The first production of the Pi 4 had poor power design. If your charger is "smart" it won't be able to talk to the Pi and won't power it.

You need the official charger, or a "dumb" one that just delivers power blindly.

3 doesnt need 3 cables so use one that has 2 connectors and for 2 you should use 2 to split up powerdelivery from 1 to 2 cables

also declaring sizes beforehand and using uniform values which I can change at any time is nice. For example all the bars here are 3 wide but if I would want them 4 that is just replacing a number, same as making it wider, the triangle larger and so forth.

You'll have to manually active whatever login manager you choose with sudo systemctl enable gdm.service if you installed gdm
Replace gdm.service with your login manager name

Then reboot

You may need to activate bluetooth that way also but sometimes it does it automatically

The only major reason I upgraded was because 16 GB of storage was hard to manage. I replaced the battery in the 6S in October, even.
I still have my old devices though, so it’s not like that was a wasted investment

Apple supports their old devices for several years (the 6S is still receiving updates, even though it might be reaching the end of support) which is a big move for them, but at the same time, they push upgrades when something goes wrong in any device older than perhaps two years
