere inbetween.

see if lowering the refresh rate to 60 improves.

can keep the 144hz from your Display settings out of the high end games but in-game cap the framerate.

def keep an eye on your Drivers and check your temperatures.

Note: Never blow or suck air through a fan. No vacuums or air cans WITHOUT holding the blades in place. They can't handle the kind of RPMs you're giving them.
