Displays are prolly the only normal market where the best stuff is priced consistently at a specific price, and then gets 50% cheaper over next 2 years
Unlike.. GPUs
i would just get an IPS panel instead LOL
First OLEDs were like a grand, now you can have them for like 500$
Everyone should get a 32:9 super ultrawide
Hell some peep shared QD-OLED for 500 which is kinda nuts
yes
Oh yeah, I got mine for 640 usd
Once u go OLED u can never go back
Let's say I wanted to do streaming, I could ofc use a separate laptop or something, but what do you think would be the best choice for that?
I did start with OLED steam deck
I already converted 1 person to super uw i need to convert more people
Wait for the main course, LP 4060
Shhhhhh low quality eye user
yeah im not paying 900$ for a monitor
I mean, your display doesn't really impact your streaming experience, only your own
I need to save this as an insult when my teammate can’t see the opponent
im gonna sell u instead
I mean, I would need a resolution of 1080p right?
It was me and i ordered it, getting it tomorrow
Guys I need help
AOC AG276QZD2
@tight dragonI'll take a look on amazon what black friday prices are good rn
I would not go below QHD
Trueeee
U know what ima save it too
Alright.
Do I get a 7900XTX if I save you, if no I’m letting him to sell you. You know what, get me one OLED monitor too
@steady sail
Sus file
?
Gif didn’t load kill me now
No
I don’t wanna be saved
Man I fuckin love when KTC and Koorui just do not mention what panel type are their monitors
They sell by far the cheapest ones, yet their marketing is god tier trash
Don’t, selling you. Can’t be sold if you die
💀
Ohhhh right true
I've not heard of HVA panels, that's some new stuff? https://www.amazon.com/KTC-Gaming-Monitor-DisplayPort-AdaptiveSync/dp/B0DF285RDG
Don’t KTC mention their panel type? Iirc I ask them once and they tell me the exact panel in their monitor
Tbf they do, I just saw HVA and ignored it
Cause I've never heard of it
I'm guessing some newer type of VA that's like.. better maybe?
.. wat
Why's there a QD-OLED for 400$
Did display prices just nosedive or some shit
Not really
I am checking rtings right now
Anime Garl yayyyy I buy now
this is the cheapest OLED monitor in Hungary
at 450$
Oh yeah, I managed to solve my flickering issues
Idk I think it’s tcl’s tech or whatever
Turns out there's several bugs with my linux kernel where my gpu cannot go full speed after waking up from suspend
https://www.amazon.com/AOC-CQ27G3Z-2560x1440-Adjustable-Zero-Bright-dot/dp/B0BXC41BTD/ref=sr_1_1?sr=8-1 This was my first option but idk
Experience unparalleled immersion and win sweet victories with the AOC CQ27G3Z gaming monitor- a sleek 3-sided frameless battlestation with QHD 2560x1440 resolution. The 1000R radius curved screen comes with several benefits: less eye strain, reduced glare, larger perceived images and higher imme...
Those who know 💀💀
KTC have one selling at the same price
I though of buying one ngl
I want to love KTC but boy do their specs sheets suck
Eh, I don't know what to do if I have 2 OLED displays
Iirc they have the same panel
If i run OLED I ain’t running two, one IPS one OLED always
That's the same one i linked for 500€, Finland's taxation is just aids
I’ll eat ur shipment
🥭🥭🥭🥭💀💀💀😎😎😎😎🥶🥶🥶
Can you stop with this cringe
No
Anyways @tight dragon, this is perfectly affordable I think https://www.amazon.com/AOC-AG276QZD2-Tournament-2560x1440-Compatible/dp/B0D682HF6R
Get into the world of E-Sports and become the next legend with the AGON PRO AG276QZD 27-inch class OLED gaming monitor, equipped with all the features you need to claim victory as the next legend. Its QHD 2460x1440 resolution, OLED display panel offers superb picture quality and sharp imagery to ...
Since you are spending less on a GPU
Brave for you to assume I even have a shipment
It seems to be a gen 3 qd-oled which is pretty good
Thank you
I actually saw this earlier on amazon but passed it by mistake
Ohh no I believe u built like dat
Yeah for that price even I might buy an OLED lol
Look up QD-OLED prices, they are really expensive for a reason
Go
The fact this one is this cheap, is kinda a miracle
Go ahead
I literally won't cause I swore allegiance with the MiniLED gang
It's hdr400 but idk does it matter that much on oled
it’s getting cheaper cuz so many of em is making a panel
Doesn't really
Just don't turn on HDR lol
I never liked HDR either, OLEDs have already perfect colours
Yeah, been thinking about it. I also have IPS but it is in another location atm.
Trump's tariffs are coming?
True it's like every brand now
Hdr sucks
Ain’t it HDR True Black 400?
Wtf do Trump tariffs have to do with anything lol
Seems to be just HDR10
It have 1000 peak but in a small % window cuz OLED
Retailers can raise these prices whatever if tariffs did happen or not
Wait fr?
HDR TrueBlack HDR400
Oh yeah it's the actual HDR
Their website has far more info, amazon page just said HDR10
Oh, my monitor has been set to DisplayHDR True Black
Shipping will be more expensive
Tax
My brother or sister, Trump is not in office ffs
He is gonna be president tho
And whatever that fuck says is likely not even going to pass
No need for that?
I just remember Trump's first term and I realized he did jack shit for 4 years lol
I'd rather not explain it in a Tech channel
I am hoping that U.S will have another 4 years of jack shit
Instead of some dumbassery
Nothing ever happens
Yeah I think basically every OLED get True Black 400 aka 400 on 10% window HDR1000 or whatever means how bright it can get, no matter the size iirc
Dm me
Ok.
Can someone recommend cheap 4:3 monitors to be used as 2nd and 3rd monitors?
I am noticing that people are comparing HDR1000 to TrueBlack HDR400, is the true black stuff really that good?
Peeps seem in support for True Black 400 over HDR1000 lol, that's rare
Ultra instinct vs true mastered ultra instinct
Something something better standard
TrueBlack means how bright it can get over a 10% of the screen HDRXXXX means how bright it can get
It doesn’t mean jack shit on a oled
Huh, isn't HDR[number] the amount of dimming zones?
Cuz a small dot on the screen can get to 1000 nits doesn’t mean shit
I am perfectly aware that OLED has basically an unlimited number of dimming zones lol, each pixel is either on or off
Thought for OLED you want the HDR10+ standard cause that's what actually matters on an OLED
No, it means how bright it can get, let’s say a monitor can reach 1000 nits peak, it’s HDR1000
Heh, I thought it was dimming zones
🤔
Good info to know
My monitor supports HDR1000
Mine's that fake HDR shit that everyone hates
It’s mainly for LCD monitors as how bright the backlight (dimming zone) can get is important
I mean, I am happy with a 350cd display so I imagine HDR400 TrueBlack is prolly perfect on a QD-OLED if you don't use it above 400cds?
Why tf is that display so cheap then
True black or whatever is more important on OLED cuz it means how bright it can get on 10% of the screen
Imagine if it also was HDR10+ certified
As OLED can’t have full screen 1000nits or at least not for monitor of this size afaik
if you figure it out please let me know
Idk, economy
Still feels too good to be true
or maybe its just the first step towards affordable oleds
Check different shops, it's cheap in a bunch of places
I mean, that one was in America, it's cheap even here in EU
Someone saw your message and went there buy all of em
Here it was 499 in like 3 different webstores and in some places it was 799
Lol minileds have fallen in price even more
Cheapest is now 300 euros flat, down from 500 last time I checked months ago
I'm good with my main display which is NanoIPS, but if I ever replace my quite aged secondary Samsung, it'll prolly be with a miniled
miniled version of 4K240hz/1080p480hz would be end game for me
Still waiting for microled
at least a decade for that to be cheap enough
@cursive summitHey, my friend told me that x870 motherboard is better than the B series, specifically one in the price range, ASROCK makes good boards.
And with my GPU that I'm going for I should look for something more like 1000w 80+gold or higher and not worry about power draws.
Making the ultimate home server can be expensive, but thanks to serverpartdeals.com and their collection manufacturer recertified drives, you can cut that cost considerably!

Objective
X870 is better but you don't need it
Are you sure though?
ASRock I've had two products from, a GPU and a mobo, and they were both shit
And you don't need more than 850W on that rig, anything more is just futureproofing
And yeah X870 is now X870E
go for X870E if you want to drop the dough
u mean 1000w right ?
X870 non-E is like a B650
Fun fact, there's a Asrock B650 where they managed to put pcie 5.0x16 instead pcie4 for one model
Wym, 850W is literally enough to run anything
wait
I honestly want to focus on the longevity of the whole build and great performance for gaming and streaming.
higher end parts usually last longer
yeah i woke up at 4:50 am
A motherboard and PSU will not give you that much longevity lol
im tiered
Very tiered
I would go 1 step below the TOTL if you want a good system to last for at least a couple gens
Buying an X870 over B650 will definitely not give you more longevity, that's not likely
5080?
I'd buy X870 or X870E only for the white gigabyte one lol
well yeah
Getting a, let's say 1000W PSU over a 850W of equivalent specifications will only come relevant in the future
1000W might make sense on a threadripper cpu
They are getting an X3D, so it doesn't make sense imo
I mean PSU is an innocuous place to upgrade I guess as long as you get the right things
I'm still thinking it over, I want to be certain
It shouldn't have below 80+ Gold, it should be at least ATX 3.0 compatible, look at reviews to see if any areas were skimped like overcurrent protection
Btw, I don't know if the 9950x3d really did best all other cpus in benchmarks of factorio
Some PSUs have insane coil whine
That 2023 Corsair is for all intents and purposes just fine for that build they're getting
u dont need it
850w more then enough
1000W I imagine will only come relevant in the future when Nvidia makes a GPU that pulls 600W
Oh wait, that's literally next gen
Hah, as if, amd is focusing on making efficient cpus
On CPUs? Yes
GPUs sadly I wish they were
Nvidia has efficiency leadership and it pisses me off
i mean they are greate overall xd
Yeah, I haven't claimed about gpu because I don't have an idea what they are in the future
If I get a 850W, will I have to worry about power draws?
Sometimes I may be on the PC for like a full day, so idk how much power that can drain
And also 850W are apparently enough to even support RTX 5090 whatever that will be
850W for nowadays is literally the perfect area
That doesn't mean anything, any PSU can handle that
Alright
Like, what exactly are you worried about, how much power in general the whole PC will sip?
Or how much total power will the rig sip so the PSU doesn't blow?
You don't need to worry about total power, 850W is perfect even for spikes
I really want a fanless PSU but my gosh they are expensive.
I simply just don't want to worry about any setbacks in the future, gotta be careful about this stuff. This has been stressing me out all week too.
isnt that just amazon buzzword spew
Considering it was deleted I doubt it?
Also those are prolly listed by manufacturers
and im just gonna wait till amd's next gen gpu's
Really interested with what those will be + Battlemage
I think we are entering the stage where low end will be Intel GPUs, mid-end a mix of AMD and Nvidia and high end just Nvidia
im fine but im struggleing at 1440p
So much people been telling me to wait as well, not everyone wants to upgrade and not everyone has money to spend lol.
you can always wait in the pc space
The problem with that is obvious, Intel has like maybe 1 or 2 generations of GPUs imo before they get axed yet again
you need to know for yourself when to buy
because there is always new shiny toys on the horizon
im just not gonna buy a GPU before next gen
Pat Gelsinger is already yapping how he wants to axe unimportant projects like GPUs
eh gpus age like milk anyways
i mean if battlemage gonna be somewhat great
They only managed to launch Alchemist and Battlemage ain't a thing yet and the idiot is already yapping about axing GPU division
i have more faith in intel gpus than cpus at this point
atleast intel can win something
Like, why the fuck would Intel invest many tens of billions into GPUs
To then just make a major loss selling them and axe the whole thing
arrow lake was such a nothing burger for the diy space
both are the worst in their market, can't fault them for consistency
Intel is terrible at gaming
It's an investment ffs, Intel stick to it
Expect crashes
thats every big company ever tho
Yeah but that's imbecilic behavior lol
If Intel sticks to it, they can cost optimize and actually do something
Maybe
They have a good amount of patents to actually achieve something
well imagine a dozen people can decide on it and it's not their money they're wasting
Especially in shit like video rendering
You can't upgrade any further tho, and the current latest version sucks unless you only do stuff for productivity
Intel has like, a lot of potential for video encode and decode and leadership there
AMD is just doing raster nowadays
And Nvidia "AI" stuff
did even intel released the fix for the gaming performance ?
have 3 gpus in your pc, one for raster, one for ai shit, one for decode
the trinity build
Strictly for gaming
That is.. kinda cool if you think about it
software decoding is just TOO SLOW
Oh yeah, lack of vram where 1440p requires to have 16gb vram to be okay with new games ?
its not the lack of vram tho
its lack of optimalization
Ahhhh, I see.
I think Intel can prolly do really well in some areas just cause their whole GPU design is honestly fresh and new
A lot of stuff from AMD is just old
the encode gpu, my gpu can do av1
Idk I kinda want to see Battlemage and then get Celestial at some point, instead of them just axing the whole project
like i played crysis 3 remastered with RT and i had a good enough FPS
Even if AMD is old, you know they have the best performance at a low budget which is insane
AMD is for budget but also saves you room for upgrading, intel not so much
Btw, discord cannot play videos with av1 encoding for video stream
Does 9800X3D have a GPU?
2CU in the iod
9800x3d still has that 2CU mini iGPU?
so yes but not worth much, but runs secondary screens fine I guess
iGPU, maybe but that's preferable to disable in bios if there's pci gpu installed
I thought they axed it
its the same IOD
Some drivers can select wrong gpu and give us problems
Some CPU's already have a built in AI, so I'd be surprised if it doesn't
I like that they have that little iGPU, great for troubleshooting
Some app use the igpu
Ah okay, great. Been considering surviving on the built-in GPU for a month or so to save up a little extra for a discrete GPU.
Ah, I don't know because iGPU stuff is new to me
Pretty sure you need laptop drivers for hybrid usage
why does the 4060 is the top 1 sell in hungary
Zen 5 iGPU I doubt ever gets usage unless you literally plug the HDMI into it
For linux, that's already taken care within the kernel
Sheeples
use the igpu for secondary screens and void high idle on dGPUs or similar
cheapest nvidia gpu in fps per doller, by far
💀 4090 Rog Strix is 2900 euro
Ain't that a very Radeon issue to have
Well yes it's also fuckin overpriced
Oh yeah, for some reason asus tuf 7900 gre gets
so fast
Rog Strix is quite xpensive.
Smart access video if you have a 7000 series dgpu
the TUF 4090 is 2250 euro
I like how founders edition looks and it is also the cheapest.
2124.45 € here
Can't you just overclock the FE yourself for the same performance?
oh sorry i just looked at it the PNY GeForce RTX 4090 VERTO is 3380 euro
Dunno why you'd want that
Only good Smart Access is Memory
this is 3380 euro
Either nobody or sheeples
Though prices are high cause stock is low, so probably somebody
I kinda want a 5090 even though I wouldn't be able to afford that on it's own with my full budget.
I'm just saying there is a use for it lol it's basically like quicksync on intel
ignore PNY until 5000, kingpin is working with PNY now
A new overpriced K|NGP|N would be fun
Wow, that's some silly prices
it stands for Paris-New York
2.687 in deutschland
Thought it was one of the many chinese names that just don't work in english
Whenever I see PNY it just always sound like penis, it's a horrid name
they are literally the only company the US government will buy GPU from for workstations
they are originally from new york
PNY made all the quadro cards before
Yea read it now, just never paid much attention to them, not really a standout gpu board partner.
pny is solid middle ground right
their only problem is mid CS
I'd rather buy PNY over ASrock lol
Also only ever had one nvidia gpu
ever since my 1070 im on AMD
Imo best OEMS are either Sapphire or Powercolor
None of the Nvidia ones I care about
I'm on my.. gosh, only third now. FX 5200, GTX 680, RTX 3080. the FX 5200 was worse than child leukemia, terrible fucking gpu
Oh wait I forgot, Nvidia actually has a good one
Palit, they make some cool cards
Palit, Powercolor and Sapphire are cool imo
XFX is good as well
went oem HD4800 > HD5770 > HD7950 > GTX 1080 > 7900 XT
Oh that company has some shitty history lol
XFX
Pine Technology
If you know, you know
https://www.xfxforce.com/shop/xfx-quicksilver-amd-radeon-rx-7800-xt-magneticair tho this card looks interesting
Hey they were offering the best value at the time, so using a merc 310 one.
I think I used to have a computer with a geforce 2 at some point, so maybe I'm on my fourth nvidia card now actually
what other company doesnt have shitty history ?
memory long eroded because who cares, gpus were shit in those days
oh and before that some other oem machine weak amd gpu but I don't remember the model number, had 128mb of vram so there was that.
Mm.. many others?
XFX is the only one I'm aware that actually actively scammed people lol
Not literally scamming people lol
Well, not my Sapphire
anyone here have the Soundcore Liberty NC earbuds???
I heard the case is real bad to use, is that true?
HE fans
Soundcore eh, cheap shit
google is free btw
Reddit is also free
Seems you have to hold it in such a way that makes it easy to drop if you wanna get the case lid open
Lana how about you get something that actually works
Nothing new, existed for some time easy swapability is a selling point if you get the exact same fans that is.
finally I can have my own ionosphere in my computer
but not the biggest deal.
is for friend suggestion, buget of 60 euro and the Liberty 4 NC are on discount to 55
LDAC
Fast Pair
ANC profiles
They want wireless ;-;
Brainrot
best board partner

found a pair of headphones for 30 bucks that has all of these and I tested them extensively over the last week, love them. but they're over-ears
yes they do
she want earbuds not headphones
Prolly just typical harvest from a prebuilt lol
don't use those. but my ear canals are goopy and mutated, not because I think they're bad or anything
For less than 60 you aren't getting anything objectively good that aren't IEMs
Lypertek PurePlay Z3 is lowest you can prolly get something actually good in TWS form factor lol
From there on in it it's all the Samsung buds, they ain't trash, tuned by AKG
Foam eartips...thats strange
Foam is imo, ass
Hey, to be honest, I'm just gonna get Windows 11 as a OS, it's just more easier to me. Do you think I still should buy a 2$ key with a 4080 Super OC?
I have some foam ones and hate the shit out of them, they feel godawful in the ears
What else would you get if not Windows 11, that's the only normal option
Yes just get a 2$ key or just do free activation scripts, whatever fits your boat
If you are going to pirate just download windows from microsoft and get an activator from github
^
Obviously not something to link here but easy enough to find out.
AVOID the premade custom ISOs
Obviously, I would however create the usb with rufus
or something like that yea
WinUtil can make custom ISOs now, right?
Also, Lana, check Jabra Elite 4 and WF-C700N
Don't know have never used it.
Im guessing the second one is Sony cause of that awful name

these are 130, thats double the budget xd
Rufus is nice and quick to skip the bs of the installer microsoft account, and such.
clicking on no on all those privacy options.
yeah u can
The fuck are you talking about
The Sonies I see are $79.99
ScratchDir?
i guess
idk wtf that is xd
the ones you suggested are 130
as per usual ...
also it looks like 11 Enterprise LTSC is fully out now, for enterprising fellows
ireland specifically I think in her case
everyone is racist against the irish as usual
plus now they have to avoid sending shit through the UK cause that would have its own fees to pay too
Deserved
nah, the UK deserves the racism, not us xd
the last one is the best
Seems in NL you can have them for € 67,87 on amazon
o hek yeah
Razer is indeed shit and why I refuse to buy a mouse from Logi or Razer or any big company
Got an OP1 8K for my wife and been using it for a bit, it's a nice mouse
I love my Logitech mouse :D
Logitech has some okay things on the lower end but sure.
im happy with my pulsar mouse
Good hardware and good software
I don't understand why Wooters can't just do a simply good mouse
It has to be "unique", there ain't nothing unique to be done about mouses
I actually would love wooting to try a controller I am sure a lot of things can be done in that space with wootility too.
Good software is what's unique in PC mouse market
even tho pulsars software needs to be downloaded its still okay
Logitech has my fav vertical mouse!
good enough for me lol
That's true. If wooting did make a mice then it's officially goated
In terms of software mice are mostly set and forget to me.
Indeed, except I refuse to touch any mouse software cause usually it's just pure ass
Let me set the 2 CPI's I want to use and that's about it.
Razer ones I refuse to even install, total shite
never go near it again
What why?
On linux this exists: https://openrazer.github.io/
Ew, linux
GASP
Razer's trash
elaborate
Bad software, mid hardware
Cause it has really bad software?
Cannot really call current Razer one thing or the other but 2010's they had some really big hardware quality issues.
What about the software that's bad??
Everything??
I have yet to also have a Razer mouse that lasted more than 2 years lol, they all start to break in some manner
There's no arguments to be made on the obvious
software is pretty shit but the mouse itself I have no complaints about, after using it for.. nearly 2 years now
Just saying everything does not do any good job of explaining why the software is bad.
I had like 3 razers, they all are misbehaving after 2 years in some way
I only know 2010's razer and there most people I know had razer hardware fail early.
What if you don't use the software?
My Abyssus broke its middle scroll click, Basilisk stopped working completely, and my Viper Ultimate is constantly double clicking
back in 2010's they had no onboard memory so you basically had to, but that improved nowadays luckily.
those are common issues, overall though.
I got this OP1 now and it's honestly just a far better mouse than any Razer I've ever had
Not to mention, not shit software lol, Wooting inspired
This is unhealthy (from reddit)
double clicking is a result of lower voltages and pushing debounce times to thee limit on modern mice.
rapid trigger
I thought it was bad switches
at the same time!!!!
When you reinstall Windows and get a Razer Synapse popup during the setup.
Not really most of the time, switches are build to last much longer but won't if you lower voltages and leave less room for error in terms of debounce time.
Granted they support that, but the same switches placed on some old mouse will last much longer until they physically deform.
Got to have that good battery life lightweight cheap mouse that also has fast response times.
I use piper
No need for the actual logi software
again vex does not like linux
that said openrazer is also pretty gud
Facts
all libratbag
My G305 has been saying low battery for the last 3 months
I bought a Razor VIP V3 😭 If it had malfunctions like this I would have just got the logitech instead. I haven't had any problems with mine yet tho, and I haven't used it yet either.
Mighty original
No
if you buy any razer product, their mice are probably their best
never seen another type of razer product that wasn't dog shit
Their keypad thing was not too bad at the time.
The hydra was fun to have at a massive discount
but neither were made by razer
keypad originally belkin hydra by some startup
These youtube videos are real over the top..I guess it's just something people will notice over time when using it
oh their laptops were also not that bad
I know what keyboard I'm getting though..
Laptops as qlum said
Actually their laptops are prolly some of the better ones
Other than that, yeah they are dogwater, wouldn't want to own anything from them
Arent their Blade laptops hella pricey?
Fedora is so so slow at writing an os-tree commit damn
Afaik they are normal priced, sometimes they get some cool quirks though that sets them apart
Just got it
100 worth it
Razer synapse sucks tho
yeah, their software is pure computer STD levels of garbage
Viper v3 pro is good and the huntsman v3 mini is good although it has heavy actuation force which is annoying me rn also Razer blades
Its super mega aids of laptop software
Real
yeah i have a razer mic and everytime i need to use the software, i think about replaciong it
Need to reboot now
Ugh
Atomic distros are such a pain sometimes
I know there's a way to live boot into the new deployment
But I don't trust that method
My op1 8k lets me swap the left/right click microswitches
Mic sucks
Biased mouse
😢 another reason atomic sucks
Where did you find this btw?
not true its a og seiren which is actually good
My bad
From xfx
Eh, any light gaming mouse will do, I wanted to get off the heavy Logitech MX Master 2S
@cursive summit WD_BLACK 2TB SN850X NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Heatsink or no heatsink?
Not sure if it'll fit in the motherboard.
push harder
hah
What do you think? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2v8mqH
also its like one of few stereo mics
i'm feeling fooled by Asus...
They claim it's a 540 Hz Monitor while it only runs up to 510 Hz vertically, which means it's NOT a 540 Hz Monitor
rip
yet still false claims. If a car salesman tells you this particular car can drive 200 mph you expect 200 and not 180
probably means you have to OC it via the overlay menu
nothing new most screens do that
well, actually no. They did mark their other monitors correctly. Their 380 Hz monitors are listed with 380 Hz vertically
Imo no heatsink
you have a meme for everything, do you mark?
Yes
they never said it could do 540 with an input
maybe 540 is osd only
or only with a frame doubler
even with a frame doubler it would still be only 270 Hz in reality, which would absolutely be false advertising
No if car salesmen told u u can drive 50000 mph but u got 48000000 that’s still better than 99 percent of cars
Real
30fps is fine on controller
60fps for keyboard and mouse
:P
who tagged me
Can anyone explain, why when i hold W all the way down, it types it with normal speed. but when i press it like 0.3 mm down, (not all the way down) then it types w A LOT faster, like 5-6 times as fast
and sometimes when i just press w, it just writes 3-5 W's
it doesnt happen with the other keys where i have same actuation point
also my visual feedback key is moving without me touching the keyboard. like moving from 0.01-0.16
Thats my W key that is giving the feedback ( just took it down to 0.1 ) and it just spammed it. Like a lot faster than what you can usually type
it has happend before. It worked to just replug it, but its a week old and i dont feel like that should be happening?
it does not work to just replug it
I have also sent a ticket
#1019755933959733258 would be better to search/make a post
unraid sale is live
I just got a brain dead idea for a use of transparent OLED: put a LCD behind the OLED panel so if it's sitting on a static image for a while it can switch to the lower quality LCD and save on time of the OLED pixels for when it's actively being used.
My friend keeps complaining about not being able to see emoji reactions when she texts Android users
iOS skill issue?
Yet when I tell her to update her phone to iOS 18, she refuses because she doesnt want to havew to update her phone to "fix Android's issues"
🤦♀️
no, not at all
The apple washing is insane at times.
Sigma girl
No she’s smart
She doesn’t look healthy
Not sigma
Just stop
Never post a gif again
Are they the type of person you could scare into updating by listing patched CVEs or similar?
This is the same person who exclusively uses Opera GX
so probably not caring much about privacy and security
she also only uses Opera on her phone too .-.
though on iOS, other browsers are just Safari with a new UI
Thanks to Apple being a piece of trash that's a legitimately slower experience too.
yeah...
kek I'm updating my work phone to 18.1.1 right now
they let you update it?!
I'm on Android where my Firefox lets me block ads and not be kneecapped by no JIT.
usually work phones are so locked down
Ew brah
Its still shocking to me that Chrome on Android still cant do extensions 🤦♀️ like wtf google
People actually fell in opera marketing
I guess it's already been cleared by my company
They seem to let you update, my dad was able to update his work phone the week it came out.
AFAIK the Chrome on iOS can do extensions
It's the ad money.
which is dumb if it cant on Google's own OS
companies are usually more trusting of apple updates
I could have picked an android phone, but all apps would be locked down
can't download or uninstall apps
🤫🤐
Apple when they release a spy ware update but your a single mom who doesn’t know better
I use samsung internet because of this on my S24U
Samsung browser got extensions?!
it's limited and they are called "add ons"
No what
No way bruh
but they let you have ad-block
I do like the recent update on Apple of "inactive phone reboot", but the timeout really should be like 12 hours instead of a week.
shame I was 1 year too early for my work phone upgrade cycle, could have had a usb-c iPhone
kek, thanks EU
All distractions from removing the headphone jack big phone at it again
Yeah they need to add that back and add IR with a built in smart remote application.
y nu cursor theme on flatpak?! ;-;
#go spend ur entire life savings for an adaptor
I have the perms right in flatseal ;-;
gotta be honest got this phone for 2? years now and not once did the lacking phone jack bother me
Big phone classic
only chinese phones get IR nowadays
EMF 5g rays at it again big phone classic ⚡⚡⚡
I lave Apple
yeah since like the 2020s, most people probably prefer TWS now
no im still on cable
usbc headset?
no just default apple earpods with adapter
ah lol
I just dont take the adapter off and its basically just a 5cm longer cable
yeah just keep it permanently on it
U should upgrade to some good iems
no
I have some Sony headphones, pretty decent but stupid expensive.
No
Mom said no headphones allowed for me
apple earpods are plenty for teams meetings
Earbuds are painful.
Not enough for my e kittens
Anyway, back to reading my nerd book I borrowed from my library (978-1-7185-0072-3).
Wat
I dont like iems and for the amount I use some the stock apple ones work well enough, no point for me getting something better that I dont need
(Look up the ISBN for context)
I love these, they just disappear for me
Fanmusic

that glass substrate patent looking mighty spicy
is there a newer one than the one from intel some time ago?
oh hm
wonder if it will be like HBM, something amd starts and then suddenly its in high demand amd cant even get enough
Talking about AMD I am really curious how 8000 series is gonna go GPU wise
We know they ain't competing at the high end
ooo sounds cool
Wondering how performance will compare to previous 7000 series
I'm just getting into the explanation of how the basics of modern learning works in these and it's fascinating.
I really want to get an absolute tome of a book at a local bookstore that's for AMD64 assembly.
Pog
It's $100 (IIRC) and like 1000+ pages.
If I had a better job I'd get it in a heartbeat.
(I think I screwed up an interview for a 60K+/yr job today too)
Rip
Welp you'll do better on the next one
If I get it, this one took a decade of applying to similar jobs.
What I learned from this chapter is that you take the error, do a derivative and some other math on every neuron in the output layer, then do some very similar math on the next layer and repeat until you get to the first hidden layer. Then you take all of the deltas you just found, multiply them by a "training rate" (like 0.01 or lower), add the results to the weights and go to the next sample. Eventually you'll hypothetically create a network that can do what you want without much error.
It also hinted at some errors in this process, probably to get you hooked into reading so you don't put the book down.
Watch me flash the motherboard manually.
Let's see how it holds up against a 9mm
Yep
It's the same idea as Bazzite
But instead of focusing on gaming
It's focusing on a developer use case as it comes setup with containers and VM support and all that stuff
The ultimate developer workstation
It's made by the same project behind Bazzite too actually
Didn't know Microsoft allowed VS Code to be pre-installed on anything?
Why wouldn't it? It probably has a permissive licence
VS Code or Microsoft VS Code? Because those two are different things
Still both are allowed to be pre-installed

New Steam Controller renders
Chonky boi
I thought vscode was microsoft vscode
I know there's also code oss and vscodiun though, and that microsoft has visual studio too
Thought visual studio was their brand
Yeah, VS Code is Code OSS or whatever they call it now, and Microsoft VS Code is the whole Visual Studio shebang
visual studio code is a text editor with extra features for programming, and and visual studio is their full ide
it's great that they named them almost the same thing, no confusion
Visual studio is made only for windows
Vscode provided by Microsoft contains telemetry, if you don’t want that you have to compile it by yourself, or dl Vscodium
or code
Wtf is this dawg
Controller from Ohio
UwU I hope people like me.
😭

I honestly really like it
Looks like it'd be nice to use
I doubt that'll be very comfy though
It's too chonk
I think the grip is supposed to be pinkies on the horns and rest of fingers behind the device?
That does not sound comfortable to use
I think it'd be supposed to be held like a bit shorter Deck and without the screen
So really comfortable for most of the people
Well we'll see, I'm not the market for this
I have a single controller which is Xbox and I can count on fingers how many times I've used it
For now looks like DualSense with touchpad in a comfortable spot, so you can use it as a mouse, best of both worlds
this is also obviously not a final render so who knows what the final product will look like
who needs touchpad
I like touchpads, I use the one on Dualsense a lot
what for exactly?
Yeah but the proportions are just insane
Uh... as a mouse?
I cant unsee it now 😭
@umbral heron we do a little eqing
I don't normally do narrow band eq just because of how much a pain it is to do
but damn does it sound good rn
this is for the ft1
for me it overall sounded quite artificial from a timbre perspective, mostly fixed it with this eq
doesn't sound as spacious anymore, but that's what a spaciousness effect sacrifices
Oh so it was you who bought it
Keep us informed how is it, the price is nuts for a QDOLED

slowly getting better
will do
Welp. Vortex skates were not the thing. 24 hours later and I've had to peel them off and just leave the mouse unskated 😄
They just felt too restrictive and grindy compared to just sliding the plastic bottom on the pad.
Dots 😄
Just grabbed a set at random on Maxgaming while ordering some keycaps.
To think I see the day where mansen is mousemaxxing
Fixing bad Logitech design one mod at a time.
Dot skates definitely aren't great on a soft cloth pad
Even worse if they're a slower material
true
Unfortunately they are the only alternative to no skates with this mouse 😄
There should definitely be full size skates for sale if your mouse is from Logitech
Yeah - Ones that block the screw access. Which is the core issue
Ye olde' shitterlight
do you need to access the inside that often?
Yes. Because of Logitech's poor design. I need to open it every few months to clean the scroll wheel. Otherwise it clogs up and starts going in the wrong direction.
You could try another mouses skates on it
Finalmouse shape skates are pretty small and might fit around the holes, they are still a bit bigger than dots
Bad sensor, dust buildup, impossible to get to scroll wheel without taking it apart - And Logitech loves covering screws with skates n' batteries 😄
Samsung surpasses LG with even faster OLED panel South Korean media reports that Samsung has developed an OLED monitor with 500 Hz refresh rate While the company has not made anything official yet, industry sources from ETNews claim that Samsung has achieved a breakthrough in developing its fastest gaming panel to date. The 500Hz refresh […]
oval ones would also work prob
that is most companies
How about a 500Hz miniled, Samsung
only ones that don't do it are asus and endgamegear
Perhaps. But I have three Superlights for now, so that's what I deal with 😄
Hmm, assuming the dpad is as similar to ps4 dpad and have gyro as good as it or even like the joycon. Could be a nice replacement for me.
Yeah but where deckard render
duplicates a hoard of items and gold in front of the old man
nicee
Goated
Welp, Linux gone mainstream, time to switch to OpenBSD
https://cyberinsider.com/bootkitty-the-first-uefi-bootkit-targeting-linux-systems/
Cal, cutie, that was already posted by I think none other than Lana
Was it? Discord search didn't showed anything
Ah it was Quin #🔌│tech message
did you just call me lana
Sorry, quin
anyway the meme part of it is
Lana 2.0
lacking the means to infect all Linux distributions other than Ubuntu

it is a proof of concept so more tailored to one option but still funny

had to replace skates when I replaced the clicks because of course the screws are under the skates
Something something modern journalism
those sentences arent mutually exclusive
Eh, if you don't use Ubuntu with self-signed certificate you don't have to worry
continue reading the ars article and it says how and where it appeared
you can find proof of concepts in the wild, doesnt mean the finding was an actively exploited machine
Oh....now I need to enable secure boot
Though I don't use Ubuntu
So it's not a problem yet
On their new models
They even have threaded inserts on the shell so the threads can't degrade or rip out
wish it was on the old models too
everything should always have threaded inserts
Yeah, Op1 has brass threaded inserts
They also sell you switch modules
qpwgraph or helvum
where i have to go to change wotting settings
Don't cross post across multiple channels
Does anyone happen to know how to find more information about this?
(It's from a 2023 Chevy Bolt)
Maybe here?
https://www.chevybolt.org/
I really don't want to make another random account but that sort of thing might be required. I really wish auto manufacturers made accessing information I have a right to have easier....
guys i think i didnt win the giveaway
What giveaway?
elon's crypto giveaways? yeah I never win those either
there was a 9800x3d giveaway
Can someone help me set my mouse

I swear HU is getting on my nerves
Yet another video where something is wrong with it, and this time there's no mled
People just forget about miniled which imo is best display tech rn
maybe because its only TVs and not in monitor size
cuz it's a monitor?
What, miniled monitors are plenty nowadays?
Miniled is the king display tech for TVs imo. HDR king.
for example?
Uhh?
wait are you mixing things up again
There's plenty to choose from nowadays, well priced
like this IPS mini led
or this VA mini led
mini led is the type of backlight
not the panel
Kay, the products are still known as miniled
but its about display tech not backlight tech
no it changes how the pixel is illuminated
But on a monitor, something like 27 inch or 32 inch imo doesn't really fit the mini led use case
If you are sitting that close to it, do you really need it to be that bright?
I mean mini led do have something that isn't a problem compared to oled
Which is it doesn't have burn in risk
its mostly for better HDR due to better zone control and the contrast
Yeah but like OLED already has good HDR?
yeah thats why miniled is used on ips/va
I know, I'm saying that I dont think mini led monitor would be the best monitor
Especially talking about a 27-32 inch range
micro led would be a way different topic
someone posted this in a server im in and im just speechless
Beauty
It looks good enough for me
the cable management though😭
Slap a side panel on it no one will know
Unless you are running glass, then if they dont gaf about the cable I don't see that's an issue. Most "normal" people just run their PC on the floor anyway. No one will even see that.
I've seen miniled displays in action and I prefer them over OLED
Mainly cause 1) No burn in 2) Color saturation
that cable management is criminal
four ram slots taken up too cooked
no burn is irrelevant, still dont have burn in on my qdoeld screen
Which OLED monitor are you comparing the situation to tho. I've seen QD-OLED and a mini led monitor side by side, I like the QD better
Burn in is relevant for me, so I'm never going to consider an OLED for a monitor
color is fine if you set it up properly on mine atleast and burn in is not really an issue atleast with the latest gen ones
Miniled though looks quite nice in colours, I'll prolly look for one eventually
wym it its relevant for you, it basically doesnt happen
Even hub is reporting faint burn in after what, 6 months of usage?

9 months of never running any compensation cycle and never moving taskbar etc. and at worst you can see where the taskbar is on a dark screen
It's happening, so not getting an OLED
If it self destructs even slowly I don't care, my secondary is 6 years old and that's at least how much I'm expecting it to last
bros just stubborn let him be
lmao
Miniled is good enough anyways
it self destructs if you do it ON PURPOSE
thats what im thinking. still a nice build but they could do a better job with the cables
Of course there's little burn-in risk when oleds are so shit at brightness
Tbh I have no rights to change your choice of monitor but I just think that OLED isnt worse for a monitor than a mini led. TV is another topic
I have something worse to show you
how to get this role?
its not that bad, people tend to blow out of proption how "important" it is for a build to look good but when do you actually just stare at ur pc when you use it. If it works it works
Tbf you'll never change my choice for monitor lol, it self destructs = I'm not getting it
Pre order an 80HE
true youre not wrong
And then I'll have to also enable that hide taskbar thing for that not to burn in either? Not doing it
no you dont have to do that either
I never hid the taskbar on my LG C2. I had around 8 000 hours with no burn-in. But I ran at lower brightness when at SDR.
uh ok
like this one mine its simple and works
Oo, Ukraine 🇺🇦
Helped a guy and he couldn't be assed cable managing
Eventually after shaming him for it he "cable managed" it
cable management aint thaaat hard unless you got a really shitty case
For reference here was his previous pc
I learnt quite long ago when I used to have friends. That to most people the looks of their PC doesn't really matter, it's a tool to them. They don't look at it like we would.
I built a PC for them and made it as tidy as I could, they bought a new GPU and upgraded themselves, and the cables are messy asf after they did it. And they just don't care
this cooler.... my mann
4+4 EPS cable just casually going across the CPU cooler and down the bottom, instead of... up and behind the motherboard where it belongs.
yeah i mean i tuck in my cables as much as I can because its just convient for me so I dont have a mess infront of me when I try to replace or take out parts. But I agree its not important performance always >>> looks. If it works it works
He kept complaining his cables were "short"
If you preorder it you get the role, if you buy it rn you won't have the role. Just like you buy a 60HE rn you won't get the 60HE pre order role

thx
he could still probably get longer cables and make more of a mess
yeah but thats so much better than the pic i uploaded
I did my cable pretty nicely cuz I like my PC on my desk to look tidy.
On the other hand I don't really cable manage on my servers, as I won't look at it, I just tidy to a point where the cable wouldn't tangle itself when I work on it, it's fine for me.
the pc build holding itself together
No problem, hope you are happy with your 80HE
my server just sits as an open bench on a table haha
Hmmmm, they should rotate the aio cap
yeah ture but it didnt take long just need a decent case to build in
and you need to know what you're doing
they should do a lot of things
Naaah
My server just sits in a cheap ass case I found that has hard drive cages, it has little to none back side cable manage space, I just route all the power cable from the front lmao
lmao
i like my setup for my main pc just waiting on my keyboard and mouse to come in rn
I mean who's gonna look inside it, basically no one so idgaf
Unless it's an aesthetic build, like I have a glass panel over it and it's the main show piece in my setup.
I ain't gonna spend 1-2 hours trying to tie up all the SATA cables all the power cables and hide it in the back panel. And when I need to swap stuff I need to do it all over again.
Cable managemtn kinda cringe
I just have a case with no glass and no space for management 😎
I built ny first pc in a prebuilt dell vostro case
that one was even worse
yeah fair enough
maybe i will spend 50 bucks on mouse skates just for fun
I didn't end up living the obsidian pros
I don't cable manage much cuz half of my builds are itx/sff
doesn't itx just mean you are forced to manage
at least a little
I just make it fit
I don't make it look nice
I routed mine just real quick but there isn't that much space
I do manage a little bit so it won't have a cable sticking inside the fan blades or whatever
i hate cable managing xd
I don't have a 3d printer
I use tape
If it were to be sticking in my fan, I just use tape to stick it onto something else
But good thing that I don't encounter this problem, I just let it hang and it's fine
I was gonna buy one but then I realized I could just print one
managed spaghetti beats too much effort
yeah
@cursive summit Hey 👋 someone suggested me this monitor for the setup I showed you last night. What's your opinion on it? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8Q6S98S/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_9S1Z520X2HSNBQZG82FC
EX270QM features HDRi that optimizes color performance, detail contrast, and image clarity add intensity so games look their best and you see every strategic detail. Its bezel-less design opens screen space and eliminates distracting edges that can take your eye off the action. The 240Hz refresh ...
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Fractal Design Pop XL Air ATX Full Tower
Also, regarding the motherboard you suggested, I did some research on it,
It has exploded for some people, or burned out using this CPU for this motherboard, it definitely still works for the 7000 series, but I just don't know that much about it.
7800X3D
every board is fine just update bios
You have any recommendation on what videos to watch for configuration on the BIOs?
no configuration needed just make sure its updated
Alright
What's your opinion on this monitor by the way?
idk check rtings or tftcentral or monitors unboxed and see if they have a review of it
Thank you 🙏
I know right..It's tragic, but it is the most latest hardware tech right now
at the same time... it will go down to msrp rn
but that just means I have to wait
:/
Seems tad expensive for what you're getting but that's a fine panel I guess

looks like kuchi's cousin with those lips heheh
