Weird it only happened today and I've had this new os/mobo for over a week now

One thing I was doing was downloading a game and using rvnc

However I've noticed the last few months my monitor will randomly go off for a second and back on.

Nah marlin is actually out pacing mainline klipper and actually input shaping and pressure advance exist in marlin too.

The potential nag with marlin is having to compile the firmware if you want to make changes. Klipper service only needs a restart to show changes.

Now if someone wants to have a reliable working system they may just use a version they install for a looooong time which then makes the above a QoL improvement rather than a necessity.

Reprap firmware handles the printer and web interface.

Most mainboards are not suited for it. The appeal with klipper was offloading processing to a more powerful MCU which perhaps made a lot of sense on the legacy 8bit systems. Though now there are even 64bit mucus. It may not even be relevant to use klipper unless you wanna chase speed, which comes with its own downsides.

funny enough, I used to have this exact mouse back in the day
I also faced this issue, I looked it up and the FIRST RESULT was that this is a known issue with ONLY THIS MOUSE xxxddd

It also worked just fine out of the box on SolusOS, so thats the distro I choose to use at the time

now I have my g305 and its flawless on Linux 😍 especially cause I can configure it using Piper

Bluefin requires almost 0 maintenance

you only need to enroll the secure boot key when you first boot after installing it but that just makes you pick enroll then type the password you get on the website

then after that, software and app updates are automated and install during your next reboot / boot up

Zorin is great, just with one huge issue - it's based on Ubuntu LTS
So you are missing out on a ton of fixes from new versions of drivers, as you only get critical fixes on LTS
Very likely that stuttering is one of these
