Not sure about M4 but my M5 has been great

Amazing battery life and 16gb of ram has never been an issue for browser use

And Spotify in the background

Heat has also not been any particular issue, never got uncomfortable to use

I have seen people use thermal pads to get more performance out of the air but then the bottom case temperatures can get up to like 50-60 degrees Celsius after adding thermal pads which is definitely outchies

Yeah the Neo is casted/stamped rather than milled from an extrusion like the air and the pro

Although I think the manufacturing process for the top case and the bottom lid is the same between all 3

Obv there are still milling steps with the Neo but the stamping helps get rid of like half of the roughing operations required is my best guess.

biggest power savings on intels side that make panther lake good is the igpu side

you dont get good battery life from efficent cpu cores on a laptop, you get it by decent cores and video decoders that can run youtube more efficently
