issue is generally higher frequencies demand more power

so if you are constricting the power given to the processor but the processor is told to run at a higher speed it can cause transistors to get stuck before the next clock cycle and if enough get stuck at once it causes instability and even a system crash

so applying any V/F curve modification from stock needs to be heavily tested for stability.

The tuf is a little bit slimmer on the mosfets and VRM, it can totally run the CPU, but i don't see much reason for it, especially since previous chipset and terrible I/O.
I would rather overspec the components, but it is 100 GBP diff, if this is the only place in your build to justify cutting corners and you have to, it's doable.
