I dont, unless there is something in the interface i dont understand. I have tachyon enabled, but that shouldnt impact it?
wait i'm confused what behaviour are you trying to get?
mind exporting ur profile?
I expected the input to stop registering at 0.4mm
ill try on mine
oh you want it to be a set actuation point like a mx switch
1ba1f4b7f0bb4173a816e9fa13bf82b9d02e
gotta be honest i've never tried to set it up like this lol
Yeah, or right now im toying around with all the settings to fuly understand them but this doesnt correlate to the videos ive watched
probably most people here have never tried it since rapid trigger is why we bought the keyboard
ya that profile is fked
idk why
my profiles seem to be fine, not sure why yours doesnt
Tried creating new profiles, tried resetting all settings. This doesnt fix the issue. I can change the actuation point to other values and the issue remains... maybe I have a faulty keyboard?
with 1mm actuation. Idk, either I am missing something or the keyboard is busted?
If I had the money to spare.... https://www.hotukdeals.com/share-deal-from-app/4474585
Ai TV
AI dildo when?
Tbf LG has been doing the AI branding since at least 2020 which is pre-GPT
Something with smart upscaling and data processing for 4K viewing
So like, who wants to buy me it?
Cheapest I see that TV here is 1,219.00 €
Decent discount, not as much as I'd hope
You also don't really need a 65" I don't think, 4K imo is perfect for 55" displays
It used to be the other way around
I used to buy pre-Brexit from amazon.co.uk all the time cause tech was cheaper lol
What the fuck is this shit
Hot deals innit
Temp is upvotes
Cal, that's a joke on how everything is fuckin AI when it's not
Ur ai
I am AI
Dalle, generate Pleasant_exe nudes please, 4K, realistic style
I am still on LG CX and I see virtually no need to upgrade, it's been I think 4 years now? Absolutely incredible display still
Seems the general consensus is that the yearly LG releases bring virtually no important additions, the next big one is likely in 2025 or 2026 with PHOLED
Which is supposedly what I've been waiting for, proper OLED that doesn't kill itself
Ye the CX is pretty popular
Hm, sad, the IEEE article I read about PHOLED apparently is bogus
Samsung themselves directly say that blue PHOLED (which is the one peeps seem to be focused on) are actually worse in durability than current OLED
55% worse, which is kinda nuts
New OLED gen soon in RGB?
Back to microled waiting room I guess
iirc in q4 or q1 2025
This might be finally the time for me to buy my 1st OLED
Tech has matured and brightened
I've had an OLED TV for a good few years now and I see it for movies, not for games
y?
For games I couldn't care less if I'm playing on a LED screen or an OLED, shit's the same
Ah shame no difference in depth perception?
The only difference is just that the couch is comfier than the chair so it's actually physically nicer to play on a TV
Haha yeah def
But gaming on the big screeeen
I've played Switch games and Xbox games on my IPS and the OLED TV, I honestly couldn't tell you the difference
Ive degen'd to Netflix enjoyer lately
The game is the same
For Netflix 100% OLED
I'm not into movies or shows but I've watched a few that my wife forced me to, like Wednesday
With HDR, shit's beautiful, far more than gaming
how do u get shows in HDR in NF
Ain't they HDR as they come?
Been itching to watch Godzilla minus one, wonder how that’ll look on oled
Maybe? need to check
It's been a while I had a Netflix subscription, but when I streamed shows they automatically resorted to HDR
the black and white version? Hehe
prob an oled thing bc i ahve fairly new LED Tv that dont go HDR
I like big monster smashy smash city buildings
Dunno it's always done that on my LG CX, it's a beautiful display for movies that are HDR enabled
I ned to watch the new godzilla + kingkong movie on Prime
no netflix is just shit so it depends if you use the app or web version or tv app or streaming it, and that all changes what hdr and sound settings you can get
However for anime and TV shows, shit that's not HDR and not 4K out of the box, not encoded in HEVC and you know, the typical high end stuff, it's the same whether you are watching on a 4K 55" OLED or a 27" IPS LED display
Switch games honestly prolly look worse on the TV than my LED display cause the stretching at 55" 4K is kinda insane
But it's fine, playable, comfy
coworker would rage about that like once a week, he has a sick home cinema setup with beamer, surround setup etc. and streaming services half the time wouldnt work because it limits what dolby version he could get depending on how it detects the setup
Dolby shit sounds like nightmare just like old creative stuff to get to work
like you think hdr on windows is a mess, netflix codecs are 10x worse somehow
It's a night and day difference between anime that's like, typical streaming shit at 1080p max, and a 4K BluRay Atmos show
Tbf I also watch anime near daily on that TV and it's fine lol, it's still a great TV
But for that once in a year show I might watch, it's insane if it's BluRay quality
from where? Crunchyroll?
Sure, Crunchyroll.
Ye would love to watch some shows on 4k bluray
Cloverfield
Hello, anyone has any good monitor recommendation? Budget is around 400-500
Ideally a 1440p 27’’ monitor
check rtings.com or monitors unboxed on youtube
Since I’m running it with 4080 super and 7800x3d
Alr ty
stretch it to 550 and get this: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mMsV3C/asus-rog-strix-xg27aqdmg-265-2560-x-1440-240-hz-monitor-xg27aqdmg
Also is aoc ag276qzd2 a good monitor brand?
27in 2k 240hz oled
That costs 750 🥲
Wait am I just looking at the wrong one
Address visible lel
Cool address name though
Cough cough Yall saw nothing
use the pcpartpicker link
Ty but shhhh
it has links to all major retailers
?
its probably fine but from what i remember hdr 400 is a kinda meaningless certification
Oh
So like you’re saying its quality might not be as good as stated?
no its fine, oled is always good hdr
Also where did you see hdr400? I’m a bit blind lol
So as compared to this is there any major differences that makes it worth 150 more that I should get?
Besides brand like, I’m just deciding which one to get
@rough patrol
Sorry for ping but would you mind answering
d
I saw someone say that the fake retro Silverstone case can only support monitors up to 20 kg? Idk what their source is but that is disappointing if true.
Since this kind of predates me I have to ask, did people have 30 - 40 kg large CRT monitors on top of their computer or was that only something people did with smaller lighter monitors?
Good
Intel please give us that RTX 4070S competing model
Also don't get bankrupt
another timeline of waiting for the gpu drivers to not be shit has begun
Intel has majorly improved their drivers as far as I read
They however I think have it the worst
AMD only has to improve their existing nodes and worry about high end or just settle for mid end and then also start to compete with Nvidia in application as well as feature support
Intel has to do all of that, are like a full generation behind, early drivers, tons of unsupported apps
And on top of that, money troubles
idk if high end on AMD side gonna be competetive anytime soon
AMD are already competitive on the high end
RTX 4080S is high end, XTX matches that
AMD doesn't, imo, need to compete on TOP end
shame they decided to drop out going forward
As long as they match the 80 card it's fine, I don't particularly care for 90 series (which is again, Titan class), and plenty of people don't either
Well, they are phasing out RDNA, I imagine prolly why they are pulling another RDNA1 maneuver until UDNA1?
imo im still wanna see how AMD is gonna compete with 8000 series
I am really interested in an XT/XTX power card for 500ish
As long as they give me proper fixes to FSR2, bring FSR3 up to par with DLSS-FG, that'll be great, all I really care for
Though I kinda do see how it's slowly turning into features over just raw power nowadays
imo amd's FG is good
I can already get a 7900XT for 600ish, if AMD just prices a new card around that with no real improvements in raster (idgaf in RTX) it's like.. alright?
Nothing really changes while NV prolly just moves ahead in perf
If they bring XT power for 500 or even faster, with some improved and new features, better software support, that's actually cool
Though yeah it's scary if NV starts to pull ahead heavily in performance, I remember the RX 580 days when that was the best you could get from team red and NV had the 1080Ti
Snipe NV's talent
It doesn't help that idiots are giving NV the capital to do dumb shit, like the stock skyrocketing
yeah AI
and 200% overpriced
they've only had about two decades worth of time so far
till the AI shit is on fire thats not gonna happen
Lol again NV's price has been inflated for like 10 fucking years
10 years ago if you asked "Why is NV valued so much", it's literally - automotive self driving
Which never fuckin happened, they are stuck on that to this day
Yet their price never went down, it went UP
imo 1000 series was priced okay ish
its machine learning of any sort
Nvidia is the definition of a bubble company
since 2000 series they went crazy
Well the 70 series model was actually affordable back then
And the top end 80Ti was priced okay
1060 6GB was like 199?
1060 ti was never was a thing
its not even so much them that's driving the hype train, they mostly provide the technology for the techbro entrepeneur upstarts to build their buzzword empires with
1070 ti was a thing
Yeah, sorry, I remember 2 versions of the 1060
The shitty one and the actually good one
yeah the 3gb and 6gb
6GB version iirc was around 200, which was great
1070 was I think 400$?
I knew a lot of people with 1070s
And for how good the 1080Ti was, it was a good investment imo
NV will never have a generation like that ever again I think
why did they go higher in 2018
having a new gen of cards taking a similarly huge leap in tech/performance as 1080ti did is not that unlikely imo, but you can rest assured they won't make the same mistakes deciding the msrp for it
5090 for 2000$ msrp
Lol, prolly more
2400$ I bet
5080 is like 1200
yeah the prices are doomed since people bought the acalped 30 series
4090 is close to sniffing on €2400 already in some parts of eu
the 30 msrp Was okay
And they are buying the fucking 4090
nv fanboys in a nutshell
well yes the 4090 price followes from that
$1900 at most is my bet.
"Hey, we got you a 1500$ card"
"Cool, how much better is it than its predecessor"
"And how much is the predecessor costing?"
"33% less"
Sold, thank you!
And even fucking worse
"We have shortages rn, 4090 is 1800$"
"No problem, we'll buy it anyways"
You brought this upon yourselves, sheeples
the thing is i can already see that the AI scalpers just gonna buy 5090's
tbh devs are to blame too, nobody would need a 4090 if games ran decent
there's always going to be way too many people with more disposable income than economic responsibility
Well to be fair there are also 480 Hz screens that also give people reason to want as many frames as possible.
the ones that'll just pay up whatever is asked for top of the line
People can barely tell the difference between 144 and 240, why tf would they need 480
bc higher is better
Higher is dumber
It's always been who can upsell you the most ridiculous shit for the most amount of profit, Nvidia does that, display companies are doing that
At least they are also heavily competing in price/value
The visual difference between 144 Hz and 480 Hz is not small.
What's the visual difference between 240 and 480?
144 looks pretty choppy
You have to understand that the higher you are the higher you need to jump for a noticeable gain.
Less than 144 to 480 of course.
sure but only feeew games go that high
imo i dont need a 480hz monitor for 4a games
There's virtually no chance humans can perceive the difference in actual life scenarios between 240 and 480
untrue, you can tell between 240 and 360 too
Not happening, you are gaslighting yourself into buying something you virtually don't need
maybe you don't, stick with 240 then
I'm good with 170
144 fps is a persistence of 6,94 ms. 480 fps is 2,08 ms. That's for sure a noticeable difference in blur.
i hate blur in everygame
i think there is not a single game where blur is looks good
the zowie I have makes you able to see aliasing in fast motion in comp shooters, which after more than a year of owning it still looks unreal to me
for my uses I see no point in going for anything past 240hz, its already a lot faster than what I play my games in
higher hz displays enable you to increase clarity on your 240hz too with strobing
Oh right I've actually been using a 144, my 170 is on the borked PC
I can do the UFO test and perceive the visual difference, but that's not a factor in-game that ever occurs to me to be a problem
been using a 144 for a couple years now, its having some issues on cold boots though
144 is already good enough, 240 is all you need if you can afford it
i am chaotic evil, i turn on motion blur on every tv when i go visit friends and family
so I'm lowkey looking around for a replacement in a semi-near future
I noticed the blur in every game I played on my 120 Hz LG C2 and it bothered me so much that I got rid of the display.
broad statement, it's one of those things you can't get back to if you've gotten used to it
i went from 165hz to 180hz and its more then enough
Only thing I can't go back to is a shitty 5$ keyboard and mouse
I can use an office tier 60Hz display no problem
some games benefit from a subtle amount of blur imo, usually more scenic singleplayer experiences
where ritalin hyper response time and accuracy isn't paramount
(Keep in mind I'm talking about persistence blur, the truly awful kind. Not some setting.)
Gamers are the most gullible people I swear, we need OLED, we need Hz
They actually don't need jack shit and are compensating for sucking in games
blur/smearing inherent to the hardware is pretty awful for sure
problem is every other gamer thinks they're the next esports talent these days
i would say new display stuff is great, higher HZ is stupid
Why is higher Hz stupid?
Meh display tech is cool but IPS is still good enough
they can just upcharge u for nothing
I don't actually care much about very high refresh rates in themselves I just want low persistence at any refresh rate.
It's not for nothing if it's for a higher refresh rate.
"everything higher than I use is snake oil and placebo" harkens back to the days of console players claiming the human eye can't see more than 60hz, that used to be common
Diminishing returns start at whatever I own. :^)
its just me but no one needs 500+hz displays
as with most things its all relative
improving the refresh rate makes a big difference, until the point where its diminishing returns
Guess you have to define what you mean by "need" here. Need for what? If they need the least amount of motion blur then they do.
I don't believe gamers can even see or feel any blur in-game above 170
I'll probably stop noticing a difference above 480 but I can't make that statement without having tested it for myself
i turn off motion blur and i never see it
Go play a game without intently staring at any texture just hoping to notice a blur and actually play the game, you can't notice any blur above 170Hz
why do ppl need ultra high hz
Cause they don't, simple as that
People stare at the UFO test, yell "I CAN SEE BLUR!" and get a better panel
It's there. It's why these names are so hard to read from all the motion blur: https://www.testufo.com/framerates-versus
In-game you will not perceive a difference, that's just not happening
You absolutely can. It completely depends on the speed of moment in relation to refresh rate.
again this scenario never gonna happen
have you tested for yourself?
It's literally from a video game.
Yes? Anything above 170 is you gaslighting yourself you need anything higher
most games I play I try to balance the settings for good enough visual quality while sitting at around 70-100fps minimum
you should check your eyes then
Since 240 is just so affordable, that should be the end of the road for any peeps that buy panels until new technologies properly emerge
Stop gaslighting yourself?
The claim that 240 to 480 is an actual worthwhile upgrade that you need is ridiculous
not need but its very noticeable
Not happening in a real world scenario
I think you're kinda gaslighting yourself, if you think you need anything above 90
i dont have money to buy idiot tier HZ monitor
i tried switching from 540hz to 240hz but got annoyed by the laggy feeling like every time i played comp shooters
- im not playing competetive games at all
for competitive, I don't know, maybe it has some minor benefit?
I noticed plenty of blur with every game I played on my 120 Hz oled.
Synthetic tests do not ever take into account people actually playing a game, focusing on the gameplay, tactics, etc. In a game, in a real world scenario, I do not believe people ever would notice blur in 240Hz.
for non-competitive though, anything above like 80 is a nice experience
don't need more than 24 🚬
I def don't agree there's plenty. But it is there yes.
24 is kinda pushing it too, imo
im happy with 10fps
like there is room for noticeable improvement
back in the software rendering days you'd play at 10fps and like it
be grateful the game even runs
I only play single player games and notice it all the time. It was an obsessive botherance seeing eye strain inducing blur in anything moving at an even remotely "high" speed.
Yes but 480 fps is pretty damn good.
but arguing about refresh rates with people that never tried them is also kinda pointless lol
like arguing about food
Kebab is the only right answer
lets just get to 1000hz with fast enough pixel response
then the same discussion will happen again at that point
I want impulsed displays more. Since I want good clarity at any refresh rate.
seems like a good checkpoint tho
yes i wish they would implement that more on the oleds too
An oled or whatever monitor that has very low persistence and updates frames like a CRT would be amazing. I wouldn't care about it being more than 120 Hz if it had this.
like i can life with half the brightness
prolly. I have yet to get to 480, but digitalfoundry has brought up one 480hz oled that their CRT guy is gushing over, so good things are a-coming
It halves the brightness when it halves persistence. I want persistence much lower than that.
Noticing blur because monitor does not have fast enough refresh rate? That’s not how video games works
It's embarrassing from a technological standpoint that my 2004 brick monitor has a much clearer image than my LG C2.
we gotta reach a point where most people say that they cant tell a difference
Persistence blur.
Here's you are "perfect oled motion clarity" bro
persistence blur is so bad
turning up the brightness to 150% or whatever it's horrible

this one has me intrigued, no way I can justify that purchase to myself tho, gotta wait a few years
I feel like we are on the cusp of greatness and since I'm somewhat poor I'll wait. Maybe several years even.
high end monitor swapping kinda works
just sell whenever new one releases
and you dont lose that much money

People are quite paranoid about buying oled monitors from my experience.
So I feel like they retain value less.
CRTs have this reputation for massive burn-in but you gotta run them for a decade with the same surveillance footage to get any noticeable burn-in so the problem with oled is probably overplayed
like the "cheapest" 360hz oled display in Hungary is 600+ euro almost 700 euro
definitely is
I remember getting a 240 Hz TN display in 2015 or 2016 and it was quite expensive.
700 bucks for my 360hz in 2023, and it mostly functions as a garfield display now lel
I should probably think about selling it
I was thinking of upgrading from my 60hz tn to maybe 240 next year 👴 mostly because the monitor will occasionally make a high pitch whining noise until I unplug it
Maybe it's actually a CRT?
Damm
think mines having some capacitor and/or cold joints issue as well but can't hear any whine or other noises
it will do this for the first 10-15 mins on after its been left off for a while though which is a bit concerning
minor inconvenience
Turn it on and off again?
ElementaryOS 8 does not have fractional scaling because the dev said he doesn't believe in it
DAFUQ?
how does one not believe in Fractional Scaling?
It does let you change font size instead...... .-.
yeah it clears it for a couple secs then it starts striping out again, I basically power cycle it a couple times when it happens and eventually it goes away completely once its warmed up enough I guess
in normal everyday scenario where I use it for hours daily I never really see it at all but if am away from home/pc for more than a day or so it will happen
bruh lol the Super key opens the App Menu now in ElementaryOS 8....until now, it opened the Shortcut Overlay that shows you the keyboard shortcuts
How do i update home assist docker without wiping my data?
@umbral heron was it you who used it
Have you tried asking it nicely?
It's a container, so wouldn't you have a separate volume for data you don't want to lose when you inevitably nuke the container to replace it with a newer version
ah i just need to pull the newest version
ye
creating a backup in case anyway
Done 🙂

Remember the og over lockable ipses from Korea
The real beginning of mass market high refresh rate screens
When was that?
man speaking of overclocking my monitor WILL NOT OVERCLOCK
the best I got out of it was 61Hz, nothing higher worked
Like 2012
Most monitors can't overclock due to programming
Back in the day company's were getting lg seconds and slapping unprogramed controlboards so they would try to display what ever you sent over dvi/dp
So there were tons of these 27 inch 1440p IPS screens
And you could get 100+ if you got lucky
watched that earlier, looks pretty good
NGL the Moss Wall is so so pretty
YEAH!!!!
jealous
whats the purpose of a screen light bar?
maybe i should put a tree in my rooms too
light up the desk ig
although the room is probably bright enough when working
so idk
I was 12 so wasn't paying attention to those things sadly.
Smh
yay
What the frack is that?
Yes.
And it shows network devices.
Why are there numbers on the lines? Why in one line red?
What is @pale sigil trying to llshow here
Trying to show that he can out-Lanapost even Lana
I barely talked in here today xd
So linus basically made a skin for Truenas Scale
ic
That compared to glorious models, is it good?
oh
damn
Also what are prob some of the most known brands for mouse?
probably don't get fm
well u can't for a few months rn anyway
logitech if you care about battery life
the main ones that comes to mind imo are razer and logitech
I've been pretty satisfied with my GPX2
I like the gpw too, been using it for few years now
WTF, linus is going to charge 299 for his skin on top of TrueNas Scale when it fully releases
I liked my superlight but the switches are a bit heavy
satisfied with my ulx pro, blue shell pink dot is really nice
its not up there with the top esports tryhard picks anymore but its a well rounded mouse feature-wise
forgot if we talked about this update
nah plenty of pros are still using it
well the shape
a lot of teams that aren't sponsored by logi have teams that use 3-4 of them in CS and Val
think we did, they basically swapped a usb-c port in there and called it a day?
though artisan mousepads are getting censored for some reason
new switches too
since the old GPW would double click
most of the the g pro copypastas I've seen have been based on the ultralight though
ULX?
yeah my first one started doing that after 2 or so years, on one of the side buttons tho so at least not bricked for most uses
sorry, superlight*
:/ new Steam Controller design leaks are very dissapointing
those sticks look horrendous to reach with your thumbs
Valve are usually good at ergonomics though, Steam Deck is hella comfy to hold and use
and I heard the OG Steam Controller is comfy too
it's a leak
Also are logitech mouses good?
the vr controllers look disappointing too
should i get the huntsman v2 tkl or ducky one 2 sf?
Their customization with ghub is sick tho ngl
Idk if other brands also offer similar customization for other ones
zigbee network
ooh now it makes more sense
logitechs top of the line gaming mice are a bit underwhelming in the current market, at least for the money they ask
I thought you could just change your settings on razer and uninstall after
that's what people who had them told me
synapse was fucked last time I used it years ago though
xpanel on the web is nice though
I have a different browser just to use it and wootility
Damn
should i get the huntsman v2 tkl or ducky one 2 sf?
I might a wlmouse
but yeah there's no excuses to why the big dogs softwares are so horrendous
I don't think so
Ain't nobody using that anyway
I know that automatic switching between polling rates based on what you're doing needs it installed though
the one 3 is basically twice as expensive in my country
somehow most companies with way less financial or development resources manages to put out much more usable and lightweight software
WOOTING
hi wooting chat should i get not wooting or not wooting
way ahead of you
I love the Crad Shuffler

o hek, thats not bad!!
Just got my new pc :o
7800x3d, 4080 super, 64gb 6000mhz ram
4tb ssd drive
I think that’s all I need right
give me your old one
no me
Can’t 😭
why nvidia GPU if you picked AMD CPU?
🥹
Bc I want the ray tracing
because the cpu doesnt matter?
the brand loyalty is crazy
There’s no special benefit or anything
Ich habe keine treue
:)
Who cares about loyalty when you can make a better setup frfr
Performance > choosing prefer processor brand
yeah I just buy what I think will give me best bang for buck
I thought AMD had some system that optimises the CPU and GPU to work better together if they are both AMD?
had intel rigs for most of my life, this time around amd was clearly a superior pick
Anything works well, if you got the right parts within your budget
They all perform the same
using an nvidya card too because it was pretty good value on sale
Nvidia has a good encoder for recording/streaming
;
encoders are good enough on all current gpus so that doesnt really matter
while AMD is just mainly for getting that sweet sweet performance juice
NVENC?
Does AMD have their own version of that or nah?
Amf
Not all. I've used AMD's and Nvidia's. Somewhat of a difference with the same settings
apparently amd has finally learned how to write drivers for their gpus these days so who knows what I'll go for next
yes I didnt say they are identical, but for streaming or recording gameplay its about the same
Usally AMD GPUs come with more VRAM that the equivalent Nvidia option too
ahh ok!
jensen gang has some nice features though ngl
I would get an Elgato HD60S
I can connect it to my laptop with a 3050 on it that'll do the job
Just recording wise, probably I'd use amd
8TB storage is lovely
feature wise for normal gaming usage they are basically the same these days just raw RT performance nvidia does better because games have mostly implemented nvidias RTX instead of generalized DXR RT
just get the one with better price-performance ratio, everything else is pretty much irrelevant with current gen
with AFMF amd even has software stuff now that nvidia still doesnt have so it's really just a wash in most general
yeah pretty much
radeon having all that vram is kinda tempting
🤤
nvidia always be blueballing their customers on vram smh
on skib
i love my 24gb vram
Aika mukava!

is this person telling the truth or spreading misinformation
just a few days ago they were saying 8kHz mice aren't real because windows and usb doesn't do over 1k
I fuckin thought so
if your texture is 10gb it needs 10gb
you dont individually address the memory chips and double vram usage to put it in there twice??
nvidia vram has 5D origami processing that folds the textures into smaller ones

yo anyone know if i can use these keycaps for my Razor Huntsman V3 Pro mini (yea ik I don got Wooting, will get it in the future)
if mx stem then yes
I have somehow killed my home assist
@iron wave have you had any luck making this green?
Nope.
Great, i need port 80 for two apps on the same machine.
tell them sharing is caring
Generally strong integrity is not met by custom roms / root but also not really needed as long as you meet basic and probably device, you are mostly good.
Stock firmware
Well, i made progress... i have my zigbee network and Alexa can interact with it via emulating a hue hub....
The only problem is it uses port 80 and i have to expose HA
EDIT: It seems i can run it local now even with Alexa
Also there is a way to do, I just do not fully understand the instructions right now.
Ah, any reason you need it?
Moto secure complaining it is not fully certified and I am gonna guess if I succeed the work app will let me in
For Strong Integrity
- Install shamiko - Install Tricky_store and put a valid keybox inside /data/adb/Tricky_store - Install Pif - enjoy
Ah, fair enough
Every other app is sorted out, funnily the oppo health app hates root
@halcyon moss Do you at least approve of that?
That's just SAM and it's the same as REBAR on intel/nvidia
Also fuck ring, imagine not letting me add MY DEVICE to homeassist to stream.
Without sub
Glad i avoided them for when i move, we got it to watch the dog when i was in the hospital
RING uses their own protocol right?
yeah its some proprietary crap

Rental computers...
Rental PCs are actually very popular in enterprise
Bigger companies
I worked in B2B, many big companies just outright tell you "Buy? Why'd we buy? Do you rent?"
thank god they finally did a vid on it
fuck nzxt
leasing makes sense for businesses with taxes and number shuffeling etc.
Thank god I didn't buy nzxt things for my pc 🙏
They have a cool looking motherboard. Sad.
Sad
Yeo because th en you don't have to deal with retiring the systems after
No need to sell them at auction or trash them
You let someone else deal with it

Not like their hardware is bad
Besides the H1 mitx case
They just have a scummy rental system
wonder if their cam software is doing anything extra
what company hasn't done anything shady
true
I have no idea, so I'll throw a random company name out there and see if anybody has anything bad to say about them:
Asrock
or buying over x amount of months
Yeah
all of it is all based on someone missing a payment
or people putting it on their credit cards
and then they get into debt
‘Buy now pay later’ is a whole predatory business model that’s not good
i mean ffs i bought a 15$ thing on amazon and they offered to pay over 3 months lmao
i was like the fuck?
???
you can finance a pizza now
denying warranty coverage for bad reasons
refusing to fix thermal issues on some of their gpu lines
repasting = void warranty
NZXT isn’t doing anything new it’s just you will own nothing and like it sorta thing imo
yep
sucks but every company already does this
its just instead of doing it through a retailer
nzxt is their own retailer
They just don’t have a scape goat that’s all
@ashen spindle does it make much sense for me to get a 20a plug over 16a
for what
A smart plug
buttplug
That too
idk I dont use IOT things
dude's gonna use buttplug.io to play videogames
overwatch 2 controller with the butt
oh thats why hes palying ffxiv again he wants the mods that control the toys

I need help picking a good motherboard for my Ryzen 9 build I’m on a budget
pick what chipset you want based on what features you need
go to pcpartpicker and sort by price and chipset
ur welcome
any of the chipsets will work with a ryzen 9 no problem
you may just need a bios update
easy
nu only cpu
buy what makes sense for you lol
Approve what?
if you arent too fussed about raytracing, and dont care for professional gpu workloads, probs would be a better pick to get the amd equivalent
also framegen is somewhat nice for certain games, esp singleplayer stuff
It’s just a rig for my younger brother
Games mostly
I feel dirty getting amd gpu
What about the 7900gre for 2k gaming
okay okay thank you friend I’ll keep an eye on it
Might go for this price seems reasonable
Just got my wooting 60he+ last week. My left ctrl doesn't work whatsoever. I tried resetting and even cleaning, no change. Is this a known issue or am i just the victim of a bad batch?

Skimming through the video now - Lots of really shitty and probably criminal stuff. But it's all economical and not about the parts, so I don't really care. 😄
No longer using random smart devices connected to WiFi, it's all local now.
I love the case but they really dropped the ball on the PSU holder thing
i honestly dont mind it
cleaner with an sfx psu
with atx i agree it looks kinda shit
cable visibility wise?
That little half an inch of space that it takes up
oh the bottom overhang?
ok but have you seen what they actually do? the nzxt rental thing isnt a tiny bit scummy its legit scam
It is basically that scam
Oh yes. I Def approve of that

Yup, I'm not using my own zigbee network!
Are you using someone else's?
Fuck me the 9800x3d sold out again

Hi, I just got my 80HE and sometimes while playing a key keep spamming, or the keyboard stop to work , i plug it out , and plug it in and it work but does anyone know why it do that ?
It was right there in my cart ;3;
Wdym
can someone help me all my saved profile are gone
read your message
Why does my wooing 60he have a slight current sound when the brightness is pulled to 100%, do you have this situation?
Pls don't spam many channels
hah
oops i meant im using my own lol
Also i saw this on my psu can it handle a 3060 ryzen 9950x 16gb ram and Asus prime b650
probably barely
i mean that cpu/gpu combo is in the 3-400W range
if you hit a spike itmight get iffy
it'd work but I'd feel more comfortable with like 650W
Check the community support thread for the 8k test firmware
I’ll do 750
I overclock my cpu
Nvm
Expensive
@analog sinew can you give me a link to one that will do the work that’s also cheap
and quiet
Choose A Power Supply
I found be quiet pure power
An overpriced rental with a strict contract and some false advertising
its constant false advertising, misleading info and bait and switch tactics, its about as shameless as it gets
their marketing approach is also heavily skewed towards the young and impressionable with consulting a bunch of equally shameless influencers
Prices and components literally all changed within a week
"strict contract"... yeah strict enough to increase the price without notice
the contract is also legally dodgy at best
It's bad but i have little sympathy if an idiot signs up to this
All the warning signs are there
if it was just overpriced sure
NZXT targets kids like how gacha games target kids for surprises mechanic money
A minor shouldn't be able to enter a contract like that
But if the parents sign up for this uh
No sympathy they're idiots
But hey just look at people's car payments and you'll realize most of the world is stupid
there is a difference between overpriced and usury
consumer protection exists because if your business is to scam people it shouldn exist, doesnt matter if only idiots fall for it
In the USA it's a business plan
even they have at least a semblence of consumer protection agencies
anyone know if the tkl or 65% is compatible with the 60he?
its in kits
oof, meant if either of those are compatible with the wooting 60he
Would personally not completely boycott NZXT over it but their pc building business sure is completely slimey
u gonna use that much anyway
that many keys? i just to fill my keyboard
im looking for this set and if someone can guide me to one thats 100% compatible to tho 60he id suck their dick (no homo)
I don't see much reason to buy nzxt anyways when so many options exist
every product they make there's a dozen alternatives from competitors
can somebody help me budget my pc build
what budget and where are u from ?
US and budget is 500 dollars
get a 4090
I can show the products I’m currently buying
i just realized im in the wrong channel
I mean u could prob get a dell optimus for 20 usd to run it with but why xD
go to the used market like jawa.gg
Fractal Design North Thermalright Peerless Assassin ASUS Prime B650-PLUS CORSAIR 750W and Ryzen 9 9950x upgrading build so nothing else
Also I don’t care about cpu price
everything else yes
From what i understand the only consumer protection stuff that was broken was in regards to advertising, the rest despite being shady it technically legal. And welp the warnings signs were everywhere for the people getting into this.
Sure, also heres a few of my tips:
-
You can and should buy used cpus and ram on this budget ( just avoid 12 and 13 series intel cpus ) those components might as well be immortal and you can see if they got permamently damaged easily
-
Same with the pc case, when you are on budget they can be a little expensive but a lot of people will be upgrading their cases due to thermal performance issues, what you want to look for is cases with fan slots, one back slot and 2 front slots is all you need to get this case a good airflow with some 5 usd fans
-
Used cpu cooling is a good idea, usually when people re-sell it all it needs is a new fan, you can order a compatibile one online but it depends on the market in some countries its better to just buy a new fera 5
I buy stuff from Amazon
if by advertising you mean the site showing false numbers when switching to the rental so you think its the same hardware, or that it shows the same fps as only better hardware does I guess
with that i would buy a 4080
no question asked
It’s 603 dollars all together ignoring cpu price
the cpu price is confusing me
and it doesnt matter really if there are warnings signs or not, if its anti consumer it should be shit upon
are you going to run some simulations on this pc or cpu heavy tasks ?
Yes
Heavy tasks
what exactly are you going to run ?
beacause it might be smarter to downgrade your cpu a bit for a sake of better gpu or more nvme storage
geometry dash editing Minecraft then high demanding fps games
yeah 4080 or 4090 at that point
and instead of 9950x 9800x3d
Minecraft is single core performance heavy not multi core performance heavy
and geometry dash editor is prob gonna be hardware limited
I do not think you need a ryzen 9 9950 I think an R 7 would do fine and require a bit less cooling
I mean I need 20k fps sometimes with fps unlockers
why do you need 20k fps ?
you wouldn’t understand
unless you play gd or run macros
Im confused also I run linux lol
altho i been using windows off my second drive a bit more recently
yeah, by the way i hope i do not sound like this but im not judging you
i simply want to point out you probably do not need a ryzen 9
it says it’s 300 dollars
yeah no xD
thats.... prob not legit
dont cheap out on a GPU
where
It's like the worst time to buy a new gpu
or post heavy wear
Yeah
nothing new from amd and nvidia for what, 2 years ?
that's 380 and not a 9950X
hence the confusion...
hold on that might include an import fee we are from europe
at least im assuming you are since i also see 380
he is from the US tho
or just click on the amazon link
wrong link
the point they were making is perhaps the 380 price we see includes EU taxes/import stuff
but it does not, it's in fact 380 in the US too
i know its 380$ in the us
#🔌│tech message ???
Checked the price after changing the delivery to us and no thats 400 usd still
Sale or not, this cpu runs you extra costs
can u tell us your whole budget
and the games/work are u wanna do
If you really care about the cpu, make a build without a gpu and order it then save up for a new gpu
and dont use it untill the gpu arrives
you will come out far better than trying to fit any other gpu at cost of your psu, case, motherboard and ram
800 dollars I guess I’ll switch cpu but I need to run gd at 20k fps play Minecraft edit deal play high demanding fps games
don’t ask about the 20k fps
and can you tell us what exactly are you buying, you said "nothing else" before so which parts are you buying with that 800$
Fractal Design North Thermalright Peerless Assassin ASUS Prime B650-PLUS CORSAIR 750W and an affordable cpu that can run this stuff upgrading build so nothing else like gpu storage etc
20k fps xD
Using fps unlockers
you can maybe render a NES game at that
and what good does it to to oversample your monitor 5-10 times over?
so you have 500 bucks for the CPU, you buy a 9800x3d if you can find it for the price
psychics in the game change for macros
I’m using it for al out of other stuff
why not just mod the game so the phisics are different ?
if not, skimp on the mobo a little, get a b650 HDV or something
imo its a cheaper solution
Hard to do the same and it may have thousands of clicks at some points you need more frames it click at some places
hdv/m.2 is great, I got one
You could prob use cheat engine for that
I do it’s called CBF click between frames but it can break the macros
I don't think they were asking for advice on how to work around GD limitations
okay soo a looked up your claims of 20k fps in GD no one mentions it at all
depending if GD like vcache or not you buy the 9800x3d or the highest number non-3d you can find I guess
im just trying to make them realise they dont need to drop 70% of their budget on an overkill cpu
I need a cpu that can run heavy tasks why do you care so much on what I use it for
there's nothing else worthwhile right now
their budget is barely 1k
the only ones that are are 5800x3d and 7800x3d and both are priced shit enought that you should just buy a 9800x3d
UNLESS you can find something secondhand/a good deal (?)
im talking about the cpu
like buying anything but the *800x3d is just trolling if you're getting a CPU for games
that's like 5 years old garbage
7600x is great on a budget
kinda agree
If you want the best performance for minecraft and most of older games what you want is best single core performance
so an older ryzen 9 will run far worse even than last gen ryzen 5
what about for gd
HEY I'M ON THAT RN YOU TAKE THAT BACK MY POOR CPU
Eh, going from am4 to am5 will require to buy new mobo, new ram, new cpu and maybe new cooler if the user was on ryzen 3600 and used oem cooler
Considering the games age thats also the case
too bad, its landfill now
I mean its decent for a home server or a media centre
and it can still run quite a few games
but to buy one right now you would have to be insane
Can you give me the link to a budget one that can fulfill all the things I said
I can run games but fps arent what my pc can do because being cpu limited with ryzen 3600, I hope the new 5700x3d arrives today
800$ and you are spending over a 100$ on a case?
Ryzen 9 3900x seems like it can do fine
It would be nice to have a better case
I can't be bothered to scroll up an infinite amount of messages, what is this Minecraft build?
For 800$ you are kind of starved of options
7600x are very very discounted
can it run at 20k fps
DIY is hard for that amount imo, I would either get a second hand PC, buy a higher end one on credit, or buy a NUC of sorts
If you are on very old plaform earlier than AM4, it makes sense go straight to AM5
And for love of god, NEVER RENT A PREBUILT NZXT PC
Yes we all watched that Gamer's Nexus video
I bought a prebuilt Lenovo
Hold on so that rig has a 3060, are you also buying a GPU for those 800$ or just the rest of the parts
Lets see.....
Cause then I guess it's not a bad shout to start building with a higher end case
If ryzen 9 3900X is belived to do it for you then this more budget friendly cpu is overkill for it
Brother, UserBenchmark?
whilist keeping your new build relevant
You just lost any and all credibility
UserBenchmarks aren't exactly good lol
That benchmark doesn't tell you shit
and that recently their rating especially when it comes to games got a little skewed but is it that bad ?
Go watch a review from GN
I mean somebody that also runs macros was kind enough to share their cpu
Or check cpu-based benchmarks from : https://factoriobox.1au.us/results/cpus?map=4c5f65003d84370f16d6950f639be1d6f92984f24c0240de6335d3e161705504&vl=1.0.0&vh=
Zen 2 nowadays is considered pretty badly obsolete, but honestly, if you can get it for cheap, like 100$ or so, does it really matter
and everything else
Though I don't see the need to buy a Zen 2 CPU, Intel 13th gen and Zen 3 can be had for less than 200
Oh yeah, my 3600 is a zen 2. It already struggles in some games or things.
Baldur's Gate 3 revealed my problem lol
Thanks for pointing this out genuenly didnt know, I mostly used it as a general guideline to where the items released anyways and was always sceptical of benchmarks in general but hey good to know i need to avoid that
From somebody that runs macros
Dont 13th gen intel cpus have an issue with unaliving themselves over time ?
so they are playing on a 6-yo computer
why is that relevant
They should be fine with newest fixes and manually undoing Intel's insane factory overclock
well they can run stuff at very high fps
and do stuff I need to do also
okay so then I don't see why you are worried when you're buying in 2024
And I haven't heard of 13600KF having crashes either
modern CPUs will beat the 3900x handily
can you give me one
Good to know they finally fixed it
on top of the ones I already gave you, not to mention other people?
I wonder how my intel stocks are doing i bought a few as a joke after they dropped by 60%
Oh... I guess im getting a new case lol
It's still a joke, the company and its products
7600x if you can't afford better, 7800x3d if you can get one for ~350$, 9800x3d if you can afford it new
Yeah
but im glad this joke didnt bite me in the ass
mostly bought them so i can brag to my annoying co-workers constantly talking about investments that i have more stocks in intel than them
I dunno how Intel will kick back into action, they are very far behind
Imo they should axe Gelsinger, nothing good has happened under his leadership
Yeah, i think we will just have to wait and see
Is this better the i9
I p much burried intel in my memory after the first ryzens
3 2200g is gonna remain a king of budget in my hearts
now you're asking questions that are better answered if you just go look up a review with comparisons to other relevant CPUs
a 100 euro combo with integrated gpu that was actually decent to game with
tomshardware or gamersnexus or hardwareunboxed
or whatever you want I guess
techpowerup
Ah : gamersnexus | hardwareunboxed > tomshardware
Like this ?
techpowerup has quite a banger database of SSDs. Very handy to compare them
cant wait for my wooting to arrive

oh thanks
I just updated the link
No problem, I misremember where to go
Notebookcheck good
How often do Yall clean your setup?
5700x3d has arrived, pc is faster
Same with pc
Man, it took some time for my pc to boot with new cpu installed because automatic mobo stuff
Oh yeah, lemme check again. brb
define heavy tasks
for gaming there are better ones, for productivity there are other ones that are better, if you need less there are cheaper ones
I am back, you are right. The ram got set to 2133, I fixed it by reactivating AMP profile 1
This is possible the bios itself got reset when installing a new cpu on it.
Not sure what the button Game Boost does in MSI bios settings
I think it does it by itself upon changing CPU anyway
it probably returns to stock config to ensure no conflicting or compatibility problems
me before cpu change 2400mhz after cpu change 3200mhz

and ppl says u dont need more than 16gb of ram
When I used mine old PC as main I had to run it at 2666, otherwise it was really unstable
Now, when it's running as a server, it holds stable 3200
Why
Well, I am using 4.55 out of 15.5 GiB of my ram
after i closed like half of my vivaldi tabs

cals gets the most unnescessary overabundance of ram award
Here, I am on CachyOS ( Arch Linux variant )
Nono, that'll be soon, when I stick 96 more into this
I actually use like ~50G or so when at work
The memory must expand.

DAFUQ?
