It doesn't even provide "slower" CPU options like 33mhz and below, so you still have a PC that's too fast for a lot of older games, and you'd need to use CPU eating tools and pray.

No It's just that It's very efficient, for example the most you'll see it use is around 90watts as It's an 8 core. Can ofc use more with oc but even that's not a lot. A 9950x in comparison is slower in gaming but has 16 cores and in general uses more power 220w+ so you need better cooling on the motherboard to deal with that

But nowadays even $150 boards are enough to run a 9950x

The higher you go the more you pay for looks and premium features you'll most likely will never use

And controlling audio, as changing the volume, mute, etc for mic and if possible, for headphones too

so changing the volume of the mic is something you never need to do in a casual environment, you set your gain once and that's it forever -- and the K688 has it's own touch-mute button

as for changing volume on the output (headphones/speakers), you really want a separate amplifier for that. I don't know of the quality of the amp in the SC3 for example but looking at it, I imagine every euro of the 60 they ask for it went into pretty lights and cool sliders instead of a robust amplification solution with low distortion

and in those days nvidia was pushing those effects hard so they were usually pretty flashy and noticeable
