#

Literally what I just said.

fair gull
#

192.168.X.X are local ips reserved for the local network and are only available if you are on the same router

shadow minnow
#

Okay worked

fair gull
#

0.0.0.0 and X.X.X.255 arent even to be considered for people like you

shadow minnow
#

Changing end to 1.1 seems to have worked

fair gull
#

and everything else is a publicly available ip

timid chasm
#

Just setup static IP distribution via your router instead of the PC

#

if that's what you're doing

fair gull
young pecan
timid chasm
#

254 has always been mine

fair gull
#

192.168.X.1 or 192.168.X.254 are usually the router

#

and no i wont explain ipv6

young pecan
#

C’mon, Tony.

shadow minnow
#

I am able to connect from another pc from same network now

young pecan
#

Just explain binary to hex, 7head.

shadow minnow
#

But port still seems to be closed when checking

fair gull
#

so now the real issue is most likely your ISP

young pecan
#

ItS nOt ThaT hArD

  • teachers
fair gull
#

and the fancy tech called DSLite

#

which has multiple issues imo

#

but i can see why ISPs run it

young pecan
#

I can’t.

shadow minnow
#

Does it also affect IPV4?

fair gull
#

it only affects IPv4

young pecan
#

Literally change to IPv6 and this whole problem vanishes in about 2 seconds.

fair gull
#

it basically means 1 public IPv4 is split to multiple customers

young pecan
#

IPv6 DHCP server.

empty wren
fair gull
#

not the kind of dslite i meant

#

dslite as in dual stack lite

#

basically

#

ipv6 gets passed straight to everyone

#

doesnt matter what the ISP uses

young pecan
empty wren
#

XD

fair gull
#

DSLite means theres a NAT router in between that translates a public IP into a WAN IP

young pecan
#

xD

empty wren
#

I remember a buddy had a 3d phone and he liked it

young pecan
#

Bruh what?

empty wren
#

I do not know mans

fair gull
#

wait the 3d slider moves on the 3ds?

young pecan
#

Man must have eyes of steel.

empty wren
#

It does

young pecan
#

...

#

Yes.

fair gull
#

hm

#

i removed mine

young pecan
#

Down is the correct position.

fair gull
#

its a real shit show

empty wren
young pecan
fair gull
#

towards the touch screen is the right position

empty wren
#

I never understood why the screens had to be so small

fair gull
#

cause

#

pocket sizes

empty wren
#

I mean I guess

#

But could have been wider

fair gull
#

have you ever tried showing a 49" monitor down your pocket?

empty wren
#

No

#

Should I?

fair gull
#

yes

#

then u know why smol

timid chasm
#

I bet my ex could

#

she could fit anything anywhere

#

at least that's what all these strange men kept telling me

fair gull
#

so

#

i guess its good to have a small pp for all the man who think its shit

#

small pp = fits into pocket

empty wren
#

What is it detachable

fair gull
#

urs isnt?

empty wren
#

....

#

Um

#

Sure

fair gull
#

when u get a wife it is

#

including balls

empty wren
fair gull
#

never heard anyone say that

#

except you just now

empty wren
#

Might be an American thing

timid chasm
#

yeah I'm thinking NA at best

#

awful lot of small man syndrome going on here so that makes sense

empty wren
#

🤣

fair gull
#

i mean

#

guess im more NA than german

empty wren
#

Well how many days of the week do you eat McDonald's

fair gull
#

too many

#

i was at mcd yesterday

#

and ate it this morning

#

nice and stale from yesterday

cursive summit
#

McD got those new-ish spicy fry sticks

#

Those are sick

#

But they got nothing on the Burger King steak burgers

#

Man those trump McD's

empty wren
cursive summit
#

And they are better though

#

Like I had some burgers in my life, and by far Burger King fucks all of em

#

Although in a restaurant I don't typically get a burger, I guess lul

empty wren
#

I had two satisfying burgers both from bars

#

Hardee's feels too greasy

#

Mc Donald's is below average

#

I guess Burger King is fine but can be expensive

#

Arby's is probably a better choice between the 3

cursive summit
#

Yeah those western brands have very few outlets in my country

#

Burger King just opened their 3rd in the whole country I think, in my home city

#

KFC's I think planning on a second one

#

No Dunkin Donuts, Wendy's, Domino's, Nando's, Sailsbury's lul

#

Hell not even a Starbucks

timid chasm
#

KFC only matters when it comes to our KFC gaming PC

empty wren
cursive summit
#

I did have KFC for the first time very recently

#

It's literally chicken

#

Like my man, get a kilo of chicken for 3$, and crust it for another 1$ with some spices lul

empty wren
#

Yeah America has a problem...

timid chasm
#

yeah but then you gotta deal with frying it and the oil afterwards

#

hassles

cursive summit
#

I mean oil is in theory, reusable

#

Just need to filter it out

#

Still better than spending 10$ for a bucket

empty wren
#

It is pretty good though

timid chasm
#

and the sides are good too and it's just so convenient

#

that's what it's really about, imo. The convenience

empty wren
#

How about papa John's Vexx?

cursive summit
#

Nowhere near my country lul

empty wren
#

Ah

cursive summit
#

I really want Nandos though

#

I heard good things about it

empty wren
cursive summit
#

Yeah health isn't why I want nandos lul

#

Mostly the food seems a lot better

#

Oh shit Dominos did open up here

#

Just single restaurant and nobody seems to be going there

misty saffron
#

what the fuck is a nandos

wheat plume
#

Idk

#

I just know it as a brand of sauce I see in stores sometimes

pallid totem
#

0.0.0.0 only makes sense when binding listening ports, which means "listen to any interface".

#

And I finally got off 6rd and onto native a month or so ago. Such relief.

#

My MTU is finally 1500 all the way home.

cursive summit
fair gull
#

psure my mtu is like 1472

#

or some shit

#

or at least segment size

#

idk how big headers are

#

but its prob close to 1500

pale sigil

@wheat plume

wheat plume

O o

pale sigil

yo cal

#

wanna go for some cheeky nandos

#

@pale sigil

pale sigil

Maybe

wheat plume
#

:')

pallid totem
#

Oh, even worse. It was 1452.

compact fjord
#

Just out of curiosity. Would the Wooting two HE be able to reliably register acceleration of a key? Not just how far you press it. But how fast you press it.

reef patrol
#

Don't think Wootility has anything like that. But it's just a question of charting the key poilling.

pale sigil
#

Don't fully understand the question

#

But tachyon mod exists

compact fjord
#

Yeah. Maybe I need to read up a bit more. Was just curious. There is a lot of metrics one can gather from acceleration curves and such. But for the most parts one do not need such detail. And like I said it was more my curiosity that wanted to be satisfied. 😉

fair gull
#

well with 1k updates a sec u can get accel yourself

#

the wooting midi app for example supports key velocity

compact fjord
#

oh yes. I have heard about that MIDI app. of course that would support it.

#

Not that I am a expert on instruments. But I do know digital pianos to mimic real pianos do read that

its fun looking at your server logs and seeing things like this:
() {36 vars in 645 bytes} [Sat Jan 1 14:48:33 2022] GET /vendor/phpunit/phpunit/src/Util/PHP/eval-stdin.php => generated 143 bytes in 410 msecs (HTTP/1.1 400) 3 headers in 116 bytes (1 switches on core 0)

#

FINALLY
Plasma desktop let's you finally use root access on apps like dolphin and Kate

#

So many times I needed to open a text file and I can't cause you can't run Kate as sudo

#

Now you can

#

Woooo

fair gull
#

btw those usually generate a good 2mb of log a day

#

or just 195.54.160.149 - - [01/Jan/2022:03:47:33 +0100] "GET /index.php?s=/Index/\x5Cthink\x5Capp/invokefunction&function=call_user_func_array&vars[0]=md5&vars[1][]=HelloThinkPHP21 HTTP/1.1" 404 188 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/78.0.3904.108 Safari/537.36"

pallid totem
#

2 megs access log total? Or just those types of requests?

fair gull
#

i mean

#

its basically just that

#

if id boil it down

#

its like maybe 50 or so legit requests

#

and then around 5k of those

#

btw thats just 1 domain

#

that i seperated out in nginx cause it spammed the logs

pale sigil
#

Why do you have logs for a Russian site

fair gull
#

remember the thing that happened with my image host?

pale sigil
#

Oh

fair gull
#

apparently i also hosted gigabytes of hentai

#

poor souls

pallid totem
#

I'm in the tech department of a fairly large player group for Elite: Dangerous. We have 4 dedicated servers running just to handle our infrastructure needs at this point. There is... significant log spam from exploit scanners and intrusion attempts, not to mention old apps apparently expecting a different server on a likely recycled IP.

empty wren
#

Great way to start the new year, phone leaks

fickle ore
#

Hmm, probably something that wouldn't work on my pcie4 platform. Interesting nontheless 🙂

pallid totem
# fair gull i heard ed

We run a player group called the Fuel Rats. Basically, we go out and save people who run out of fuel.

fair gull
#

im aware of the rats

#

so far luckily never needed their services

pallid totem
#

Its infrastructure sort of... er, grew, over time. Too many clients, too many rats. So almost €200 per month in dedicated servers, AWS DNS and various sundries. 😛

fair gull
#

here i sit with a puney 50bucks

#

altho i also am unsure if i could max the 14cores and 64gigs of ram

#

its a glorified imagehost atm

#

well and discord bot test heaven

pallid totem
#

We run 3 dedicated servers on Hetzner, and one AWS instance for our US IRC server. We do our own image/paste hosting as well, though the image hosting is just a Nextcloud tied in with our SSO so rats can have a gig of upload space for their rat related stuff.

fair gull
#

yikes hetzner

#

way too overpriced imo

reef patrol
#

Did someone say .... FUEL RATS

pallid totem
#

Squeak! o7

fair gull
#

imma quickly check what a comparable root costs at hetzner to what i pay atm

#

they dont even offer 14cores, 64gb ddr4 ecc and 2tb ssd

#

let alone epyc

#

ngl

#

this is sad

#

literally the price i pay

ashen spindle
#

hows the price on aws and something smaller like linode looking in comparison?

reef patrol
#

Fuel Rats were so dang helpful back when I played Elite. I've had at least a handful of really close calls when exploring blindly like a dope 😄

fair gull
#

linode wants 480/mo

#

but id get 32cores

#

also less ssd

#

and limited transfer

#

8tb bandwidth

#

for multiple hundreds a month it might be cheaper to buy the hardware and rent a spot in a DC

ashen spindle
#

good one

#

able to buy server hardware at the moment

fair gull
#

i mean i did buy proper server stuff finally

#

tomorrow it arrives at work

pale sigil
#

DoomMachineV2?

fair gull
#

no

ashen spindle
#

yeah but that's a bit older compared to what a host could offer or did you get a milan server?

fair gull
#

at home the machine is snapinator

fair gull
#

my host offer 14 epyc smthsmth cpus and ddr4 ecc

#

for 40bucks a month

430eur

for a dl380p g8 with 128gb ddr3 ecc

Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2 (2.7 GHz/12-core/30MB/8.0GT/s QPI/130 W, DDR3-1866, HT, Turbo2- 3/3/3/3/3/3/3/4/5/6/7/8)

#

those

#

g9 and ddr4 is just too expensive for home lab

#

altho id doubt for the applications i use it for that it matters much

#

i could prob just host my image server at home now

pale sigil
#

i would host at home

#

but my interwebs just aint reliable enough

#

i only get 12 up

#

on a good day

fair gull
#

thats what keeps me from hosting at home atm

#

50up is sad

#

and the fibre shit

#

well

#

they forgot to plan fire safety and stuff for the apartment buildings in my city so i aint getting fibre soon

pale sigil

ayyup

i got 20 up tonight

fair gull

well

#

first its truenas now

#

but thats not the issue

pallid totem
#

It wasn't when I made it. 😛

fair gull
#

why is it upper and lowercase

pallid totem
#

Because the data volume mounts from a script, most likely.

fair gull
#

ngl

#

id have to fix that if that was my pc

#

that would annoy me everytime i see it

pallid totem
#

I am luckily not that deep in the OCD traits.

fair gull
#

u can sure be glad

wheat plume
#

It also annoys me too....

pallid totem
#

I am seriously considering redoing them now, by putting them all in script. Or well, those I can.

fair gull
#

why mount them via script tho

#

windows keeps em mounted

pallid totem
#

Like this:

for mount in mounts:
  mp=''.join(choice((str.upper, str.lower))(c) for c in mount))
``` :>
fair gull
#
python aswell
#
im disappointed
pallid totem
#
Because different users mount different volumes.
fair gull
#
i mean
#
theres windows domain shit u could use
pallid totem
#
Sure, but that's not the environment I run in.
fair gull
#
ngl im not even sure if mapped drives are kept between users
reef patrol
#
Mapped drives are on a per user level.
fair gull
#
even less reason to have scripts then
reef patrol
#
In fact back when I worked with Windows XP domain servers, it was perfectly common to temporarily map drives every time you logged on. Just to be sure they stuck xD
pallid totem
#
I think I'm in the best position to know what needs I have for my own network in this case.
fair gull
#
true
#
just
#
its unnecessary from a technological standpoint
pallid totem
#
It isn't.
fair gull
#
i dont understand
#
mapped drives are per user
#
they stick anyway
#
so
#
i dont see a point in scripts
pallid totem
#
My network is segregated. How I mount the volumes depends on how I am connected to the network.
#
For example, if I am connected using wireless or VPN, I can't access all the shares. Some require a physical LAN connection to a specific switch to be available.
fair gull
#
personally still dont see a reason for scripts but i guess you do you
astral haven
#
I can 100% confirm that group policy is jank and needs to be supplemented by scripts to make sure important things happen
Watch this be a thing you can pay extra for to enable in the future..
ashen spindle
#
basically useless for desktop anyway and amd will have it starting with zen4 so the better option is team red again
misty saffron
#
not that useless honestly
#
considering a lot of game devs do pointer encryption bullshit
#
AVX instructions help with optimizing that code by a lot
ashen spindle
#
I recon if any game is optimized to a point where your cpu not using avx3 is the bottleneck something else has gone wrong
#
and avx/avx2 all still work obviously
misty saffron
#
oh so you don’t remember pubg 3 years ago
#
where they killed performance with pointer encryption
ashen spindle
#
something else has gone wrong
I count that game as a total mess dogekek
misty saffron
#
that is a great point
young pecan
#
Gotta agree with Quin, tbh.
#
And most of the time games are horrifically badly optimised anyway. Shit like Unity is great for sheer speed of development, but compared to C++ or assembly it’s laughably slow.
#
Lots of tests have been done to compare C++ optimised code to unity development and C++ is legitimately several orders of magnitude faster.
#
Assembly is even faster still.
#
I think that just having people that can actually use and optimise C++ work is a bigger boon for a game than AVX-512 could ever really be.
misty saffron
#
and no, it is honestly not faster
#
a modern c++ compiler is smarter than you and can make much faster code
young pecan
#
Kinda.
#
Compilers still leave unoptimised code, but it’s usually to the point of diminishing returns.
#
Theoretically could be faster, but the gains wouldn’t be amazingly high.
misty saffron
#
well obviously compilers don’t know what the fuck you want to do
young pecan
#
Though with that said there’s some extremely clever tricks you don’t see a lot of the time.
#
Mate of mine is making a hyper optimised game engine, it’s hilarious seeing what lengths he goes to for more speed.
misty saffron
#
the reason performance in so many apps/games sucks nowadays is because people are incompetent
#
ask an average developer what a profiler is and they won’t know what to say
ashen spindle
fickle ore
#
which engine?
misty saffron
#
il2cpp is nowhere close still
fair gull
#
i mean
#
comparing todays game devs to 16bit console era
#
makes me sad
ashen spindle
#
sure il2cpp is still not native but quite good and most of the comparisons made on unity vs native c++ are made in incredible dumb ways
#
like no shit your native c++ engine that has literally no editor UI can spawn things faster big congratz
young pecan
#
That’s kinda the thing though.
#
If you have a fully functioning engine versus a C++ native one with a full UI in the hands of somebody talented the C++ native will win.
misty saffron
young pecan
#
It’s just everybody is used to using libraries and skipping instead of learning.
ashen spindle
#
but same thing for unreal and other engines that are purely cpp I think I understand your point but the language is irrelevant
fair gull
ashen spindle
#
but then you are using something not art or design person can use without doing cpp themselves
misty saffron
#
programming being more accessible is both a blessing and a curse
young pecan
#
10000% this.
fair gull
#
thats basically every profession tho
young pecan
#
Look at literally every game made for an N64, they’re all works of hilariously optimised and corner cutting art.
#
Shit all modern is done to that level of skill.
ashen spindle
#
disagree, yes the bad parts are obvious but the better parts coming from it are so much better than the limited options we would otherwise have
#
sure we would not have NFTs and probably no javascript in websites but we also would not have functional websites at all
misty saffron
#
thanks for reminding i need to take my ps1 to moscow
young pecan
#
Just wish more people would learn fundamentals instead of ‘java go brrrrrr’ and ‘python go brrrrrrr’ library hell.
fair gull
young pecan
#
Y’know how many pointlessly large libraries exist that can be done in maybe 40 lines of code?
misty saffron
#
well just to play games at first
#
thankfully owners left an old tv
fair gull
#
ill just write horribly inefficient js and make a fancy looking but running like ass website
#
then rinse and repeat for my first program
young pecan
#
You better be using that 120k line library that’s entirely unneeded.
#
Fuck it, import the whole thing and slap that bitch into a loop variable.
#
I promise no slowdowns.
fair gull
#
yes import all the functions even if js and css can do it by now
young pecan
#
Literally call ALL the functions.
#
Doesn’t even matter.
#
Bodged solutions from 10 years ago still work fine regardless of C++ being able to do them faster and in 8 lines of code.
fair gull
#
window.close() intensifies
young pecan
#
Who needs 8 lines of code when you can have 40k? Bigger number go brrrrrrr.
#
Guy, I’m perfectly ok with a library, but I’m not ok with idiots ham fisting it in because ‘Python go brrrrrrrr’.
#
Lack of knowledge is the problem here, not lack of tools.
#
And yeah, the drawbacks are fine now, but y’know how often we’re getting into the issue of “well we would fix it, but nobody knows how the technology works” comes up?
#
That is only going to get worse with time.
ashen spindle
#
sure but I rather have tools with big issues than not having the tools at all
I know the massive issues it all has obviously
And when nobody can fix the underlying technology?
Seems like one of those massive problems that’s only able to be fixed via education.
Not everybody needs to be the holy grail developer that can solve world hunger, but goddamnit why are we lacking basic knowledge like this?
Worth throwing it out there: anyone have experience with generic LCD(?) drivers off of Amazon/Ebay? I've got one that does what it is supposed to, but it doesn't seem to support all of the LCD's features. There's no DDC (as far as I can tell) and no USB connection. Right kinda my fault for not specifying what I was talking about. I'm using a PQ3QI-01 LCD. It's supposed to be able to switch between transmissive, transflective, and reflective mode. Documentation about this LCD can be found at https://elinux.org/images/3/3f/PQ3QI-01.pdf and https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/3Qi-1_V22_spec_20110919.306200524.pdf (unaccessable via Tor). As far as I can tell however, the LCD board driver I'm using (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07VD3446G/) does not have any options to support these modes. Looking on eBay, it seems like the other controller boards on there are pretty much the same (at least in terms of design). My guess would be I need to go dig at the bottom of the internet to find a genuine board driver, or figure out how the hell to run one of these manually, which is probably way out of my god damn expertise. On that note, the resolution of the display is also limited to 1024x600, even though the documentation states it should be able to go up to 3072x600, but this might just be me being dumb as hell and not understanding the documentation. So that's why I'm posting here in case anyone has any knowledge in this area. If not, it was worth trying.
pallid totem
#
The driver you're using is the limiting factor there. It only supports 1024x600.
slow garnet
#
That's unfortunate. I didn't notice the max resolution on the driver at first, so that's my fault on that end. Thanks for at least mentioning that. But I would have at least taught that it would support the other two modes. On that note, the board also has two different labels on it, one stating Y-158624 and the other stating P21071592-0A00769. I can't find anything on this though.
pallid totem
#
According to PQ3QI-01 specs, it also only supports 1024x600. I suspect you have confused a triple display setup, which would be 3072x600.
slow garnet
#
Woops, hold on
#
I posted the same pdf twice.
pallid totem
#
There is a Pixel Qi Mode Control Application for mode switching for reflective, trasnmissive and transflective mode.
slow garnet
#
Switched the PDF.
#
The first document states "In reflective mode the screens shows higher resolution at 3072 x 600 pixels", so not entirely sure why it's missing from the 2nd.
#
As for the control application, I'll have to go and dig for this, I couldn't find anything last time I checked for it unfortunately.
#
That's why I tried looking into if there was a DDC or a USB connection, but there was nothing there to go from.
pallid totem
#
Oh, you mean luminance resolution.
slow garnet
#
Yeah, my bad on that part
pallid totem
#
This is not actually "resolution" in the normal sense of things. Yes, you can do what's called subpixel rendering while in transflective and reflective mode, where you push additional 'resolution' through the luminance channel. Each actual pixel (in the 1024 rows) actually consists of several subpixels, and those modes can give you control of each individual subpixel.
slow garnet
#
Oh.
#
Well, that clears up some confusion then.
pallid totem
#
I suggest contacting them for the software.
slow garnet
#
I likely will need to be doing so.
#
Thanks again for the help.
#
It's a shame that there aren't as many reflective/transflective displays out there though. E-ink is good and all, but it cannot achieve a decent refresh rate without issues. Not to mention they're generally very expensive for higher resolutions and sizes.
pallid totem
#
Point 6.3 of your PDF:
The  display  panel  supports  3  modes:  purely  reflective,  purely  transmissive,  and  transflective.    The  mode is set by the ambient light intensity and backlight intensity.    The following truth table shows how different modes are selected
slow garnet
#
Right. Trying to set the backlight to 0% in the menu doesn't seem to turn off the backlight however.
#
There's also no ambient light sensor that I can see on the LCD or driver.
#
So either the driver isn't actually setting the backlight to 0%, or something funky is going on.
pallid totem
#
You've got the NT68676 board controller docs, right?
slow garnet
#
I actually do not.
#
Is there something I'm missing here? I apologize for my naiveness.
slow garnet
#
Oh well this is interesting
#
Ok, doing the power/menu thing, as far as I can tell, the backlight is at 0%. Moving it up to 100% and back down to 0% did nothing.
#
There is one more thing I could try I guess, unplugging the inverter cable. As far as I can tell, this wouldn't damage anything (inverters go all the time, don't they? And when they do, last time I checked, LCDs still function but they are pitch black).
pallid totem
#
I'd try setting up a way to hook into the LCD backlight signal pin instead.
slow garnet
#
Yeah unfortunately that looks like what I might need to do instead. The inverter circuitry wires seems to be soldered on (or superglued, whatever be the case, it is unremovable, short of potentially breaking the board).
pallid totem
#
Just hook in to LED_EN with a switch. 0v = off, 3.3v = on.
#
And if the board is supplying a constant on anyways, just interrupting it is enough.
#
That at least gets you reflective and emissive modes. For transflective, you'd have to hook into the PWM.
slow garnet
#
Might have an easier option, but I'll have to ask first: What about removing the jumper pin instead?
pallid totem
#
I haven't read the board spec that thoroughly, and certainly not the circuit. You could end up overvolting it, if the jumper is to a voltage sink.
slow garnet
#
Yeah that's what I was thinking. I don't know for sure how it works, so it either defaults to 12V, or doesn't
#
Well, I'll have to go find out which wire is LED_EN. There's one problem though: I don't have any switches on hand, as ridiculous as that sounds.
#
For now though, I'll likely leave it into emissive mode for now, and whenever I get a switch, I'll try it out and report back with results.
#
Thanks again a lot. And sorry for my ignorance in this domain, first time I'm doing this.
pallid totem
#
CN5, pin 3, for reference.
#
And asking is how you learn, so don't worry about it.
slow garnet
#
True. No stupid questions, right? Then again, some people aren't as understanding.
#
Oh, that might make a bit of sense now.
#
Pin 4 is left unconnected, and there's two wires going to pin 3. Figures.
pallid totem
#
Well then. I'd definitely start with a multimeter, and figure out which is which.
#
But double check that the board revision is correct to the manual you're looking at.
#
Given that no voltage on pin 3 originally should lead to the backlight NOT turning on, that's a flag that it may be a different board revision.
It depends on the BMS implementation. But there's quite a bit of intelligence to most systems, especially in phones. Most BMS systems have individual cell monitoring, meaning it tracks the state of charge for each cell, and tries to balance them out as they degrade. Even if a set of cells are fairly equally matched right after production, they will often become more and more disparate over time as they accumulate cycles.
So if 128 EU's can match 3050
Intel doesn't have a keynote this year.
#
They're doing press releases during CES though.
ashen spindle
#
doesnt matter because nvidia is going to release high end product and intel just the gpus that are low end to mabye mid range
#
so no chance of last minute adjustments
#
and I'm certain intel's cheapest gpu will be below 300 (msrp at least)
#
just because they first need people to buy it so it is more out there in the wild and getting used
#
and not by people who are not general users
We don't have swarms, but we do have rescue drones hereabouts now. FLIR/Thermal equipped, for searching inaccessible areas. Cheaper than helos.
