@timid chasm You gotta remember that Tensor Cores are used for more than path tracing shadows. The software application for RTX kinda sucks, but those cores can path trace anything that can work on vector logic.
Audio is a great example.
But beyond that the design of the cores and their utility means that programs like RTX Voice can very effectively filter out just about all noise except voices.
And, in future use cases you might see someone make a program to do photo editing easier, using AI with a Tensor Core enabled piece of hardware to snip layers and edit shit.
It's pretty much unlimited possibility, that tech.

looks like amd has some bins where they had 5600x/5800x with 2 chiplets instead of 1
cant do anything with it so far, but first impressions seem to cause it to clock ever so slightly worse with it, but low sample size so far
and who knows, maybe we get old AMD cpus where you can get lucky and get more cores once again :p
