Worse case... 15$ oem key
hmm
Ya windows 10 will no longer get security updates in fall
So just update it already i say
is it the license like motherboard hw id based or what
Ye
But in your windows settings when signed in with your ms account
You can transfer if
T if its a multiuse licence
i need to check that tomorrow
just try to transfer it and if it doesnt buy a cheapo one
you cant tell i think
at least i found no way to
chatgpt gave some instructions
no my license is oem im pretty sure
i havent had to deal with this stuff since the last decade
And sometimes it does transfer nicely until it eventually deactivates and demands blood money
i was even on the phone with support and they couldnt give me a straight answer
like they just dont know either they just try the same shit
Would be funny if they told people to just MAS it up
I had a windows education key that stopped transferring ):
After 2 transfers
3rd trandfer ms was like nowo
Thanks for the heads up msi 👍
Also funny part this may be the best selling Radeon generation
It's cool, being up in the sky like an angel and looking down on Earth.
yeah but flying up is worse
Just like driving, there's risk
BIT OF A BIGGER RISK INM SPACE
My wooting 60HE crashed while I was trying to update. I was mid game and keyboard stopped working. Tried restarting the pc but the keyboard still won’t work
Anyone else having issues with steam not loading?
Steam OS does very little on the desktop, other linux distro's cannot do
im fine
Arguably less cause any package you install outside of Flatpak is wiped during SteamOS updates
Maybe from a Linux user's pov.
But for folks coming from consoles or Windows, it's the idea of a gaming centric Linux OS with wide adoption that's backed by Valve of all people.
^
but what about one of the other 3million distros? youre not a real linux user unless you used all of them at least once

truly funny to get told the first linux OS youre actually interested in using is a weird choice cause other can basically do the same on the desktop
and then linux people wonder why its not the main choice for a desktop OS
The year of the Linux desktop is when we get a desktop platform that obscures the fact it’s Linux
^ I'm just gonna borrow that statement
In all seriousness though, do we really need 10 different desktop environments in the package manager?
I view it from the use-scene perspective. You don't use Windows for networking, you don't use Linux for common office stuff, etc
I mean, crowbar kinda works on every lock, but..
My a button stoped working on my full and I just received it
Using my phone rn to type lol
"stopped working" so did it work at some point?
Yeah it did
The started spamming a when I pressed the then just stop
I’ve literally have had this keyboard for 30 mins
Had similar feelings when I got my 80
unplug it and plug it back in
Disconnect the KB
Give it a good 3 mins to figure itself out
The reason I actually joined this Discord channel was due to that the 80 did nothing once I first got it just to ask for help
^
same isue
issue
when i have rapid trigger on it spams wasd
check #1019755933959733258 if someone had your issue already or else make a post there so someone cab help you
ehh quite expensive
no one has had my issue
assuming its USD?
the (A) button doesnt work
yes I said
or else make a post there so someone can help you
the support channel is where people look to help people with issues, this is more general tech talk
it did then started spamming when i pressed it then stoped dont even work
i did put something in there
Yes
yeah 300 above msrp doesnt make much sense
Does anyone know the difference between the wooting 60he and the 80he I’m trying to figure out which one to buy for gaming
...size and form factor is the big one
the most meaningful one
Is there any benefits other than size and form factor? Like component benefits
Thanks for the help
the white tax is crazy
599$ is the msrp
Ik
unless you really need one just wait for cheaper restock at a store
yes thats why I said unless you really need one
Yeah idk if you need one and won't have any buyers remorse about spending above msrp go for it.
I bought my 6800XT for $890
These aren't horrible prices esp considering you don't pay tax on marketplaces right?
No remorse
I mean if money is no issues get a 5090
?
Not giving nvidia my money
where do you get a 5090, i’ve been looking for weeks
How does spending 200 above msrp equal spending 3k+ on a 5090 lol
scalped
on ebay
scalped is over 3k msrp
if you want one even remotely close to MSRP
wait a while
I mean if you just are fine paying 50% above msrp because you cant wait some days money doesnt seem to be an issue when you have a working card already
i’ve seen people buying it on amazon tho i wish i was that filthy rich
Found one for $10 cheaper 😂
...wait a few weeks at this rate
get one at MSRP
at a store
don't support idiots trying to make a mint off of bigger idiots
-_- bro says this like its easy finding in store
use sites that track restock and you can get it without bots yes just not super easy
It's still a massive value difference, one could spend 200 more but won't be able to spend 2k+ more for months
it will be once the initial scalped supply rots while stores restock...
or...know someone on the inside
that's how I was able to get my 4080S at launch
at MSRP
just call microcenter every day
How long you think thatll be tho
Because even older cards are difficult to find
at most a few months
most likely less
My specific 6800XT is sold out everywhere near me
Or being scalped for $1500
XFX Speedster Merc319
I mean personally I just think if you spend 300 more on a 600 card beacuse you cant wait some days when youy pc is fine then money doesnt seem matter
Getting any GPU isn't easy rn unless you get a 4060 lol It's just
you’re not really upgrading if you’re buying 9070xt above msrp

That's just very hypocritical no? Besides It's 600+ tax so close to 700 which would only make the difference about 150 at max which a lot of people can afford even without having the "money doesn't matter mindset"
most us states have little to no sales tax
That price will easily change during the bidding. The price i sent is buy it now
cheapest bin i see here is 789.99 i lied
most states are 9% ish which would put it at 660
oh this isnt even the xt
neither was the one you sent earlier
Yeah
😭
Just realized
imagine if he bought that
so much overpay for a non xt
I mean... it was also a 4080s
They didn't have much excitement about them at launch
Wasn't really scalped all that much
same thing with my 3070 four years ago
does it have to be the xfx swift? 💀
my model specifically was being sold at retailers for 140 CAD above launch msrp within a month of me having it
I mean the 3070 did have more demand behind it
I had this one saved I just realized
The 4080 super i mean it was just a price drop because the 4080 sat on shelves and people didn't really rush out to buy them that much as they were still expensive
Great card tho
cheapest BIN xfx swift is 925
and it fits in my tiny case :D
i wonder if my XTX can even fit in it
...my PC is the size of an xbox series x and absolutely mauls it in performance
too long iirc
mine only fits up to 320mm length
It did cost a lot more tho lol
shush
Let me check mine real quick
girlkisser
no u
Card Dimension (cm) 34.4 x 12.8 x 5.7
the xtx merc is too long
theres a reason why this one is still up.. its 270 over msrp before tax
It is... gigantic lol
Hell doesn't include the giant support bracket
@serene ruin you said you have a 6800xt... you don't need an upgrade
You just want one
So take a chill pill
Patience is what matters
Yeah but its not like your previous card was unusable
If the xtx pricing had been fucked you coulda just... been patient
Generally it's pretty simple
Buy at launch at msrp or be patient
One or the other
That's fine
The main thing is not overpaying
You either pay what it's supposed to be or cheaper
Sounds legit
<@&1098943457654997093> spam bot
Got em
Nooo my steam gift card
it was a dropshipper ad xd
Noooo my business opportunity
I want to upgrade lol my choice to make not yours
9070XT will give me proper RT performance
it's just not worth it over MSRP
its not like your card is unusable
I got my 6800XT for 890…way over msrp
Im ok with paying $200 over msrp
why didnt you buy a 40 series if you cared this much about RT
they had them on shelves for like
a while
sitting there
brand loyalty to either amd or nvidia is moronic
well you're asking us should you bid/buy, we say no so either wait for prices to settle or buy it because you want to spend money but then you dont need to ask us for feedback xD
0 logic
Not giving nvidia my money -_-
Thank you
AMD + Nvidia = ✅
it's a company
amd doesn't care about you
nvidia doesn't care about you
no company gives a shit
buy the best value at the time
Giving a money hungry company that oversells their gpus is the most moronic thing you can do.
giving money to money hungry ebay scalpers is somehow better?
AMD gives better price to performance
I mean at these prices the price/perf is worse than nvidia when it was in stock lol
literally
so you waited out of protest for bad value to now get even worse value if you buy it at these prices
????
MSRP will ofc always be better
and he's sticking it to nvidia because they're greedy by buying from scalpers who are greedier
you talk about not giving money to nvidia in general, not about not doing it now
its why you ignored deals on 40 series despite wanting RT
At msrp, amd shits on nvidia. Try again
So your point of me buying something overpriced when everything is overpriced
ok
Even at scalper value AMD has better value
you dislike nvidia because they're greedy
yet buy from scalpers which are arguably worse
the point is to wait and not give scalpers any money
people like you are why scalpers exist
my point is you waited just long enough for stuff to be scalped, but not long enough for stock to be back to normal, so buying right now isn't making any sense when you waited before this time due to bad value options
Everything is scalped up -_- at scalper value AMD is still better choice
Msrp amd is better
Regardless amd is cheaper
doesn't justify buying from a scalper
nobody is disagreeing that amd has better value just that you care for value yet at the same time want to ignore value and buy at inflated prices when it's not like you need a new gpu right now
Better to buy now before it’s too late, and I’m so glad I did.
Lmao exactly
before its too late for what
if you wait a bit things won't be scalped
you realize that by buying at these prices you're just showing gpu companies you love getting fucked in the ass
For prices to increase
6800XT are still being scalped. Your point?
why would prices increase
6800XTs are still being scalped
no one actually buys those
they aren't made anymore of course they are
Doesnt matter. The fact still stands that its being scalped
if you think us does a massive tradeware and puts 50% tarrifs on taiwan sure then maybe it makes sense
ok this guy is braindead
30s even
Inflation and tariffs.
This
go back 1 month and shit was on shelves
everywhere
inflation isnt going to suddenly make a msrp 300$ higher lmfao
at LOWER than msrp
25% tarrifs is not making it cost 50% more either
Back one month lol. Still speaking past events. Restocks happen 😂
what changed between last month and now
to fix the first one, buy series i bonds, and to fix the second one, wait 2 weeks, thats how long the tariffs seem to last
It’s a big business making thousands of dollars every month/year.
but at this point you are just trying to justify your purchase, so if you want it just buy it you dont need to justify to us how you spend your money
what released that suddently your 6800xt is too shit to play what you want
so? that doesnt change that inflation and tarrifs are % based
Nothing. I personally want to upgrade. Its not your choice to make
why didnt you upgrade a month ago then
9070xt just released
when shit was below msrp
then why do you ask us if you should buy it???
then why ask if you should or should not buy
i dont get your point here
I don't think its worth arguing with a mindless fanboy
Lmao
3060 sells for 200-225 on ebay bought it for ~425 years back, im not sure where the scalping thing is coming from
they just want positive affirmation for a decision they havent even made yet, usually the folks wait until after they have made the mistake to do that but...
New and better yes
nothing changed between a month and now
its why you ignored the 40 series on sale
and 70 series on sale you dont need them you never needed them in the first place you just care about owning the shiny new thing not about value lol
and if you say not giving nvidia my money its a stupid take
no company loves you
or gives a shit about you
you just get what's best value brand loyalty is some of the most moronic crap out there
ill admit i made a poor choice to buy a 9070xt at 760 when i had the chance to a different one at 600 and i wouldnt give you crap for shitting on me for it but i liked the design more
but its not like it was getting any cheaper since it was from microcenter
i didnt see you begging for affirmation for it...
and im not paying a scalper
if you want to pay more for looks thats fine, thats value to people
aesthetics do technically have a value to the right people
if you want an all white pc and theres only one white sku you wont have much choice for example
i personnaly dont mind paying like... 100cad more than reference for a better cooler
but there's an oimprovement its called noise reduction
there's something tangible
if you're stuck hearing those fans for 5 years and you hate the way they sound you're just gonna want to get rid of the thing
if you want a specific look, or a specifi card for OC due to pcb or bios limits etc. thats all fine, if you just want any card, spending so much you could almost buy a 5080 makes little sense lol
if your gpu is broken that also makes more sense to overpay if you dont want to play on an igpu etc.
Example i'd never buy a reference 7900xtx because i think they're too damn noisy
i know that i dont care about aesthetics, my pc : case price ratio was 1000:1, and no i didnt spend anywhere near 50 grand on my computer
im quite happy with the purchase and performance of it, i wouldnt need it
i used the same case from 2012 to 2020, an old corsair 350d, then my mobo died and i had to do a full rebuild so i swapped cases for a new one while i was at it
Why would I upgrade 1 generation? Thats like upgrading your phone every year for barely any increase in performance. Thats just dumb
what are these fancy cases with "model numbers"
9070XT gives me true RT performance
So would have a 40 series
And its an actual jump in performance
A 40 series woulda been an actual jump on performance
With barely any performance bump -_-
Your arguments make no sense
Coulda bought a 4070 ti on clearance
Or a ti super
Literally woulda been cheaper
So 7900XTX js the best option. Thanks
unless you rt in which case more like 4080s
Rather performance over RT
Imma get the 7900xtx actually thanks for that graph
Why didn't you buy them when they were 830usd
On clearance
If you needed the performance jump that much
:)
nice to see you changed your mind 👍
Maybe i didnt feel like upgrading till now??
your whole point was RT performance....
Are you dumb? No it was t
I simply stated 9070xt gives me RT
So thats a plus
Never said its my main thing
...
you said it was your reason for upgrading though...
I will always have price to performance
here
im reading
…
…
Its a plus
Not my main reason
My choice to upgrade was this week
you specified rt performance earlier and now youre just changing it to fit the situation
Not last month when things were on sale
Only if you don't buy from a scalper
Everything is scalped up. Try again
Because you want to consume
Because of hype
No because I decided
Didnt even know 9070xt released recently
alright well you're free to upgrade but I don't think you're going to get the validation you wanted from us on whether it is a "good" purchase right now
how about you change your mind and buy a savings bond or put money in a bank account?
Sheep is all of you with that hive mind
When you’re too retarded to believe people do things on their own free will
Didnt even know the 9070 existed
Thought they were doing 8000 series
Suddently you want one tho
You're just like those people who buy new phones every year
Because its the most newest one that actually gives me 2 gen of upgrade?
Not really as we said previously a discounted 70 series or 40 series woulda done the trick
But I will go with 7900XTX instead after the graph
they dont have an 8 tier in 9000 series so no
You're getting 1 gen of upgrade
No exactly
I thought it was going to be like 8800 or wtv
Then saw it was renamed
Worry about your own pocket buddy
So the 70 series was fine and thie im getting 2 gens of improvement was a bogus argument
What are we buying
he wants to get a scalped 9070xt
Tickets to the takalicious has a mental breakdown
You love contradicting yourself dont you
Yeah imma get 7900XTX instead
Both aren't going to be for MSRP rn
By pointing out your contradictions yes
Then why are you here in the first plsce
What was the point of asking
You showed me better options so it worked in my favor regardless
Thanks
I really hate upgrading when its not a huge jump, 40 series was good but it cant run my monitor yet properly, 7000 was more of the same, and 50 series well...
and dont get me started on cpus now
generational ragebait
If you want the better RT I'd still go for the 9070 xt

Depends on scalped prices though
from what im seeing on ebay, the xtx is 50-100 more than the xt
Real
before skype, there was ICQ and IRC

Hi guys,
So this is the build I’m going for:
7800 xt gpu
7800x3d cpu
Msi b650m gaming WiFi mobo
32gb 6000mts cl30 g skill trident
1 tb Samsung 990pro
Noctua d15 cooler
Lianli lancool 215x
Psu 750w 80+ gold certified(msi)
Please let me know if I should change something
1.4k usd
Only thing i'd change is the 990 pro and also the 7800x3d idk how much you're paying for it
350$
New
I expected worse price wise
Is it bad? Since some websites sell it for around 450$ but I got it for around 350$ on a website/physical store
If you do want to stretch your budget a little i'd try putting a 9800x3d in there but idk how strict you are with your budget
350 is fine
That’s around 500$
I expected it to be super close to a 9800x3d in pricing
Ye you got the 7800x3d cheap enough thay its fine
Some people pay like... 450$ for 7800x3ds but at that point you're almost at a 9800x3d for 475$
Oh its a perfectly fine conbo
Combo
Really the only change i'd make is the 990 pro
Most 990 pros i've seen are way iverpriced
Is the performance difference a lot? Between the 9800 and 7800, since at this point I thought I probably will need to upgrade the gpu only in the future
I'd say try to get a cheaper ssd snd get a 9800x3d
Yeah, 990 pro is around 100$ and Kingston gen4 is around 60$ but what’s the difference really?
Samsung 990pro is one of the fastest drives around but the thing is unless you're some pro content creator who constantly reads and writes... the speedbump is whatever
For gaming its not enough of a change to be worth it
I mean then I need a good motherboard and a good cooler, no?
X670 or something
The motherboard is fine for a 9800x3d
The guy who builds this said the 9800x3d needs a good motherboard as well, if you want to overclock it
Only reason to get x series is if you need the io
The vrms on the b series board are fine
It's mostly about io
And mobo features
If you're just gaming B series is fine
Hell its easier to cool than a 7800x3d lol
And what about cooler? Since he said you 100% need the aio since they tested it on a lot of 9800x3ds
And i'm using a noctua u12a o mine
Really?
He’s not my friend
Its now a lot easier to cool than before
Oh that’s because they make these custom pcs for others, and this was said to me by like 3 people
Oh also can I get the 7900gre instead?
I have a comp sci degree
Guessing you live in a fairly low income country?
Probably why its still on shelves
But I’m not actually not so sure since the 7800xt nitro exists
But hey lucky you because they've been out of stock forever elsewhere
7900gre will be faster than a 7800xt nitro
But... do you have the 9070xt around
And the ones who sell it are selling it for like 900$
What about ram
The rest was fine
Should I get 16 or 32
32
G skill?
With ram brand doesn't really matter. What matters is the specs
They all use the same memory chips
What’s the difference between flare trident and rip jaws
The heatspreader/looks
What matters is you pick 6000 cl30
Gskill corsair whatever its all the same
They all use memory chips from hynix micron samsung
They don't actually make the ram they just solder it onto a board and add a nice metal heatspreader
So just go with the cheapest option thats 6000cl30
That's the part that matters
odd of them not to mention it
it might be cl36 as it is in most bundles (based on microcenter, us)
They did mention it here but it’s a different combo
Even if it was cl36 it may still be fine if the price is decent
But cl30 is preferable
how much is this in usd?
Around 700$
Also i looked up the asus board
For ryzen 7 it's fine, just not good enough for a ryzen 9
The vrms are a little weak on that model
thats in line with how much micro center is selling it here but different motherbaord
I probably will never need a ryzen 9 since I probably wont need any productivity
Msi b650m gaming WiFi motherboard?
Since they are pretty much the same price
Yeah I’m talking about msi
You were showing us the combo w the asus
So I think I should ditch the combo since all I’ll save is like 80$
What does vrms actually do
But still only for ryzen 7
Vrms are what give power to the cpu
The better they are at staying cool, the more power you can draw
If you want a good inexpensive bosrd
That's better vrm wise than both of yhose
So it does matter, will the performance be capped at something because of this motherboard? Or will be performance be maxed out
And can handle a ryzen 9
Only if you use a ryzen 9
What about the 9800x3d
Perfrctly fine
So it will display maximum performance?
Asrock B650M-HDV/M.2
And do you think the Kingstongen4 1tb nvme is good?
That board
Is an amazing value
And you can put a ryzen 9 on it
It punched way above its class
Its a really awesome board
They put the money into the vrms
While keeping the price good
So the 9800x3d can be utilized fully using this?
But it can with the other boards too right
Yes for a ruzen 9
Its just the vrms on this one are really good while still being afforable
No I was saying the Msi and Asus boards can keep up too right using the 9800x3d and utilize it fully
Yes
So can I just take whatever is available
This is more if you want to pop in a ryzen 9 in the future
For some reason
Thought i'd show you a b board than can handle it
:)
I’ll try to get this for sure
Well this what's nice is if in a few years you buy a ryzen 9 used or whatever
Also I’m investing like 1000$ on an oled monitor, that’s alright, no?
Since I physically witnessed the drastic difference between ips and oled
I mean I’ll probably just game
Ye then its worth going oled
Yeah
I’m going for the Asus 480hz 1440p monitor
I don’t want a 4k I don’t think my pc can run that
oled very nice for gaming and movies
I won’t be only playing Val tho I’ll be trying new games too
yeah
yes lol
I don’t think 49 will be great for comp games tbh
I don't play those
And curved is the worst for anything below 32
No I’m talking about myself
So for me this is heaven
Yeah I agree
what size is it? personally i think 1440p is great for 27”
its fiiiiine on 27
Same
Huh? What about distortion? Flat 27 inch is better tho
I was planning to get a 27 inch 1440p 480hz monitor flat
i had a flat 27 and a curved at the same time, after a while you get used to the curve, and then you notice the distortion on the flat one
whats the price difference of 360hz for you?
Around 200$
But what qd oled monitor has that feature tho, I might get that then
Whats a good ultrawide oled for arround 700-800
im more just saying dont let a curve stop you from saving a few hundred bucks if available
the older g9s are around that price, only up to 120hz or 144 tho
But I think there’s no monitor(qdoled) which is curved at 27inches and has a refresh rate of 360/480
Wbt like 34 inches
lemme look it up, been a while since ive looked at monitors
seems like it
what refresh rate are you aiming towards?
144/240/360
seems like people like the Alienware AW3423DWF (1440p 144hz ~650)
Prob 240
Did you want uw or super uw
Cheaper than samsung and uses the same panel
Rn brand new for super uw oled 240hz its nice
he said he wanted 34”
Oh
sorry i got confused
Experience stunning performance with the vast 34” curved WQHD LG UltraGear OLED gaming monitor. Stay a step ahead of the competition with an ultra-fast refresh rate up to 240Hz and .03ms response time that will bring you into the game like never before. And with the steep and dramatic 800R curve,...
MSI MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED gaming monitor: 3440x1440 UWQHD, QD-OLED, 240Hz, 0.03ms(GtG). DisplayHDR True Black 400 for vivid images. OLED Care 2.0 minimizes burn-in risks. HDMI 2.1 ports with 48Gbps bandwidth, 120Hz support, VRR, and ALLM.
Oh this looks pretty good
Whats the difference between oled and qd-oled
Heard qd oled turns like magenta when in light
Hey sorry to bring this up again but before answer me please understand Idc if im overpaying for a gpu by 200. If I find a 9070XT cheaper than 7900XTX just go for a 9070XT? I mainly care for performance over RT but having RT would be a nice bonus
Not trying to argue about pricing just genuinely want to know which gpu to really aim for
~$100 cheaper
Well 9070 xt is like impossible to find rn
Just the hypothetical situation i mean
Go for the 9070XT or the 7900XTX?
Like if u had them in front of you, the 9070XT is cheaper by $100. Which are you picking
9070 xt i like ray tracing
Gotcha i see ok
a bunch of 9070 xts can be found for less than the xtx but really only like 50-100 less
Nah yeah i understand this
9070 xt can beat 5080 if u undervolt i head
*heard
Which would you pick tho?
If u had to choose
Oooh interesting
Xfx merc rgb one
up to you to decide if 3% perf bonus is worth (non rt) and -3% for rt games
No yeah i was looking at that
of course undervolting is available for both cards
Makes me lean a bit on 9070XT idk
Regardless of my decision itll beat my 6800XT so both are upgrades
ive been able to run my gigabyte aorus at 60% of its tdp (340w -> ~200)
Might go for 9070XT
not much of a performance hit
Trying to sell my 6800XT
But idk how long thatll take tbh
Its the xfx speedster merc319
im not sure, look at recent sales on ebay or smth
Over $1000 lol
Arround 500 600 is a good price for used
Thats the price for them
oh no he's back
shh
Look already stated that I understand my choices. No need for that energy anymore
Not looking to argue my man
Just trying to talk components
that can do
as long as its not validation you're looking for
im selling my old gpu to fund a new case and some fans, it isnt worth much anymore lol
Just trying to sell my gpu just to make some sort of money back lol
But i listed mine already for $600 starting bid
3060 sells for 200-225 used on ebay, might sell it to a friend or sell it locally
the xtx is nice if you wanna dabble into some vram heavy stuff
or plan on playing at a really hi res
Just nervous about having to ship it. Always am nervous when shipping expensive shit
that 24gb framebuffer is really nice for 4k
Whats ur takeaway on my question actually since u own a 7900XTX
local cash is better and more preferable imo
Would u keep ur 7900XTX or grab a 9070XT?
if i had the choice for my current setup i'd still go XTX for the 24gb of vram because i play at 5120x1440
Ah ok
Is that extra 8gb really that much better?
a 9070xt is sufficient for me cause i play normal 1440p
Me too
all depends on the games you play and the resolution
at this high of a res 16gb is a bit tight
its fine
but some games can push over it
its starting
Cod, R6, Gta, Fortnite, Some single player games like elden ring, wukong
i dont have many of the newer games, majority of my library is like 2020-2022
i play mostly newer stuff but let me give you an example
space marines 2
that game's textures at this res can easily use 20gb of vram
with everything cranked
Space marine 2 actually runs really well on my 6800XT. Easy 90fps at 1440p
Never felt any issue tho with my 16gb
they're optional but they look awesome
did you install them? also remember im talking about 4k
not 1440p
Ok so at 1440p the 9070XT should be my pick then?
Awesome thanks
Does it really though or is that just how much is being allocated
the texture pack is an add on
released after
separate dl
people were complaining of muddy textures with the og pack
An add on that uses over 12GB of vram?
The first time i read this i only saw 1440 and just assumed it was 1440p lol. Forgot u have a wide ass monitor
How is it gaming on ultra wide
runs everything i throw at it
My gf sisters husband has a 34inch and that thing gives me motion sickness
Max i can do is 32
i have a 49 inch
I mean recommended specs for it is a 4070 super I think you'll be fine at 16GB
Sheesh
as i said it goes over in allocation but its tight
like real tight
big
I mean that's a 12GB card
i know
im saying at 4k you can get right up to 16gb
at 1440p 12gb is fine
for this game
and welp... if you look at indiana jones
that game really hogs vram
wonder how much vram the new doom is gonna hog
but my point is 16gb for 4k would be a bit eh
for 1440p awesome
but for 4k i'd still go xtx again
which btw indiana jones is an awesome game and more people should play it
my input on older games (as if 2020-2022 is old), it works pretty well
fh5 semi max settings with med rt got ~130fps (when the game actually worked)
apex is ~220-240, after extreme undervolting its more like 200-230
marvel rivals wasnt effected much by the undervolt, staying at 240fps
uhhh im definitely leaving a lot out
minds blanking
Eh even in Indiana Jones there are 16GB cards that beat the xtx in performance at 4k Ultra with RT
I don't think vram is the issue
Well guess what pumps out vram usage
The game has forced rt on
Haven't even touched the pathtracing mode it wasn't working on amd back then
It was greyed out lol
They just recently allowed it with the far4 patch
Also again i didn't say 16gb is not enough
I just said its a bit tight
Especially considering the future
Kinda sucks having a nice minitor and having to drop your textures
I keep my gpus a few years so i'd rather have the vram than not have it
Also it can be fun for welp running an si model on it
For fun
Cuz welp... fun little project are fun
I mean reality is if you game at 4k is new games aren't going to run on an old card as well you will have to turn down other settings more often then needing to turn down textures to keep performance
How much difference does ultra to high really make in the majority of video games?
Texture wise it's pretty big, other effects not so much
Also depends on the artstyle of the game but games wirh a realistic artstyle benefit nicely
they are doing this shit in my country now. my phone supports it but because it’s not on their whitelist they just unregistered my IMS
https://www.techspot.com/article/2338-ultra-vs-high-settings/ They should revisit this but there's quite a lot of games which people play now
Will my Ryzen 9 5900X get bottlenecked with a 9070XT?
that's not a thing
you are misunderstanding how pc parts and performance works
one part doesn't make the other be a bottleneck or vice versa just because it's a bigger number
in reality your game is always limited by some component in some capacity because it would be extremely unlikely and fortunate if your CPU was able to process its stuff exactly at the same pace as GPU is processing its stuff
some games ask more of your GPU in which case your CPU is chilling a little bit, for other games it's the opposite
a 5900X is still quite alright for most games, especially if you're playing on higher settings in a GPU-limited scenario like newer singleplayer games
if you want to just play the zoomer shooters at 1080p you probably rather want to upgrade the CPU
A game like helldivers 2 will leave him cpu bound
But its just helldivers 2 taking a shit ton of cpu power
But it really shouldn't cause any issues for most games
All depends on what's being played
Some games are cpu dependent, some are gpu dependent
9700k+7900xtx at a crazy hi res was gpu bound in most single player titles besides like... cyberpunk but that's just thr crowd densitiy setting
i just found my original logitech superlight after many years, it's completely yellowed out 😲
you smoke too much
i was trying to find the gpx2, but it's nowhere to be seen
i think i lent it to somebody
Is there a site or something where I can download profiles for my 80he
you can try your luck here https://wootabase.com/
- Updated to a newer Arch Linux base
- Updated the Linux kernel to 6.11
- Updated the Mesa graphics driver base
- Desktop mode now ships with Plasma 6.2.5
- Beginnings of support for non-Steam Deck handhelds
Amazing they actually put a newer base on there
One LTS kernel release out of date though
Almost one LTS behind even, the newest isn't officially released yet.
Is the 9800x3d really worth it?
Like at 4k or 1440p theres not much of a difference
9700x
No im looking to buy a new pc
Gpus are impossible to find tho 😭
Im getting a rx 9070 xt tho
i feel like 500 gpu and 650 cpu is a bit imbalanced
Imma have to play with integrated graphics for a while theres no gpus 😭
iGPU beats no GPU.
AMD iGPUs are great for, err, OSRS
I'm in the same boat as you. Mostly because I just can't afford the one I want though
Does not hurt to have one tho
Been playing Dark Souls 3 lately with igpu. Runs upwards of 60 fps on low settings 768p
They work well for PS1/2 emulation too
Does anyone have a separate numpad recommendation suitable for the 80he? 🕵️
I was gonna get a 5070 ti or 9070 xt but stock is non existent
Now iust stuck with 9800x3d
should i just get like a 4060 ti until the stocl comes back?
or just wait
personally very happy with my 7900xtx, dont see a reason why you shouldnt buy that, if you have a 9800x3d
guess it comes down to whether you want raster performance or if you wanna use dlss and frame gen 2x for your games
that's not a thing
#🔌│tech message here's what I wrote to the last person asking
like parts don't become worse just because the other part is better
just depends on the usecase but realistically any modern cpu and any modern gpu will make just a fine pair for mixed use
unless you like go out of your way to buy a 3k GPU and 50€ CPU, then maybe you have to re-evaluate your choices a little bit
kind of a thing if you can upgrade your gpu and save on the cpu - gpu is pretty much always going to be the bigger upgrade
thats why im on this
ah finally we don't have to hear about your gpu struggles

yeah the 58x3d is gonna be fine for a while still
it's almost as good as 78x3d which is almost as good as 98x3d
Needs some Arch Linux 😉
Akko is next going to realize that they're getting more frames and now need to spend 2 years researching and pondering the perfect new monitor... 😛

I'll pick an OLED monitor just as the Tendom OLEDs release
Almost reaching the point of being out of burn in warranty so 3 years on mine and there isn’t really burn in
fr, tried to get Star Citizen working but the downloads from the RSI launcher decided to troll me and give me errors 😭
i play cods and r6 with friends soo yeah im gonna stay on windoge
Hello can someone help me ??
Still a bit cautious with oled myself. Spend a lot of time behind my desk using exclusively light themes. and relatively a lot of web pages.
Probably not as bad a use as hardware unboxed test, mostly lower brightness and a bit less time, but still not the easiest use for it.
Maybe I should, got to spend that work money someday, keep underspending it.
Why if I live in canary islands why in the Page Shop i get the iva of spain, and dont the IGIC
🫠🫠
The Canary Islands are part of Spain
Shopify is only capable of managing markets for tax purposes based on country. Even though the Canary Islands isn't part of VAT, Spain as a whole is and therefore it is not possible to purchase excluding VAT even though it's likely that you will be charged tax at the time of import.
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/128300847 i mean i had my fun
It could do it because it does us state taxes fine, you'd think they could apply that to other countries
Reasonable assumption, alas...
No its not that like i'd much rather spend more on a good gpu and a decent cpu becuase 1440p and 4k are more gpu intensive not talking about bottlenecks or anything
i see this is part of the long running series of shopify actually has a lot of caviats and sucks in many small ways if you actually use it internationally in any larger scale
plenty of games are still cpu limited at 4k so it completely depends on what you play
I need like double my cpu performance from my 9800x3d before the gpu even starts to work a lot lol
Im using int graphics rn gpus are too hard to find 😭
still need to plan the next pc component purchase
prob wont go another 4090 for my gf but 9070xt
Good luck finding even a 40 series gpu
oh thats no issue
U live near microcenter?
more than enough listings on marketplaces and ebay
i dont live in the us
Oh
either way main issue is the price to get a 4090
Wouldn't recomend getting a 4090 off ebay or marketplaces
Like arround $600+ i wouldn't buy used
Eh I've bought 50+ used GPUs and everything that is 5 years or newer has been fine
Only old shit is iffy
Just film opening it and furmark it right after
eBay has good protection
I support that notion fully. Especially immediately after a cyclical crypto mining boom - loads of great cards for sale at bottom of the barrel pricing
Don't listen to naysayers who claim that it's a bad idea to buy cards used for crypto mining because they're "abused" or ran into the ground, that does not hold up to reality.
A card used for gaming heats up to extreme temperatures and then cools back down to room temperature over and over and over, which is far more stressful to the card than a card which has been running at a stable constant temperature for months or years on end
@unkempt lake BMW is on a generational throw
like what is this
after all the success of the f & g series (although the g series took people a but longer to like) they decide to pull this shit
Has anyone tried remarkable?
all because they hired a guy to design BMWs like theyre Rolls Royce and you can see it on sone of the current cars like the new 5 & 7 series and the IX suv
What don't you like about that style?
I'm not a fan of the color and the lack of a proper view is annoying, but the style seems nice
Better than the huge nostrils
I was going to caption the meme to make it relevant to the conversation, but actually nah it stands on its own perfectly fine as-is
im assuming this is either the 4 or 8 series of BMWs and the bodylines just doesnt fit either of those

like i said earlier, they hired a guy who wanted to design RR instead of BMWs and now he got his promotion to RR, theres 2 new designers for BMW
everything that made bmw great and unique has been gone for a long time
but theyre still gonna use the RR’s guys design for the next few cars
like sticking to rwd and naturally aspirated engines
they're just another computer on wheels brand now
yeah I feel so demoralized with modern motoring I feel like I may as well buy a chinese car
the new M5 is like 5000+lbs because of a forced hybrid system
Did this ever turn into a real car? This is hideous to me
yes its the i8
im pretty sure the i8 is still in production
This is somewhat better yea, the unnecessarily fat backend is gone at least
production i8
not sure whos buying but its existed for this long..
still not really an eye pleaser but compared to what they put out now its a beauty
ive come to like the g series, it isnt too bad (mostly because ive seen it around so much)
but yeah at the start, those front grills definitely threw everyone off
I mean it could be worse
they also killed the M2 with that boxy front, im still not used to it
And then you take "worse" and make it even worse
car design kinda peaked in the late 90s and early 00s to me, after that its mostly gotten more bloated and vulgar
The i8 I've seen in Amsterdam a Couple of times
why does a cheap grocery getter have to look like a fucking lambo in the front
no subtlety or elegance anymore, its all shouty look at me styling
with the new trend of “swimming” (making egregious traffic cuts) make it impossible to insure a BMW at a good price in NY
you see totaled M3/4/5 way more now than you used to
they're also a lot faster than they've ever been but still bought by the same idiots
