Should have flipped it XD
90% chance you wouldve missed it and got put onto backorder anyway
Possibly yea
Was fun though, took me back to my early 2021 days of trying to buy my current GPU.... Good times... NOT
someone should tell nvidia about preorders
I mean flipping doesn't mean scalping
They should take a page from the obviously superior business: Wooting BV
Just sell it for a what you paid for it to someone you know
Batches?
true
We got Mr next gen up in here
Always available to purchase, delivery timeframe just depends on batch

That's just preorder
i wonder what this weird sigmup page they have is doing but ig it doesnt matter
The issue with gous is Nvidia never actually tells AIB when and how many gpus they get
the amount of posts ive seen online with retailers having like 10 total
or none
seems like there wasn't much supply of them in the first place
Some microcenters got tons

Website blocked for me
Off to #🐸│memes with that nonsense
Mmmmmm idk if I should have gotten the NH-D15 G2 instead of the original
reasonable pricing

Big link
This is the last link you click before you lose your entire identity
Grafische kaarten 🔥
Can’t believe you leaked the new kung fu panda game

Hwu overclocked the 5080 with the high end msi model and it's just barely match the 4090 at 4k
Uses like 40w now power
surprised it even matched I
But that msi model is like pretty close to 4090 msrp
So you're basically just buying a 16gb 4090
ouch
For like 1c better lol
What's this in F
Like 1
The noise is slightly better with the g2
Which lets you run the fans slightly faster at the same noise level
So technically you can get better temps
But unless you are running igpu, your GPU will be louder
didnt wanna figure out how the grap their weird filter works in the url
nor why it has to be in the url this way
But yeah unless you want a media center PC with a passive psu and igpu, the g2 isn't worth it
A liquid freezer 3 240 is cheaper and better at anything other than minimum fan speed noise
And what ever flavor of thermalright is out this week is way way way cheaper and will be lower noise than your gpu
This is coming from someone who owns a g2, and everything else noctua makes XD
If you had a 5090 you could melt all that right quick 😢
paired with a 14900k
I mean it's bette than a 3090ti
People forget how much more efficient the 4090 was
One thing I will say is it's nice that Nvidia cards hold their value lol
4090s had a higher stock power, but AIB limit was 550w
Seems with 5090 Nvidia is keeping AIB locked down like 4090
So while FE vs FE the 5090 is higher, highend 3090ti were brutal
at this rate ima make money buying a 5090 and selling my 4090 vs keeping it lol
Although I guess the 5080 is basically the 4080 super duper
LOL wtf
People are crazy

they just as crazy in the motorcycle world lol. some 2006 motorcycles and people want to sell them for like 6k 🤣

Reminds me of my old job at an auction company and we sold an old 1960s Stratocaster for like $38k
or people post 2016 motorcycles for 15k when the new one is 17k 🤣
10 year old bike with 5k of shit on it for 2k over msrp
lol
yeppp like make it make sense ITS USED!!!! 🤣
yeah somewhat lol
maybe not "cheap af" lol but rather cheap comparatively
in a way yeah. like what u spend yes. but i think its still equal in the used vs new comparison
like look at people selling 4090’s over 2k
Yeah its really just cause of the scarcity of these recent series
Nice
everything else got delivered already
Not your mint opal 👀
Been enjoying my cf plate with TtC poms
I'm impressed you stuck with it. I got scared off after a couple weeks and went back to PC.
🙌🏽
didnt order it yet. still debating. bc i wanna see how the cf plate looks with the keycaps lol
might turn around and order the amber keycaps 🤣
Oh right you're using clear caps, right?
Yeah. That's gonna look amazing over the CF
RGB is gonna tone way down, hope you expect that
thats fine i dont even have it that bright lol
it was bright in that picture bc i had just put it on lol. but after turning light off in room to play, i had to turn the rgb down bc it was like a flashlight in my face
Does wooting 2 he support HID lamp array to control the rgb leds trough lets say windows dynamic lighting?
No lamp arrays... yet
I'm looking for a 75% PCB with Hall Effect technology (HE). Does anyone know where I could find such a PCB or have any recommendations for a custom project?
I’m planning to use it for my own keyboard build. Any help would be much appreciated!
Damn really? Lol
It was a bit much for me. Felt like I had to swap to my gentler 60HE at night to not wake the other poor mammals in my house.
There is a HUGE amount of headroom left on the table with the stock clocks for the RTX 5080... today I show you how I achieved over 3200mhz on an RTX 5080 FE card and gained another 10%+ Performance!

Does anyone know a popular multi-stream plugin that most use for OBS
I'll believe it if I see non-influencers confirm.
most use an external service
Restream?
Thank you, as I am currently doing research on streaming platforms and plugins for them
yeah Im waiting for others to share, thought I'd share tho
Given the paper launch and Nvidia well knowing exactly what reviews would be like, I can't in good conscience take the word of any influencer who received samples.
This sudden shift in narrative is just a little TOO convenient.
OMG 5080 suddenly goated with the cheese?
Haha I definitely feel you
right and then 5080 stock is decent while 90s are abyssmal
Goat cheese?
goat cheese is good
it would be a huge surprise if a gpu which was much more efficient than other units on the same node wasnt overclocked as hard out of the box -_-
Yeh
But desktop mode is X still
The only solution I found was the enable Full System vsync and that introduced input lag
I've never seen a single FE card being available, they where "Comming Soon" for 20m and then straight went to "Out of Stock" ^^
its called bots
I know but damn, its sad for such a big company.
AI bought all of it
I guess so
DeepSeek R1 has all the 5090s
Is this DeepSeek in the room with you now?
is it possible to factory reset uwu keypad?
Yes, hold the top right and bottom right button while plugging the device in and then perform a factory reset via Wootility
(this is the same for all our keyboards)
I mean it's the first Blackwell card so it's likely AI snatched up all the 90s
Tons of people will dump 2k+ for 32gb or vram these days
doesnt change that stock for it was a joke
If the bots require GPUs to run, and the bots are acquiring the GPUs does that mean... they're time traveling? 😨
The 5080s stock was the same paper stock as the 5090 from the feeling.
At least for the FE
I agree
I like goat cheese
And well
Cheese in general
Goat cheese is as good as its name implies
What source do you have for that
No one has the number that Nvidia actually shipped
the stores themselves saying they had more 80 than 90s in stock?
Agreed
The whole ah yes magically the 5080 is an oc beast the next day after we put out a review calling it meh
And now ah yes it's worth it if you overclock it
Compare the 5090 to the l40
And you'll see why they sell
this was for US Micro Centers
its not news that the 5080 has some decent overclocking gains compared to others
tpu and others had that day one
Influencers are already putting out vids saying the card is worth it for overclocking
keep in mind decent doesnt mean it suddenly is better than a 4090
Overclocking is such a variable thing
yeah even Jay says that in his video
I don't consider it a thing you can sell a product on
tbf
Silicon lottery
Could get one that crashes after barely any changes yep
this isnt perfect scaling but its better than anyone expected tbf
5080 > 4090, it's been proven
why do u ppl care if 5090/5080 was in stock bc u werent gonna buy it anyway
6000 ada and l40 are 10 grand. Granted they have 48gb, but that's the next step up over 24gb, so the 5090 with 32gb is a steal
If your model can fit in 32gb it's golden
What are you on about
we know why they sell, that doesnt change anything about the 5090 having less stock than the 5080 lol
in retrospect it shouldnt be a surprice considering the early high efficiency
id bet all the efficiency gains go out the window with this oc
the 4090 sold more than the 4080 so thats nothing new
How do you know the shipped less 509ps
Troll bait
because we have the numbers here
There is no proof of how many they actually shipped
more just trolling not really bait
That's scraping data from a retailer
EVERYONE is saying it, aibs, supply chain people, retail stores, online venfors
I mean my local Best Buy only got 10 5090s I know someone who works there
And who sells the most of them nvidia
why do you think this is how stores showed it
yeah these are official numbers from MC
if nvidia does big deals selling them as l50 or whatever I do not care
to be fair nvidia couldnt have predicted that such a miserable uplift would be met with such hype
this entire discussion does not include deals that arent made via public retailers
yep
they could have easily expected that people would be more willing to get the best of the best rather than the 4080super-refresh
be it for gaming or ai or whatever
Did Nvidia not sell fe cards directly for the launch
they link to the stores that sell them in your region
so mc, or nbb or ldlc or proshop
or w/e else
I read that as lidl
MC funny too,
MC: "No Camping" - Allows Camping
Also MC: "No FE Cards" - Almost only FE 5090s
And when I realized that you did not in fact suggest that the Lidl had 5090s, well, suffice to say...
well maybe ldlc is the french lidl I dont know xD
Hi, sorry if this is the wrong channel. Any recommendations for a wireless numpad?
Well we got 5080s listed but no 5090s here in NZ
tryna sell that snake oil
Not that we ever get FE cards either so all AIB
$1300 4090 with 8gb less vram
That 1 triggers me, don't make it look more like a 7 than you have to 😣
Or is it a 7? 🤷
Turing you have confused me
19
But that’s a long top
Very!
Cross your 7's people
I think I'm going pass on these
($2700 is about $1530 USD)
I do personally
I wonder if it’ll even be hard to get in Korea. The gpu market here always seem not as crazy
And Zs and 0s!
And while we're improving ourselves, learn a phonetic alphabet 😤
If I'm writing a serial number or something I cross anything I can for clarity.
Anyway, sorry for the tangent
That's the price of a 4090 in France
I'm broke anyway after buying new phone 💸
You mean thank$ $no
Damn, my bad, thank$ $no
What a polite correction, thank$ $no
what phone ddid you end up getting?
Got an s25 ultra they threw too many discounts at me to say no
damnnnnnn
How??? The only discount I have on the website is the one to get 256Gb for the same price as the 128gb model
they gave him a free plastic bag too
usually helps make my choice for me 😂
LOL
Carrier discounts
Hopper is in New Zealand. If you shave 2 sheep they give you 10% extra discount
Depends on your region I guess I got it through the Samsung app
They call that the sheep activation
guys im an idiot
I freed 150gb of space on the steam deck
To install spiderman
But then realized it says ssd required
Anyone know when reviewers will get 5070/ti?
I freed space on my sd card
oop
Huh, that's the first I've heard of a game demanding being installed on the ssd
New games
10% off when through the app, signed up for pre-reg, stacked another code from somewhere and they txt me a code for being a "loyal customer" which ended up being about $550 off (USD)
Pretty common now
Also doubled my storage from 256 to 512
I don't bother firing up anything too demanding on my deck anymore, good to know.
This was before trade in (in NZD)
Same, got it for less than €800
this year I think I’ll finally upgrade phone maybe
€762 to be more precise
I haven’t done it since the updates stopped offering anything new a few years back
Nowadays feel like only reason to upgrade phone is when the software starts to actually have issues
There. Are. Other. Places. That. Sell. Phones.
Me who buys refurbished phones 👍
Now imagine that line with clap hands between every word
lel
I can recommend that somehow
But we all know that Lana doesn't read
That's a good chart, though the price should have been adjusted for inflation 😕
Also damning
eh inflation matters if you look at like 980 maybe
not for performance or recent gens
Is 80 series that popular? I always guessed most folks buy 70ti/super instead and if they ball then they go the 90
That makes sense since those versions come out later I guess
i mean gaming coffes are a thing with those gpu's
Yeah I meant more as in once the alternatives are out though
The steam chart id assume is going to be heavily influenced by release dates if you’re going by total cards
so would you change your mind if more 70s were being added to the chart each month than 70tis and supers?
60 sells the most as its in loads of pre built
sure
Yeah that’s what I’d assume too
4060 is the top you can get in-store at Walmart and office depot
They’re more regular joe priced cards. I know friends that went for that despite me telling them to spend the tad extra for a 4070 or 4060ti because it crossed a price barrier for them
Though my local Walmart has x3d 7900xt machine
yea even tho the us is doing insanely well for inflation compared to the rest of the world, its still pain
But that is new and very abnormal
The high-end desktops and laptops 3 months ago only had 4060
I don't want carrier locked phones
Hate that shit so much
you do know that most places sell unlocked phones right?
Idk how Walmart keeps employees from stealing 2k+ desktop lol
I mean that still doesn't stop them from stealing other shit
the computers are in special locations usually, and inventoried often
these are locked under the computers on the floor
often enough that the tapes havent been overwritten since the last one
It's the new "gamer zone" thing they are rolling out
ah idk about a new thing
Idk why my store got it, we in nowherevil
but id guess the locks are unlockable by a manager
But they have a 7800x3d-7900xt machine
And a 7600+7800xt machine
The 7600 machine I could see maybe selling
But I can't imagine there is a market for a 2000 machine here
They don't even stock OLED TVs here
i just want a great GPU
Thankfully carrier locking isn't a thing here in nl.
Get a 5080 at msrp
...really??? Even if you buy the phone at the physical carrier shop?
What about carrier bloatware?
im not paying 1400 euro for a gpu that is that bad
999 is MSRP
And that is the same as the 4080S
It's better in every way vs a 4080s
it hasnt launched for you yet, yall have to add a few months to release dates
thats us import bs, wait for it to come natively in the country
unless thats including 40% taxes in which case get rekt
How much is a 4080s
27% vat
Now to see where the 9070xt ends up performance wise
im gonna wait for the 9070
9070 is gonna be cheaper but its also slower
its not that i fucking care
?
You either care about max frames or frames per dollar
if you just want an amd gpu thats fine, but if you werent in the market for a 1k gpu, dont trash talk the zoomy bois that are expensive
so u can just pay 1k for a gpu out of pocket
correct, i have been saving up 2 years and ill decide if that goes to a new vr headset (standalone) , headset+ gpu, or just gpu
Think your 3090 is still fine in 2025
not for vr
Buh PC VR iz ded
i cant max out hla
and i might just upgrade gpu alone and keep current headset and old games
I didn't buy it at a carrier. I bought it at a shop that does bundle deals with a new contract.
But it's just a Samsung phone
So 5090?
cant afford it and headset, but maybe can by the time the samsung xr releases
was more thinking whatever middle ground that nvidia releases between 5090 and 80 if i also get a headset
I hoping for a mid tier vr after the os is released
Samsung vr is definitely in the 2000+ range
Companies that will focus only on the hardware and not the software
well yea, im expecting vision pro pricing
700-1000 range for those
im not compromising on display tho
gotta be > 4k per eye
(by pixel count, 3840x3552 is fine)
i never said i want a gpu thats 1k
so ignore the gpus that are that price?
soo 90% of the cards
name a single generation that released slower cards first?
we dont even know the specs for sure
heck theyve already been announced, altho amd hasnt announced pricing yet
amd hasnt started on the new gen yet, but you can just look at 7900xtx and know its worse than that
im not gonna belive in rummors for a card spec
ok? so why are you joining the discussion now? amd already said everythings a rumor until end of march
Intel earnings 👀
half an hour right?
They're prolly going to record another loss quarter
That's.. 2nd or 3rd in a row?
Maybe they can give updates on Foundry progress though
They did cut prices on xeon 6 recently
Some people say they might split up intel
Though I honestly would like a 16 e-core cpu for an efficient server
Get a Zen-C product?
They come with what most people would call proper small cores
amd is not efficient unless you go laptop chips
without chipsets
amd chipsets are pain
Ah yeah AMD's EPYC now have C cores too
If you want performance, you almost always go Epyc, but efficiency still goes to intel
You're running a server, there's efficiency in servers?
You get what performs the best
There can be
Home server yeah
You're not going to have 100% up time with a home server
even at work i dont work with a single server with more than 16 cores, and we are mostly virtualized
So efficiency is nice
You sure?
What brand
Sandisk
I mean unless you're hosting for a lot of other people
Sandick
youll never get 100% uptime unless you have multiple isps, especially in the us
But tbh SanDisk is that cheap I don't mind replacing every so often for not important things.
When you say uptime?
Do you mean just being on or usage
@pale sigil a few months ago it'd randomly unmount itself
Then today it just went poof
Windows doesn't see it
accessible
Steam deck sees it but i get errors when formatting it
Uptime for me is just not being idle
oh you mean usage?
@pale sigil have you had sd cards die too in the deck?
For the efficiency argument, I want an efficient cpu because a home server might be idle for hours at a time. Unless you got have home camera security.
I would like both but yeah
my 9900k is vastly less efficient than my 5950x but it idled 10-20w lower
Not yet
Yeah, that's why intel is still preferred for at small home server
That's where e core cpu comes in
Also quicksync
👍
Intel earnings not looking good, but after hours action is confusing
they beat expectations and its rock bottom price with 0 sentiment so its pretty expected
I knew I had this set up for a reason
XXDD
Guidance is pretty yikes
You may recall the Pebble Smart watches from about 10 years back, well it looks like they'll be coming back some time following Google open sourcing the Pebble OS used on these devices.

Why arent all smartwatches using e-ink displays?
the battery life gains would be crazy cause when its displaying the time it only needs to update once a minute
most smartwatches don't just show the time
Yeah, but when thats all they are doing they could drop to updating just once a minute :P
yeah, LTPO made 1Hz possible
Sure but they still use power to keep the display on. Rosie's point is that e-ink uses 0 power to keep a static image up.
While we're wishing, I want more R&D put into e-ink monitors so I can work w/ happy eyes. I know there's one company working on them, but it's early days.
Garmin has MIP displays which is kind of like an inbetween
Never heard of this, will look into it
🤷 But I don't want to read on emissive
Yeah they don't look the best but the readability in direct sunlight and battery savings are nice
Sure but I can't bring my library with me
I have lots of reference books that are 1000+ pages each, nice to have on hand ideally.
And I can't write code on a book (well, not very effectively)
Books are great, I agree
I do have a collection of books that I haven't read
That's what retirement is for, I'm told 😌
that's the m/billionaire mindset! books as decoration
Gotta delete that, hate seeing that nerd's face
almost a year ago xD
so @fickle ore hows that intel future looking
falcon shores cancelled, clearwater forest delayed by 6 months
idk im whatever just waiting for 18A, it'll bounce when trump tariffs and mag7 switch over
🚀
Best motherboard for 9800x3d?
the cheapest that has all the ports you need
I just use a B650
Do I need pcie 5 for the gpu?
no
And pcie5 for the ssd
no
performance is all the same really
asrock usually best value
Choose Your Parts
?
Oops forgot to add it
Blank lol
Part List
MSI needs to hurry up and release their mini itx
I use one and it runs perfect
every brand is fine for AM5 boards
All the bad stuff you heard about gigabyte was from years ago
if you dont do overclocking it doesnt matter what you get
What’s the point of the 800 series if it’s basically just the 600 series
Like no performance uplift right
Thunderbolt no?
Or really fast usb speed I think
thunderbolt/some pcie lanes but mostly because board vendors want refreshes to sell more
a lot of nice features that won't give you more fps
I just like a bunch of usb ports
like pcie bifurcation is pretty rare on cheaper boards
usually boards only matter for two things, IO so usb ports, pcie lane count etc. and overclocking features
if you got all the ssd/usb etc. slots you need and dont OC then just take whatever fits the bill
Asrock B650 livemixer is the best value board atm
Ok so 990 pro, Op18k mouse, wooting 60he, 9800x3d. B650 will be fine for that?
yes
Could get a Crucial P3 Plus 2Tb instead of Samsung 990 Pro
Any performance difference?
I mean the crucial is slower but you’re not gonna notice it
Kk
We got people in here who can feel 8k polling don’t forget
lol
Idk if I don’t feel the performance difference I’ll save the money
If I can I’ll pay extra
That’s how I see it
i went western digital
lol yeah idk why they’re listed so low
Should be around $100-150
For a decent b650 mobo
100-150? for a mobo ?
Those are new x870 💀
like 10
yeah those listings seem weird, might be some amazon listing thats just false or something
b650 starts around 100 or so for most boards
Asus good?
sure
i have an asus mobo
i like it. gave me all the usb ports i could possibly need. still have my previous msi mobo just sitting there in box lol
Oh I didn’t even notice XD was assuming B650
Yeah idk why those are so low
I’m on gigabyte rn and the bios is terrible
So I just want a reliable good bios good performance board lol
u east or west coast
I downgraded from my Asus to a gigabyte
Any reason?
Wanted a smaller form factor
Gotcha
6000 is fine, cl 28/30/32/36 will all be the same really, x3d cpus dont scale with ram that much
i have that sitting in box if u want it
Is 6000 optimal?
yes
basically every chip supports 6000 so its a simple enable expo and forget about it setting
I’m getting AMD
ahh gotcha
Ok I just saw some people saying 6400 and 8000 now lol
Is this a hardware only tech or can i ask a software related question
it often works but isnt guaranteed so might need you to manually set timings etc if you get unlucky
Iirc this one is pretty good
asrock has some good cheap b650 options yeah
the hdv, the pg lighting or pg riptide are all quite good for the price range
Asrock aka nzxt
Other way around
Or flip flopped
lol yeah
You should not buy anything more expensive than the b650e taichi lite
It is
yup thermalright is good and cheap
Shame that is end game mobo for 99% of am5 users
Yeah that one is nice
Can i ask a software related tech question in here?
Should I get Corsair or gskill or are those random brands fine
they are all fine
Just get whatever looks good to you
So i stopped playing TFT when riot introduced RIOT VANGUARD to league, i know completely nothing about this kind of stuff but the fear mongering and horror stories of it bricking ppl's pc's, it making your pc more vulnerable to hackers and it suspiciously having to run 24/7 on your pc even when ur not playing or have the game opened made me quit but i miss the game and think to myself, they have MILLIONS of ppl playing it daily can it really be that bad?
i also heard about the anti cheat is gonna stop being kernel level and only run when u are playing the game.
Should i wait untill they roll this change out or am i fine to just go ahead and reinstall league?
https://www.reddit.com/r/riotgames/comments/1gxhfmh/the_future_of_riot_vanguard_and_kernel_level/?rdt=37392
Whatever people who know more say is Good is what’s good to me
Mb for the copy paste
I've been playing tft this while time
Haven't notice anything funky with vanguard
lol i have corsair but they do get pricey lol
Most stuff is marketing and unless you’re overclocking, you don’t need half the stuff they tryna sell
facts
Gskill is the most popular
Yea league, tft and val have millions of players but you also have ppl saying it can brick ur system or make it more vulnerable
so tl;dr it is very invasive because in theory malicious actors could use it for nefarious things, so it depends on how much you trust riot and all that. the change out of the kernel wont happen for many months at the least
proceed at your own risk
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, NZXT H5 Flow (2024) ATX Mid Tower
Ok so final build. Good?
GPU is placeholder
Idk what I should get yet
5070ti is probably just barely faster than 4070 ti super
Not a huge fan of the H5 flow but not against it either , is that the one that had better thermals tho?
I mean i have stopped playing for over a year but ppl speculate it might happen near october since thats when windows is gonna enforce the change
Yes I just bought the 2024 refreshed version. Much improved
Thanks for the replies, ill do some more research on it and see what i can find
we dont know when/if windows changes it, they made some roadmap but its not final yet
Yeah that one’s fine
because even the current plan could take a longer time if they find more issues on the way etc.
Intel gets all the fun ITX boards
Literally I wonder why
Ah i see, my main issue is it having the possibility of bricking my system/making it more vulnerable, i already played league so if they wanted to do fucky shit they didnt need vanguard to do it
Fair
i just stay away from anything nzxt
Yeah not a big fan after their recent scam or whatever but
had bad luck with their aio
All aio are bad
2 of them just went up in smoke from turning the pc on after installing them
Air is better
my lian li aio is doing a beautiful job
I have never had bad luck with AIOs (yet)
Knock on wood
Used DeepCool, NZXT, Lian Li, Corsair AIOs and never had a leak or anything
lian li is working beautiful for me so far lol the nzxt are the ones that fried for me.
Yeah that’s gonna be hard to find
If you want a slightly fancier looking mobo for $50 then can look at the b650 TUF and MSI Tomahawk
But the PG Lightning should be solid
And those ASUS prime boards can be good too
Same I swapped over to air, I think I have a peerless assassin right now, but ordered a Noctua Nh-d15
Matx the goat
thermalright making AIO for $50-60
I don’t care for looks other than I’d rather have all black. Size doesn’t matter either as long as it works. And again brand doesn’t matter unless it affects performance
they have different versions there under that link
Yeah the liquid freezer 3 is like 90$ right now
And I think that’s one of the best cost to performance
AIO
I almost got one but it fits weird in my case so just went with the noctua

here just watch this and decide on a board tbh
has most of the ones we've said
Oh I did see the Msi one
and then just compare to current pricing, in case any sales or price drops have happened
Looked interesting
How can I cancel a order That didnt ship
I really wanted a 80he
'But its to much 💀
nvm cancelled

And it's a 360 which is the crazy part
The 240 is 40 bucks
for normal use its not bad. but for gaming the thermalright wasnt doing enough for me. thats what my pc came with.
Bad mount on the old one
Yea, I was gonna say maybe bad contact
it was on there just fine
A 360 will do 300+w with normal fans
the store from jawa i got it from even told me id prob need a better aio if i was gonna overclock or play for too long
And it comes with high airflow fans
So either a bad mount or someone set the fans/pump slow
nah that was after i set the fans to high
Then it had a bad mount
the guy had experience with them
he said they ok for normal use. but extended gaming the cpu will get hot
The prism is loud as hell at 100% but due to coming with high rpm fans it's literally one of the best 360 AIO you can get full tilt
now with lian li i can game comfortably
What your saying doesn't agree with literally any testing of the prism
ok if u say so
Everyone else has the opposite problem as you
i didnt have prism
i just know my experience with thermalright as a brand
thats the one i had
And have literally made some of the highest end coolers ever made
That comes with shitty 1500rpm argb fans so it isn't comparable to the cooler that was being discussed
One day I'll ask and it'll get the right answer, but for now I'll just let it run to see what it says
Mmmm, Hopefully it's the q1 or q2 version. Q4 needs like 400gb of ram
😭
lovely
4 seconds per token ended up
a bit strange since the disk usage never hit 100 and it only used 2GB/s of bandwidth but this MOE probably helped with that
The moe is pretty small yeah
What did it generat
E?
nothing out of the ordinary for these llms
Yeah, seems about right.
On CPU?
What is average access time?
Also I got tracking in the v100s
not really seeing any other numbers
and except for a spike at the beginning theres no gpu usage
Also you ever used optane dimms?
not for more than decoration lol
The v100 mobo supports it
Also in the pictures they sent me the box is sxm3 so I might get 32gb
Which would be amazing
that would be capable of running the big llama

This video talks about NVIDIA's paper launch of the RTX 5090 in addition to its launch of the RTX 5080 that no one wants. We crawl through the internet to try and learn more about just how low the inventory and stock was, as well as share our own experiences of trying (and failing) to b...

"He didn't even choose the Scalper Life, the Scalper Life chose him"
Also it comes with 240w CPUs it seems unless the box just says the max of the system
Yeah 256gb will be nice
I didn't know Skylake had 240w parts?
i mean they had a "750w" sku if you pushed it hard enough lel
This is a server so I doubt it can oc
Also seller says it has 8 dimms of 128
They cant test it as they don't have 220v to power it but it's sold nos and not doa
oh wow thats real sweet
But it has 8 GPU heat sinks so it's def 8 v100s
They said the box may not be original
It's rated for 2200w total system power XD
Which seems low for 8 v100s
V100 pcie are 300w and they are just sxm on a carrier
sxm are 250 tho
Can’t wait for ampere like pricing again
It supports dual 200w CPUs and like 3tb of ram
Hell there is gotta be 200w of fans
Oh shit I'm an idoit
It's 2+2
Not redundant 2200
It's dual redundant
So 4400w
4400 definetly seems normal
That's more like it
Also v100 is 300/350w for sxm
reminds me of when my friend bought a 3070 for like $1300 and I was chillin with my GTX 970
250/300 for pcie
Though pcie 32gbs are just sxm on a carrier
The 16gb is the same as a titan v
What if I told you this has happened with pretty much every flagship release
ampere was different with crypto
Ampere was longer
But on first release
I should get like 120+ tflop of fp32
NVIDIA recently released the GTX 1080 Ti and it looks like NVIDIA and Add-in-Board partners were underestimating demand again since the GPUs are all sold out. The 1080 Ti is NVIDIA's flagship graphics card and aimed dead centre at the high end, PC enthusiast market with an MSRP of $699. Only the Founder's Edition cards are out yet and they have ...
1080ti was insane tho
It was, but yeah pretty much same effect
The real question is how fucked is big boy nvlink to get working Carmonben
lol wonder how this guy feels now
if he was sayin 8 years ago that gpu department is boring
true
some of the comments on here are hilarious
can't post them here tho
What's wild is all 8 gpus share a x16 3.0 to one cpu
It's setup for connectx nics direct to GPUs over pcie
No way I get that working
@astral haven optane dimms are as much as ddr4
yes?
Censored AI in action
Figured they would be cheaper these days
it is what it is
I thought it was kinda funny
the persistence without needing backup batteries is special
Yeah but what can actually use it in memory mode?
Figured this would be the only time I'd ever actually use the dimms
Some AI are soo censored, saying unsavory thing could be one of the way to know if it's AI
But 3200 128s are 50-60 each
also this isnt correct, they are connected with multiple pcie links and pcie switches
Nope
Single x16 3.0 to CPU 0 for the gpus
The pcie version uses multiple links
The sxm uses a single
no there are two options for mobo
if you go single root, you still get all 8 gpus with 1 cpu
dual root means you need dual cpu to boot 8 gpu
The option is for the 6u that uses pcie slots
It can have dual or single per cpu
The nvlink only has single as an option
DP Intel, Dual-Root System with 10 PCIe GPUs
oh wait you right hmm
strange, the dgx 1 is dual root
It's because nvlink is used with rdma
btw supermicro claims 2x dual x16 links for single root
It has 4 nvlink switches and each has a dedicated x16 slot for a nic
I'd imagine it had 4 dual 40g in mind
Oh wow
It specs dual 200g
They are x16x2 cards
That's why it has 2 x16 on each side of the gpus
gen 4??
ah so 2 200g nics not 2x dual 200g nics
So if you look at a connectx 6
There is a connector on the bottom
You plug in an aux card to get x32
sure but x32 is 256gbps
my cx5 dual 100g cards are the max that 4.0x16 can handle
Dual 200g as in 2 200g
dual 200g is over the limit
It has 4 slots so 2 cards
just bottlenecking?
It's a single 200g per card
ok thats what i thought
Check the pic
so this
Never seen a pcie x32 device before
But only way to get 200g on nvlink then
Likely some overhead or latency bonus on using 200 vs 2x100 on rdma
half as many ports needed on your switch
Yeah but cost per port on 200g vs 100g
Plus I bet that 200g card with the aux board is almost as much as 2 100g
Plus 200g transceivers
these aint gonna use transceivers
Could you get 200g dac back then?
dacs all the way
only problem with dac is distance, but coax can do some insane speeds
The ieee for 200g passed like 6 months before these was released lol
yea but 56g serdes links have been around for quite a while
2014 for the first one i can find
But you still need actual cables to exist and be on market
they made them themselves...
nvidia was already doing the whole vertical integration thing at that point
They do infiniband or Ethernet but yeah
But yeah dgx-1 was p100/v100 16gb with only 50g
Dgx-2 was v100 32g with 8x100g
Sm offered v100 32g with only 2x200
The a100 dgx moved to 8x200g
16 GPU would be dope, but I doubt they would ever go cheap
fun
16 gpu with 32gb dudes would be enough to run the new deepseek
but at that point just get 4 strix halo machines
yea my client open webui automatically hides the bs for me
I'm tempted to hunt down a 10x16 chassis now and get 8 converter cards
It's not hard to get the converter and cooler on ali
i really want to try out this llm all in ram but its gonna be around $800 in sticks alone 😭
otherwise i need to get a new system
yea but if i had the cash for gpu systems id buy a house with that kinda money
im trying to run 671b, 32b works just fine no problemo
to run these gigantic models there is still a minimum size per gpu, and i dont know what it is
and again its only $800 and ill get a 10x speedup
i have a ton of pcie splitters already
and nice ones not the mining bs
yes and no
minimum model size exists
for llama 405b the minimum size is around 5GB, so basically anything works
but if you bought 50 4gb 580s youd be sorely disappointed
deepseek 671b idk what the minimum size is, it could very well be 20ish GB
(moe size is 37B)
zfs?
oh repurposing it into a storage server after
I ended up getting XTX for little bro instead of XT
i Got an order through, it seems to have become a backorder from what i can tell. So... kind of? considerin you cant order anymore i sorta did get in
moore's law is dead did napkin math quick make an artocle
if 9070 xt beats 4080 super I would be very surprised
moores law is super dead
but if you delete your bad made up predictions then all your predictions are accurate
Ayyyy that’s a win

yea i hope it stays that way and gets shipped soonish. but considering the circumstances thats further than i expected to get
I have never done this, hope i dont kill it
weekend trip with the nerds
more social activities than my weekends
mines cheaper tho
less than 10% slower
So it's an XTX
But yeah it's mlid so the article is just invalid
Can they just shadowban him across the industry so he goes away
Oh Steve... 😄
The 5090 doesn't exist. The 5080 SHOULDN'T exist, but the 5090 doesn't
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMd2WHKnceI
Even the US got shafted hard on this paper launch. Fewer than 300, 5090s for the entire US in Microcenter.

yeah its really wild that this is even a launch
300 sounds like review samples numbers
im sure AMD has more 9070 XT's sitting in microcenters already
TLDR from the video: Weird timing of the launch and lack of products, is likely a combination of wanting to hit CES for media coverage, getting ahead of US tariffs (It's not us setting high prices, that's your government, the MSRP is before Trump tax) and as a consequence - CNY, meaning low production at the worst time possible 😄

:/
fuwaa, at that point might as well get A6000 48gb if your usage is AI
waow, thought that was dollar, nvm
Just to make sure getting 6000 cl28 vs cl30 doesn’t matter right?
Or should I get cl28
minimal diff, but not that you would really notice
And then should I go ahead and get 64gb or is 32gb fine for a couple of years?
32 is fine for a long time
for gaming ye
try unplug and replugging without touching the key
GeForce RTX 5080 & 5090 were sold at Proshop 🇩🇪 before the official sales start. Selected people were provided with special links ~40min before the official sales start, via which the cards could already be (successfully) ordered. Everything was sold out ~30min before the launch.
lol
I think it's been discussed today or yesterday already but meh
tf
but proshop always seemed sketch to me
This amuses me
didnt have a problem with them yet
was able to get a monitor before reviewer nda ended bc of them tho
but this thing is weird
time to send them an email to get an early link for next drop
that is funny
Holy shit why have I suddenly started caring about pc aesthetics
Before I didn’t give a shit why am I trying to justify a Hyperion case
Desires
Proshop is fine they aren’t shady, the issue is scrapers found the links from the NVIDIA website to it and managed to trick the system, it’s not that they gave the link to friends
I couldnt care less about aesthetics, it just has to works and with perfomance
Once again scalpers being the ones causing issues
is there a source for that?
well wouldnt they cancel it then
I’m like this but idk I really like this case even tho it’s completely stupid and unnecessary
money is money
I know someone who showed me where they discussed this xD
yea but if they take it they bevome shady if they were innocent before
I mean they aren’t at fault for NVIDIA making a shit website that leaks the link
