That being said, you can handle motherboards like that just fine. Just don't hold it anywhere where capacitors are sticking up, cause you can definitely pop those off by accident.
I manhandle motherboards to take pics of them for reviews, and have never had any issues. Hell I test them running on cardboard boxes.

so when you are setting it to 4k, you are processing 6x more data just to make the shadows appear just as sharp when you zoom in on them 3x

when you go above the resolution you can drop the settings and retain the exact same image for some settings, and for other settings you are getting an extremely minorly different image that isnt distinguishable
