nearly there, compressing to 100mb
Nitro Classic is like 50 I think which obviously would be super seeded by the servers 100
I found new shaders that are SO SO PRETTY 😍
this Kimmy guy on youtube has outdone optimum in the shill department by a 100 miles
shill department?
LMAO
shilling wooting?
just wait till you hear about this guy called randomfrankp
hes an og
this guy has a different vibe
I tried to compress it to 100mb but keep 60FPS but now its 1080p instead of 1440p
But wayyyy smoother
not sure if discord can playback 60FPS
it can

The shaders are way better in the night time than they are in daytime ....
The water sucks imo during the day :'(
Shame cause they are awesome other than that
tbh most Shaders are pretty meh during the day
and i never found one that was quiet good

I find Complimentary Unbound amazing during the day 😍
Can be a bit too dark at night though ... Maybe can edit the settings to make it brighter
They are my daily driver shaders
I'm just testing these ones in my video ATM cause they are a cool cartoon style with colored lighting baked in too
Anyone here have the Wooting split spacebar?
I really want a split spacebar, but can't justify the upgrade from 60HE. But I enjoy 75% more than 60%.
So I'm also curious if anyone have any intel if there ever would be an 80HE split spacebar.
And if split spacebar is as good as I though it would be.
wait wait...the HDMI Forum let their patches in this time??!!!
No
F
yes this has been known for months since they first started adding the patches for this
probably with the goal to have it ready before steam machine launches
granted, not like you really will need 2.1 for much of what the thing can do lol

Odd how iOS includes the notch in screenshots but macOS doesn't
IOS usually doesn't
Iirc
Anytime I've seen a screenshot or recording from an iPhone user
The notch is part of it xd
Especially the dynamic island .... That is just a black pill at the top of the screen at all times xd
Weird
It's just not there for me
Hmm ..maybe that changed that in new iOS updates?
Weird, I never had screenshots that showed the notch or Dynamic Island for me
@heady hazel not much but important 19mm CPAP tubing
damn its really not much
There will be more from the top to to the tool head though
In about a year it will be gone
CPAP based cooling sounds great in respect but is horrible in another
i think i need to learn metal craft, genuinely i am not sure how the damn licenseplate holder rusted through , i guess 3d printing is not ideal for that
Oooof
You can look into slm or dlms via china
genuinely i think the contruction is just bad
Any reason it could not be aluminum
Bolts would be steel sure
i wonder if i can get a guy to weld it back together rn
Probably
at least i was correct with my electrical issues , turns out a relay will not like 18 volts when its rated for 12
Never happened for me
it's only a part of it when the dynamic island is being used to display something
before dynamic island they were never in the screenshot
screen recordings will always have it because there is always a red indicator when it's recording the screen
am i allowed to ping mods for these in this server
ok i didn't have to
its visible if you have media playing or are in a phone call
aand someone already said that nvm then
Ooohhhhhh
Interesting .... Thanks for showing that different
also shows if there’s a privacy indicator
I guess that makes sense
The island is two holes in the display linked together with that area of the display turning off
The app doesn't see my keyboard and nothing helps.
I wanted to switch to android again but I think I’ll just wait for the iPhone 18
Why?
This one
I see
I think it's otherwise not rendered to conserve resources
If the Folding iPhone Ultra becomes a thing I might buy it
I just don’t like the idea of it not having Face ID
Yeah fair
Im on a 13 pro waiting for the new refresh
18 pro or iPhone Ultra?
whats the best way to clean a wooting keyboard ? if it has Grece on it from fingers and hands? ive been wipe it down and cleaning it with something called keyboard gell someone told me to try but i wanted to make sure if there not something i need to use for a wooting or if i shuild just use anything
Hi there does anyone know the customs fees to europe from g wolves i cant seem to find any info about that
For grease you should take off all your keycap and wash them in warm soapy water. Then while you're at it, take the PCBA out and get the hairs and dust out of the rest
Buying max been always dumb
Pro is the best
takes for ever to disassemble a two though
is there no easyier way for the pcb? last time i did this i broke one of the metal things that you had to push back down in the keyboard i know nothing about them but i have the tenz wooting 80he
Not the fold at least
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnyG_a1kosg
This shows you how to do it
Sometimes, you may need to fully disassemble your keyboard, whether it's to swap out stabilizers or replace components due to a defect. In this video, we'll guide you through the process.

LOL
is anyone else having this issue with valorant? it worked fine this morning when i played for hours and my pc has been on since then. now when i want to start valorant again, i get this error message
i already tried disabling and enabling secure boot. it does say that it is enabled in my windows settings
i just reset my secure boot to factory settings and it worked again. but i dual boot using linux. so i had to sign my bootloader and now the error is back...
does anyone have any other ideas? i feel like they might have just blocked dual booting
why sign your own loader when there is officially provided shim loaders
Can't you just use an official boot shim?
???
id assume given you signed your own one you have to add it to the uefi trust which changes the trusted chain enough for valorant to care
so yeah just use the ms signed shim they provide done
i have never had issues with this before until today
im not using a shim because i want a unified root of trust
by enrolling my own keys plus microsoft's keys via sbctl, i satisfy vanguard's requirement for a 'verified' hardware state while keeping my linux kernel signed and secure
the shim method often keeps the BIOS in a state vanguard flags as 'unverified' on gigabyte boards
Yeah.....
as far as i know vanguard doesnt just check if the bootloader is signed, it checks the secure boot variable status
ok but youd use default settings with ms signed shims
like i cant see why the ms signed shims would be worse off than enrolling your own certs/keys instead of using the factory default MS keys
i'm gonna try something and report back if it worked
I guess microslop has figured out that everyone already uses Steam. What they don't want is people switching to another OS if gaming continues to suck on Windows - using Steam's offering.
Using Windows for gaming is unavoidable if all you play are the popular online games
Really the only gamers who can play fully on Linux are indie gamers and people who play the few online fps games that do allow proton access
And any AAA that's purely single player
Though those are incredibly rare these days
The only game that I play, that requires windows is valorant
I believe apeks legends also has this requirement for their anticheat
Otherwise I’d have long been on Linux only
I may have to scrap my dual boot because valorant refuses to work right now
They actually suspended my account temporarily for it
Funny enough
.....GTA V Online was consistently within the top 5 games played on the Steam Deck until Rockstar banned Linux
but linux people are cheating
Maybe cause you turned off secure Boot to enable dual booting??
Valorant requires secure Boot
Oh not sure then
90% of cheaters were using linux for apex, you actually could see forums say step1. use linux for a long time
I never got that game working
Couldn't get past the vanguard boot up screen on my windows install
Despite having updated drivers and secure Boot and tpm 2 enabled
It’s not that difficult to set up
Maybe I'll try again on my new desktop
I think vanguard can detect dual boot and refuse to work
but they seem to have broken it with a recent update
They’re asking for my secure boot state to be in factory setting
It knows everything about your computer
Moreso than Windows itself does cause it runs at a deeper level on your system than Windows
vanguard has no issue with you dual booting as long as you dont destroy any chain of signed drivers or whatever else you mess up in uefi
also this doesnt even make sense
I have no interest in playing that game but does it block you even if all you do is add your own keys?
I never touched that shit in UEFI
The only changes I made in UEFI was to assign Fedora as my default boot option
Not through like MOK or shim or whatever I mean enrolling the keys directly in the UEFI setup
It does
Vanguard loads itself before your OS does
It's kernel level
It's there before you even get to the windows login screen
you do understand that kernel level means it sits in the WINDOWS kernel yes?
Yeh
It loads before the login page
and that the WINDOWS kernel is part of WINDOWs
It used to not do that but I’m experiencing exactly that right now
I'm too stupid when it comes to secure Boot keys and whatnot
Couldn't even get secure Boot to work on CachyOS ._.
It’s my main game and I want to keep playing it
vanguard sits at the ring0 level of the WINDOWS kernel, saying it knows more than windows doesnt make sense if its inside of it
I had it running with cachyos until an hour ago when vanguard decided to put an end to this
bet vanguard doesnt know about laptop news though
vanguard drivers gets signed by microsoft, if they would sign something that gets more information inside their own system than said system.. idk what the point would be
Does it still need to run from system boot? I recall reading they’d make it on-demand at some point.
its still kernel level yes
whenever ms changes and kicks everything out from kernel it will also change how and when you need to activate vanguard
Pretty sure they’re not breaking anti-cheats, just security software is being moved out of kernel-level. Unless that’s also changed?
everything is moving out including anti cheats thats been int he works and talked about for a long time
they have been working with riot before crowdstrike happened on that already
okay, so i spent a long time troubleshooting my issue right now
and i think this is the conclusion...
vanguard is actively scanning the cryptographic hash of the entire signature database (db). it realized the db was not 100% factory pristine and threw the STATUS_SB_POLICY error
at the same time, the gigabyte nvram is broken. it refuses to save the mokutil policy across reboots, meaning i can never bypass the strict sbat metadata check that the shim demands. unlike the boot environments in ubuntu or alma linux (which contain corporate-signed sbat metadata that microsoft’s factory keys natively trust out of the box) arch-based bootloaders like cachyos get violently rejected by the shim without that override
because Vanguard essentially acts like firmware-level malware that demands absolute control over my bios, a unified secure boot setup that natively runs both my cachyos kernel and vanguard on this board is mechanically impossible right now
I have to disable secure boot and change my boot order every single time I want to boot into linux
gigabyte skill issue, classic
atleast it isnt asrock
assrock
has asrock
lmao
well, and arch-based issue
but x570
have you tried longer striped socks?
yes, i used to wear those
i always though the best way to make arch better was longer socks and shorter skirts
tbf its supposedly an amd issue rather than mobo manufacturer issue
I meant the assrock one
no clue about linux things
No clue about Ubuntu things
I've stopped using anything Ubuntu based since 16.04 released
I know canonical is pushing AI in Ubuntu now though ._.
AI is not going to take software engineering jobs at Canonical, but other software engineers who are highly competent with AI tools certainly could
Bruh ...literally said that if you don't use AI, you'll be less favorable in the company
thats not what that quote says
As 2026 progresses, LLM-based tools are becoming more and more ubiquitous. Adoption across the tech industry has been mixed, both in terms of which projects are embracing “AI” technologies, and in how companies are structuring their adoption. As a result, I’m frequently asked about what Canonical and Ubuntu will do (or not) to incorporate ...
continue to measure them on how well they deliver.
...yep
Fully agree ...
no thats just factually wrong
the part about system integrators going out of business, the case of results are illevant
SIs can't get ram either though ....
Well, they can but it's hella pricey for them too
they can its just expensive
and if people are willing to buy it they will be able to sell it
if people arent seeing value in it they wont buy it and the price isnt staying up
are you teaching lana about supply and demand?
Ram isn't going to drop in price anytime soon :/
With all the companies pushing more and more data centers to be built
i thought people know how this works
Yeh I do
clearly not
the datacenters can buy as much ram as they want but if consumer sticks start to fill warehouses price will drop
ram prices only stay up if people continue paying it, if theres no demand it will drop
if demand stays we will see more dram facilities being built to produce more
it just takes more than some weeks so prices dont instantly adjust down but its not staying forever
tarrifs and such are worse especially if they are uncertain
and even if we say every ai company would collapse, the existing models wont vanish and hardware will improve
so even in that case ai wont vanish and just plateau for a while
I just want components to be reasonably priced again
Pretty much, I've built two systems this year and they would pay £300+
Crazy
Same with nvme
Any day now ram prices will come down and I will upgrade my PC
ram prices have already come down a bit
and i believe it will only continue from this point
probably not as low as it once used to be but lower than now for sure
would a black keyboard and touchpad panel look odd on a silver laptop?
like the inside of the laptop was black with a black keyboard and touchpad but the rest of the laptop chassis is silver? xd
Very
Black keyboard would look fire tho
Black touchpad is ehhhhhhh
Like the way MacBook Air and MacBook Pro do their colors is great
the keyboard is black with the mod keys being grey and the Super key being orange
yeh... I do like the black keyboard well on the macbook pros a lot
Oh ewwwwwwww
Yeah no, ts uglyyyyyyy
they also just have black or silver
With plain black keys?
Ok yeah these are wayyyyyy nicer
Minus the fat side arrows
I hated those on the old butterfly MacBooks
I don't understand why other companies copied that
Even after Apple changed it back
Also hate the half height function row too
Full height function row is wayyyy better
That's another thing I like about MacBooks
full height fn is very nice
Yasssss
Is this the bit we're referring to because this is all I see
not what i'm seeing on ram kits here
Well I guess I'll have to wait for my local retailers to catch up
Even then it's not going to be anytime soon we see last year's prices coming back
Very unlikely yeah
Starting up new fabs is going to be slow (if they do that is)
i dont think any manufacturer said they would make new fabs to counter this
and it would take years to construct them
Gnome 50 has a strange bug where the logout button may just simply not exist in the power menu ......
micron finished a deal last month for new fab space and iirc hynix already was building one before this started
but yes they are also not rushing to expand if there is not a clear sign that it is a demand that will actually last those 2-3 years for a new fab to not just run empty lines
Wait it's not a bug .... Gnome intentionally removes the logout button if only one user account exists on the system
i can get behind that but then can you even lock your computer?
ah oki then i dont see an issue with them removing the button
It's just stupid af
Sometimes you need to logout
Especially on gnome desktop since the only way to update extensions is to logout and log back in
Sometimes you just don't want to wait for a reboot instead
but i thought you can just use win + l?
That's just locking the computer
Not logging out of the user account
A logout closes the entire session so you'd have to restart all your apps and everything again
Logging out is needed if you need to change groups the user you are logged into
Or updating extensions
Or maybe an app needs the desktop to reload so you can logout to do that
unhide the logout option then if you want to use it?
Yeah
You can run a terminal command
But no regular user will want to search online or know or want to use a command to fix this problem
when an extension needs restarting the shell, you will see a notice on the screen prompting you to logout
so either you see it then or you just restart or you can unhide the option to not see the logout button
The other way to solve it is to make a second blank user account
Or have another desktop installed
Yep
Sometimes the extensions app will have a banner at the top to logout to update an extension
But only on the third party extension manager....the official one doesn't
Microslop added a new system driver to Windows 11 that makes it impossible to switch your default browser
Among other things
It's called UCPD (User Choice Protection Driver)
yes like 2years ago i think
welcome late to the party
also pretty sure if you disable the service for it you can just change the protected registry values again
For now you can disable it
not even like the idea why it exists is bad
They've been blocking workarounds since 2 years
what work aorund lol
its just a windows service
restart and done
its not running anymore
also its factually wrong that you cant change the default browser
its so binaries cant automatically do it unless they are signed with a valid ms cert
same goes for all the other points
its just so a random malware cant jumble your default values
if any of this applied to just disallowing it in general we would have had waves and droves of people yelling about it for basically 2years at this point
Ohh???
Minimum the EU would tear Microsoft a new one
i mean they already had this thing tearing them a new butthole when they force IE in the early days
That's why they probably wouldn't dare to remove that choice ever again
Is it still possible to get macros? If so, how?
AHK
But muh anticheat
Anti-cheat when pro-cheat walks in

A charger is not included with this e-waste to help support initiatives to reduce e-waste
at least all the corners of the display are round, unlike macbooks
and the top bezel has face ID unlike the macbooks
Charger would be the only valuable thing in the box if they bundled charger with Surface
if you complain about surfaces keep in mind without surface you would've never gotten the steam deck as it is
?
the chip in the steamdeck was a semi custom made for surface with secondary use of hololens
Could be so much better
so without surface any cpu option would've been worse for first gen steam deck xD
Surface Pro would be better if Microsoft made a good tablet-focused OS
iPad Pro works just fine with iPadOS
such pretty APU though
A lot of things would be so much better in the world if Microsoft made good things
Yeah... true
I had a Surface Pro 4 back in t' day
Good concept, very flawed execution
The Surface Pen stylus thing was cool at least
hey as long as others can use the hardware that microsoft pays the dev costs for, I take that as a win xD
Very easy to change the battery as it used standard AAAA batteries at the time.
You could just buy a two pack of Duracell AAAA batteries for like £10
I'm spoiled, if it doesn't have battery-less Wacom EMR stylus, I'm not interested in such device

I was going to buy this for my Thor 3
Feels kinda meh
I expected something... more?
Then the marketing was successful because you needed a video to lose that expectation
Corsair cable is the same, msi psu shut off is also dogshit
And most of it makes immediate sense when you look at the products, they are just trying to capitalize on electrically uneducated people buying these?cables that are often worse than just a good cable from your psu
I personally think if you care about your money you need Ampinel for 1.5k+ gpus
They could've done much more, there was very little information so basically everyone needed a video or at least someone testing it and posting about it.
If tests and videos show something is just snake oil marketing, why would the manufacturer risk showing that conclusion by accident. So they keep the information rare and vague
As soon as you see the cable itself (and read their description of the function) you knew there was nothing it did to change anything
As soon as i read what their apparrent specced Amperage is i knew it was gonna be trash because nothing about the cable changed. You cannot maintain 17A on it thats just not gonna happen
I did not look that deep into it, I just kinda expected it to at least be better than the cable that already came with my PSU as this will be replaced with the new cable in the new batches sold and it's like a 700 euro PSU.
I haven't seen any tests with the GPU Tweak III warning stuff, I don't know if that's available with my current cable either.
the question is wtf has seasonic not made a psu with per pin current
surface laptop studio and surface neo comes to mind for me 🙃
I'm ngl the iPad does solve the problem quite well with the Apple Pencil
Well we have Apple which is way better than Microsoft
Arguably Apple Silicon coming to Mac is what forced a lot of windows laptops to not be absolute garbage anymore
And now they are doing it again with budget laptops with MacBook Neo
emr is lighter though which is a big plus
think my emr is like 7-8 grams
apple pencil is like 2-3 times that
I buy tablet and pencil as "one device"
I don't wanna care about battery in both tablet and pencil
emr is nice as they all just work
i really really wish boox would make a palma ultra with emr
One of the main reasons why I went with Note Air 5C
the pro has the crappy battery pen and i hate it
yet another windows sunday fuckup
MS Defender is reporting Trojan:Win32/Cerdigent.A!dha
but it seems to just be false positives due to certificates running out
i had an ultra c now i also have a air 5c XD
i miss the bigger battery in the ultrea though
but it still gets good battery
and the biggest upgrade, no track pad\
i hated the trackpad on the pro
one day we will get a emr palam and new x model
kills me the tab x c has front light, but no emr and the note max has emr and no front light
im hoping there is a note 5 max with all the features of the 5c
androud 15, front light, emr, and the new soc in a 13 inch
The thing is about Apple Pencil is that is has a nice place to go
Which is the side of the iPad
has a button and 4000 pressure sense, with no battery
Interesting that it has a clip on it
Also what kind of display is that?
eink
mine dosent have the clip
i dont use the stock pen
The clip looks nice tho
Could clip it to like your pocket
Although the nice part about the Apple Pencil being active is the haptic motor and the pressure sensor to detect the squeezing
my actual pens dont squeeze or vibrate
Honestly I would much rather an active stylus with haptics than a passive stylus without haptics
When working on a digital surface though it's very nice to have
Esp when you are switching tools
Does anyone know what i need to get so its safe for me to 3d print in my room
you can even get hard and soft nips
Nono the haptics is only for when you incur a function of the stylus
Like switching tools or showing the function wheel
you want a digital experience. i want a analog experience.
Fair
i want something that emulates pen/pencil on paper
I just feel like I take notes more efficiently this way
i dont even look, just write
I can't write without looking at what I'm writing or else my extreme side of dysgraphia would make my writing illegible.
😭
mine is illegible to everyone else
Lmao real
Throughout the entire span or momentarily?
I think windows fucked up again
false alerts from defender apparently
Ah I would not see that as a big deal
False positives are a common matter
i just write just like on paper
you look at paper when you write down?
yea, was just scared for a second after windows told me I got a trojan
I do, otherwise my writing is all wavy
so its notes not a presentation XD
A perfect notepad and reader
E-ink is amazing
not all the time
I love this guy XXDD
@empty wren printing tpu means nearly no retraction, managed to clog my dual gear extruder
do you have a direct drive?
you need a shit ton of retraction for tpu
if you have a bowden, good luck with spring materials
yeah direct drive i have read that you do not do any retraction for tpu
you need MORE retract for tpu
you have to do the normal retract, then the spring of the tpu
so if the tpu compresses .5mm in the hotend you need to add .5mm extra retract
also adding a fixed input ptfe tube will help
disable zlift, add in a wipe
limit flowrate to like 5-10mm^3
you ahve to be smart with retract and tune it
some guides say disable retract because over retract will jam the extruder
its better to actually tune it
that happened yeah jammed it, im currently printing the coaster in pla instead of tpu just for fun, i have to say creality pla is garbage compared to geeetech
yeah
for any 3d print, you are limited by the input material
needs to be good quailty and dry to work
i might need to dry the tpu aswell
i mostly do not but eh cant hurt, im still baffled how bad creality pla is compared to geetech which i buy for 5€ a kg
but yeah get a retract tower test
start at zero retract
and slowly go up until its perfect
like start 30-40mm/s max, 5mm^3/s max flow, disable zlift, wipe on retract, and 0 retract
then slowly increase retract
once that is good, save those settings
yeah ill try that for now im just printing pla and it works well , just had to make sure nothing else is messing up
then increase max flow
see if you can still get good retracts
the little retract tower test is fast
you can cancel the test when it starts stringing
im just checking its not a gcode error
macOS does the same shit as Windows when you plug in a new audio output ..my ears hurt now
it sets the volume to 100% for new audio outputs ffs
yeah i hate that
i swap between analog/hdmi output and sometimes windows just resets the volume
yeh :/ luckily, it seems that Linux will not change the volume when switching to new outputs
But it will remember it when you plug in the same device again
I use 100% volume when using my Echo Mini as a USB DAC so that my DAC can control volume instead and my desktop switches to 100% and back down to normal when unplugged
dont kink shame
hehehee
i use 75 because lots of content is clipping anyway
i have speakers
Liquid Ass contrast
a nice setup, but there is no point in 100%
as most games/videos dont do any normalization
yeh 😅
and shit just hits clip
like we have SO much dynamic range
but most people have ass audio setups so the default clips
Hey guys
love when people are like you need good headphones to hear foot steps
you can do the same with good speakers
yeh, and most shit is mixed horribly anyway so no headphones will fix that
I wanna find wooting 80he 3d models can you help me. I can’t find it on internet
Case 3d models
Is therr kdb fan case 3d models?
Maybe need to contact kdb fans for that question xd
Feels like barely anyone talks about gsync pulsar anymore. Kinda feels like it's a flop in the world of affordable oleds
tbh i know its out but thats it
VRR off
We limit frames in this household
AMD GPU owner cope
they are all around 500 usd
Enjoy your low frames
SORRY, I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER MY 4K240
I'm kinda interested in those 5K dual mode monitoe that are coming soon
1440p in the dual mode is much better than 1080p dual mode
Yeah, 5k2.5k look cool
did they even added more monitors that has GSYNC Pulsar support ?
there's like only 2 monitor with pulsar at my local microcenter
nvidia list 2 monitors and 2 more coming soo yeah i would call it a slop
still on zowie
Benq is paying too much
the only oled is the sony one lol
Pulsar are oled?
dafuq are those things on the side?
light blockers or distraction blockers
You know how horses have those things so they can stay focused on the road in front of them?
esports gamers are literally horses so?
proper gooncave monitor for added privacy
LOL CALS YES THATS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT OF

In the end Zowie is overpriced VA, so that they can spend earned money to sponsor pros, so they earn even more money from marketing
added privacy for only the top half of the display xd
I thought zowies are TN still lol
yeh probably, for max speed
still in my QDEL waiting room
someone in this discord paid like 800 for a zowie 600 hz monitor instead of an oled so the marketing is working
even OLED still have some compromises
VA is fine if its the modern samsung ones
The newer OLEDs you go, the less and less they have
IPS Black tech is kinda interesting too
yeah, the only real issue now is vrr flicker. Burn in is mitigated a lot and pixel struction is now normal
nvm it was a 280hz dyac 2 monitor for 500 instead of 280hz oled
I'm happy without VRR
zowie is only worth if you're actually close to being a pro
cuz that's what every event is going to use
If you play only CS or Valorant and do absolutely nothing else on your PC basically
what even is the difference between BFI and Dyac2 apart from dyac2 being sponsored in events?
Supposedly BFI is better for hi res/lower fps, and dyac for low res/higher fps
lamo
pulsar should be the best BFI implementation out of all of them
@empty wren honestly the gcode is fine , gotta dial in the rest
its different implementations of similar things, some are more tuned towards motion stability others more to not lose contrast, then different people react to it in different ways, some get headaches from one but not the other etc.

and bill already said that even if the memory team says there is some reason for this and its intended, they will have some OC menu option to change it, as he is srunning it at 6400 jedec ecc just fine
yep
In our base AGESA, there is no frequency limit for ECC or any other supported memory type
its 100% a bug if its all cpus as eypc 4500 has explicit 5600 ECC support.
there is even QVL 5600 memory for eypc 4500
you mean 4005
yeah
amds stupid naming
but either way, no way they would drop a major feature like like from eypc withouth changing it everywhere
am kinda disappointed by wendell going for the clickbait thumbnail when even the title is fine
atleast put a question mark
Should've done the 6-7 hands
if its not dead by then people can do it when they upgrade zen6 to 7 on am5
its not dead now?
whats not dead?
thanks ai, exactly the info i wanted.
@empty wren i have a suspicion why my z offset was wrong , not sure how that happened i bent it back and its fine
definetly will but since i did not have a spare i eyeballed it and bent it back, not sure what happened, likely crashed into a print
oh well
that is not too surprising had that happen to a cr touch solenoid
you got a few other probe/sensor options if you get tired of bl touch
it works well im just not sure sometimes it collides with prints it seems
it should be higher than the nozzle?
eddy current 10/10
ah you bought one yourself?
had one
which brand
guess
beacon3d?
BTT fam
it is yeah maybe it just accidentaly deployed while printing
its the same thing
nah
100%
The world’s first 3D printer surface scanner for a sub-micron bed mesh in seconds. https://beacon3d.com/
it literally dose that
go contact?
sorry i meant do contact
yes it dose
thats ALL softwar and the kipper devs made thier own version
both the beacon and btt use the EXTACT same ldc1612
i see so they caught up then
it was add in 2024
i see
it was gpl3
i see so i guess the only advantage beacon has is high temp
so dose btt
stock no, but it is nice to do ambient chamber 80c
60-80 isnt gonna do anything other than make cooling worse
why would cooling be worse
chamber hotter = lower temp delta
well abs/asa wants hot air
you still have to cool the plastic as it extruds or will sag/deform
well in that case can pump outside air in
also eddy dosent have a accelermoter to get hot anyway
then you will cause drafts
which will warp the part
you need the chamber to be at the same temp
well btt sells ebb36 and ebb42 anyways
abs without a chamber is not a good idea imo
i mean honestly, i still rather just circulate hot air or design the part properly
yes thats what im saying
asa/abs only need 60 to print
80 wont help
only time you need 80 is if the chamber is poorly deisgned and the average is under 80
i have read that some people say abs/asa looks nicer at higher ambient
okay fair point there, especially since there is a lot brute force used in the hobby
i mean the surface finish might be nicer with higher temp
the issue is lots of printers need 80 set to actually get and maintian 60
i will happily test that myself later
stick 4 or 5 sensors in the chamber to get an actuall average
i used thermal camera to build the ducts to get very even temp
but its easily because its a giant corexy
my friend is insulating his printer right now for that reason iirc hes got a anycubic kobra s1
with what i wonder?
i have a raidant barrier and 4 inch of foam
i have the rp2020 accel board
i dont use the built in driver one
that is fine
3d printed parts and a ton of foam
it has the lis2dw
i see, one guy i think used 3d parts to fill the inside volume
you want the most inside volume possible
well yeah but here i will paint the picture better
lots of air, lots of air flow and even heating
i use a pair of bed heaters wth headsinks on it
spool holders on the core one skus reduce the internal air volume
reducing internal volume means you have poor insluation or poor heat control
you want a BIGGER volume for more stable temps
if you say so
takes longer to heat or cool a larger volume of air
you dont want rapid temp changes
hmm enclosed is the way to go but i have to say for now my 50€ ender 3v2 is serving me well
you can put a box over it noah if you need a chamber
bed is 1/2 alu with 2 temp probes and 500w heating, chamber is 2 300w bead heaters on alum heatsinks with 4 140mm nocutas ppc for the air flow
i have 4 air temp sensors
yeah i could but for now i just want to prove people wrong that dislike the ender 3
are those fans not gonna die though?
ah slightly out of the range
and per nocuta that is only for the rubbers
the actual fan and motor are fine to 100c
at 60C that sounds safe okay, you cleared my doubts
it is an alright machine, but i think you will end up outgrowing it one day
oh definetly but i want to learn on it, i dont want to end up like those folks that start with a perfect printer , i want to experience the pitfalls and learn from them
that seems pretty close to the 4028 deltas some use
honeybadger fans are about the same
they sell other fans...
and that was for the acceleromtere from btt
itsonly rated to 85c
you know what i use for part cooling
in fairness to them there are no usb chips i think it was for high temp
also did you see that roetz used a mini cordless leaf blower in his latest video
after i recommend one to you XD
not yet
i definitely will nab the one from harbor freight in the future for disassembly
thats a makita so i get why he didnt gut it
i cut everything off mine
and run it off a esc
well i am concerned about the windings
why
and etc at 80c
correct
only motor is inside the heat
i added a bypass port that blows some air on the motor
for curtain cooling in the center?
full speed will literally blow the extrustion off the part
cpap fans are like 10-20 cfm
yeah they are doodoo
this is 100+
yeah
i am planning to ditch all part cooling for the leafblowers by the way
too loud for you?
Wtaf
yeah but that will have low cfm
better than cpap sure
I'm ngl, server fans make for better cooling fans
im running the leaf blower at 10~12v
ratrig users use 4028s
eh
they are pressure fans
Yeah
youdont need pressure
You do
plan is new housing and mount on print head
no you dont for part cooling
Yes? Because you are forcing air through a small opening
You need high static pressure
the tiny opening is because you dont have good cfm
the goal is to keep the part at chamber temp and get the extrution to chamber temp fast
Oh I use them for sheet cooling
Ouhhhhhh
High temp I see
i have a almost 1m core xy
withouth a heated chamber pla will lift
Yeah that makes sense
Mine is a tiny V0 meant to print fast because I'm impatient
LMAO
Fair fair
I have a clone mosquito hotend
nf crazy?
Yeah, volcano block with a flow extender and a 240W heater because running a 12V heater on 24V is a great idea!!!!!

geez
Oh and the bed gets to temp in 40-60 seconds because it's a 12V on 24V also
It's overkill I know, but it works
your bed is tiny though!
But I'm impatient
no im saying your be melting all the way into the heatbreak with 200w
thats the major diff in the mosquite vs magnum
is longer melt, and bigger heatbreak
Mine is like a mosquito clone hotend
Yeah lmao
the magnum has the condom
But luckily I print so fast that heat creep is rarely an issue LMAO
and lets you do 50w all the time
the mag+ has the longer melt and heatbreak to do 100
the prime has the ultra long melt to do 200w
you are running it at 50-60w max other than warmup
The one I have is like roughly equivalent to magnum plus because it has the extended volcano block and the flow extender
what is your flow rate on pla?
About 130mm^3/sec
It's PLA heated to 300C lmao
way over temp
If it's like 240C it's closer to like 60-70
you sure its 130 cubic flow and not 30
rip mechnical properties
30 would be CRAZY out of that hotend
130 is impossible
130 on 1.75 filament would need a servo instead of a stepper XD
I've seen other printers that can do 200 with a similar ish hotend setup
And extruder
Ohno it's not the one with the short block
It's the one with the long one
Oh I know
Wait, 130mm^3/s?
Or 100mm/s with 130g/s?
Because I'm talking in 130mm^3/s not 130g/s
no the filimint would be moving at 100m/s to get 130mm^3
Oh yeah I know
That's why the extruder motor is a nema 17
Running at 59.8V
At 3 amps
with a ~7:1 reducvtion thats like 200+ rpm
It's a Voron M4 Bowden extruder
I mean it's a V0
Although Tbf the racetrack test isn't the best test for flow
you know who roetz is right
he literally has a one off custom 4 into 1 1.75 direct drive
that he HOPES will one day do 200mm³
Yeah
With the racetrack test yeah
Which probs isn't the best test to use
the literally FASTEST 3d printer builder in the world with bespoke sls printed custom hotends cant do 130mm with a dual 1.75 direct drive
They used the blob test right?
Because iirc racetrack test is flawed by the fact that it measures up until you see extrusion gaps rather than mass difference
Which is probs why the racetrack got me results that was kind of high
the limit is literally the extruder though
Are you guys talking about leaf blowers
Yeah fair
yeah we are
Yeah hmm, idk what went wrong with my racetrack test then
i still need to racetrack test my Ryobi 800 CFM Whisper Series
Or what could have went wrong
actual printing
I see
Something likely went wrong with the racetrack test then
just get the extruder step/s
and do the math
130mm³ is ~50m/s of 1.75
thats like 4 seconds per spool rotation
Maybe the slicer messed something up idk
yeah think about the spool rotatiing 1/4 turn per second
that is a lot of filamnet
getting over 50mm³ with 1.75 is a ton
thats a spool rotation ever ~10 seconds
thats still crazy fast
When I did the test the spool was rotating pretty fast
It actually fell off the spool holder several times
Yeah
im lucky to hit 500 with a 1.4 nozzle and 2.85 filimint
direct dive with something that has 300mm+ stright sides
flat out it will do 450-460 in vase mode
Racetrack in a way is sort of a glorified vase mode print
generally it will do more in bursts
it will get peaks of 500 on ~300mm stright runs
450 is where it will do it continously
thats with a 1.4mm cht
Hmm yeah
and thats in a 35c chamber so a little preheat
with convection shield and ceramic around that
I see
a lot of people have put a loot of work into and 50 on 1.75 would be like top 10
really!? I thought it would be way lower
I forget how much the crazy VZbot hotend could do
but that one is also crazy
stock the hf nf is only 35
Goliath has a horrid thermistor location and also oozes.
hmm, if thats the case then the sub 2 minute benchy I printed shouldnt be possible either
but it printed (albeit it looks ugly)
this is very weird
if it was slipping then the racetrack test should have failed way earlier too
you gotta weigh the part after
the problem with the racetrack test is that its supposed to keep going until you see visual confirmation of extrusion abnormalities.
and it dose 50
so you cant really weigh it afterwards when you are done.
not 130
im talking benchy
oh the benchy
if it isnt 12.5g in pla then it isnt done
I lost the benchy but I can print it again someday and weigh it and compare against the slicer estimate
and then the percent difference is whats been underextruded
although its so weird that the racetrack test gave such a high number
again commanded and actual are different
tell the slicer to stop the race track before the area it goes bad
and weigh it
yeah, I guess the only real way to measure actual extrusion is the blob test
force it to extrude a blob, and you weigh the blob and compare against the theoretical value
iirc there was like a website made by cnc kitchen that does exactly this
and you just run the gcode
should probs do it someday
could do that too
https://wccftech.com/ryzen-9-pro-9965x3d-cpu-leak-amd-first-16-core-pro-cpu-with-3d-v-cache/
and then overclock it to surpass it all?
pro just means its the exact same with the pro validation for memory etc.
relabled eypc?
no
its just the regular cpus with stuff like extended bios support or validation for stuff
kinda like intel vpro and that
yeah 4005 is just ryzen with disabled igpu and validation.
and memory encyption i think
well hardware wise both of them are relabled desktop parts yes
one is relabled as epyc with whatever validation that comes with and the pro line has other things
@ashen spindle any laptop news?
yo idk if this is the chat but a
why is my wooting saying this
An error occurred while installing the Analog SDK
spawn wooting-analog-sdk-updater ENOENT
Don't install it. Also #1019755933959733258
Supposedly lower tdp though?
Of 65w
Oh is that why my shit just crashes randomly and i need to open a new tab
waow
Was about to say. I haven't noticed this yet, but I also have 64GB of RAM

I haven't noticed it despite only having 24gb on my mac, but I also have only 2-3 active safari tab active
And Brave's tab suspender is pretty tight as well. So I probably wouldn't ever notice this, even with 12 videos on idle.
Just don’t be poor and get more RAM lol
Reliable solution to googles vibecoding? Just adblock them!
hi guys i have a question so i did an update on my wooting and now its not connecting anymore only thing thats lightning up is E R In Red can someone help me with that
Doesn’t change anything since that’s just a configurable default value
Why not call it Pro 9950X3D? Why 9965X3D? What is naming dept in AMD smoking, really? First 9950X3D2 Dual Edition, and now this

4th May - first time Plasma crashed this year
And that's because of Firefox integration addon
Omg thank you, very much It worked.
because the pro skus have a 45/65 ending for ages now this is consistent
If they had the same name people would complain about people buying the wrong same name cpu with lower settings
I’m trying to buy a new laptop I’m going for the Lenovo legion 5 pro (4070, i7, 32gb ram, 1tb storage) but I’m not sure if there’s better options out there.. my last laptop was an asus tuf a15 (1660ti ryzen 7000, 8gb ram, 256 storage)
Ultimately depends on how good of a deal you can get. I was deciding between an HP Omen 16" (5060) and a Legion LOQ.
Ultimately depends on how much you want a metal chassis, the size of the screen and your luck with combination of hardware.
Do I repeat myself? Yes. I do do that sometimes. My brain fails to catch up to me typing 😄
I just hope I’m not making a mistake with the legion 5 pro
Weird thing is I feel like I’m gonna miss my old laptop even tho heh it’s bad and caused me a lot of headache
My old one has 8gb of ram so I’m sure yall can visualize the “headache”
Not to mention 256gb of storage
9950X3D Pro Max
whats the cpu in the lenovo
i7 is just a range
Not sure if I should do i7
Or amd
Oh yeah you’re right I haven’t decided on cpu..
Uhhh.. this is my first time buying a laptop and I think I made it painfully obvious
quin is asking for something like this: i7 4850f
well its not a decision you asked about a specific laptop, which cpu did it have
cpu is like the most important factor in most laptops to know if its a good option or not
13700hx
used laptop? otherwise thats quite old
No I’m trying to buy it new
Well they say it’s good enough..
sounds like walmart employee trying to sell leftover that they cant get rid of lmao
By they I mean like what they say about it online
what is it you want to use it for and whats the budget
Actually not that much!
I’m on the younger side of people and all I do is school
Some games that a gtx can handle fine..
For me what I’m tryna get is already crazy overkill
But I want it to be future proof
Because I’ll have to move to Singapore in a few years
well I need to know a budget number and an example workload of workapp/game or I cant tell you what hardware makes sense
That’s why I’m planning to get 32gb of ram even tho I’m a 8gb ram survivor in 2026
like the ram doesnt matter if the rest is too slow anyway
Just about the legion 5 pro’s price range..
And for my workload
just give me a number I'm not going to google what a legion 5 costs in singapore
Let’s see uh zoom.. Roblox some steam games that aren’t too heavy (the games I play already can be ran on a gtx 1660)
Uh well 1k to 1.5k dollars
anticipating next question, which dollars?
US dollars
