Salvaged an older computer and it got 8GB of ddr4 ram. Wondering if I could just add it to my system. Currently got two sticks(2x8gb) in dual channel mode. Would it be fine to run it with 3 sticks (3x8gb). It does have a lower clockrate compared to what is in the system. 2133 Vs 2666 but not sure how relevent that would be

If you have XMP enabled, you're probably not going to get a boot. If it's set to default (2133) then it should work.

the way fps counters usually work is they count the frames that happen in 1 second
good fps meters will time the amount of time it takes to render a frame then display 1/ that value
and when you do 1/time to render a frame, if your frame takes more than 1 second to render, you will get a decimal fps number
eg 1 frame/2 seconds = .5fps
