There's AI and then there's machine learning
Everybody should rightfully love machine learning, it's incredible
What "AI" is nowadays is disappointing marketing
machine learning is a good stuff
can my gpu be cheaper now
Machine learning is our path to the future
can i get a 5090 for 590$ :D
What Microsoft is doing with Copilot though, is borderline disgusting and not what we should use "AI" for
I only see the worth of LLMs in enterprise and professional applications
There's very little worth I can see for the casual consumer who for some reason wants a video summarized, with errors
I think there're interesting applications of LLMs in stuff like healthcare, stuff like software and hardware development
But seriously is shitty music and shitty image generation what we need?
You know what the biggest problem with pushing all-things-AI is? Wrong direction.
I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes.
But you don't need AI for laundry or dishes?
It can take care of kids though
Maybe
I actually dunno about that one
yes we need ai to kill people
Can it take care of kids?
im calling luigi
Figure of speech I guess
Let AI do mundane tasks, so we don't have to do this anymore
Deep learning is only relevant in the professional industry imho
I mean it's really useful for generating boilerplate code
Not even boilerplate, it does whole code really well
You should give it boilerplate, in terms of instructions
Otherwise it just hallucinates lol
AI can really well fill out the rest, instructions are key
Fuck no.
I don't recall how many hours I spent into correcting and bugfixing code my coworkers just generated with AI and didn't bother to check
And I cannot make neither Copilot nor Claude to generate code when I actually need help with it
yo anyone know why when i try to buy the wooting 60he+ it just like rejects my order
yeah i'll hack into the mainframe and check
Check in your bank app/website, most likely you'll find reason there why it rejects the payment
in my bank it like when it pays it i just see 2 orders but it dosent get my money and the website dosent say anything like it just says no orders so
So it looks like something on the side of your bank blocks it
Otherwise if you managed to order it and it doesn't show up in the hub, it may take up to an hour until it refreshes, if you have confirmation in mail then you're good to go
alr well it confirms it but then rejects it so maybe with my bank but idk why with my bank since like everthing i buy it goes in
well i mean atleast it didint get my money so i mean its good like that i just have to talk to my bank ig
Maybe you hit daily/monthly transaction limit, maybe it needs 3D-Secure confirmation and backend doesn't request it to show up... Many things really
my card or the website needs 3d secure conformation
and you hit daily monthly transaction limit if you mean the website its my first time using it to buy the wooting and if your saying my card it dosent have a daily monthly hit so
idk if its my card or the website
I meant your bank's website/portal/whatever, there should be info why transaction was cancelled in notifications somewhere
okay can u tell me like how to check that
is it in my gmail the website
oh
okay look
This is not an accusation that your purchase is fraudulent. Instead, it means that the risk of potential fraud is too high. The characteristics of every order we receive are measured, and a risk score is calculated. Above a certain threshold, orders are automatically rejected.
it says that every time i try to buy it
its says its high risk of being fruad but whats fruad lmao
You have to either contact support then https://wooting.io/support or use different method of payment unfortunately
bro whatt
whats the other methods
well i already texted them they said 5 days or 3 sum like that welp that they well help me since like the holidays and stuff
alr thx santa cals
yo
i got a question
if i dont use shop pay
can i use google pay like is that the same thing or diffrent
so my card wont get rejected
Only one way to find out.
can i @ ppl for help
no because people on here wont be able to know it
can only try it out and/or check with your bank if nothing works contact support
Any audiophiles here?
Probably at least a few all with wildy varying opinions on what the best gear is
lmao nah I just had a question about a piece of gear and my speakers for what cables I need
google isn't exactly giving me an answer lol but maybe im just dumb
But 360 supports 8 controllers, and it should be xinput
can somebody give me a good pair to go with the 9900x I have a 3060 right now
Hey I wanted to ask do you think a 7950x3d will be massively bottlenecked by a 5090
I wouldnt call myself one but I have a very strong appreciation for audio integrity and quality
you could think about disabling the regular CCD and it will just be a 7800X3D with 8 extra disabled cores
probably not that bottlenecked tbh
also depends what you play
No
does power over displayport exist
a 3080Ti for example
aka my gpu
because I wanted to see if maybe I can power my portabke monitor with 16+W of juice just through a DP cable
from my 3080Ti
if not possible maybe there is a PCIE 8 pin to USB-C that can act as power delivery when my PC turns on?
Maybe what you're looking for is thunderbolt
Check your mb specs if you can add thunderbolt card
Doesn't USB4 basically do the same as thunderbolt.
I think so
so, i could disable the iGPU and use it as power delivery for the monitor and plug it into the GPU for a DP signal?
I got it figured out, thank you though, I appreciate it, will keep this in mind next time lol
no problem but what was the issue?
Was trying to figure out which Schiit device I could use for my speaker setup
and which cables I needed to do so
oh I see, depends on the portability aspect, BP from badseed did a video on schiit
if I needed one probably the small pocket sized one would be for me
ill have another look tho
Can someone explain this to me?
On my tablet I can get gigabit over WiFi and a good data transfer but my phone is shit
I'm going to guess it's because a phone has a significantly smaller antenna?
Sadge, that probably explains why I wasn't getting more than 500 on my Deck
Deck Oled has a lot of wifi issues iirc i saw a bunch of people have issues with those
anyhow going to bed cya people
Bet thank you guys
no problem!
7800X3D is generally 2nd fastest CPU so 7950X3D with a disabled CCD will be a 7800X3D basically
Pixel 7a so no but I can use my 6ghz channel
no but my memes are edgy
I cant handle the red names lmao, now everyone is Calder

it doesnt?
the 360 and 360 dongle both only have 4 controller support
you need more than 1 dongle to get more than 4 controllers connected to a pc
and iirc 5-whatever dont have any green light on and only work in games using gameinput due to the xinput limit
at least my 360 and 360 dongle both dont accept a 5th controller
On 360 a few games support more than 4, but yeah you need wireless and wired
Damn
it's a VA panel so I'm rather skeptical of it, grey uniformity, smearing/response times, pixel transitions, etc
So good or bad
I have no idea what you just said
Never heard of titan army
Well what’s a good monitor for 390 or less
If you want a similarly kitted monitor that is 1440p 240Hz I would suggest an IPS panel by KOORUI, such as the 27E3QK
3 of my friends own this monitor and they really like it
oh, well I wouldn't personally recommend VA
USD
ah ok
$390 USD is your budget right?
Yes
ah got it
I might get this
do you want 1080p or 1440
?
one sec
1080p on 27 inches is pretty low pixel density imo
You should probably be looking on rtings for monitors
What gigabyte
I’m looking on amzone
Gigabytes monitor are hit miss imo
The higher end ones really good panel, low end ones bad
I have 2
I NEED A GOOD ONE 390 usd
G series suck
What about tuf
lets see
Honestly IPS monitor a gamble
Realm royal
depends on the blacks
Hi Pleasant
can I send an amazon link here for a monitor
im not sure if I am allowed to do that
What monitor u use
But this look so good
iirc there is a review on monitors unboxed
lemme see

Life was simple when m32q existed
Hopefully this can help you @primal musk
There a similar gigabyte version
Are you sure this one isn’t good
I like this one I just don’t know what the downsides are
What’s va
I wouldn’t go VA for gaming
some panel with bad angle
I just care about performance
VA is really bad for motion clarity
IPS now is very fast, affordable and color accurate
TN is cheap and super fast but washed out viewing angles
G274QPX is a decent value
va is really good for color accuracy but besides that it’s just smeary and has bad viewing angles
For my ips I use 10 bit srgb
SO WHATS A GOOD MONITOR NOTHING LESS THAN 300 for gaming 240hz+ cmon guys
open it up and touch the capacitors for fun
G274QPX I just looked at review seem pretty promising
There are some IPS ones with 240Hz, check amazon
Don't buy a VA at that price though
N curved monitor suck
Like this @primal musk https://www.amazon.com/acer-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayHDR-W2bmiiprx/dp/B0C1T35BCF
In competitive gaming, every frame matters. Introducing Acer's XV272U gaming monitor - the WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Through AMD FreeSync Premium technology, the game’s frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of ...
I would get the G274QPX
very good reviews
that’s the g274qpf-qd
What's the difference, usually if it's just a single letter at the end it's like "oh that one doesn't have an USB hub"
OMG THIS ONE LOOKS CRAZY GOOD
Any NanoIPS at your price point?
Or "This is with a Nordic plug"
(Also helps sellers hide price manipulation huehue)
If you want a good panel, try finding a aNanoIPS
Nothing less than 300 max 390
This might be the one
Prolly just a rebranded Koorui
bro just look at monitor reviews online
I heard there really good
rtings, monitors unboxed, etc
32 is too big for QHD, 27 is perfect
wooting bless my new setup🥰
If it's 30inch, I'd do 4k.bit that's not really for gaming
You live in grayscale?
SOOOO?!?
wha da hell is dat
dude multiple people have already given you recommendations and you’ve just gone off to find something else on your own. look at reviews yourself and do research to find something for you. it’s not that hard.
Tbf this seems alright looking at Newegg https://www.newegg.com/msi-mpg-275cqrxf-27-qhd-240-hz-rapid-va-metallic-black-rgb/p/N82E16824475412?Item=N82E16824475412
Rapid VA which is better than the normal one, does need some colour tuning but it's pretty good
I still don't know what's the point of a KVM switch
I just connect all that shit to a PC, why'd you need that in your display
if you have multiple computers
I guess for people that hate cables I dunno
Laptop and desktop
Why'd that be in your display though?
Tbf I like that panel just for the USB-C
Can I pair a 3060 with the 9900x
Dunno why they think they can't, 3060 is still doing just fine
Hold up it's slower than a Vega 64?
Ah that was just 3DMark, I thought it can't be that bad

whole lotta nothing
@ashen spindle do you recognize the card model?
That is not a reference card I've ever seen, and apparently these are in new ads, peeps are thinking that's the reference design for RX 8000 series
Image search doesn't come up with anything similar either
where is it from?
I've not seen a reference design with Radeon logo in top left
doesnt seem familiar
first thought what if its some ai generated ad lol
Seems like a CoD ad maybe?
I can't find it with image search
Is this like brand new
That looks like a sleek design to me
It's on the main AMD webpage
generative AI for AMD ads would be so effing stupid
What the fuck is that in the back
Logo is clearly top left, that's not an existing product
Is that a Pro card?
It looks like the RX 7900 XT reference design just that one has no logo that I can see
Idk, confusing and CES can't come soon enough
Looks like the reference edition 7900 xt
That one does yeah, but the one in the ad doesn't even look like that
strix
Not a Strix I can find
Tbf I can't verify the authenticity of the ad
Some lad just posted it on reddit
Saying it was running since at least mid November
its so easy to fake stuff these days and optics are never something I cared about really
I think I've seen that ad but I can't find it with image search so
Bleh, cool card though
I bought one finally
It doesn’t give you the whole description but I looked into it and they got good feedback on yt tiktok reddit etc
why u bought ips not oled?
Oled more expensive
IF I HAD A COUPLE MORE 100 I’d buy an OLED BUT IM NOT RICH
It’s still a good monitor though 😊
i work in 3 shifts soo its pointless for me to get OLED
You are one of those people that look at raw numbers and buy the biggest one eh
Looking at that display, it seems to have ghosting and dark smear issues
Also, FHD? We literally gave you a bunch of QHD options all of which were better in image quality.
u could also just like save for one more month if you don't need a monitor today
I'm thinking of getting an oled next year maybe, my current monitor is kinda ass
what monitor u think is the top 1
rn for gaming
You do anything else than gaming?
There's some 500 Hz+ monitors if you are good enough in competitive games
If you play singleplayer there's plenty beautiful QD-OLEDs that are fast enough
If you like immersion there's gigantic ultrawides
It's not really a clear cut answer, what are your use cases
i mean i have good pc but i wont have 500fps stable so i think about 360hz oled
what u think about tihs
i mainly playing fortnite comp
MSI MPG 271QRX would be fine for you probably
If you are not spending too much but enough for a good QD-OLED
yea i was thinking about this or the one from dell
At least from what I'm seeing it's a top of the line model for 800ish rn
Which is a decent deal tbf
AW2725DF
dell alienware AW2725DF what u trhink about this one
would u pick this or msi
Hmm, Gigabyte AORUS FO27Q3 is even more affordable and has better picture quality than the MSI one
Really good?
but u would pick msi or dell?
MSI
im fine with my 300 euro monitor
Same
why?
I don't like Dell
ah okey
Meh it seems to not utilize HDMI 2.1, not the best brightness, has VRR flicker
can somebody recommend me a good gpu for 1080p gaming that is cheap
check sites like rtings or tftcentral or review channels like monitors unboxed to make dicsions on monitors
Indeed I am basing my comments on what Rtings are saying
New intel one is decent
Can it run new games
You said “good gpu for cheap”
If you mean graphic heavy games, you def need smth over $250
Well maybe not
oh I meant cheap like under 300
Depends on what fps u want
Intel one is for you
Cheap and good performance for price
What’s it called
Idk search it up
Intel arc b580 or smth
It’s the new one that’s releasing
Watch ltt vid on it it’s got decent review there
depends, in the eu its not worth it for the price
can it out preform my GeForce 3060
It’s rivalling a 4060ti
oh ok I’ll get that then
Oh mb then just go 4060
how much is that
are you in the eu
What’s that
oh god
Same price
Should we start running
na school system strike again
u dont know if u born in the USA or the EU
oh wait
sorry my brain turned off
I’m USA
It's not a decent enough upgrade from that card imo
Can I have your 3060 perchance
3060 to B580/4060 is not a decent upgrade
Wait for CES to see what Nvidia is doing for next gen
It’s the only upgrade he can make in that price range
For now
It’s a good upgrade
I’m gonna sell it so I can afford the 4060 along with other parts
It is not
And why not?
How's it a good upgrade? 4060 is barely better than a 3060
B580 tho
no
Not a good improvement in raw performance either
4060 is 20% better
Ok listen, he asked for a gpu in that price range, I told him it
If you are buying a lower end card from a 3060, there's not a good improvement for you there yet, wait for CES
I mean how much money would I get for selling a intel i5 12th gen GeForce 3060 prebuilt Lenovo motherboard 16 gigabytes of ram and a 500 80 plus bronze psu
there is no point waiting for ces because the <300$ cards arent shown there anyway
Unless RX 8600
as long as it’s 400
Doubt those mid range nvidia cards will be coming out until at least mid way through next year
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwBAsnf54V0 watch this LOL
Check out Jawa for amazing deals on PC hardware https://jawa.link/OwenDec24 Use code OWEN10 for $10 off your first purchase!
This B580 review focuses on direct comparisons with Nvidia's most closely priced GPUs at a wide variety of graphics settings including upscaling at 1440p. Is the B580 the new budget king? let's find out!
Buy an Arc B580: h...
I should be 400
Tldr?
so what can I upgrade with that
It’s 40 min I’m not watching that
Erm… whole pc for 400?
Check out Jawa for amazing deals on PC hardware https://jawa.link/OwenDec24 Use code OWEN10 for $10 off your first purchase!

Buy an Arc B580: h...
Tldr pls
like the gpu
It’s too long…
i linked the TLDR
Oh then maybe 4070 ti / super
They gave you a timestamp for the conclusion lol
No I meant 4070
4070 non-S is still 500$ minimum brand new
Yeah tbh mb
Maybe amd gpu?
Yeah a few high end games like cyberpunk and gta
Ok then go 4070 id say
GTA5 is not a high end game but okay, quite the opposite
Cyberpunk is tho
If you want to spend 400$, check if there's a deal on a 7800XT
Oh I didn’t know
Smart man
can I get a used one
For 400$ your options are limited for a good upgrade, and the best option is a 7800XT or a 6800XT
If you get lucky
Eh
RTX 4070 either version, Super or not, 7800XT/6800XT are all good
Personally no
No problems with second hand cards tbf
As long as it's been taken care of and owner is upgrading, it'll work fine
i bought my 6700 xt used its perfectly fine to this day
I went to Craigslist and if you are in, let's say Cali (I mean, I selected Cali, and it's showing Vegas for some reason)
There's a good deal right there
tho 1440p is meh with it
Check Craigslist, if a card is sold for at least 100$ discount it's prolly worth getting
Can I do 7600
look up on youtube what the cards do in the games you want to play and decide based on that
check the price of the 7700xt
Like 400 dollars
i mean i guess
That’s in my budget
The one I found 7 dollars more but it doesn’t matter it’s 7 dollars
more then the budget
Wccftech insists they got insider info
I invested in nvidia 🤑
We'll see the reviews
more money for my stocks 🤑
Nvidia: 6090 will cost $7500
Half of r/pcmasterrace: yeah, sounds reasonable
And then we have what we have
Rdna 4 is either a hit or a miss
its works for me so i dont care
RDNA4 won't be anything special, just ray-tracing revamp
UDNA we should look forward to
i dont wanna spend more money then 400 euro max on a GPU
just because it wont have a top end sku doesnt mean it couldn just do a nice performance jump in the lower price classes
maybe 450 euro
I don't see it being mid, either it'll do nothing or it'll be amazing value
granted im not looking to go from a 4090 to a rdna4 card but for most people that will be the more interesting price area
Sure, but still, I don't expect much from it either way
Also AMD should really look into better ROCm support on their cards, official one, because right now it looks really pathetic...
that will come to strix halo first
and it matters wayyyyy more in data center where rocm is miles better now
consumers using it is nice but a fraction of the usecase
Cool, but in Nvidia camp, every single GPU since forever had official support for CUDA
For AMD? Only 7900 variants get official support from consumer cards
Given they bundle their mid-/lower-end options with more VRAM than Nvidia, that'd give them a nice argument to win some of the users, but they don't even try
The gamer doesn't even know what a CUDA is
may need a repâste
most people dont do that
the cost to make that a prio just hasnt really been worth it so far
it is needed but for amd it sadly doesnt make much sense to prioritize that
Yeah, datacenters give them more bucks unfortunately
As long as AMD gives us existing card performance with new tech features + 200$ discount, I'll consider RDNA4 a big W
You think you're getting a discount
with halo they do have an incentive to put more resources into it so I hope they do
16 gigs of RAM and GRE performance for 350 and 7900xt performance for 500 would be very nuts
Too optimistic
Unfortunately there's a big share of gamers who don't even want to look at the GPU without DLSS
No matter that FSR3 is really good too
I mean... remember guys it's AMD. Overpromise Underdeliver
for gaming cards they just need to have competetive flagships
FSR3 is usable at 1440p+
Strix Halo is also a very interesting proposition, I want some megaNUCs
Before FSR3 i found myself using XESS instead
Like in cyberpunk phantom liberty
Fsr2 just looked awful
No matter the setting i's set it to
I was happily using it with FSR3 in CP77 in 1440p and 800p, looks ok
wait how loud is the 7800xt
GPU? I guess depends on AIB
FSR2 looked so bad when driving around
Not loud at all
I havent tried the fsr3 update tho
ok Becuase I hate loud noise
Just make your own fan curve
You will be unlikely to hear it idle
What about under load
Most cards have zero rpm
At idle
Without?
It's a quiet hum, barely a problem
I know my 3060 is very loud so it will be way better in sound for me I’m guessing
25dB is quieter than your sleeping room lmfao
Then my pc will be silent then lol
Idk how you make a 3060 be loud, guess just a really bad cooler or case airflow
Or both
my gpu is quiet most of the time my AIO is loud tho
This is why I’m upgrading
I’m upgrading to fractal north
yeah its looks like that
Most oems still have blower style gpus
a HP prebuilt
well I’m changing all the parts except memory (getting wiped)
It’s Lenovo
whats your CPU right now and ram
16gb and i5 12th gen
its ddr4 or ddr5
ddr4
i would say get more money and go with ddr5
I’m upgrading it to 32gb ddr5
I don’t mean that
sorry I read wrong
no im selling the old ram keeping memory I dont need to change it
Everything except memory
2tb I don’t know the model I don’t have my pc with me
thats not memory thats storage
You're changing from 16G DDR4 to 32G DDR5 and keeping all the disks
I mean can I?
u just said u gonna save ur 2tb ssd/hdd
Sure, why not? 12th gens do both DDR4 and DDR5s
The cpu is switching to a 9900x
That's for gaming or workstation?
Gaming
9700x or 9800x3d better
Go for 9800X3D then, it'll be way better for that
It’s all sold out
9900X has 2CCDs with 6 cores each, which sucks for gaming
And re sell is too expensive
Then 7800X3D, still better for gaming than 9900X
I’ll return the cpu when it arrives
Should I get a 7800x3d or 9700x
7800x3d
So 12 cores isn’t enough for cyberpunk
Huh?
On the 9900x
its not that its not enough
No the issue there is the cpu isn’t set up as good for gaming no
they are mit well suited
its like a car with 8 wheels
its not useful for the road
The 9900 is 2 chiplets with 6 cores the 7800 is one with 8 cores which is better for gaming
but would it run cyberpunk
Yes
ok that’s all I need
atleast at 75 fps?
It’s the second best gaming cpu after the 9800x3d
Because my moniter is 75hz
I’m talking about the 9900x
I already bought the 9900x
I’ll have to return it
that’s 4k
Thing is games need smaller latency
Communication of cores on one CCD is faster than between two of them
That's why 8-core CPU will be usually* faster than 12-core in gaming
Also v-cache makes quite a difference for gaming, that's what X3D CPUs have
Also the fact that games don't need much cores, sure they are multi-threaded, but most of them scale up well up to 8 cores anyway
I’m in 1080p
Yes so cpu matters in games even more than gpu
For gaming you want few beefy cores rather than lots of weaker ones
And 7800X3D/9800X3D have exactly that
I say just
use it and dont bother with the hassle
time is money
I am in 1080p anyways
this is a waste of time
If you're spending that much money for the CPU it is worth the hassle
if time ism inch is an ATM machine a Time Machine?
How did I mess up spelling that bad
Lower resolution means cpu is more important than gpu
Guy's been posting for weeks about buying stuff and not getting what people suggest, at this point he should just get his shit together xD
can I run cyberpunk with it
...
I just need to know that
That’s 4k
AND
you're gonna give me a brain aneurysm
4k is more likely to be gpu bound so cpu matters less. Meaning, the difference will be even bigger at lower res
There ya go, 1080p
cals
i really don't mind helping i just... Bread please put some effort into reading what people post
Thanks
CP2077 being quite CPU-heavy loves v-cache on X3D models
Ok anytime I ask a question I’ll get straight to the point
and I’ll do that also
i did notice a nice improvement going from the 9700k to the 7800x3d especially in dogtown
Thanks, this will give us a chance to help you better
i did notice the difference from the 2600x to the 5800x3d
I did notice an improvement going from 3600X to 7950X3D
Also do I need to upgrade my 3060 GeForce to play this
I’ll switch to the 7800xt if I can’t
No it runs just with lower fps
In the rest of the game the 9700k was honestly keeping up well but dogtown would pin is especially with max crowd density
About 80FPS on medium without DLSS, 110FPS with, so... yeah, runs nicely on 3060
around that roundabout section in the center of dogtown in particular
I’ll be able to keep 400 dollars for this build then
Not having to upgrade the 3060 thank you
what's your current cpu bread
I5 12th Gen
You might want to upgrade in like year or two, but if you're happy with medium 1080p it'll last you for quite a while
you know cyberpunk got a patch for intel 12-13-14gen performance right?
why not keep using that
and just... save your money
not like any big titles are coming out soon anyways
Can’t it run more stuff then the i5
12600K holds up really nicely still
an i5 12gen can still play any game out there fine
it can run everything just not at high fps
Can it run atleast 75 fps
its in your pc LOL
just run the game and you know it?
I don’t have my pc with me
i dont have your pc with me either
then do so when you're home?

joking no hate
ok
nah i had enough im out
4090 humbled by cp2077 😭
fractal website shitting the bed just at this exact moment
casual
its gonna sit under my desk
soo i dont care lol
I love my Fractal Torrent
north would be S tier if the top panel was fully attached
It's such a pain in the ass to deal with when cleaning or even coming in contact with

yeah both Pop XL cases are like 100 euro's meanwhile North XL is 215 euro
yes
yeah soo Pop XL is good enough for me LOL
and for me the Wood design is not my taste
yeah the non XL north is 170 euro
the xl? that's a steal for 150aud
im living in Hungary dude
finally loaded. you have a cat right? I'd suggest air then, less possible for cat hair to clog
i have but he isnt near my pc at all
Damn. Got my h9 flow for 130 euros which already felt like a good deal
my pc is on the floor
hm... less likely to clog with your hair?
all my hair is in my wooting
At least you still have hair to shed 😭

can somebody tell me if the RX 7700XT or the 4060 is better
7700xt
@sonic adder got a fairly noob networking question, but I have a spare usb to ethernet adapter. so I'll have 2 ethernet on my PC. I want one dedicated to internet and the other for nas transfer. How would I set this up?
B580 is worth considering
that's it?
both are plugged into the router
acting as the switch
no
everything plugged into the router
hmm
If that's only NAS plugged in, then static address and route will be enough, no need for a router
main thing is when trasnferring files, my DL speed is obviously bad
I wanted to do this
but when I disable bonding, it breaks the unraid GUI
I have 2 ethernet on my nas
no I had all dockers and VM disabled
cuz you can't change the settings if they aren't disabled
I'm local atm
hmmm I do have a second router.....
maybe that would be simpler
is wooting worth it
both are only 1gbe
I just want my PC to have full speed internet and full speed transfer at the same time
What does the recycle mean
download and file transfer at 1GB at the same time
not often, but would be nice in those niche situations
mainly because I have the spare cable and adpater laying around
hmmm
I have but I can spend more money for a better gpu
literally just wait a month for new AMD and nvidia gpu
no need to because those wont be in that price range
non xl version for the north
yeah
guys what headset should I get that is wireless and good for all games?
preferably in black
What do yall use to trim videos? You know since the photos app was purposely broken by microsoft thinking im gonna use/pay for clipchamp instead
I’m on mobile currently but I’ve heard of metal tv
May be good
Nah medal is garbage
What do you think im asking for
Use a video editor?

can somebody give me a high end graphics card for under 450 dollars

So can I still run ray tracing on some games with the 7800xt
Yes but nvidia has the superior rt
it’s fine then
Also how much do you think I can make off selling a i5 12th gen 500 watt 80 plus bronze GeForce 3060 very bad small prebuilt case a prebuilt Lenovo motherboard and 16gb of ram ddr4
Used for one year
No idea, never dealt with prebuilts before
ah
I mean it depends on the game but you'll defo have to be on lower resolutions and use fsr
1080p
Are they mostly amd?
at this point of the year, yes, since the nvidia 50 series is about to be announced in Jan
Value wise AMD is simply better than Nvidia until you reach 4080S.. which I prolly would buy over the XTX
4080S is still 200€ more expensive
nvidia pretty bad value after the 4070 sti
4080s is ridiculously expensive
xtx is honestly good value when it comes to raster and even for some pro tools but 4070 ti super still seems like the more rounded package.
They're rather close in AAA games as well performance wise
The cheapest 4080s I found was £980 as of recently....
Nvm £875 but that's still a rare situation
1050euros @mindfactory atm which is just too much
Meh, am very happy with my XTX
Runs everything I want, can do ray-tracing pretty well too
Meanwhile an xtx 7900 was £680
It's a great card no question just a little too power hungry and amd hip drivers still not where they should be :(
But also vram
It's not that bad with power consumption either
Hovering at around 20~30W idle and ~100W in most of the games I play
In esports titles yeah, when rendering or even gaming higher end titles mine hit close to 400w stock
My computer is rough idle
Idle was worse around the time I had mine but glad they figured that out lol
400W?
Doesn't it limit at around 350W?
My evening game sessions are costing me like £0.30-0.80 every evening lol (2-3 hours)
Me no like that efficiency
Founders ed might most aib models go quite a bit beyond that
Kinda yeah? But AMD value wise gives usually more VRAM and better raster than Nvidia offerings
And my idle power is just stupid
That kind of goes away with 4080S
With be rtx 3080
Nitro+ hits 430+ at times lol
Tbf the only card from Nvidia I would consider is 4070 Ti Super and up
Below that their product stack is kinda shit
And 4070 Ti Super is heavily overpriced, if it fell down like a 150$ I'd prolly buy it
I don't even care anymore
Power prices in PL are one the highest because our government loves to jerk off to miners' lobby, and our coal sucks too
4070 super is a great card as well especially now that the 7900GRE is gone
GRE is still available and still superior
Hardly available in most eu stores
It's EOL
?
So will 4070S with next gen launch lol
And I can easily buy a GRE right now, there's plenty of models available
"with next gen launch" yes but the gre is literally eol with most the cheapest model being 4070s price
What's gre again
4070S is also EOL
golden rabbit edition, not kidding
It's perfectly available here
^
Good for you, not where I am
Chinese card that was brought to international market
7900XT silicon just a bit downclocked, really really good card
They fucked the VRAM bandwidth on it though, OCing the VRAM can bring a lot of perf gains on that card
matches the 3090 on 1440p, slightly slower than the 4070 ti
One's for sure, I won't go for Nvidia anytime soon
The headache I had with drivers both on Linux and Windows, both on 10 and 40 series...
It is usually faster than the 4070S or matches
With 4GBs of extra VRAM, btw
Drivers truly are horrendous and the new nvidia app just made things worse
Ah you said 4070Ti, well yeah GRE is slower than Ti, while also being 200$ cheaper
This tbh
I've always had to DDU Nvidia drivers.
Yet people complain about AMD
here's the stack on 1440p
It's mostly cause drivers back then weren't great and that's stuck in peoples minds, same thing intel will go through (most likely though they're doing great already imo)
Intel's drivers were amazing back in i915/Iris times, Arc just needs a bit more work on them
prev chart was missing a few cards
Yup! Recently got to try the a770 and besides 1-2 annoyances it was pretty much a smooth experience
Tbf I like how the previous one said 4070S was faster than GRE, which I took issue with, and this one says it's neck a neck, which it is
They perform very similarly, just the GRE is priced better usually and has more VRAM, it's the better card for longevity
In every game where vram matters longevity isn't a thing anyway
Yes it is
As these cards hit their limit when it comes to raw performance there
I'm sorry but I don't consider 30-50fps playable in recent ue5 titles
If you play in FHD you prolly don't care about VRAM, but that is a consideration in higher resolutions and also modded games
40FPS not playable is oof
depends on the baseline i guess, previous was based off the arc b580, and this, the 7900 xtx
for 1440p It's still not much of an issue and for modding It's a small amount of peoples it matters for
Unless Nvidia is doing some FineWine moments, 4070S was never ahead in perf of the GRE
Really depends on the game lol
yep wonder if tpu was doing different things in the b580 review
As shown in GN review and some others
Well yeah everything depends on games you play, for my games I play I'd far rather have a Radeon card
I also like the VRAM
TPU relative performance chart is a little flawed anyway GRE should generally be above
Good thing then! Sadly not the way for everyone which also doesn't make the other offering bad
Barely, 4070S is very competitive, I think it usually does better at FHD and GRE normalizes with QHD and up
I never said the other offerings are bad
Nvidia cards are great, but overpriced and bad value
If they knocked the price down a peg on most of them, except for 4060 that one is perfectly fine rn, they'd be great
Came over that way mb. Generally speaking I don't think nvidia's midrange is bad value besides the 4060ti (We don't speak about that card)
It's really a toss up between AMD Intel and Nvidia right now at 300 area
300 area is a mess at that price buying used is the best value
it's between 7600 XT, 6700XT, B580 and RTX 4060
or trying to snatch a 6800 non xt somewhere
And I have no clue which one I'd buy at 300 honestly
Intel does really well in some areas, 7600XT has 16GBs of VRAM, 6700XT has best raster and Nvidia's card has the best features
I'd go 4060 simply for resale value
Save up some more, sell 4060 down the line as nvidia cards generally have better resale value and get something better down the line
Idk, I like AMD's AFMF2 a lot but the raw performance of 7600XT is kinda lacklustre
Just waiting for CES to see how the market changes with next gen
Or go for the arc, 7600 xt is a meme that card is nowhere near fast enough to need 16gigs but 8 is a joke as well.
I play mostly oldies and indie games and Arc sucks there
I'm just praying RDNA4 is a value miracle like RDNA1 was, I still rock the RX 5700, it was just that good
I mean in that case the nvidia card is usually better since they perform a bit better in d11 and under from my experience
Yeah but unlike most people, I actually like frame generation and AFMF2 in my experience is really good
Especially when it applies to all games I play which would never get DLSS support
I think I can hear quintosh squirming in his seething hatred of frame generation and upscalers
Lossless scaling is an option, for older games a low response time monitor that supports BFI Is a bigger diff though I'd say
That one for me never worked well
Never tried it personally but heard decent things about it so not sure how it does in general
I did try AFMF2 on numerous games and it was frankly incredible, and I don't get how
It was more noticeably bad with "darker" games, but in brighter ones like Jurassic Park Evo 2 I could not even notice a frame gen was running
I tried really fucking hard to induce ghosting and could not, it mega impressed me
hey guys my optimum's key caps and keyboard case is coming today hopefully, and i was wondering what could i do with my regular wooting case and keycaps any ideas? i want it to be a part of my setup
wow this honey scam thing is crazy. They really built their own scam mafia over discount codes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc4yL3YTwWk
Was Honey a legitimate money saving tool? Or just an affiliate marketing scam promoted by some of YouTube's biggest influencers?
If you have any inside information about PayPal Honey or believe you can contribute to this story, please feel free to contact me confidentially at megalagtips@proton.me.

Ah yes, Noodle has already edited out their sponsor segments out of the videos
it's pretty crazy how scammy they go. I don't even necessarily blame the youtubers who took it because it seems like a harmless useful tool if you don't realize honey is scamming everyone involved
Willing to bet it also only started once PayPal bought them
Never had any use for it, because it appears predominantly US based, heh.
impressively scummy to be scamming the customers, the advertisers and stores. The trifecta of scamming literally everyone lol
Mainstream Youtubers promoting scams? Paint me surprised..
i mean, i don't blame them for this one. The proposal itself doesn't sound like a scam and it's useful and isn't a scam if honey wasn't secretly being insanely shady
i'm fairly sure at one point in time i had honey installed as well, back when it actually worked to find useful codes
Ah it steals affiliate codes. Not like I'd ever click a product link from a video in the first place 😄
And iirc lmg started promoting honey before PayPal bought it
If a company out of nowhere starts promoting their stuff on every well known yt channel, that should ring alarm bells..
yeah it steals affiliate codes, but then also hides codes from users if the store pays them, but then also threatens stores with losing money due to codes if they don't sign up for giving honey affiliate
Poor americans.
they literally created the problem and solution and scammed everyone who promoted it at the same time lol
sounds like part 2 is going to dive more into how they're basically running a protection racket on some stores
if this wasn't all so unethical and scummy i'd be impressed with how evil and manipulative this entire thing is
I love to go with the "if its too good to be true" approach.. Always gotta remember how much money they spend on promo and how they are gonna earn that money back + huge profit
this does seem right up paypals alley though. Similar to how they offer to convert currency for you in their checkout but offer you a bad rate to steal more money from you
eh i don't put every big large ad campaign as a scam. It's just when companies overreach or get too greedy that it gets bad. Like blanket advertising is just good business when done properly because an ad only needs to make back the money they spent to be a net positive
Honey did do advertising before PayPal bought them and it’s very likely only PayPal started these changes
If its a large ad campaign out of nowhere, where they spend a ton of money for a seemingly free service, u gotta ask yourself if and how they make that money back.. If they operate at a loss, they want to manifest some bs monopoly, or other shady stuff.
If I were in the youtubers shoes i'd just assume "oh it's selling tracking data", which while it may hurt privacy, is not a scam
i'm not very harsh on the youtubers falling for it because I could 100% see myself taking that sponsor deal and not realizing it was scamming myself and everyone else
especially since i've literally used honey before not sponsored lol
Yeah if PayPal doesn’t spend 4 billion or however much it was you don’t need to cover as much costs so they could have done fine on just selling data and doing the stores working with them for codes without it being a mafia style
yeah exactly. this is one of those deals where they weren't happy with making $10 million or whatever profit a year and wanted to make 100 million instead
so they went supervillain mode and distorted something that could have been a small money maker into some insane mafia add on lol
The addon started 2012 and was only bought in 2020
And they did ad campaigns before 2020
okay yeah they knew it would print money with the scams it seems
not like i ever had any clue how honey was supposed to be free and "save you money". if its free and too good to be true its likely that youre the product
Advertisement, getting part of the commission or getting paid by sellers would be the three obvious avenues of revenue.
wow people talking about megalag video here :o
And having actual, verifiable purchases to sell advertising off of is pretty solid.
No real good source, but.. what the fuck is that branding
Why skip 8000, why go with the tens instead of hundreds
Didn't AMD's drivers though leak 8000 series, wasn't it ROCm or something?
Tbf it makes sense if Halo is 8060S
It's a browser plugin. Take a guesz
I think they skipped Ryzen 4000 series as well because 4000 was reserved for APUs and laptop chips, the few of them that released, and mainline family went from 3000 to 5000, sure it's a completely different department of AMD, but I guess it makes some sense
Are they also moving to the last digit in the single digit thousands cause UDNA will do something else with the numbers?
Man why do you think amd marketing has any fucking clue or plan lol
I hope a multibillion dollar company has a good plan
They changed the naming like 6 times in 11 years
Why are they not doing the only wise naming scheme which is what Apple does
Just call it UDNA 1
We don’t know if they are
1 micro, 1 mini, 1 max, whatever
1.1, 1.2 if you love word or excel lol
I don't get the hundreds and thousands naming schemes
Copying nvdia as the incumbent makes sense
I was wondering what their business model was, lovely to see one that scams the content creator back though. Just watched it on my own.
Pretty savage, just wondering why companies like amazon don't kick them out of their affiliate program, after all Honey is pretty worthless as an affiliate, and costs a lot.
Ooeh this will be a good watch, thanks for sharing
MegaLag makes solid content
Casual reminder if you don't, you should watch CoffeeZilla for investigative journalism
Alternatively making a naming scheme that complements their cpu's also makes sense either way consistency is key.
Not really? There's little overlap there, they don't launch around the same time either
I just wish that more companies would just start counting from 1
Copying Nvidia in this case doesn't make sense at all
They had a good naming system in place, maybe they should just shift some of their cards from X600 to X500 to match Nvidia
But wtf is 9070?
Is it cause they want a 9170 later on?
Nah just go with Radeon 1 or something like that
I like Apple's marketing cause I can actually look up their latest number and be like "well that's the current model"
M5 iirc, A18
Next gen after RDNA4 is UDNA
Perfect timing to reset scheme back to 1900/1800/1700, or U19/U18/U17
But no, because AMD's marketing is high most of the time
Meanwhile the GPUs are in thousands already
UDNA U1 would be nice ngl
Though it doesn't sound gamer enough lol, no X, no R, no "TX"
If they really want to do hundreds just do U1 - 100 (200/300/400), and then just flip the U to U2 for next gen
Actually good naming scheme, carry on for the next 99 numbers
U19 XTX, U19 XT, U19 X, U18 XT, U18 X, U17 X, U16 X
I mean, if they want they can do that, U11, U12, U13 for first gen, then U21, 22, etc, then U31, etc
Then roll it forwards to U101 akin to RX 200 series (Though that was R9, R7, etc)
They have options that make more sense than RX 9070 lol
At that point gaming display names start making about as much sense as that name
brb, off to get high on some high quality shrooms
or something like that
i have like 20gramm at hands
GRE is China cards so, meh
still the GRE card are still great
4000 was also non apu chips but they all used last gen silicon I could see them doing that again with 8000 gpu naming
Very few though
same with the 4500 for example
Meh, two weird launches still don't make that 4000 series anything interesting
