So I'm on a bit of a tantrum
Just saying, these shitty websites still somehow manage to find social issues in a Twitch leak
Man I'm still so blown away with my 3080
Can we just stop finding racial and social issues in literally everything
I was playing shadow of the tomb raider before in 4k.msxed out with Ray tracing on
No dlss
50-60fps
below 100 fps
The people watch what they want... That isn't up to twitch unless they favor somehow
Which is why i still choose 144hz1440p

But I wss testing
i didnt pirate anything
Like I love actually good colour content creators, like KSI
Not that the fucker streams though
I think you'll find the lack of diversity is more due to just the fact I guess there are just more entertaining creators around

That inspires others to pay for your consultation

I mean, Linux should be able to stay somewhat running on the memory alone once booted.

Just keep the firmware TPM disabled until you feel comfortable upgrading.
you can also install it without having tpm active currently
they have learned from their win 10 update
eh
not retarded
enforcing TPM makes sense
imo
except they aren't enforcing it
forcing manufacturers to include it can add a LOT of security in the future
kind of enforcing it helps already
weird i couldnt upgrade or install without tpm yet
they have been enforcing it for OEMs
and i used the mct for w11
@fair gull
havent gotten said dialog
enforcing does not, no
say that to 2015 and older pcs

I wonder if the switch will have some sort of charge feature so plugging it in a lot doesn't fuck the battery up
the Switch switches to DC in power when charged to 100% so it doesnt overcharge
Especially if its kept in the Dock where most people keep it
I meant steamdeck oops
I'd assume so
Because Valve are making a dock for it later on
So it would have to be able to handle being plugged in well longer than the time it needs to charge
if the steamdeck would lack basic features that you basically need to remove to not have, I would be quite surprised
^^
Pretty much all smartphones do it now
idk about laptops though
My battery is wrecked at 44% health so I dont think they have that
pretty much all battery devices that is not cheapest garbage have it

Most popular ones yea
i want to make a small ios app and i need to pick between the 3 garbage choices
swift, react, xamarin
not sure which is the best of the worst
probably xamarin unless you worked with either of the other before and are familiar
The magic 8 ball says react to be the best one
iâve tried using xamarin and i have horrible flashbacks
shit just doesnât work
and requires you to use 2 ides at once
microsoft has LOTS of documentation, sure
but itâs not really useful when the button they mention isnât there
does react/js have an easy way of parsing html?
i should probably mention visual studio on macOS is cursed as fuck
then just VM it
swift is just a shit language thatâs too complicated for zero reason
Maximum suffering
swiftui is even worse
fuck a line of code up and the compiler will tell you why your entire bloodline is retarded but wonât say whatâs wrong
are you sure thats not just c++
i mean, with c++ you just blame the compiler devs
fair
for having a shit compiler
and with swift you blame compiler devs for being morons
also c++ is the reason I am certain open source is 100% not the right way for a lot of things
if you want to know why i hate swift so much just search github for swift code
much happier with c# development cycle and such and not bazillion people trying to steer the ship
apple decided to use the entire ascii charset instead of introducing keywords
that does sounds very much like apple
i wouldnât be surprised if class?!.field!!!$ is valid swift syntax
c++ tends to be correct with what and why the error got called
Just a little too literal why
Swift alone not really It literally sometimes fixes it for you by one click. But sometimes, especially in playgrounds, it just gets stuck on nonsense error or endless loading.
yes, but show an unresolved symbol linker error to a person whoâs just started learning c++ and theyâll have a heart attack
đ¤
oh not just a new person, when you set it up and something is not linked but you cant see what you can still get a heart attack if it's before a deadline
But like swift is nice in not minding me writing some stuff completely different than I am supposed to, and yet it usually works by swift figuring out what do I wanna don
that sounds horrible ngl
i ragequit swift in a couple of hours last time i tried
why would I want to code in something that works when it doesnt make sense, how am I able to debug or trust that then
if you mean it has a good IDE then that is not a language thing
For me without really knowing to program in any language it was probably simplest I have tried. Well ue 4 blueprints were not bad just some stuff about them was annoying
please try c# and regain happiness in life
I mean, when it makes sense but is not kinda written completely correctly.
Like if I write some following commands in line without brackets.
following a styleguide doesn't make code correct/wrong
if brackets are fully optional it's a style thing not something "wrong"
well
Well, yeah, wrong wording, itâs more of style guide not being that strict I guess. Also auto fixing stuff is nice but sometimes the errors are not very good/detailed
worked at a project with a guy, running clang-format on his commits was ABSOLUTELY necessary

But also playgrounds through Xcode hate me. Something always breaks
also auto fixing again doesnt sound like a language thing but something the IDE would do
like my dreams of just making swift apps
One week random function does not work, another I sometimes get nonsense error about deleted thing that is no longer there. And then one playground loading would always freeze after like 5 lines of codes were added
does js code get jitted with react native?
yea I think I stick to c# so I know shit works and the things I need to complain about are the other people and not my code
btw bexin, pc simulator is free on epic so you can simulate adding a GPU to your pc
Idk if normal swift has the same bugs but playgrounds just arenât the best
Maybe spend a few weeks getting it to become stable
Tbh itâs Pog since I wanted to buy that game and now donât have to. Question is how am I gonna claim it
Also idk if I could even afford msrp GPU atm, uk not that cheap
if you use mono then thereâs definitely something to complain about
always fun
Make your own programming language and program alone. Simple.
nah not really because you're kinda limited how deep you can go by unity
just a bit annoying that I gotta wait till they add latest language features but they are catching up
more like mono is made by people who clearly donât give a fuck
maybe idk, for non unity I think roslyn is the default in VS and in unity as I said you dont really need to interact with it
they took like 6 years to go from c# 6 to 7 and now we got like 50% support for 9 in less than a year after release so I'm fine with the improvements lol
has a couple issues obviously but I dont need to worry about any major issues that crash the app just because I didn't delete something in the right place
What's the 5800x like? I'm wanting to upgrade my computer when I swap to a new case
the ryzen 7 cpu?
depending on when that is happening you might want to wait for Zen3D
end of the year
is that like a cache upgrade thing? Reading about it now
expected around christmas as amd officialy only say end of the year
ya massive L3 cache and probably some minor tweaks
I'll probably wait
if I ever upgrade probably gonna wait till zen 4, then zen 3 prices will drop and i'll get one of those
quite common with decent ones
that's how you know they're fancy
yeah, nice to be able to use your own stuff or switched to balanced
or if the cable breaks
cause that is the reason why stuff breaks like 90% of the time
Ah yes
So fancy at $20 xf
The jack side is right angled
Idk how to feel about that
The preinstalled tips are dusty
so fancy, especially in the audio space XD
Pretty sure that $20 IEMs aren't fancy :')
They are getting good reviews though for their sound quality which is why I got them
I was being sarcastic
oh those are the KB ears I just noticed
heard good things about those
Does it matter what way the cable attached?
Other than matching left and right earbud
normally the cable curves out behind your ear iirc
so the curve should be pointing up
XD
yeah like that
Seems so
This is the first time I had wired earphones attached to my phone so I'm only looking at these settings now
Just did a test to make a custom preset
so where the presets actually for frequence responce or?
Yes
It asked me a bunch of times if I could hear the sound or not and it alternated between left and right ear and sometimes I couldn't hear it
yeah custom is probably better for that, even within the same age demographic our ears respond differently
That's true
I learned new things about MIUI also hahaha
Didn't know this audio test existed
I hate the right angled connector ;_;
The sound is neat though
That's true
It's removable
It's a very very different sound profile to my headphones
My headphones are flatter
Quite a bit
This seems to like bass and a little bit of treble
I guess V shape
I heard one of the reviews describe them as that
But they also said they are somewhat warm but not much
I agree
It's clean though
This is good song to test cause there is a lot of background instruments
so it pairs well with detailed headphones?
Idk of my headphones ate consider detailed
But they seem to be
But they place emphasis on vocals over the instrumental
granted well done vocals sound amazing
MiUI needs mkre volume slider increments
I use the volume button once and it's too loud
Turn it down once and it's too quite
fuk
Linux seems to do this too on my desktop
Drops volume by steps of 5
But if you hold shift whole changing volume it'll use steps of 2 instead which is much better
wtf
2 is the default in windows
which gets really annoying if you are on an odd number
triggers me
If you turn it down to 0 then back up it'll go back to even number xd
whatâs the best type of air humidifier?
woke up with a dry nose today, touched it and.. well, that was one hell of a red fountain
Oh ;_;
;_;
I used to have one that just sprayed water mist into the room
I remember we had a dehumidifier in our house before
swamp cooler does seem like a good choice cause tap water here is anything but clean
Holy shit this song is trippy af with these earphones
wait until you try lsd

O.o
I forgot about the import fees for the Steam Deck .-.
It's 23% of the item cost
Maybe I'll cancel the reservation and reserve the 64gb model instead
Wat
import fees are a bitch
Yep ;_;
If it's anything like other physical Valve products it'll be shipped from NL and have no surprise fees
i mean, if itâs ever sold in ireland the price will just include import tax @wheat plume
youâre really not losing any money
I mean if you're gonna use it alot then the 256gb is probably worth it
Import fees is âŹ126
sorry how many percents
23%
hahahaha
I'm aware
Tech here is stupid expensive once store profit is added on too
Import fees start applying to anything over âŹ25
ok thatâs inadequate
If I got these headphones from amazon.com I'd need to pay import fees
Which is why I used Germany
If I made a USA steam account and got the steam deck then it would only be âŹ457
I may do that....
then proxy it to you or something?
Should I point out that you would have to pay ass over face to get any warranty repairs on it if you import it?

just don't break it
not to mention it's not even cheaper to order via a US steam account at all...
he's trying to avoid import fees or something

It would be cheaper
Idk the shipping costs
But the import fees are 23%
you do realize you still have to pay import fees on it even if you buy it via a US account?
also the screenshot shows one number, what is the other number
ye
1.23 is adding on the 23%
does import tax remove the sales tax?
bc thats factored into the euro price but not the $ prices
No
But Ireland needs to have tax included in the price
yes ireland needs to have it included but not america hence the Us price you see on a us account does not have it included...
so you are comparing prices with taxes vs prices without taxes

what
that is US price + ireland import
if that is lower than the price ireland gets
than it is cheaper
(before shipping)
so importing from the EU means you need to pay sales tax but importing from the US means you dont have to pay it? that sounds wrong
It is.
Anyone know if valve have eu warehouse?
As I said a little while ago, most definitely
You don't pay US sales tax cause it isn't sold within the US. You pay a shitload in shipping however.
Then it arrives at Irish customs. Where it either sneaks through or you pay sales tax and a handling fee.
Then you get the product. And if it breaks, you gotta send it back to the US to get warranty and pay shipping BOTH ways.
Yeah
If it breaks I'm fucked.
sales tax in the US is based on where you live, but in the EU it is based on from where it is sold
they have one in the Netherlands iirc
Well sure - Cause it's the same country xD
wait so ireland pays import tax when buying from EU places while being in the eu?
something still doesnt add up
Yes pepega
Who said anything about buying from EU to EU though? xD
otherwise I dont understand why lana would be paying less when buying from the US rather than form the eu
cause steam has to pay more to get the units here
- extra beurocracy
so they are more expensive here
Ordering with a USA account: Price + sales tax + import fees
Ordering from Ireland: higher price + import fees
Import fees importing from another EU country
?
No
It's coming from valves warehouse which is on the USA
Unless they have an eu warehouse but I doubt it
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/339C-BC5C-3D89-53D9
Steam ships all hardware orders either from a warehouse in the United States located in Carol Stream, Illinois, or from a warehouse in the European Union located in Walwijk, the Netherlands.
This is about the Index sure, but it matches my experience with the controller, and it would be madness if they did things differently now
Oooooo
There is zero chance they'd ship from EU to you, if you order it form the US.
if they would not have an eu warehouse how would they be selling stuff FROM the eu?
Hopefully they send the deck from there
and if they dont send it from the eu it would not be eu sales tax so the price wouldnt work
I didn't know they had an eu warehouse
So they'd have to send from USA
If Valve chooses to ship it from the EU that's on them.
I hope they ship mine from the eu
But that just isn't happening either way so moot.
Cause then no import
it's not happening because that's not the point we are on about mansen
this is so all over the place xD
But I give up - You're clearly not listening to reason here.
They will NOT ship it from the EU, if you order it from the US. Period.
^^
yes thats not what anyone ever said xD
this chat is brokeback
That's what you implied someone said
Avanna has literally said that three times or more đ
^^^^^^^^
ah ye sorry mansen I thought you meant that in response to me xD
I'm just fucking happy they have an EU warehouse
is in NL iirc
Yep
Yeah most tech giants have a warehouse in NL, DE or FR. If only to forward stuff for mass repair and replacement.
NL is popular due to... ahem... VERY lax customs.
Hmm...so there is a chance it won't ship from there?!
if they would not have an eu warehouse, they would not be selling it FROM the eu to you so you wouldn't have had sales tax in addition to import taxes and that's why regardless of it it didn't make sense that a EU account would pay more
thats why mansen and I got so confused
I already reserve it on my eu account
because your hypothetical scenario would never happen
It's like expecting Wooting to ship you a board from the EU, if you accidentally use the US site to order.
Unless someone from Wooting actually catch the mistake, it's going to ship from where the shop expects.
tl;dr: dont confuse yourself with taxes and imports by randomly looking at pries and make sure to understand how those prices come to be đ
TLDR; Don't try and cheat customs. Cause you're missing some part of the equation showing you how bad of a deal it is.

yea or that, if you think you found a way to trick the system, you probably didn't xD
I am so freaking dang excited
For the Steam Deck
I just hope there isnt a version 2 the following year xd cause then id want that one instead
Doubt it
Regardless, I still am excited AF
The Deck is bringing a lot of new hardware support to Linux
But it's not...
Linux supports most of that stuff already, except the APU drivers which are custom made since its a custom chip anyway.
The thumbsticks and touchpads and gyro are already available in Linux
Hmm, maybe the gyro support might be partly custom to allow full motion control range
but idk, I havent tried motion controller on Linux
đ¤ Custom Steam Deck SD cards?!
Wait wait, this is different to what the Steam client says
Steam says Q2 2022
OOOohhhhh

Usb 2 in 2021?
ikr .-.
The Deck or the Dock or both?! xd
It was just mentioned on Twitch that for 60HE the PCB is IP6x water resistant, but I wonder why you don't have drainage holes in the PCB. Back in the day Thinkpad laptop keyboards had this fantastic feature that it made them even more spill proof. basically there were some holes in the keyboard and the casing that was draining the liquid relatively fast.
completely unneeded with IP6x protection
at that point you're probably making it more risky for water or smth to come in from the drainage holes rather than them helping is my guess
makes the mold more complicated
the case of the 60 HE is just one piece
prob the reason why it isn;t a thing
- liquid would be trapped all over the place
so the drainage holes wouldn't do much
Unfortunately you are wrong because:
-
according to the standard, IP6x is water jet resistant, but it will not help in submerged liquid. The casing would hold the liquid and it will definitely be bad
-
coffee and tea are usually hot and have some sugar and milk and etc. which even change the conductivity and also change the surface tension
right, IPx6
X6 would be a water protection
the protection is achieved with conformal coating
so the conductivity is irrelevant essentially
Jeroen on Twitch said water resistant
Actually on a second thought, I will drill some holes in the bottom of the case to make the drainage for myself. I should just check the slope and inside plastic parts to see what might block the liquid flow.
@old marlin Thanks for correcting me and also the brief discussion
And so... it begins xD
nice
LOL

Any and everything they can. Doubt it's anyone from there though. They stopped doing the whole anonymous thing years ago.

Seems that the only two USB C ports on the Deck Dock are for power
There's only one usb c
Also, the Deck doesnt slot into it, That is a bit strange, so its not really a dock, more like an adapter
You'd fuckin' hate the audio industry.
It is an adapter
USB-C Cable to Steam Deck
USB 2.0 is standard and they still use USB 1.0.

Imagine using USB 1.0 on anything, actually bruh.
ew
I don't get it.
You're saying there's two usb c ports
There is
There isn't
Pioneer releases a 2 grand mixer/interface and y'know what they don't do?
Put USB 3 on it.
Why?
"Power in" and and "USB-C cable to Steam Deck"
There is very clearly not 2 USB C ports.
??
1 C, 3 A.?
There is only one of them?
Yes
thats 1
Only one port
There is the other than plugs into the Deck
It carries power and data
Is it at least USB 3.0?
Id hope so
Im talking about the Dock
Oh xd
Yeah, my new laptop does it too!
C is such a nice port.
Once I get it
45w though đ
Taking a while
Fuck USB A, is there even any reason to use it?
Let's just switch everything from shitty A to C Thunderbolt.

Yes that's the goal but the transition is gonna be a long one
In good time
What reason even is there? Legacy compatibility sure, but it doesn't stop people from using new tech.
But they stop using new tech anyway.
OH NO! They are using the Xbox controller button layout for ABXY
Im too used to the Switch layout now
The amount of AMD boards with build in TB says as much, IT'S AN OPEN STANDARD FFS.
Where Y and X is swapped and A and B are swapped
Quite a nice little UI there.
I like it. :D
Not as nice as pterodactyl, but it do be nice.
htop :')
True. Usb a is just pointless mostly nowadays. Micro b at least has some reasons since itâs compact and needs lot less contacts with pcb, making it better for some stuff.
Also lightning being lot smaller (but too slow nonetheless so still sucks), but usb a is just, old standard not upgraded to keep it compatible with old stuff.
Itâs the Linux/Linux users issue
Without users not enough stuff on Linux
Without enough stuff not enough users.
Usb a is just still in some cases too widely used and without everyone taking it of mobos, it will. But they wonât since compatibility and stuff
Ngl compatibility can sometimes go eat a dick.
I'd be fine just trashing USB B as a standard entirely, fuck compatibility, segregate the port to docks.
Even though usb a may mostly disappear one day imo.
Still usb a compatibility.
I disagree when it comes to micro b. Have been trying out designing one very small thing year ago and usb c was just uselessly complex. Too many contacts, too much space, also idk if there still is fully smd usb c pcb connector. For smaller stuff micro b can have itâs advantages
I was planning to use usb c but because of this stuff ended up going for micro b.
Ah yes, but what're you designing that both needs micro B and I can't attach to a dock to save myself the trouble?
I am baffled by you people
There is no reason for the steam deck to have USB-C nor USB 3
USB 2 is so old and perfectly fine to run any wired periferals
USB-C would just make it so you run a dongle whenever anything wired needs to be connected
The only thing where I'd say it would need the high speed USB would be external storage or a flash drive

Was basically a sensor in enclosure with mcu to control stuff, also had 3d design of enclosure stuff but software was why itâs still not finished. But it was a small thing that depending on where dock is may not work well there, and it was really small so usb c size mattered.
Was also really focused on design.
Sounds to me like it doesn't justify needing to slap a Micro B onto my laptop.
When in 2027 everything wired has USB-C plug then lets talk about USB-C ports
Usb a far from pointless
I bet in 2027 everything will be wireless anyways
And I bet the Steam deck has Bluetooth 5.1 support
I mean apart from past compatibility not sure if it has any advantages
Keep the ports around, but goddamn it please can we stahp filling bigger devices with almost certainly pointless shit. Especially when extremely cheap adaptors exist.
Itâs not small nor really good at anything special
Exactly why, fuck adaptors
I don't need more clutter in my household
Or we can not waste valuable space on ports you'll use once every 4 months.
Adaptors for literally everything, like what is this, a workshop?
TB port on an AMD solution
For a maybe
pepega
Micro b for almost anything you can use A -> micro b cable
TB is an open standard now, 4head.
You think the fact it's an "open standard" means AMD will just start using it
Was also meant that way with thing I mentioned - usb a/c to micro b. But using c for it would just be inconvenient
Still need the controller to actually use Thunderbolt
Yes, that's also now open.
Afaik that's still Intel's property
From what I heard, the tech is open, the hardware isn't
AMD won't just magically support thunderbolt
Google fu will fix this.
Then again isn't the whole Thunderbolt thing just a marketing term for ultra high speed USB
That'll happen anyways
No.
TB is specifically very different from USB.
Way higher power delivery and direct PCI-E connections, for example.
You can accomplish the same with USB, but as of now it's very, very different.
Tbh I wish I knew software programming enough to finish that thing. Always wondered if people would have interest in it if it would go to Kickstarter or sth similar.
But it was just design I really liked.
You had bottom of aluminum enclosure, pcb part, plexi part in middle and then top that had shape to basically cover everything, also aluminum. Maybe would need some other parts in between or other changes though
USB 40 can do 40GB/s, yeah.
Hmm, I should check out some comparisons between USB4/TB4.
I want to run external GPUs too, but yeah I doubt Intel will allow that to happen just yet
They don't want more reasons NOT to buy Intel's mobile solutions
Also reason I would want it to go to like Kickstarter is that small amount production would be expensive since even one piece, added single time cost from very small traces and holes makes it high. While mass production it would be cheaper. Even though idk about the alumium part. It was also really small.
Especially when Ryzen 5000 mobile processors are slapping Intel all day every day
(although early Alder lake benchmarks do make it look hyper good tbf)
Raptor lake when?
Ngl Alder Lake isn't going to save anything.
AMD will just do Ryzen 6000 and Intel will go back to pepega mode.
Raptor from what I saw looks like a small step compared to Alder, just enhancing the node
8 perf cores and like 32 small ones or something
So if AMD can score like +40% more perf with Zen 4, it'll defo be competitive with Raptor
I mean to be totally upfront
When was the last time they were this confident
AMD isn't any less confident they promised like 50x better AI perf on their procesors by 2025 or something
But Intel defo has something good in the labs
Companies in shambles, consumers win
If only the scum that is Nvidia finally get some competition
I mean...
Teams red and blue are both trying to step up.
But with the utter freak known as the 3090Ti...
Yeah idk if there's much chance.
Wasn't Hopper supposed to release late 2021?
shrugs
All I know recently is 3090Ti 450W TDP.

Literally a 450W card. Actually BRUH.
NVIDIA Hopper GPU to tape out soon A new rumor suggests that NVIDIA Hopper could tape out soon. NVIDIA Hopper architecture was teased through many leaks for more than 2 years now. The architecture is NVIDIAâs first approach to Multi-Chip-Module (MCM) design and direct competition to upcoming Intel Xe-HP/C and AMD CDNA2 GPUs. Yesterday a [âŚ]
Yeah something like late 21/early 22
I mean 3080 considering price/performance was not that bad.
⌠but 3090
3090Ti uses more power.
3080 has an insane msrp
Thatâs why I like to play games on my electrical radiator, 2kw of raw performance
Strats.
Tbh pcs are nice radiators, no extra cost for them computing while heating up room. Thatâs why I have gone with intel. Now my house has burned down
Itâs hard to search for pcb photos when I have no idea apart from if they are amongst 10000 last ones, but also if the design I made this or last year. Really have no idea about time and timeline stuff before summer holidays
Tbf it is true. When you would use electrical radiator nonetheless mining basically just generated profit while doing the same. Actually not the worst thing to do since amount of electricity used is the same.
Problem is the cost.
Heater is like... $50.
Miner for the same performance is about... ehhh.
20 grand or so.
Sure but if you already have a pc
Unless you decided to just buy all of the R9 Fury Nanos. >:D
Also you can heat up not that big room which you would use rad for otherwise with a normal pc
If you OC that is
Also watercooling helps
And if you already have the pc for games
Like my pc atm would be useful as a heater, since otherwise itâs doing nothing at all in my room
This shit is awful. Tinkering with the miner atm and the little bastard refuses to work.
LHR finally got fully broken, but implementing it is a pain.
Also gotta wonder if that thing would work as simple. Since if everything worked as expected assembly would esentially be just flashing mcu, covering the pins with one thing, then putting 3 small casing parts on it and screwing it together.
But the thing was so micro that port already took up most of the space. Also moveable parts. Definitely didnât design it in sketch up too
Still tbh think sketch up is the best to work with for not too complex stuff
my personal guess is the 90ti is just to keep people ready for the power that next gen will need
which is coming end of 22 for both amd and nvidia
They'll just have good old IEC power connectors at the back or some shit
fuck it, 24 pin motherboard connector into the gpui
This board already established the need for multiple 24 pins.
Put 4 of em into the bitch.
đ
Oh my
I've seen boards like with no power on Pcie. You're expected to bring PSU cables.
why so many 1x pcie slots?
When you need a lot of PCIE addons... || for mining||
Mining board, you use 1x to 16x risers.
oop
I need to be connected to 17 switches at the same time.
For...
Reasons.
a lot of 3090s are doing exactly that lol
What is that? đ
My new Minecraft server :D
Its my old computer, we fixed it and slapped in a spare hard drive and its good to go
We are going to use it for more than a server tho, my friend is dealing with that though...
He setup a separate partition for my server to go on with its own IP address
Cool.
Than it was worthwhile learning, I bet.
Pixels always get leaked tho
Yeah but this time the leaks have gone really far
what is that monster made for
IP
tmw u dont use winscp and putty
I love Ironside. They're a bunch of zoomers. But... They've committed to adding a fan for every 3 subscriptions to a PC build.
They're at 30 fans now... thirty. xD
O.o
z570-pro? I thought it was x570-pro
They maaaaay have written that a bit fast đ
now i take out a million dollar loan and make em add shit tons of fans or what
Mining, obvs.
Honestly the most incredible thing about that board isnât the purpose, itâs the price.
MSRP of like... $130.
They sell for well above $800 now.
anyone wanna buy a framework laptop
i offer 3 dollarydoes
Can you buy me one also and ship me it cause they don't sell to here

I love the passion into when he says nugget
Unpopular opinion most longer time DankPods viewers can probably agree with
He's losing his touch
I feel his rush of popularity made him churn out way too much content where he sounds like he's losing passion
Comparing his old "Puckcells, nuggets" and just overexaggerations are just far more effective that his new ones, they are more grey and bland in comparison

Hmm, so it seems like front face is scan depth sensor seems to be more accurate then LiDar by quite a bit and is capable of scanning stuff with lot of details
now in english please
Actually kinda impressed by it
meaning it seemingly can scan your face with considerable detail.
Face ID depth sensor on 12 pro max seems to be more accurate than LiDar (or just apps using LiDar suck at it) and can actually measure stuff with quite high precision.
ah
Basically. Which LiDar I donât think could do. The resolution, well, is supposed to be 0.5mm
Think the precision is lot lower on LiDar, like 2 or 5mm min.
But the fact that app that before had settings for LiDar scan has downgraded to having file size limit, while another one lacks settings makes me wanna make a custom app for it, if I would be able to
Also almost all apps lack some basic stuff in LiDar mode like edge/straight line detection which could really help with how stuff looks
heh? LiDar stands for Light detection and ranging.
Typically, lidar-derived elevations have absolute
accuracies of about 6 to 12 inches (15 to 30 centimeters) for older data and 4 to 8 inches (10 to
20 centimeters) for more recent data; relative accuracies (e.g., heights of roofs, hills, banks, and
dunes) are even better.
Itâs basically a technology. But there are specific sensors for this, that are really accurate. I think 12 pros have like 1 or 2mm highest accuracy, while front depth sensor has 0.5mm
Used for scanning stuff, face authentification, cars (to scan around to detect other cars/humans)âŚ
Kinda sucks Tesla doesnât use them, imo would be best if it used combination of LiDar and cameras, since teslas sometimes tend to recognize humans as sky
iirc there's a company partnered with Intel that's making automated taxis that uses a mix of lidar and cameras
emperor elon didnt like expensive sensors that are unnecessary.
O.o The System76 Thelio Massive can have 2 CPUs and 2 sets of RAM
WOAH
Fucking hell :O
Up to 4 GPUs.....
welcome to any workstation cost
2 CPUs, 4GPUs, 2 sets of RAM for each CPU
but how..... how big is this computer?!
Thelio Desktops boast an arsenal of components for maximum configurability
to achieve the epitome of performance. System76 computers are custom-built
to run Linux flawlessly.
Wooden cases, can choose a range of wood to use
yeah was gonna say welcome to any workstation.
two cpus isn't that surprising nor is the two sets of ram
well maybe the ram, i expect that more for servers than workstations
I do like how Nvidia names their stuff after famous and also criminally under-rated people from tech hisstory
Like Ada Lovelace!
Issue is that they are useful. Literally know someone who Tesla crashed into luckily at like 4kmh because it recognized the person as sky.
Swir ftw
Intel is back with yet another extremely cringey ad targeting Apple, and this time they brought out the big guns with over 4 minutes of desperation and embarrassment. Today we'll take a look at their latest creation and dissect every second of it.

what the fuck is Zen3 XT compared to Zen3D
same as zen2 xt probably
đĄ how dare you! emperor elon best! after tweeting my rug-pull coin to cash in. elon knows all. No need for accurate sensors nor ability to see cars normally out of view(directly in front or behind for instance).
what was zen2 xt?
exactly

sigh
well I'm wanting to upgrade the CPU but someone recommended me to look out for Zen 3D
Intel are so far up their own ass, it's actually impressive
I uhh.. got two... LOL
By accident they shipped me another. If you wanna buy it from me, Ill contact support and pay them for it and you just cover that if you want
No, is ok
I already got a laptop being built on the way
and yet you are talking about intel's spot so the message is clearly working đ
huh?
make it a normal boring ad and nobody talks about it
they are well aware of their position and do those things on purpose
Id recommend returning the product, makes it legally less of a headache tbh
^
They are just still sad after their breakup and now want to do damage to apple in return. Still didnât realize itâs over.
OMFH YEAH
Forgot about that
So far, no store in Ireland has the M1 macs
Sad
At least, the ones near me
My college someone has room with M1 iMacs. Cant complain.
But the mouses every time I enter the room lying on side with cable in bottom of them
I own an m1 mba and i like it
heresy
great screen, good battery life, mediocre keyboard, no fans, doesn't sound like a fucking jet engine taking off 24/7.
Sounds like the opposite of my current laptop
Nokia 3310
I fucking hate charging my pen
I wish that wasnt a normal statement
^
đ Vape nation represent
Sorry guys, I cant use my pen today, it ran out of battery
There is an adapter you get with it
To charge via wire but the v2 charges via magnets
đ unlike the joke?
Tbh I use my USB port even tho I have a mic port
Yeah the v2 charging way is definitely better
huh?
I meant audio port oops
On my computer, I need to use my headphones over USB also
cause window doesnt seem to like playing audio out of the rear headphone output
it seems ok with the front one though
but that doesnt sound as good
at least in linux
windows in linux?
I use my AirPods way too much
I want air pods
Windows: Cant use rear jack
Windows: Can use front jack but sounds far worse than using the same jack on Linux
Linux: Doesnt give a fuck how I connect my headphones
Once almost got a soundbar since I had quite a good offer for it but ended up not. Which was a good decision since now I am in UK where it would be useless.
Linux: Sounds ok-ish on anything
User problem
Using that EQ profile for my headphones in EasyEffects, make it sound amazing <3
if the sound is different on another port then it's most likely a wrong driver/default setting
VERY unlikely it's windows causing it
The rear port is directly attached to the IO on the mobo
The front is connected with the front panel IO cables
They are nice. Hope pro 2s come out one day since since normal pros release there would maybe be couple of improvements, like more efficient battery and stuff.
Still they are nice. Transparent mode is great but usually donât use it, since others assume I canât hear them when I have AirPods, noise canceling is really nice.
Also spatial audio, and sound overall, soundstage sounded better than steelseries arctis 9X.
Just wish they had volume control.
and doesnt have the "high quality japanese audio" quality stuff that ASUS claim the mobo has
I.. man I dont even know to continue
Marketing buzz
Yeah
you literally notice it's the same on linux
i gotta find some better eq software if i go back to linux again
No quality of parts is going to save shit design
so clearly it's ont he windows side the driver causing it as the drivers control it
Sound quality is not the same between Windows and Linux for me
some blew out my cans and some sounded too weird
yes but you said it's the same between both ports
Yes, but on windows, the front port is better than the rear for some reason
