If you have your own fan curve it will override the card's fan curve

Just set everything to auto

Them tweak the fan curve if its too loud

I personally have a fan curve set in such a way that it remains relatively quiet, even if it ends up throttling. The XFX 7900XT just does not seem to be that great on the cooler department.

Still I have it reasonably quiet now at a power limit of 300w and it's still 15c away from tjmax.

Only thing i dislike is the 0 rpm feature, works great when just browsing but when alt tabbing out of a game sometimes it kicks in cuz the game is in the background but then when i tab back in my temps are high due to the ambient in the case and well the fans being at 0 and the fans ramp up quick for a few sexonds to make the card go back down again

But at the same time i don't want to disable it because i like it being completely silent when in just watching youtube and not gaming

Why do some people actually say that playing old games with new powerful hardware is a "waste". It disregards the fact that there is always still performance to be had even in older games. You can now easily play old AAA games at 4k 240 fps which breathes new life into it. And it's not like having new powerful hardware means you can't or shouldn't play old games when there are more good old games to choose from than very modern ones
