My Ethernet cable has developed a feature where it’ll random disconnect at unpredictable moments for a brief moment. My current solution is to just unplug the cable when not downloading a game/update to avoid random DCs and/or lag spikes in online games.

Maybe my understanding is wrong (it probably is), the DCs shouldn’t happen if both connections are active?

Turns out I've been setting my HDR settings slighty wrong for a while. Not so much for peak brightness, the LG C2 clips at 800 nits with HGIG enabled, but setting the white point to only 100 nits. I've increased that to 200 nits (same for SDR brightness within Windows settings) and everything looks much better.

After finding out that 203 nits is the ITU recommended value for HDR10 PQ. Only setting 200 nits in games though as the sliders in many don't allow for that kind of fine adjustment. Too lazy to manually enter 203 in an INI file for every HDR enabled game as well.

There really needs to be a better industry standard for configuring HDR at a system level.

Low input latency
No native resolution so you can enjoy many types of games without worrying about integer scaling or scaling blurriness

What people dislike about CRTs:

That image is of an oled so the response times don't matter

That is how 60 Hz looks like on an oled at a specific speed

You have a crt so it's easy to test. Go to https://www.testufo.com/ and track the top ufo with your eyes as it moves the screen. On a CRT it will be clear regardless of the speed you run the test at. Try the test on an oled and it'll very easily become blurry when you track it with your eyes at most speeds except the slower ones (but also depends on the refresh rate of your display. More Hz = clearer image)
