It should not happen at all that the Wooting influences other peripherals. It's much more likely that there is a problem with the controller or driver.
Of course as long as the cable is correct.
Only if the Wooting introduces bad signals due to a bad external or internal cable or bad MCU it would be able that the Wooting would cause the issues.
The chance for this is very rare. Normally it's either all or nothing and a partial error is very very unlikely.
That said I know about a customer who had problems due to a bad internal cable causes the Wooting to not work on his systems while it worked on another one. But even then it hasn't influenced other devices.
I have read that a few users have trouble when a high polled mouse and keyboard are used on the same controller. To me this sounds like a weird issue and indicates a problem with the controller. I don't know anything about that, maybe this is true maybe not.
This problems seems to fit with yours because the Wooting has such a high polling rate (1 kHz). You should be able to test this by changing the polling rate of your mouse. Typically a modern gaming mouse allows you to change the polling rate.
It can also be that due to a problem with the driver your OS has trouble with one or all devices. So it's also worth to connect the devices and do a clean reboot so that the OS loads everything from the fresh instead of a cache dump.
Hello wall of text
I haven't had any of those issues
with 2-3 devices with wicked high polling rates, iirc
As mentioned I can't say anything about this despite that I also find it very weird.
I haven't tested this with a wooting though
But from all the things I read about USB issues on Ryzen systems it would not surprise me. 😄
I haven't had any on my ryzen system though
is it tied to certain motherboards or chipsets?
I can't tell...
@golden girder Ok, It's not a wooting issue. A random logitech k120 125hz usb keyb doesnt work in the cpu usb port, if I already have a 1khz mouse connected
also
Scan emailed me asking how my system is doing, i said its fine however thermals are really really bad... dont worry though ill fix that however if you wanna send me some thermal paste that would be nice 🙂
the bundle i got
Also zen 3 only has 1 USB controller on the cpu die. Device manager lists 3 USB controllers but 2 are on the chipset and only 1 of them handles the mobo backside I/O, one seems related to the frontpanel or one of the internal connectors. It's safe to be disabled if you don't use it
if they fix that I can disable both chipset usb controllers
You guys seen this madness?
Yep, that there looks like 2 Xeon packages stuck together.
a wanna be threadripper/epyc
Not 100% sure.
Looks a little different.
Closest to Epyc, for sure, it'll maybe have 100 cores or so, which is insane even by today standards.
there are already high core count compute units from intel
Xeon phi
like some crazy amount like 256
Xeon Phi is a very unique platform.
This is a more generalized chip.
And if you wanna talk core count, IBM has some old shit with 500 cores or so in a single compute cluster.
well my point is more or less, high core count doesn't mean much when the IPC and clockrates are low
True.
Though Sapphire Rapids might be the start of an Intel comeback.
That surprises me.
what intels true enemy is currently efficiency
beating the efficiency of the EPYC cpu's is some huge challenge
Thought they'd shrink the architecture to at most 8nm before trying to force IF tech in.
Showed their hand a little early, would have been better to pull a Ryzen gen 1 for the enterprise space.
Might have taken a few more years, but nobody is trading up for Epyc quite yet anyway.
i mean there is still the zen 3 architecture which could be implemented into a new epyc/TR series
Still wouldn't change too much.
on the high core count ones yeah not much
That kind of hardware swap on an enterprise stage requires months of work and the downtime can be immense.
Realistically I'd say you maybe do that over 5 months.
Just moving the new stuff in the building will take a week.
depending on the size of the server farm, thats quite reasonable
I'm thinking maybe 80 racks.
that's plenty
Sure, but that's what you'd be using Epyc for.
just the cost alone is somewhere in the 7digit numbers
Nobody is actually using Epyc for much outside of science or other high end applications.
You wouldn't take it for banking either, IBM's Z15 racks are plenty for that heart.
fair point
I don't see many farms using Epyc outside of massive 80+ rack scientific server farms.
Maybe Google, but other than that X to doubt.
Not yet anyway, give it a few more years before shit slows down enough that it hits the bottom line.
would be actually interesting to see the amount of sales for epyc racks compared to intel ones
over the past years
Iirc Intel holds 80% of the enterprise market atm.
But that's only because nobody has needed to replace shit.
Give it 5 years and that number will swap.
if intel continues the way it goes currently, no doubt in that
Though if Sapphire Rapids says anything I'd guess the number will likely fall 60/40 AMD's favor.
just alone from the costs
there is not many reasons left to pick intel anymore
stability was once a keypoint
Maybe, possibly you can pull the platform size argument...
But honestly, no.
I guess Thunderbolt 3 exists as well.
That hardly means much.
Apple is trying to go the Nintendo route.
Why share anything when the entire ecosystem belongs to you?
apple was one of the major companies that made use of the TB3 ecosystem
and since USB 4.0 is more or less TB
True, but they've always attempted to shift completely away from anything they don't own.
Lightning versus USB C says a lot.
uhh yeah
Thunder before that says even more.
@fickle ore
atleast something lol
Yes, what do you wanna know?
my MSI board is reporting 170-240% power deviation accuracy.. Idk if its due to ECO mode or MSI faking current/voltage again
also happy on my 3900x don't see much point in going the step above
I literally just turned off CP, though, so those aren't prime scores
I'm upgrading to a 5900X for my personal rig.
Was tempted to go for TR for the server.
I kinda regret that not doing that.
The value is useless without a clean 100% load, though
@zenith sonnet wtf, ok ty
Was tempted by the TR 2990WX for a while.
because of the lanes ?
Lanes and 8 RAM slots.
The sheer power of that CPU would have worked with just about all servers for years.
i mean it's getting quite cheap nowdays
@zenith sonnet any programs that show cpu core bins or quality?
HWINFO I think?
the 12c/24t TR19xx goes for literally 250 bucks
the mainboards cost more than the cpu
@fickle ore Testing each core and thread heavily.
@zenith sonnet cant find
Iirc TR gen 1 didn't touch NUMA at all.
not ? odd
Only at Gen 2 did they have 2 nodes, and that was only on the high end models.
then mixed things up
@zenith sonnet seems like I got good temps, no game has yet breached 55 celsius
how to test better?
What're you looking to test?
5800x
Ok, but what info are you looking for?
Efficiency? Max clock speeds? Max RAM speeds? Thermal limitations?
There's a lot to test, idk what you want.
at least you aren't getting 85C like callum
max clockspeed/temps so as to figure out binning of my cpu
Grab a benchmark program and run all cores at a locked freq, tune it from there in the BIOS to maximize all core clock, work from core 0 to 7 and maximize each core individually with voltage offset mode until you can go no further.
If you really wanna push shit as far as is safely possible you can fuck with base clock and multiply to run the CPU redlined all the time.
Just make sure you're doing water cooling or LN2 if you plan on that, 'else it'll likely die in a week.
Nahh I think I'll try curve optimizer or PBO +200? idk the terms yet
shrugs
I've always found a manual touch tends to work the best.
Had an old GTX 970 that was running dangerously close to voltage burnout for 8 months.
That card still works, btw.
let's see what prime95 can do
@zenith sonnet try run prime95 small ft's
my all core is with PBO auto = 4124 mhz, 74*c
Doesn't go higher than 74 celsius, guess I did something right lmao ppl are getting 90c insta
What's your cooling?
5800x + NH-D15s + NF-12x25 + 1 tube of kryonaut which wasnt enough so I added a bit of noctua paste and mixed em 😄

3950X at 4.92Ghz all cores only hits 80c in a controlled room.
The Ice Giant is ugly af though and relies on gravity.
Also about twice as wide as the D15
oh heck :D they improved th output for the find() command in mongo shell :D
its actually not all in one line now WOOOO
Ice Giant actually looks fairly cool, and what does it relying on gravity matter? Most configs allow for it easily and a lot of cases allow motherboard inverting.

Whenever I hear some company like Twitch talk about ads are essential to their business model...
I wish they would understand that ads nowadays are psychological torture more than anything.
Yup
they still are revenue
the alternative is charging users
which will hurt them and users more
it's the best of the worst really
They make so much from donations efc lol
Eh, how can charged business model ever be worse?
they need to make money somehow, ads do just that
@ashen spindle what would you say I should sell my 7700k and mobo for
Msi z270m motor
Idfk prices in the uk
uhh
around 200-300 euros for the bundle?
Why tho?
Because I'm selling my old hardware
never knew what an "out degree" is until during the exam yet I was able to write a method to find out how many there are :D I am proud of myself
public int outDegree(int v) throws IllegalArgumentException {
int count = 0;
if(!adjacencyLists.contains(v))
{
for(int i = 0; i < adjacencyLists.size(); i++)
{
if(isEdge(v,i))
{
count++;
}
}
} else
throw new IllegalArgumentException();
return count;
}
Nobody will pay that, I'd pay max 100$ if I were on a budget, but hey, ppl buy weird things
uk pricing...
even then I'd rather get something else
why do you think 7700k is worth anything?
I could get the whole thing for 250 canuckisatni kopeks here
I mean considering modern options
its already 3 gens old.. soon 4 gens old.. full of security holes and I/O is fucked due to that. No hardware fixes.
Its bad
sell asap if u can
Feels like the only thing you've done is bitch about how it sucks lol
@pale sigil just sell it for market pricing, or a little less if you want it gone fast
Well, yes but it isn't shitty to the point of it being $100
ngl $300 for an i7 7700k is dogshit
yep
that could buy a 5600X here
that's roughly 400-420 cad
Exchange rage go brrr
yup
and when you can get 5600 for 200$ soonish, bye bye your 300$ for a 7700k
its last seconds to sell your thingies
My GPU is selling for like £230 on ebay these days
hm
1070ti's are selling for something like $150-$300 here
what is with uk used prices?
Brexit feels bad, don't it
Well between £350 and 400
that's rough
On amazon atm a 7700k is £260
bruh
8700k is 350-380
amazon listing shows one being 640 cad bucks
w0t
it's literally cheaper to get a 9700k at that price
those only sell for 465 here
ryzen really is the value only option here
damn
im a moron
you can find the damn in and out degress by looking at the damn addEdge() calls
pro tip, reverse the if condition, throw in there, continue the happy path
heh?
typing...
public int outDegree(int v) throws IllegalArgumentException {
int count = 0;
if(!adjacencyLists.contains(v)) {
throw new IllegalArgumentException();
}
for(int i = 0; i < adjacencyLists.size(); i++) {
if(isEdge(v,i)) {
count++;
}
}
return count;
}

it does, and the exception works properly too

what is it?
oooohh
dafuq this?
bloatware
Yeah Crate is 100% bloatware at this point.
just like any other motherboard tool imo
Unless you need RGB...in which case you still don't install Crate and grab a better mobo manufacturer's software that isn't forcibly injected into a bloatware central app.
Uhh...
yeah i didn't like crate since it installed a ton of telemetry mumbo jumbo
hmm, seems a lot
Ah yes, telemetry, the reason we all install Spybot.
Fuck Windows 10 and it’s phoning home shenanigans.
Oh please - You already signed over your info a decade ago 😄
If you want to complain, complain about Microsoft forcing you to create and use a microsoft account to install Windows 10...until the EU gave them shit about it 😄
Like if someone gets your email on average you just lost your entire identity and now cannot ever realistically reclaim it.
People who worry about windows 10 data collection should just give up every device they have
Because it’s by far the least data horeding item you use
Yep.
Delete the email?.... sure it takes time to move over but it’s doable
I did it
Kinda.
If someone gets your email and can convince people that they’re you and you don’t have 2FA then you can lose access to shit way outside the grasp of your email.
Damage like that can cascade across everything you own.
I am not important enough for anyone to bother with that shit 😛
Also - My Gmail is further backed up by wife's account.
The best defence, fly under ever radar.
So uh... good luck.
I keep my emails separate so if that's ever a thing, not a problem to me 😄
I have 2FA on everything I can have it on and use randomised passwords for everything that has a password.
Random passwords are fun till you forget your master password 😄
Call me paranoid, but I’m learning red hat hacking for work, security means fuck all to someone who knows what they’re doing.
I'm kind of like my father and keep my passwords in a journal by my desk
sure and any digital data is irrelevant to someone who stalks you IRL, uses social engineering to copy your identity and literally becomes you
^
there is a limit to how much it makes sense to be on about securty :p
Friendly reminder that 95% of popular locks for your house can be bypassed in under a minute if you have tools.
Also friendly reminder that the tools required to bypass most doors and windows cost under $20.
Security is a nice idea, but that’s all it really is. :/
shrugs The alarming part is how easily people can get equipped to do it.
What, a few days on google and a few more for delivery and you can reliably get through one in 4 houses to loot whatever you want?
Hell, a lot of people don’t even install deadbolts or do it correctly, you can bypass doors without those with literal garbage.
Preferably plastic.
The chromax ones look pretty nice.
they released a line of black coolers did they not]
Do they perform as good?
i beleive the only difference was in color
Why does Noctua use the super ugly colour palette anyway? Anyone know?
i heard somewhere it was to avoid being associated with gaming and stuff
just a rumor
true or not is beyond me
True or not it works damn well, actually...
The ufo cooler
get an aio, make a noctua fan swap
then you are good to go
the fans that come pre installed with aio's is what makes them so bad
A12x25’s are great, yeah.
It's because the pigment changes the specs of the plastic used
The light brown is the nstural colour of the plastic used for the rotors
It's some actual high-end stuff
Ok, but explain why that makes a performance impact?
Say that it lets the blades spin 200rpm faster at tighter tolerances, ok then.
What would colouring the blades do?
What, you lose a fraction of a fraction of your performance? I don’t see it.
Because the rotors expand with time, and the black dye speeds up that process because it makes the plastic weaker
And they can't keep the same tight clearances
Why not use a stronger and lighter polymer?
They’re certainly not using the best they could.
If they could, they would...
They're using some custom high-end shit
That price doesn't come from nothing
Hmm.
Give me carbon nanotube fans.
I want them coated in vantablack.
No reason other than awesome.
Maybe one day
Dunno how moldable or brittle they are, though
The NF-A12x25 has 0.5 mm or so clearing between rotor and casing.
And it needs to maintain that for 7 or whatever years of warranty while running at max speed without the rotor blades stretching from centrifugal force
That's a long fucking time for a polymer
Add just a little dye to mix and it starts scraping and eventually breaks the blades off
the plastic they are using which they are injection molding in masses is pretty unique due to the required heat to make it work at all. which is at above 200C
that's not easy to do nor achive
there are plenty of reasons why those fans are so expensive aswell
But also, it's an eye catching unique look, I like it
This shit is cursed
what is?
The fact that my VII only draws 140W giving me 'expected' FPS in CP
cheese pizza? :p
I'm sure there will be mods...
lets not talk about the other definition of CP...

Sold me gpu for 220 quid
@cursive summit ^
did a scan on it and no flags
sold me first item to a reddit pleb
eh i got offered 15 quid for the dh15....
5950X 'on sale' over at mindfactory for 889€
Also, considering Mindfactory actually sold some 10-12k Zen 3 CPUs already, I do believe that there has been stock. But even more demand
Unlike GPUs, were they sold a couple hundred Ampere GPUs in 2 months
I'm not buying a card from anywhere close locally
Fuck these prices
It'd be cheaper to order directly from America and pay damn taxes
no not really, gpu situation is different with extreme demand and low stock, so the stores should adjust
not gpu
but it's otherwise quite normal to buy something where you know the shop will get it but not quite when
idk seems quite normal then to me
most of the time stores here list an ETA date, if not you can still buy if you know they will get it but logistics dont tell when
Coming from a i7 2600k to a 5800x, the difference is so huge. Even playing OW before at lowest setting 50% render scale, at 180 fps I couldn't see anything properly when tracking at high speeds close range (tracer) and now with 5800x at same fps capped, everything is so visually clear. Not to mention when I put 300 fps stable, I can actually see shit.
I didnt think it would be this big
on a 144hz monitor
its crazy
yea
anyway my i7 2600k was 180 fps stable aswell
but I couldnt see shit in-game if I tracked fast
I guess the frametimes/stutter was that bad even if the avg frame was stable at 180
welcome to the master race bruv
That's not bad for a 9! year old CPU 😛
10 😛
Interestingly, my GPU only draws 35W when I'm in the pause menu of CP. Merely 12W more than idle. That's quite something
The main menu is basically just 2D surfaces.
Not much to do.
Compare it to a game with a 3D modelled main menu like... Starcraft 2
Now compare it with a 2D game like Graveyard Keeper, which burns 50W at 60 FPS in the main menu. CP runs at 141FPS.
Just over 10W more than full idle power draw just for pausing the game is pretty damn good for a 3D game
@ashen spindle In Valorant the SIM frametimes are 6-8x lower than i7 2600k btw, 0.5-1mS.. Cpu seems to able to push 1-2k fps, unless RHI thread is somehow bottlenecking total throughput (RHI is 0.3-0.5ms)
😄
yeah sounds about right in comparison lol
for reference, i7 2600k SIM frametimes were 3-5ms, RHI 1-2ms
crazy 6-8x improvement XD
@zenith sonnet its impressive how heavy graveyard keeper is
plenty of stuttering too :/
Starbound stopped lagging after the upgrade, lol
@zenith sonnet yo, can you get 2000 FCLK:UCLOCK?
my avg volts are 1.063 according to hwinfo, and maximum's are 1.45-1.47 but I guess those are only for couple milliseconds right?
temps 30-50 in-game (BDO at 300 fps)
Iunno, this is after 6h of gaming
@fickle ore Not sure. BIOS issues. With F31L beta I was able to get 2000 IF, but with F31 stable I can't boot above 1900, and SOC power draw increased to 20W instead of 3W or something
Huh, weird.
The Gigabyte website still offers only F31o beta, F31 stable nowhere to be seen. Curious
What's your SOC voltage?
Mine's 1.175V on auto
Maybe that's too high
Huh, peculiar
Set SOC voltage manually to 1.1V in BIOS
HWINFO reports correctly
Ryzen Master still shows 1.2V
Apparently this case's airflow and temps stay the same regardless if the front panel is on or off
🤔 thats nice
Usually the case
pun intended?
No but I'll take it
:')
@zenith sonnet idk where can I check that?
my games don't boost to max (4.8ghz) idk whats going on, everything in ryzen master is in green not even close to 100% (EDC, TDC, etc) and temps only 54 but Overwatch is pushing core 1 and core 5 to 4.2 ghz
only benchmarks boost to 4.8ghz
@zenith sonnet Im so pissed. Benches run all cores at 4655, but OW only loads 2 cores up to 4.1ghz, not beyond that? Wtf.
Yeah yeah it hits the engine cap of 400 fps but still why not full clocks?
Im selling my mobo/ram/cooler/cpu/psu/ssd/hdd for 400 pounds potentially.
What ram?
hyper x 2133
xD
16gb
bit under what ive been offered for selling all parts seperately
bt if i can have someone pick up the entire thing
fuck it
easier
Maybe it does not need to run faster?
Also, if the games loads more threads, it'll not boost as high
clean
I wonder if there is a way to modify the w10 desktop to make it look a bit nicer
use fluent file explorer
and windows terminal with the acrylic background enabled
I just realised how massive my motherboard is, Im watching a build in the case I have on youtube and their motherboard doesnt get as close to the top panel as mine does
oh wait, its just the close up that makes it seem like a larger gap.. oooh oops
only 1C difference with the front panel on and off :P
an overclocked intel core i5 8600K @ 4.9GHz
the case is a cooler master masterbox nr400 with ODD
but what about gpu temp, cpu rarely matters
no front panel off for that one?
yes, hence my question if the panel on/off comparison was only made for cpu temps
yeah...
bit pointless review then
assuming itll be the same as the CPU temps with it off
???? no lol
or maybe more cause the front fan is lower so its blowing air to the GPU more than the CPU
yeah idk where that is from but I don't know if I'd trust these numbers, there are so many unanswered variables that seem to be missing
overclocked
yeah, he doesnt discuss the fan speeds
but he says he built the PC with the molex connector so that the fans are at full speed
its his temp testing build so I assume so?
Who tf tests a system with stock fans at max speed what
to test the case as default airflow as possible
fans at 100%
Shit temps
AMD
no thats you breaking your stuff again
anyway idk where those case tests come from, but from what I've seen they don't seem to be very good
my cooler is in stock
yet my actual order aint been sent out
eh
theme innit
i loved my dh15 tho
liquid coolers are just pretty simple to install and maintain
I like them
nothing wrong with a giant heatsink either
sometimes the heatsink + fan can cool better than an AOI
100%
I prefer air cooling
honestly i really do
but theme
yeah, AIO is far prettier
That feels like a very unique instance though
I guess if it's the size of a jumbo jet, sure
but my only experience with an aio is on a gpu where no air cooler could compare
almost on par with a h100i
This is so confusing
They have stock in even though I ordered mine a week ago and haven’t had any notifications
Shouldn’t they be sending orders already made out before making spare stock live?!?

oh I assumed that was a new video, was wondering why th case looked so familiar

watching the water go from the distribution block and going along the tubes is so satisfying
I enjoy watching this other channel where some guy mills out a plastic block for use as a distro plate
Sounds like a fucking animal
So apparently when you make sure that the pump for you AIO isn't trying to be controlled your temps stay way lower on avg 😂
It's a 3-pin so I didn't think to check it and apparently it was alternating between on and off on and off, haha. Always on works way better 😛
And then you got custom loops and get massively lower temps
why does this look like terminal output?

slagging them off etc
but OCUK are literally doing the same....
everyone instantly called that out
lol
bitch
i was having fun
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/exchange/exchange-online?activetab=pivot%3Aoverviewtab also im tempted

Scalpers will happily scalp.
Any argument made is a self delusion to make themselves feel like they’re doing a service, basic human psychology.
Works on religion, politics, scamming, scalping, hacking, activism etc.
Most fields in the like I find tend to fall into extremes of one sort or another, these arguments tend to be needed to keep a group going in extreme leanings.
How the heck does scalping bring the lines to equilibrium? It's only disincentivizing buying the cards for many.
And "toy for babies"? how the hell is a $700 graphics card a toy for babies?
Scalpers also make me mad, so I don't blame you for fuming at this, as I am too.
Steelseries really sucks
It does
IT DOESN'T
Name a single product that isn't overpriced 😛
Full disclosure i didn't read anything above it does
Dunno Wooting is overpriced af too
Subjective.
The quality is great for the price but boy it's expensive
It's either buy a Bugatti or a Golf
Both drive, but one's just whole lot more reliable and flamboyant
Which is why the Korean one is a great way to get into it.
Though i do have personal issues with the lekker pricing....
ngl
Kick him out of the Wooting family, he's a traitor
Not a traitor haha
The thing is, if i was to ever get a lekker i wouldn't mind because well i know what im getting from a personal and inside point of view.
I just see value differently.
Even though i have 3 Wooting ONEs
i think value comes based on income
Personally don't mind scalping of these kinds of things much.
I rather have either the manufacturer or the actual store raise their price though.
It's ultimately supply and demand, if there are enough people willing to buy at a higher price, I see nothing wrong with allowing people.
Also can someone help me find a router
I mean, apart from their keyboard being worse than wooting LE
The problems with headsets of steelseries are just... they had years to fix it and yet they did not
#GrabAnyMeshRouterYouCanAfford
What does “mesh router” mean?
Intelligent routers that can link up with each other to create a seamless, network.
Sounds good
Are you on about a WiFi AP then because routers... Route
You folks are so stuck in the stone age 😄
Routers (or rather gateways) just combine everything these days.
No one buys an AP.
(Outside of corporate sized environments anyhow)

Ah yes, cloud
Router as in... yanno one i can connect to my isp router in modem mode
Any will do
fritzbox, ubiquity, look at models in your pricerange and you're good to go most likely
also
this epic quality nzxt pump is making death sounds, what does that mean?
That it's dying

deth
rma it
insert meme about mounting it correctly
Radiator has to be above the pump, tube ports facing down preferable if mounted vertically.
you a naysayer mansen
engenius sounds like a no go with that cloud management stuff
@ashen spindle holy shit that luck bro, one of the 4 dram sticks were broken. Wonder if I can claim RMA now and tell amazon it was from the batch that I paid? Not the one that was given me for free (arrived when I had cancelled)
:<<<

Im booting atm with 3 sticks, is that better than 2 sticks? or does it reduce performance?
is there such a router that allows vpn only on ethernet and normal on wifi
i doubt it
yeah just claim RMA, I doubt they will check it's from another batch or not
kk, do u think I need to send back both sticks of kit?
@pale sigil not sure what you want, but im prettty sure you need to move to managed switches
just keep 3 I'd say
That stupid stick wont even boot as solo stick in the system so I guess its broken, right?
All others work fine as solo
ye i thought that might be the case
its an expensive route
@pale sigil hows ur 5800x working
if the memory is on the QVL of the board, yes, then the stick is broken
oh
@ashen spindle its not, but its b-die. But the ram stick from the same kit works solo and both sticks from the other kit works as solo
so it doesnt even boots into bios with it?
i guess a good way is to have managed switch > vpn router > pc? and WAP for wifi.
Just grab a router with modem capability.
Don't overcomplicate this like you do literally everything my dude 😄
hm, could see if your OC is at fault and not the stick itself, could try and reset bios settings and see if the stick runs at stock?
@ashen spindle its at stock bios (2133/auto CL, tried also at 3200/1600 fclk, both fail
i want to have vpn via ethernet and none vpn via wifi
hm yeah the it most likely is an issue with the stick
Right.. Fuck my life.
but why
because i cba with my family complaining
lol
Also dont wanna deal with constant capcha shit etc over wifi
what is your deeper problem youi are trying to solve here
- LOUD CREAKING NOISE *
This - This is Callum overcomplicating this agian 😄
to run it via my router vs my desktop
no
i want all ethernet devices using a vpn
from the router itself
yes but why
He a naughty boy
and your solution is to run everything over a vpn?
/facepalm
get a seeder box if you're really paranoid
Intel xeon x3470, 12gb ram ddr 3, ASUSTeK motherboard, Nvidia geforce gtx 970, 111gb ssd
sweet mother of god
someone bought this system
@halcyon moss i like my freedom... my ISP fuck everything up.
So practically, what do you solve with a vpn? dns?
trafic shaping?
(can they? with eu net neutrality?)
(what good would that do with Brexit coming up)
(its not a problem now)
(but it's a problem real soon)
(14 days to be exact)

truly is Thermi 2.0
doesnt really matter what cpu you have, and if that is safe voltage depends on the sticks, b-die you said right?
I mean...
yeah
well, sure it's still going through the IMC but usually the limits it can do are more than the sticks can do in regards to voltage
on some ddr3 boards 1.6 was given as max safe voltage from intel but that's been a while
all mounted horizontally, pump as well
radiator obv above mobo
it’s been working well enough for the past year, only now i hear death sounds
idk how else to describe those
We are keeping all eu laws
yeah sure
you keep them until bojo or whoever is in next doesnt like them anymore
afaik its part of the agreement
the agreement that they never really cared about? yeah I bet they are gonna stick to that
what law? whos gonna enforce it if they break it?
haha disabling PBO on my system gets me from 5870 -> 5920 MC on cinebench20
hasn't pbo always been like this
dno
dude im at 70c
too much
heh
for pbo
not rly
on my custom loop it doesnt pass 60
PBO can go to 90c as per AMD
I'm on stock tho so it seems like I'm capped by 100% EDC/TDC, even if I have a lot of thermal room
i said for a reason, if you provide the required cooling which many don't have, ryzen scales the most with the temperature
I got adequate cooling
you see already a point difference just because of 5c
I got one of the lower temps in 5800x spreadsheet bro in both SC/MC
can tell you that even a 360mm aio isn't enough there plus lapped IHS
was already a hell of a rollercoaster finding the optimal setup with zen 2

did you try pushing it even more ?
idk im new to zen 3
considering the binning you've got
you might be able to get pretty high numbers out there
How do u know my binning?
by the average voltage and peak voltage you are running
idk looks bad, some ppl have less than me
on an all core boost
its 1,39
@hard thicket tbh looks like I got one of the average bins or lower bins.. my stuff is on the 156th row
thank
sigh
ive come to the conclusion that i need to dish out if i want fans that i can turn off the lights on
I don't know if I would recommend doing this per se but using toothpaste for polishing is a thing. So it could very well work.
In this case it was a € 10 screen, if you don't have much to lose, why not.
white cards look neat
Omg
I want one
How high frequency is your 5600x/5800x/5900x boosting in Overwatch?
I'm only getting around 4.1ghz on some cores
can anyone check 😄
Yes
nah I'm not installing bnet trash on my new pc
I enabled small PBO without clock speed increase, and gained 4000 points in R23
not like it would matter, since I doubt my gpu bound use case would peg the cpu to max usage :p
are you saying if I'm gpu bound the frequency wont boost to max?
I think it might affect it, but mostly that since I play at UWQHD, it wouldn't make sense to compare anyway :p
Yeah good thinking, I'm def gpu bound
Told ya yesterday
How many you thinking?
4
12v or 5v addressable? (4pin or 3pin RGB headers on your motherboard)
Isn't there something from called Quadro or Octo? That's really good software wire? Watercool or something?
Idk, asus aura
Out of stock everywhere atm sadly.
Two choices.
You use "oldschool" "dumb" 12v RGB fans (one colour, no fancy, different LED colour animations like you see on Corsair fans and such) and splitter cables.
You buy an addressable RGB controller (if we can find one in stock right now) and buy fancy fans.
By fancy I mean shit like this (timestamped)
Give your PC spectacular lighting from any angle with a CORSAIR iCUE QL RGB PWM fan, equipped with 34 individually addressable RGB LEDs across four distinct light loops. Keep your system cool with PWM speeds up to 1,500 RPM for the 120MM and 1,250 RPM for the 140MM version.
When I said control I meant rpm
Your BIOS can do that just fine.
You have three case fan headers - So a simple splitter cable for one of them would do you.
Ye but I want to do it via in os
Then you simply grab the software for the motherboard. Won't make a lick of difference.
AFAIK you can't control fans with asus?
of course if your mainboard RGB controll software isn't a complete clusterfuck
What exactly are you trying to do to those poor fans anyway
You can set curves and everything in BIOS xD
cough gigabyte
Well tbh
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-cable-y-splitter-3-fan-10cm-wc-9ak-ek.html
Grab one or two of these. And use the bottom two headers on the pic above.
Turn them off at night
Done.

@zenith sonnet whats ur ram timings atm?
16-16-16 XMP with +200Mhz
I got 2x8gb 3800/ 14-14-14-28 T1 @ 1.45v, FCLK 1900. On desktop atm. Will see if stable
yeah already got an error X_X
I needed 1.48V for 3666 with 13-12-12
how do I test memory
HCI
The DRAM calculator has a automated way of spawning instances
Just use it
Check every thread to like 300%-400% or something
Some people do 800-1000%, but I dunno
