Would be much easier to have 2 separate actions on a single key based on the distance traveled, since you won't accidently press the key all the way while trying to type normally.

Wow didn't know that, I'll look into it. I would love to have macros even on heavily used keys (like WASD) but accidental presses happen way to often for me. Especially when you get that instinct to press the key all the way down just to be sure.

I attempted using o-rings to make the last millimeter or so require more force to press, and while it technically worked, you need two rings per key for it, which is also thick enough to prevent the keycap from being installed properly, so the key I tested it on was slightly higher than the rest, and more wobbly

That's about as technical as you'll get from a non developer. To be able to push maximum scanning rate internally, Tachyon mode disables animations that would otherwise reduce the bandwidth.

Any tachyon mode implementation will probably always maximize performance and disable other things. So it’s just a matter of what can you do with non tachyon mode, is having 2k polling for example enough of a tradeoff that you’d use that and egg effects

I’d argue it’s already more than enough not using 8khz on a keyboard if you want other things happening, unlike a mouse the higher pulling is much less of a benefit

So it's not that. Alright. Time to double check that your PSU is actually plugged into the wall, and the power switch(es) are on on the back of it.

And make sure the PSU cables are plugged in all the way at both ends. I've had some motherboards where the 24 pin takes a ton of force to actually connect properly

Alright. Check and confirm you're using the right power cables (EPS) for the two cables above the CPU, make sure the motherboard power cable (the big, wide one) is pushed in correctly on BOTH ends.

Alright. Time to rule out the case. Unplug that front header cable, grab your screwdriver and make it touch both of the power pins.

That's the third and fourth, if you count from top left and on.

This does the same as hitting the power button on the case.

can also check if the mobo has any power by unplugging the CPU power from the mobo in the top left. theres a small led on those boards lighting up if they arent connected.
(if shorting with a screwdriver aint working)

except the frontpanel connector, mainboard power, cpu power, cpu and cpu fan/pump

and then see if it turns on

(ofc leave 1 ram stick in but no gpu)

then you can remove the cpu and check no bent pins in the socket, if thats the case put cpu back and cooler back on and swap ram stick if you have 2

if all that aint helping you basically reduced it down to most likely motherboard dead
