also, in all fairness.
active speakers are usually already equipped with a (perceived) better tuning to each other, as it comes in a whole pack.
the disadvantage of this is, as you noticed yourself, having trouble upgrading them. active speakers always cost more, because they pack more circuitry inside them. which you also get rid of at the same time as the speakers itself.
of course, you can still put in crossover things that filter out hi, mid and lo's to different lines which are attached to the speakers of your choice. but it also means you might need an active subwoofer.
a "passive" set up costs more, yeah. but only initially. as you arent basically throwing away the entire setup at once. most often you only interchange speakers, and barely need more than 1 or 2 amplifiers. unless you really are an enthusiast. (like my old man)

though. i probably am telling the obvious here and basically just repeated what you know

the web browser i use on Linux anyway doesn't have webrtc compiled in, but js is there. only use for js in it is for the XUL addons

eitherway, if something is encased in a vm, why should i be worried about data leaks? unless it can breach the vm, i honestly don't care

at most what they're gonna find on the vm is me playing a video game.

also, if js is that powerful, maybe it shouldn't be? i mean like, loading stuff or downloading stuff from strangers is already risky as is, but it's a risk most of us take. but with js, it's a whole other level.

like if i recall correctly js timers were nerfed a couple years back because of spectre or meltdown, can't remember which
