what happens when you use avx512 is that is able to fill all 4 fpus with instructions in parallel

most of the time only 1 or two of them are running at a time

here is a diagram of the entire processor

the only difference between server and client is these two things
I circled in red the wires connecting the fpus together (so they can work on the same task)
and i circled in blue the extra fpu that they put in (that is able to work on the same task or can be scheduled separately)

the extra heat comes because everything in the eu area is running at full bore at the same time

avx 1 makes this heat up

512 makes this heat up

and the cpu is able to use those extra fpus even though it wasnt provided an avx512 instruction

thats why there are times that sse instructions use more power than avx instructions
