So unless lawmakers put pressure on manufacturers to upscale chargers and stop aiming for a wide range and go top heavy, we're still going to see so many wasted chargers.

My argument is that the "no chargers included" law alone won't change things. Low end chargers need to be purged from the collective consciousness. We need to force Apple to sell only ONE magsafe that covers all of their models (within reason).
Yes - Each individual charger will be more expensive at first, but mass production will balance that out fast.

They have 6 - SIX chargers (all USB C for laptops) at different wattages. Two of them are rebranded, licensed products sold officially at Apple.
(And that's ignoring the three? different Magsafe connector ones 😄 )
