it is complicated, in the short exchange there you just blurted out like 5 different tools/techniques and yeah when I did the whole switch fuckery I had 0 understanding which one of these things mean what, what do they do, why do I need it

and when something doesn't work I don't know which of the 7 layers of installed things is the reason and how I fix it

and especially since half of that stuff is under constant fire from nintendo and thus sites stop working, go down or whatever and now you're again hunting for where you get sigpatches (still don't know what these are) or whatever else

Nah there is a large secondary market for "not for sale" cards

I have 4 ati/amd and 2 Nvidia pre release cards, they aren't hard to find

90% sure the actual hardware for that prototype was a titan, hence why the cooler was so crazy. Nvidia made 4090 based PCBs for testing to prevent leaks

Very common to find prototype samples with gimped max performance, to prevent leaks and to kill the resell on them.
