8 pin are specced to 150w so even the bare minimum of cheapest china connectors that fit can be used in theory

in reality it uses way more but you cant just update the spec to draw more because then you run into issues with the lower quality cables and then you get fires there too

transient spikes depend on the timeframe you look at, rule of thumb is usually 1.5x to 2x the powerdraw can be seen as spike

I just wanted to say like, isn't the RTX 6900XT almost as good as the RTX 3090, so even that GPU is capable of some medium setting 4k gaming even in 2025. So yeah. It's a pretty good one. Even the RTX 3090Ti isn't necessary a BAD GPU in 2025, it's just that you can get better GPUs for sure.

exactly idle wise it would sit at 30 - 40 degrees it just be gaming some games it was extreme e.g battlefield that when i noticed the red flag so i replaced the thermal on it with arctic gx-9 i think it called i also used thermal grizzly which helped with the temps for so many months then it come back. i heard from my research alot of 6900 xt gpus according to amd says it normal but to me that not normal.

You can use either liquid or thermal however when it came to thermal paste I always went with thermal grizzly personally and then covered the entire cpu so it looks like a bed sheet been put on. However you could do the method most people do
