Yo
https://videocardz.com/newz/radeon-rx-9070-flashed-with-xt-bios-gets-up-to-10-20-boost good ol case of bad product segmentation so you can just grab the lower card and basically get the same performance lol
Redditor shows up to 25% improvement after flashing Radeon RX 9070 XT BIOS into non-XT card More tests are emerging with Radeon RX 9070 (non-XT) being flashed with an RX 9070 XT VBIOS, raising power limits and allowing much higher boost clocks. This is, of course, an update to our April coverage, where it was […]
@steady sail
Im not gonna try that with a single bios card
why not
the chances of it going wrong aint that big
I never did bios flashing
- you dont need spooky shit anymore
- im perfectly happy with the non-xt performance
Recently i dont really play games either
i decided to buy a low-profile keyboard that i can bring around and i decided on the lofree flow lite
its weird typing on low-profile but i like it so far and it sounds great, i feel like it isnt too loud
nice ncie
I dont usually use a keyboard with my iPad
but it is nice to have!
esp with iPadOS 26
ill have to get used to typing on something thats not 60% again lol
rofl
since i only use my pointer to type, my hand auto centers itself by having my pinky over the edge but now theres an extra row
now im just waiting on case and screen protector
screen protector should be here tomorrow but case might not show up for another week
ah
my domain costs £25 now
Time to port to cloudflare
Tbh I kinda like having the "free" email services on 1and1
Years ago I contacted support about transferring and they gave a discount so I'll probably do that again lol
Its not free 🤷♂️
Edited
£10/year let's say
Still pretty good for unlimited forwarding and 2 Inboxes.
Always wanted to self host emails but never liked the idea of my email server going down haha
Email self host is 😬
Perk of cloudflare is its allways just the price of registration
Don't get much for free but 🤷
i did that once
and i even support clients who do it
its not worth it
That's fair, I use it for DNS stuff atm
I use tunnels for all my stuff
Ye same
With um
Cloudflared
However my external server has an admin panel and I use web servers on that as I don't want to host on my local server.
I love seeing if mails get dropped due to antispam though, so for me it is worth it 😛
But I did come from a very interesting mail host that would block entire ASN's if they were too spammy
@nimble arch did you get the 3 months of free apple music with the airpods?
what happened to @a guy ?
I’m not sure. I already have it via Apple One anyway.
yo what happened to @aguy?
Who?
I wouldn’t know, I’m not a moderator.
oh so should i ask the moderator then
I got that with my old app2 when I first connected them to an iphone
aww shit i just wanted to know if its store specific or a general campaign thats going on
apples website says you get it with any device but only like 2 retailers mention it
i just wanna squeeze out all the value
Aren’t those promotions for new customers only?
im not sure i cant find details about that
hmm it might be
oh yeah found it
new subscribers only
one store is offering free apple tv but i wont bother if it doesnt have anything worth watching
There’s a lot of good content on Apple TV+
aight then gigantti it is
stock arriving on the 30th😔
delivery would take over 3 weeks from the apple store
man I cant wait to try them out
was the ANC up to the hype?
i have the 2nd gen
but twice is still a great improvement
also 8 hour battery life means I wont have to recharge during work😤
that is nice!
but even as a dev i hardly have my headphones on for more than a couple of hours
even as someone who works in a decently loud environment I still put mine away in the case when I’m on break
jimu
Guys my keyboard went to restore mode, its not working. Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks
Do ppl search for an answer?
idk maybe someone can
the keyboard e and r are red and its not detected
unplug and replug the keyboard
didnt help
#1019755933959733258 then
literally follow the image above your message
well quin gave you the place to post any more complex issues
it looks like every other phone
yeah
AssC*ck strikes again, but interesting case, no pin burn or anything visible.
why does it keeps happening though, even after bios updates and changes
Would be cool to fully understand, because this makes it really hard for me to recommend any Asrock mobos to clients at all. But without fully understanding it, there might be something on the CPU side aswell.
I had an asrock board just die on me out of nowhere after some 10 months use, but cpu and everything else on it survived
bios hadn't been updated in a long time
ASUS boards haven't let me down since my very first PC build
I had some mATX Z97 board paired with an i7-4790K
That 4790K + GTX 970 system was great
I have never used one for my own daily, considering there were always better or equally good options available, and haven't built a PC with them in a while out of similar principle, so most experience is second hand with these failures, but it will probably stay that way if the bulk of the reports will be with Asrock mobos.
I mean I have yet to see anyone have an issue with ram set at stock speeds so I keep suspecting voltages related to that
so we only see it killing x3d cpus seemingly, and those dont really care for faster ram in 90% of cases
my ram was just set to expo so they ran at the speed they were rated for
The impact is much less, but it's not a reason to throw bad RAM at it, thats the only thing i would keep in mind.
nono expo is overclocking, thats not stock
and that does change voltages on the board/imc so thats my guess
like to me it makes 1fps difference at best if I keep it on or off so I keep it off, means I never run into ram retraining etc. either
I find it kinda funny how you have to use an overclocking profile just to get the ram to run at their advertised speed
Thats how it always worked
well thats a different thing, if it should be not advertised or not etc.
it does in fact change voltages and that could be the cause
Technically overclocking, a simple toggle in practice (should be anyway minus edge issues)
doesn't make it less weird tbh, with most other things you get what you paid for without such hoops
Well it's just how it's all designed, you can say anything about it, the best you can do if you don't agree is buy JEDEC rated RAM and stay at that speed/timings and cope with the slower system.
I mean you can buy jedec 6000 ram
sure the timings arent great but on an x3d in most cases that really doesnt change anything
like if I buy 6000mhz ram it should run at that speed without tinkering imo but you're right that's not how things really work
On the other hand it can/will raise your SOC Voltage, i would manually dial it back to or below 1.2V.
Then you are already a step ahead of potential failure.
I buy 6000mhz ram it should run at that speed without tinkering
it could, if you buy one with 6000 as jedec raiting
thats only if the cause if SOC voltage and not asrock bios changing something else as a reaction to non jedec timings
but until I have an issue or see someone else with jedec timings have an issue I will assume that theory is likely, and even in cpu bound games I dont drop fps from it, so I just keep it that way for me
It will run at the DDR5 spec's lowest MHz, this is done iirc to prevent booting or other type of issues right after insertion.
As it's lighter for the IMC to handle.
I mean, just wait for next gen socket and hope we do switch to lpddr6 on desktop too, then theres a chance we dont even have expo anymore
And i wouldn't call a simple DOCP/XMP toggle tinkering, you are just going from SAFE to RATED.
But sure, for complete amateurs it might be challenging to get to that BIOS setting.
there's tons of people who just buy a gaming pc never touching the bios
I know
and often they leave performance on the table because of it
Sadly it's just one of those things that doesn't work the way some consumers would assume it does, so it requires that one step.
in case of prebuilds they should do that shit for you but many don't
The trouble with XMP is that not all OEMs/Sellers enable it, when they mean to (or advertise it), nor is it default on a fresh install/BIOS Update.
If it's pre-builts, it would be best practice to have that done ahead of time.
And documented with stress testing.
I set it quite low even on AM4 (1.1V set in this case).
IMC never screamed, RAM OC stayed stable.
meanwhile I got the first AssUs board of my life and had so many issues that I'll never again buy from em
I've had issues with most brands tbh
aSUS isn't immune ofcourse
if you've used PC's for 30+ years its kinda unavoidable I guess
I member when msi was memeworthy dumpster level cheap in the early 00s and they all the rage now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiTngvvD5dI
They have eum had issues aswell not long ago 😛

The only time I touched another brand was GIGABYTE and ended returning it for an ASUS board within a week.
Albeit that was when I got the 3700X at least.
On a new platform/chipset.
gigabytes P35-DS3 and DS4 were great, used them for a few years
Ohh yeah plenty of aSUS stories in the last what, 1-2 years, motherboard related too.
good oc boards, plenty of chipset cooling for the time, lots of vrm
Some RAM does run at 5600 JEDEC also needs motherboard support afaik
The last one i recall they had a component facing the wrong way on the board and leading to failures, i think it was one of the higher end board too, but possibly contained and damage covered.
at this point whatever you buy is like gambling, in a few years you'll see if it still works or not 🥲
technically its specced till ddr5-8800 but 6400 and above needs to be CUDIMMs
I mean yes and no, you can give some time to yourself before purchase and do some research what you are buying and how well it is. Before doing impulse purchases, and thats the best you can do to potentially avoid.
Early adoption will always have these results. Beyond all this, theres still a miniscule chance sure, but miniscule.
I had them for my Intel CPU, despite my intel CPU throttling at 85°C after a while, I had no issues, but since it was a 13th gen I'll just blame the CPU 😄
I try to do as much research as I have the energy for these days but still hard to avoid all pitfalls
like asrock looked great on paper at the time but then a few months later reports of dead boards/cpus started piling up
And then yours died

And then sorias died
I mean the 9800x3d's don't blow up on day 1, it can take a year and such, same for 13th and 14th gen CPU's that can take years... when I bought my 13th gen the only known thing was that it ran pretty hot and was very inefficient... So unless you're buying into an old platform/CPU it's still a gamble.
And my brother's friend's cpu also died in an asrock mobo
but also the board died not the cpu in it so not related to the other issue
yeah I have zero clue what happened to my board tbh
Oh thought it was the cpu
it did ran an outdated bios but that's about all the "symptoms" I could muster
But yeah my brother's friend has an asrock b850 board and a 7800x3d no expo no pbo no nothing no bios updates and the chip killed itself
After a few months poof
let's hope it doesn't happen to me on MSI xD
am running a replacement of the same asrock board model now and yeah we'll see how it goes
did you have bsods?
Dude was a noob and hadn't touched anything was running entirely stock bios
if it dies again I'll probably consider getting something else, probably maybe definitely
annoying thing is this config is fucking stable as an (as)rock
like extremely rare to have crashes or hiccups
no but I don't exactly remember, but I could fully load the E cores... and the P cores would start thermal throttling at 85°C, the E cores were lower temp, not sure why that happened, but it should only throttle at 100 afaik, I think there was also some other stuff, like certain things crashing which I haven't noticed yet on AMD so far...
few pc's I've owned has been as spotless to use as this one really
same for me and the asrock board on intel, was pretty flawless, good support, easy bios, but I didn't dare for my AMD CPU 😛
my 13700K had so many bsods
I even power limited it and temp limited it to 78 C
*its 6 years old btw
:3
I mean my CPU I power limited to 253W or so otherwise it'd be using 300+ xD
Can anyone tell me if there's a limit to how much storage I can use via thunderbolt 4 on my laptop if I want to get an external SSD enclosure and nvme SSD in the future? I may have to resort to this as my laptop storage is kinda being eaten up after just half a year of usage lol.
no any connection limits speed not capacity you can attach
So I can technically get 4 TB NVME Gen 3/4 SSD for thunderbolt 4 and it will work just fine right? *I do know that thunderbolt 4 can only run on Gen 3 NVME speeds but getting gen 4 would still be fine for me(when I transition to a new laptop with TB5 in the future) + gen 3 NVME seems to be going extinct.
you can attach 100tb ssds yes
At least TB4 is useful for this. Thank you btw.
I mean you can do the same over USB2 even its just much slower lol
thunderbolt is still a thing? I thought we replaced it with USB4 already
Yeah I mean it depends, currently I am running on 1 TB SSD and only 1 slot, I do have a second SSD slot and will likely use it in the near future(I can see myself needing the second slot in the middle of next year). However, my laptop is only limited to 2 TB SSD(this is what is recommended by the manufacturer) and any more expansion would mean flash drive/external SSD(nvme/SATA)/external HDD.
I have an 11 year old ssd in my system
i had to limit mine to 95W because I was using the fractal ridge
With better drive remaining life xD
Sure, but you can do your best to research into this issue that now has been documented over some time, to potentially buy hardware combos and set settings to minimize the possibility for this happening. It's the best thing you can do.
it is very much still a thing, no? Especially thunderbolt 5 are now available on high end laptop models now. USB 4 and thunderbolt 4 are the same thing, and technically USB 4 can reach thunderbolt 5 but the necessary PCIe controller is not mass produced for USB 4 yet(according to chatgpt anyway, don't quote me on this as I am not very experienced in this matter either).
now is the keyword, it is why I didn't get asrock, if I had done it years ago when AM5 released I wouldn't be able to
do not listen to chatgpt on hardware details
I love samsung
of course not, I just take it with a grain of salt
Never early adopt, if you are that afraid or don't have proper coverages. Especially when to comes to Asrock, it wasn't that recommended in the past over other equal or better alternatives, these issues just make it less so.
I once asked gemini deep research if I could have 2 coax modems (different ISP's) with 1 incomming cable from the street, it very confidently answered no 🥲
That being said, i'm doing just that next year, cause i'm that adventurous
Anyone here pairs gaming laptop with keyboard? I'm curious how many people are like me(maybe don't have to reply me and just react to this message with a thumbs up emoji)
I knew it was possible so I had to search for it myself and at the end of a forum post the ISP that owns the coax network officially confirmed you can get 2 ISP's on the same coax, for internet, so 2 modems.
I have done it with my fathers laptop when i visited him, not a gaming laptop, but i was gaming on it. Couldn't stand the laptop keyboard, so i just attached mine.
asrock has been solid on my 13th gen, they were also the first to release non beta microcode updates, other brands had different/similar issues aswell as what asrock is currently having
Idk what to say to you brother, then keep buying and recommending Asrock? I avoid both for a good while.
i was a laptop + keyboard gamer for 5 years, before i got my PC from my father lol
ASUS their issues are 2y ago, etc, and I said I avoided asrock myself?
I have no clue why do i keep getting contradicting tags then
I didn't get it for AM5, but I did get it for my intel and it was pretty stable until my intel CPU started throttling and I returned it to intel.
Great, then keep buying it for Intel, what do you want from me to add.
🤣
I see, well for me personally, I feel like having a good gaming laptop is just a lot more convenient regardless of the performance drop from their desktop counterpart due to insufficient cooling capacity(relative to desktop parts). As I am currently still studying as a postgraduate student, having a laptop is a necessity for me currently as I am travelling back and forth from my university to my house on a weekly basis(if it was a desktop I would've been in some trouble). + What I think is viable is also eGPU setup as thunderbolt 5 can handle high-end GPUs without significant losses(the loss is still big but nowhere near as atrocious as TB4), making high-end gaming a possibility(not that I have the budget for it now but yeah it is a possibility). Portability is really still an important metric for me, which is why I cannot see myself building a desktop in the near future.
As someone who has owned egpu before, they’re not worth
Although since this is tech channel, I want to know if anyone here is expert enough to tell me what could be the potential future for thunderbolt 6, I'm just looking for educated guesses as I know there's basically zero news about it as TB5 is literally still a new thing now. Will PCIe 5.0 X4 be a thing for TB6? Or is wire for it going to be impossible to be manufactured?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xl087NBU18w this shows a lot of promise so I think it's viable(of course if you don't mind burning cash xD).

If you ever venture down that path just build a small desktop rig at that point
The cost savings vs just building a mini desktop rig is not worth
yeah a ITX pc would worth it more
yeah this makes a lot of sense. Just need a foldable monitor lol
You’re about to venture down the mistake path that almost every tech need laptop buyer has made honestly
Tbh not even
Gaming laptops sound neat but then you realize later it’s better to have just bought a portable laptop for work and a desktop for gaming
i mean a full desktop mini itx rig
not as in make a fake desktop
yeah make sense, many people like the hybrid approach. It depends, I don't have that much money, will explore this option in the future.
Every single person that i know that built an itx rig ends up with it sitting on their desk and not going anywhere with it
The itx portability argument is a meme
well yeah, i assume if he wants small it's for the size more so than travelling with it
no one except small crowd is travelling with itx, you don't build it for portability mostly
it's for just it being small in your room
But even then... a small mid tower just kinda fits on the floor and takes little to no space
Unless you live in a super cramped room
yeah but people like small so they build small
it's not a 'logic' thing
it's a 'i like small rigs'
optimum tech has plenty of room to build a normal sized pc, but he'll build a mini pc because he likes the size of mini pc
yep, trust me i know. I've owned all 3 options. Gaming laptop that was $5k, mini itx pc and egpu
none of them are best bang for your buck but people will pick them for various reasons
Proper tower + laptop is the best option
Use the proper device for the job
Instead of trying to compromise everything in one
itx is more if you have the money these days and because you like having cute small rigs
trying to judge it by pure logical best value option isn't going to work
and that's fine too, some folks like monster cases
i do want a small size pc just for a home server lol
Only valid reason tbh
Or an htpc
but idk what cases would work for that nicely
that could house 2x20TB HDD and a few 240 and 120gb sata ssd's lol
as for some reason at home i have like 4x240gb and 3x120gb ssd lol
that is some weird numbers, usually isn't it like 128 GB or 256 GB? Also, does 20 TB HDD with 7200 RPM exist?
the HDD's are SAS ones
would cost me 200 pounds lol
o_0, first time I learn a different type of HDD other than SATA exists
why would they be 7200 when 5400 and JBOD features are preferable
high capacity HDDs are primarily medium term to long term storage
there are 120gb and 240gb sata ssd's out there still to this day
idk, higher speed? Although I'm aware that 7200 RPM HDD is still awfully slow. Also, I don't know what JBOD features are, I'm not good with this kind of stuff.
because 240GiB is 256GB
i have these at home like 4 of them xd
JBOD (just a bunch of disks) is how most datacenters organize disks. they have chassis where you just connect disks in and they all run side by side. youd want features in those HDDs to mitigate the vibrations from 40 HDDs or so all vibrating in 1 chassis
So as far as I know(I just googled it on the fly) JBOD means that all of the HDDs essentially function as one large HDD, in datacenters, homeservers or NAS and they can read sequential datas faster?
no thats a form of RAID
and yes you try to regain read speeds with RAID as well as HDD failure safety
write speeds usually suffer from RAID
but that can also be solved with SSD cache drives. so the write happens to that first and then can happen from the SSD cache to the HDD RAID array
the reason i said JBOD is that most bigger clusters just have JBOD chassis in the rack which dont have any CPU or such inside but just connect to some head unit that then does all the actual work of setting up RAID and what not.
something like this basically
some fancy HDDs offer things like more vibration resistance or even syncing the motors so they basically all vibrate in a way they dont influence each other
but yeah speed in these applications isnt the main worry
also the amount of disks in that pic i sent is not smth to take lightly.... its heavy AF
So like JBOD is basically a method on how to physically connect the HDD clusters?
is there redundancy if i explode the planet
Sounds like a poor choice for a data center then

a jbod can do raid
nothing stopping a jbod to run a raid
raid is always just a software solution at the end of the day
Right - But if JBOD is presenting as a single, massive disk, how does a RAID setup know what data to duplicate and where?

no
that be a raid
jbod is literally just connecting all disks to a host as individual disks
what you describe is raid0
jbod isnt really a strict system like raid its just a generic term
synology doing the lords work i see
It probably means not going through a hardware raid controller in this context? (not the synology thing)
Hardware raid is Thankfully going the way of the dodo. Zfs or software raid is just better

Silver best color anyways
For this gen
disregard smartphone, return to monke
the naming is from back pre days of massive disk count support, raid enclousers had raid internally, then presented as a single disk over scsi
i would get a case for my phone anyway xd
jbod would have multiple scsi connections, as you only got 8/16 drives per channel
most with more than 32 drive enclosuers would have 2 or 4 channel raid inside and would show up as 2/4 disks to the host
bro i figured out what freezes my discord
if I type, stop and then hold on someones message to reply it doesnt pop the menu and makes the client unresponsive
Oh yeah, it's so long ago I forgot that how it used to work
are you even that old XD
Amazon sends a brick instead of a high-end RTX 5080 GPU Sunday should be a reminder to always record the unpacking of expensive items bought online. I would be so mad
the price difference in local retailers between 5080 models is insane
ventus model 1069€
tuf model 1529€
I remember a redditor doing this once and it ended up being a fake post
Sounds right for Reddit.
They downvote facts but upvote fake fantasies
So honestly i don't even know anymore
This ones real and not fake but one time on amazon i ordered a klim jacket because they were the only one to have it in stock and it said delivered and i never got it then two days later it showed up on my doorstep opened with a tear down the sleeves no packaging nothing. That was my only shipping horror story
Amazon told me they couldn’t do anything since it was opened and used and i said it came that way???? I was out $375
wow sapphire made b850 motherboards at insanely competitive prices
TuF tax kek
I always got the black or silver phones LMAO
For this gen yes idk why they didnt do black blacks always the best looking iphone
Hah
CachyOS shout-out
Not sure if telling people to jump straight to Arch Linux is a good idea.....
tbh win 11 is fine, not great, not meh
oh no not mutahar
W11 is honestly fine for a gaming system
tbh i would love to have a gaming version of it without the bloat
10s got it
well they are making the xbox fullscreen mode for handhelds, so there will be something alongside next xbox I assume to be a gaming os
Hmmm
I need to see what the windows on that Xbox handheld is like
I just want the optimisations on normal Windows 11
what optimizations
amazon once sent me 2 out of 4 items i bought, i wrote em, they said ok we redund, only refunded one
had to write em again
one time they just sent sth back internally that was the last item on sale, then stock was 1 again but sale gone
The rare cases where Amazon is cool when you order an NVME drive, but instead you get a full box of them. Amazon is like oops, just keep it.
windows isnt lacking optimizations for gaming its needing a better UI for handheld and a simpler default so battery life is better and not up to the handheld maker to fuck up
once the package never showed and they sent automatic refund, 2 months later it came
shame it was just a pack of undies
coulda been great

just got the screen protector on my ipad and used the pencil for the first time, its so satisfyingly smooth
i actually like the feeling of writing on a glass display

no $40 paper imitating screen film for me
and minus display quality of a tandem oled
required in some cases depending on what games you play
you get used to it! it's nice!
thankfully the apple pencil tips are a reasonable price
i mean if u wanna play the newest multiplayer games soon everyone needs win11
yeah, the anti-cheats hate virtualized environments
you could also get 3rd party nibs if you dont like the feel of the stock one
those actually ruin the sharpness of the iPad screen
they look kinda horrible
i jsut did the lg oled test against the ipad, samsung g60sd and my lg ips monitor and holy
I didnt know oled could get any better
Still room for improvement
Although oled will probably be abandoned tech before it gets as far as it can go
the ipad at full brightness in the dark
yea but how about when its light out
Still need an oled monitor with real hdr brightness
it still gets wrekt by the oled thats on the iphones, only advantage is its bigger
IPS with RGB FALD seems to be the best in terms of image and color
or VA with RGB FALD
sure but rgb fald isnt available for anything short of that 1 hisense monster
best is actually oled, but only on the reference monitors without any abl
and those burn in quiiiiick
also are 40k
qdel soon ym
i await
TCL’s CSOT has shown off a bunch of innovations this week at SID Display Week 2024, including the first iteration of a promising display tech called QD-EL, the world’s fastest refresh-rate, and a solution to LCD’s wide-angle viewing problem.
The company
working laptop prototype
so it's actually real
Looking forward to when there is no difference in picture quality between professional displays and high-end gaming monitors
not gonna happen
Why not?
energy laws
Lol. True I guess
lol yeah what would be the maximum nits allowed for like a 27"
in the us its higher since its only the size of the outlet thats the limit, so like 10k range probably
casually having a mini-sun in your office
in eu you arent allowed to sell certain consumer devices that use too much power continuously
only 4 orders of magnitude off of sun -_-

But at least colour reproduction will just improve and improve until there is no further upgrades to be had that we can detect with our eyes
yeah that's why RGB FLAD looks so good
im here coping with my white fald :/
lol me with my standard IPS
tbf it would be perfectly fine with 1.5 -30k nits and youd have a hard time distinguishing the two if you fade between them slow enough
but yea 10k aint the limit
this is why vr is so hype
its years away, but with only 100 or so watts, sunlight brightness is possible in a headset
This is the stuff I'm excited for
QDEL displays should have a theoretically have less trouble resisting burn-in because it's not organic
DP 2.2 UHBR320 imagine
get flashed once and rip eyes
just dont get flashed
i know some madman fkin using 800 dpi 1.1 sens
mf does 10 360s across his mousepad
im on .2 trying .15 but like
.15 is fucking hard to dodge any flash
.2 is like, a 50% chance depending on how the flash was thrown
i used to play .4 on 800
how do i put this
hardest flash to dodge for me is phoenix, anyone else is fine
Playing any sens in the sub 300 range is like…. taping ur hand to the steering wheel of a car. the turning radius is so fucking small
i think its just the pop time and the need to anticipate it
if the phx or yoru flash is thrown like shit its still avoidable
oh yeah for sure but 90% of the time they’re actually good
i cant dodge flashes for shit below .15
just takes time to get used to
while playing (practising) jett i stick to 0.2
Same mansen. Same
Unfortunately we have to
Short conversations? That didn't end well with racist AI Darth Vader in Fortnite
Can i do this with my waifu?
I swear every shitty overused dystopian sci-fi trope we used to see in...sci-fi, is becoming a reality
we have an expression here that roughly translates to walking over corpses, this is literally that over money
It was glorious
rip my laptop got the ssd killed update and i didnt notice
it runs for like 5 min and then craahes and recovers after hard power cycle
fun
crystaldiskmark shows 100% life too
🖥️ 💥
you should run system file checker just in case, maybe something is corrupted on your system and your ssd is completely fine
Oh yeah time for some good old sfc /scannow and dism /repairsomethingsomethinghealth
the 2 commands that you run so often on a windows machine yet you need to look them up every time
oh im just going to get a new drive
luckily its a fancy dell so it can install windows from dell over wifi with no os
who remembers when they still put the man in movies when he was barely like... functioning
kind sad imo
you mean they let the creator into the movie as a homage?
and he did it every movie
that isnt sad
i just remember there was a lot of bad things going on with how he was treated
none of that has to do with the cameos
got to milk the weebs
It is very usable under direct sunlight
1000 nits SDR brightness is plenty
Although you only get the 1000 bits when the ambient light sensor detects that it's actually needed
Otherwise it tops out at 600 nits
Pretty smart system if you ask me
I use auto-brightness so I don't really notice it at all
Got me for a mic arm but they forgot to milk me, money is back in my account despite it being on the way 💀
https://vx-api.gitbook.io/vx-api/my-projects/why-do-video-games-use-kernel-mode-anti-cheats neat a basic look with links to more in detail things I can throw at people when they dont really understand what it does
was browsing a tech forum and found some strange fella saying he uses 16k dpi on desktop because its ergonomic
to spy on you of course
but they dont work XD
vanguard is the best AC we have by far
and it still gets bypassed
every AC will always have a weakpoint until its fixed
and it doesnt need to catch 100% of cheats to be good
but its also literally spyware
not any more than the discord client you are using right now
way more you know they scan almost every file on your hard drive. they have sent bans for people have github repos of cheats downloaded
I'd like to see some proof for that and you also dont need kernel acces to do that
i didnt say it was spyware because it was kernel mode, i said it was spyware
well yeah anti virus is also spyware
and its well know vgs scans literally every file on your hard drive
the post is about why its using kernel level specifically not what AC does in general
but it dosnt work any better than normal ac, there are 100s of working right now cheats you can download for free
hardware both visual and dma are avavilbe
no it stops some firmwares, it dose nothing for the hardware
and stoping dma dosent need kernel mode
nor scaning everyfile you have
I know it doesnt I'm just replying to the points you make now
so am i
being spyware is the lazy way to do anticheat
it requires the least skill
sure its one way to catch things that can circumvent other aspects without needing to perfectly have everything else covered
also regarding DMA https://vxtwitter.com/ItsGamerDoc/status/1958935350916915647
Two weeks ago, one of our chad engineers cooked so we released our IOMMU Restriction Enforcement, which marked the end of 2PC DMA attacks using IOMMU. This is where the device itself is contained in its own memory region and cannot read outside of it. No matter what you do, tampering with that would defeat the purpose of the 2PC "security" benefit.
The biggest P2C devs, including devices like HPTT that cost $4500, have all either given up or are coping on theories of how they can get around it or try to resort to finding niche stupid things that gets them detected/banned lmao.
It is a relatively simple area to cover, not a particularly problematic surface area.
I have collected their tears for your enjoyment https://t.co/lKBzVH1yqE
and here is a video a 2PC DMA cheat dev has posted https://t.co/tgUERCNVJg
This marks the end of 2PC DMA ATTACKS 2016-2025
iommu was using vms
uhhh no I dont think so?
they've been detecing quemu and other VMs long before this
vanguard whenever i reinstall drivers:
tldr they enabled some checks that limit memory access from other programs, mostly catching some hardware cheats which were quite expensive
Ah so it's pro anti-cheat. I found that very hard to parse if they defeated some anticheat or defeated the cheat. 😄
hes on the anti cheat team at riot
It's Twatter. I can't click anything past the thumbnail.
ik thats why I'm adding the info
ah yes, overclocking is dead. Sure thing
I mean yeah now compare fps gains in a game
fair point, but then again when i tune my 9070 XT just right i get about 5-10% more FPS. Depending on the title
i undervolted mine to be within 5% of stock while eating 70w less xd
where can i find support?
Companies worldwide are pouring hundreds of billions of dollars into securing and expanding capacity for powerful cloud computing required to develop and power complex AI technology. The two companies signed a letter of intent for a landmark strategic partnership to deploy at least 10 gigawatts of Nvidia chips for OpenAI's AI infrastructure. "...

gotta keep the bubble growing
Ai already kinda is a comodoty, the freely available models are pretty good at a lot of things already.
And don't even need super high end hardware
only 4k points above 7800x3d :/
it's not about the points, because R23 is crap anyway to determine real performance. What's impressive is the 105.5 BCLK here
OpenAI and its backer Microsoft also announced earlier this month that they have signed a non-binding deal for new relationship terms that would allow for OpenAI's restructuring into a for-profit company.
Open(on the stock market)AI

3% over PBO with EXPO
Congrats
For 100 of euros extra
No Theres nothing there that was used that costs more
I still remember the times overclocks did a lot, 3570k to 4.7ghz, hd7950 huge gains also, sure there are still some to be had, but nowhere near as much most of the time.
Unless you play at 1080p you won't even be able to tell your 9800x3d is oced
Ocing is dead
On cpus
anyone else having problem with removing switches from their 80he?
That’s not even remotely the case many games are cpu limited even at higher resolutions
tried a lot and in the end managed to break a small piece of the switch remover you get when you buy it
and I need to return the module since I somehow ordered the ANSI module and not the ISO Nordic
and I bought 3rd party switches as well
You can push out the switches on the back of the module
do i not have to open the module for that?

well fuck
does it void the warranty?
otherwise that is the only way to do it
U just have to remove the tape mode on the back
Screws tho?
I dont know that
huh?
The tape has hole everywhere you see screws?
Otherwise you uh... wouldn't SEE the screws.
Oh wait - You're trying to remove switches. You can leave the tape on. Silly Takko.

yeah haha

hella annoyed with myself, like why tf didn't I double check the module layout before ordering
uuuhmm how do I remove the switches now?
it's disassmbled
just brute force?
uuhm maybe wrong place to ask but for the return it says DPD but there are no DPD places in Sweden, Should I just turn it in to the Swedish postal service (PostNord)?
tf okey thanks xD, checked with my zip code and nothing came up

wait fuck, I will have two cases then since I only need to return the module

1920x1200 is fine though
Even with more frames the image is just... meh
A balance with everything
You don't want 1080p360 nor 8k30
Ye
that's why I am liking the new trend of dual mode monitors
We have changing resolution at home
I swear
resolution and refresh rate
70 for single player games, 140 for multi and indies and me happy
I think 4k180/1080p360 would be the sweet spot
But I want 1440p at least
I'm not going to stare at pixels
I am such a doofus 💀 forgot to add the case in the return request
I want it but its not happening 🙁
5k becomming cheap would be nice
why?
i dont care about >120 fps.. so i only care about res :p
lol can dp 2.1 handle that
Def
qdel 4k180/1080p360 is the dream for me
i want 4k144or120/1440p360
you mean 5k
just gimme 4k 1000hz oled
1080p 1000hz first
isnt that already announced for next year
is it? only need 700s
antgamer? wat
they also made the 750hz one
AntGamer ANT257PF
supposedly available in china

HANDHELD WITH THE NEW AMD APU 😍
https://youtu.be/jKLuxWFUIm4
Meet the all-new GPD WIN 5—a handheld gaming PC that swings way above its size class. You can spec it with AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 or Ryzen MAX 385, up to 128GB LPDDR5X, and a sharp 7" 1080p VRR display for buttery-smooth gameplay. In this video I go hands-on with the Ryzen MAX 385 model featuring the Radeon 8050S iGPU—32 CUs on RDNA 3.5 with ...
AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 or Ryzen MAX 385
I love handhelds that need external batterypacks..
yeah its an odd choice
the APU is giant, so I guess they had to?
it sounds so cheap and plastic-y anytime he handles it ;-;
My eyes are set on the xbox ally
GPD
Aite, we can move on
think its the only stxh handheld we get for a while
Gotta love GNOME
Lutris 0.5.18 doesn't use Gnome 45 platform anymore because it's outdated
Aite, time to update
Can't update because Gnome 45 is outdated
I have the same issue with Minecraft Bedrock Launcher
It's using an out of date and deprecated version of the KDE platform tools -_-
urgh great this is like the 3rd time in the last weeks firefox didnt remember the tabs I had open last sessions
I still hold out hope for hmd halo
Not happening but I hope still
guess I do have to try brave after all
Not even Ctrl shift t?
Vivaldi?
nope not even manually in the manu does anything
Rip
eh vivaldi is too small I cba dealing with some sites not working on it
Brave is much less supported than vivaldi
Vivaldi is more up to date chromium and less hostile to cloudflare
wasnt vivaldi blink?
Maybe ages ago
huh maybe I try that then
Looking into blink
Isn't that the codename for chromium's renderer?
seems that way I thought it was coming from its own
When I originally was shopping for browsers I thought so too.
Mandela effect
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/tab-session-manager/ am just going to use this I guess
using addons to fix what the browser cant do... but then I dont need to switch again
im starting to believe, but why oh why is the default for speedup chimpunk mode
After four years of daily use, my iPhone battery health dropped to 78% and I wanted to know: does replacing an iPhone battery really make it faster? In this video I run a complete iPhone battery replacement performance test, comparing old and new batteries across fifteen different benchmarks and real-world tasks to see whether an iPhone battery ...
nice to see someone benchmarking this
78% battery health vs 100%
Tl;ww?
so this is about battery health and the disclaimer apple puts there once it drops below a certain point which isnt a marketing thing or push to buy a new phone but just a truthful statement of less battery health = less performance. new battery did increase performance and who guessed it battery life.
Still haven't seen an addon to save entire tab groups
Yeah Apple downclocks the CPU to ensure the phone "stays stable" at lower battery life.
why arent the airpods in stock anywhere man
Next year open Linux/macOS alpha (hopefully)

windows mixed reality devices live on!
Umghmghu
Is there a way to do select copy and middle click paste on Windows like on Linux?
bind ctrl c to a mouse side button?
i have never looked into it, but i really doubt it.
I’m riding a Waymo
way mo' accidents
do you trust it? 😅
It feels a bit spooky when it does the turns lol
i still remember the vid of the waymo that just started driving in circles
and did it for like hours
i can imagine
safe travels, surely nothing can go wrong, it's a robot!
same
rip to iphone 15 (motherboard got shorted)
not much point in upgrading
as long as discord and youtube work
yes, if it works then it works
my phone is fine

oh i remember they would start honking like crazy in the waymo parking lots
no clankers on our roads
Damn it just ran a yellow light like a boss
woah dont say it hard r thats too far
how careful is it?
is it doing a lot of ehhh stuff or.?
It was acting up a bit in a section of construction but it did the correct thing. Just turned on the hazard lights and did it slowly
ic
I arrived safely
WOOOOO
This could be cool for certain case builds
The fuck.
Do we really need new standards?
Shitty ones too. Why would I want an additional two M.2 connectors instead of PCI-E ports?
Because you only have one big chonker of a PCIE device anyway right right
because what most people in a itx board miss are more storage slots
and I mean yeah ATX standard is some 30 years old, it would be nice if we could just have something more modern, though this clearly isnt aimed at replacing ATX
I'd rather have the modularity of a PCI-E port any day over M.2. Cause one can be used for the other, but not in reverse.
And this motherboard form factor just makes so, so many cases completely unsuable.
If I really wanted to build in the ITX form factor, I'd be accepting minimal I/O anyway.
This isn't ITX though.
You're going to have to dismiss a -lot- of ITX cases to fit this. So you're likely headed for something very custom - or mATX anyway.
uh no you can
In a sensible, logical manner. Have fun trying to use that to connect a card for the back of the case. 😄
I mean in 99% of those cases you just dont start with a ITX board
You want more storage, you're grabbing mATX as it is anyhow. This is just a terrible idea.
also the way this board puts the m2 slots, if you had pcie slots there it would impede airflow towards the cpu/sticks too
seems great for a SSD NAS or similar
Which one do you prefer?
s25, because of the A.I. that's helpful for me
No 4xM.2?
A large fraction of the smallest itx cases use around the back gpus via risers
Liquid cool the GPU = enough space for a second card next to it = m. 2 to pcie cable useful

That’s a whole lot of speed
So many Linux distros/seconds
In BE they already do this everywhere you can get fiber afaik, sadly I'm stuck on coax 😭

Why most laptops come with Nvidia GPU
Technically most come with Intel igpu
why not
bc u need nvidia ai tech
I just want a laptop to play gaem at
Yeah but DLSS
How does i7-1355U's iGPU compare to Deck?
not a good CPU for laptops
Eh, about the same
Isn't it meant to be for laptops?
It's currently in a tablet, handheld, tiny ass laptop and a mini PC xd
doesn't mean it is good at it
Fair
strix halo is powerful but not super efficient
I thought it was?
strix point is much better afaik
Everyone saying at least the framework Desktop is efficient ?
for efficiency
Ah
for a laptop or a desktop
Desktop xd ok yeh got you
cause only one of the two runs on a battery (typically)
Ye xd
HP OmniBook with AI 9 HX 375 sounds interesting... but HP
Framework have a ai 9 370 model
Yeah but that is worse quality and higher cost
Framework is not purchasable in electronics stores around here, so I can't use my discount
The framework desktop is just dumb
Skill issue
Use code MOUMOU

I'm not gonna scoff on 1/3 of laptop off
Jeez how much is that on usd?
~$2900
Oh god that’s expensive
Good to reconfirm FW is just a bad purchasing decision lol
the same laptop config would cost me 3000$
I just wan a ptop for up to ~1500€, because I have voucher for ~500€ to play gw2 and terraria on
Asus 16inch zenbook with same specs is like 1600€
Cheapest ai 370 laptop i see are around 1200+
Is that poland tho?
You don't need the display port one, passive uscb to displayport cables. Exist
No but it’s easy enough to order to Poland from Germany if they won’t have that model
It’s also the second result for hx 370 so im sure there are other options lol
Yup, there it is too
Although HP seems nice too, because 14"
It looks like a pretty standard price for that sort of adapter tho the cable is def more convenient and will serve long into the future
Also the 365 is the next step down and much cheaper to get
Or just get lunar lake 258v should be down in price these days

¯_(ツ)_/¯
I mean technically every LNL sku sold lowers their margin so it’s bad for intel’s margin
I wan intel to be good again
We need competition in CPU space
they are still the best option in laptops for almost every area
Except for GPU which is still nvidia ofc
Well yeah Intel and AMD don’t do laptop gpus basically
I just want a ptop which won't die when I launch gw2
It has been 2 decades since the last time Intel was in dire straits
Performance tradeoffs depending in workload is actually competiton like it or not
Soon intel with nvidia integrated
Indeed
I'm actually not sure I believe that
I'm gonna bet on stapled together dgpu
Amd's 9800x3d prices make me cringe @umbral heron
Lunar lake
Also the fact that they sell the 7800x3d for more than it was like... a year and a half ago
They just have no competition
Seriously though lunar lake has great idle, is cheap enough these days and decent igpu, quicksync and all
Fun fact inflation means things get more expensive over time
Same price number = less expensive if there's inflation
A whopping 9$ worth of inflation
woohoo
its also not even more expensive than it was a year ago?
Idk about the european market but i got mine brand new a year and a half ago for 425
Now they're 499
$30 not including tariffs
Doesn't apply to canada
In the us that is
Everyone else in the world had higher inflation
Yes canada is worse
Yea that's wrong
Just buy lolol canada pesos are worth less and less each year
Say that to the bank of canada
No you don't
Hi bank of canada, your numbers for inflation are flawed
yeah well then they dont need to raise wages by that much. Better to keep official inflation down
I think you're the one that's wrong
This calculator uses monthly consumer price index (CPI) data from 1914 to the present to show changes in the cost of a fixed "basket" of consumer purchases. These include:
food shelter furniture clothing transportation recreation
feel like that might not be the most applicable list for semiconductor prices
Also this is cad denominated
The cad has lost value itself
Google gives it a 4% loss
Which would be about $20
So 30 cad lost total
A bit less than I'd expect but perhaps canada had worse inflation previously and leveled out just this year
So yea the canadian bank is lying about inflation numbers but its legal for them since they are denominated in cad
wouldnt say its lying just the numbers arent applicable for non canadian goods on its own
also if they dont directly ship to canada but through US tarrifs might still apply
True it is accurate for Canadian produced goods
not the way tarrifs work
when the choccy milk addiction hits too hard 😩 i had so much fun building this, might need to redo the boba pc soon 👀

Now I like a good build as much as the next person. But brown watercooling is just... no.
I'm out, bro
You don't get tarrifed for transiting through a country
You are confusing tariffs with vat
Tariffs are much much worse
tarrifs can apply even if its passing through, I dont know about the current ones because hell nobody knows details about them before trump changes them again
You don't get charged either, if the product is transiting through a country. It's when it's delivered there and used.
also I said might because it could be the bulk goes into the US and then just a portion gets sold to canada and not being listed as a transit package from the start
Again thinking more reasonable schemes
Us tariffs are hostage prices by the post office to release your package
Sure - If you live in the US and have something imported.
Now you might not actually enter the us like by staying in an airport
But if you live in Canada and something you order passes through the US on its way to you, tariffs aren't suddenly applied.
But if you unload it at long beach and stuff it on a truck to canada, the tariff applies
Mnope. Not unless a new customer is somehow involved.
You got a source on this? Heard plenty of horror stories
The law. As written.
well we're not talking about a single customer, we dont know if the stock canadian retailers get comes from amd directly or via warehouses in the US
Right - But I already touched on that. If products are purchased from the US (which were imported to there), and then resold in Canada, tariffs are obviously a thing.
The law as written doesn't allow the president to impose tariffs
And at that point you just gotta confront the seller about their prices.
That remains to be seen - By the almighty Trump court.
Aka. Supreme Court
well yeah thats the point, the same law that doesnt let him impose tarrifs at will prevents them from charging them however they like
He's not the one enforcing them on a day to day basis.
literally canadian retailers have their their own warehouses
well duh obviously, the point is where do they get their stock from
They don't have to get their shit unloaded in the us
There's literally no reason for Canadian sellers to buy something from the US, that's made in China. They can buy ... from China.
Port of vancouver
It is the responsibility of his job to
Officially he is only delegating responsibility to the rest of the executive
possible, doesnt mean its how its done
could just be up till tarrifs it was cheaper to have everything go to the US and distribute from there

More Intel $$ in next 1-2 months?
Growth in the use of AI services has been astonishing; we expect it to be even more astonishing going forward.
As AI gets smarter, access to AI will be a fundamental driver of the economy, and...
no openAI want good hardware
"Over the next couple of months, we’ll be talking about some of our plans and the partners we are working with to make this a reality. Later this year, we’ll talk about how we are financing it; given how increasing compute is the literal key to increasing revenue, we have some interesting new ideas."
Our vision is simple: we want to create a factory that can produce a gigawatt of new AI infrastructure every week. The execution of this will be extremely difficult; it will take us years to get to this milestone and it will require innovation at every level of the stack, from chips to power to building to robotics. But we have been hard at work on this and believe it is possible. In our opinion, it will be the coolest and most important infrastructure project ever. We are particularly excited to build a lot of this in the US; right now, other countries are building things like chips fabs and new energy production much faster than we are, and we want to help turn that tide.
Lets see
funny haha at intels cost aside, there is actuall no product on intels roadmap that would make sense here, they dont have something that would have make sense there over nvidia/AMD/custom
Not even the lab ai stuff?
wym lab AI stuff, gaudi? gaudi is dead
the last big cluster from intel is Aurora which has like 50% of the efficency of AMDs Mi300
Well u need some xeons to run that those nvidia chips + reserve fab space for 14A 18A
Really? Why can't they do a gaudi3?
I mean 4
they killed off gaudi, the team was merged into the gpu team to make falcon shores and falcon shores got axed because it was too far behin to be viable if it had released this year
yay like 100 chips total
more likel xilinx because FPGAs is whats used in the market since altera got spun out again
that was the roadmap from 2023
falcon got axed in januar this year
plus there is like 0 software overlap with other intel products so they would have to restart that entire thing to support the ecosystem
Yea but what about jaguar
yeah thats still alive for now, maybe
Its named jaguar and uses hbm
That's it lel
but you'd be betting on someone with a really bad track record on massive scale when energy usage is like the bigges issue for massive data centers and thats been their biggest issue for cpu and gpu for a long time
when we see the first 18A PTL/NVL chips maybe we can deduce how well that could work as a node for it
so far we just know it was planned before FCS was canned, then got redefined and uses HBM4
Huh the one LBT announced couple weeks back?
which... isnt a lot of info
don think lbt said anything about it?
iirc MJ was the last to talk about it
Instead of trying to challenge Nvidia head-on in training large AI models, the computationally intense work at the heart of the current boom, Tan wants Intel to stake out new ground in so-called “edge” AI. These are applications that push AI capabilities closer to the user, in personal computers and connected devices, rather than in massive centralized data centers.
He also pointed to agentic AI, an emerging field where autonomous systems act independently with minimal human intervention. “That’s an area that I think is emerging, coming up very big and we want to make sure that we capture,” Tan said.
but look at the top3 systems on top500 atm, compare powerdraw and performance between them, thats not what you want to see as track record when you go for a gigawatt
I cant find more so maybe that was it
Instead of trying to challenge Nvidia head-on in training large AI models
so basically hes not trying to make something that would fit altmans description
Yeah no, but the bet is on the fab side, always was.
Their products can go either way
In the a16z dylan podcast they talked about 2 sections of inference and how certain chips were good for certain parts, and how you can pair specialized fast chips with more expensive general chips for better performance and efficiency
Literally this
yeah im sure intel is happy about 2x the stock when amd and nvidia will be at 5x or whatever silly number
is that related to the rubin CPX announcement from nvidia?
Yep
!remindmein1year damn discord
yeah well cpx is just the 6090 it seems with more ram, intel aint competing there either
You can't 5x 5T
Nor can you 5x AMD because they were guiding for 70B 2025 revenue and now had to lower guidance to 50B
yeah but neither company is at danger of needing to break up their business or face US takeover because they cant finance fabs lol
Not directly but an actually more specialized chip using the neuromorphic bs? Idk
I mean from the images they have shown in the slides it appears to litearlly just be the GR202 chip or whatever they call the 6090 die
Yea my point is that's got a bunch of random other bs on die
Intel can probably match perf if not beat it by throwing away raster and rt for example
idk if it has more bs on it we dont know that either
intel also has a worse software stack than rocm for that still
like it's not impossible, I just dont really see a good reason to bet on intel over amd or nvidia for a large scale massive project
Just a billion or 2 to get in the good graces of the president? Ez
I mean you can do that by just saying you place orders on the US fabs of TSMC
Not the same
Nvidia or AMD cant fab, so its Intel or legacy TSM or Texas intruments..
The heck has ti been doing
the arizona fab is building out 2nm and 16A, thats not really legacy because gpus rarely use the latest node anyway
Its on 4nm rn and maybe 2nm by 2030
2028 for 2nm
which is fine, we get rubin on n3p next year and then its another 2 years before the next jump
also its been like 4 years since they were close to reaching 60 lmao
funniest shit woudl still be if rapidus out of nowhere comes and beats intel fab
tenstorrent has been sending out hardware and people are using the SDK, hard to say if thats anything that could really scale up that high
idk feel like thats only partially able to help at bleeding edge and would gradually be something tsmc and co do as well
Maybe but its an entirely different skillset
And it can actually push the bleeding edge
yeah its cool and could do great things for companies but I dont think it would change anything for like intel/amd/nvidia besides speeding up validation steps and such maybe
you still need to test it on the actual node, maybe if you get smaller EUV machines for lower volume that dont cost billions
E beam isn't euv
Bleeding edge of e-beam is a couple decades ahead of photolitho
The problem is speed
But if they can make cheap slow machines, that will make up for the speed
Twinscan more like million beam or something
what are the latest ones usually saved for
they arent saved for anything its just not making sense timeline wise usually
oh
phones, cpus and specific hardware are usually the ones on the newest nodes
apples has been the first customer for years for the latest nodes
yeah I mean this time they took up TSMC 2nm
they aren't first, but I believe they are the largest consumer for TSMC's 2nm, if not second
they cant be big customer if they dont make anything on it till like end of next year lol
m5
thats likely the first yeah
for apple that is, first n2 in general is probably AMDs zen6 or mi400
Guys I need some help, why does my monitor just black screen whenever I play a game that’s not valorant and I need to restart my pc
its telling you to not play other games
Yeah but I lowkey need a fix I legit can’t play any other game

I unironically have
I’ve not ever had this problem until 2 months ago
And I’ve had this pc for nearly 3 years
so you uninstalled valorant and restarted, does it still happen now?
The gpu is a 3080
Yes
I’ve tried everything including trying secure boot
reinstall gpu drivers
And everytime I play a gpu based game it just crashes
reinstall windows
